San Tiago Dantas: ideias e rumos para a Revolução Brasileira (1929-1964)
(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-03-31) Ribeiro, Renato Ferreira; Cepêda, Vera Alves; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4917331423373631; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9352262891584264
Francisco Clementino de San Tiago Dantas (1911-1964) was a jurist, politician and intellectual from Rio de Janeiro who played an important role in Brazilian public life between 1929 and 1964. His intellectual production and political action are deeply connected to the construction of the centralized national State in Brazil and to the country’s transition from agrarian to urban, industrial society. Similar to several other intellectuals of his generation, San Tiago Dantas began his trajectory linked to the Brazilian Integralist Action (a fascist inspired movement), converting to the democratic and developmental field after World War II and becoming a leader and an ideologist of the Brazilian Labor Party in the 1950s and 1960s. The objective of this thesis is to investigate Dantas social trajectory - highlighting his networks of relationships and attachment to groups - and his intellectual production - seeking to map his theoretical and political-ideological formulations - in the period from 1929 to 1964. In the research, I used published and unpublished texts by the author (books, speeches, manuscripts, interviews, transcripts of classes and courses), correspondence sent and received, memories and interviews of contemporary characters and newspaper and magazine reports. The analysis of this material allowed the identification of three political-ideological phases in the trajectory of San Tiago Dantas, described in this thesis: 1) catholic/ integralist (1929-1945); 2) non-nationalist developmentalist (1945-1955); 3) laborist/reformist developmentalist (1955-1964).

In this text I describe the application of the educational product carried out for the preparation of the dissertation of the MNPEF (National Professional Master's Degree in Physics Teaching). The developed product is a text material to guide the production of stop motion animations in the teaching of Physics. The work is based on the concept of perception proposed by Gestalt thinkers. One of the main representatives of Gestalt, Arnheim criticizes the exclusion of intuition in science education as opposed to an overvaluation of inductive logical reasoning. This work is inspired by this criticism to propose a method of visual creation that can be adopted by the teacher as an alternative for visual production that does not depend on computer programming skills typically used in making educational animations and simulators. The creation of stop motion can also be a tool for exercising intuition when produced by students. As for the application in the classroom, both possibilities were tested: video creation by the teacher using concepts of visual perception in the study of movements and the production of videos by students to exercise their perception and also to test the ease of execution of the procedures. guidance material.

Exercise intolerance can affect upper limbs (upper limbs) and lower limbs (lower limbs) differently, with the upper limbs' muscle function being relatively preserved as they are more frequently used in routine activities of daily living (ADL), including personal hygiene or involvement of some of these muscles in breathing work. Despite the relative preservation of the function of the upper limbs muscles, it is common to complain of dyspnea on the part of patients with COPD when performing activities with the limb without support, that is, at or above the shoulders without support. One of the treatments indicated is endurance training, as for example on the arm cycle ergometer. The MMSS training in an arm cycle ergometer allows, by keeping the distal end of the limb supported, that the scapular waist musculature can assist in breathing, prolonging the duration of the exercise and delaying the onset of dyspnea. Despite the benefits such as improved exercise tolerance, quality of life and reduced dyspnea, this method has been passed over to training without support,. Patients with COPD and functional disability may have a greater tolerance for training without support when performing an adaptation period with the upper limbs training on a cycle ergometer, thus regaining their independence. However, there is difficulty regarding its use, since cycle ergometers with the necessary characteristics (measurement of load and cadence, and height adjustment) for the application of training with MMSS support are expensive and generally inaccessible to clinics and patients. Therefore, this study aims to propose a cycle ergometer adapted for upper limbs (article 1) and to verify the effects of its use on upper limbs training of COPD patients (article 2). To adapt the cycle ergometer of article 1, the Mini Bike PRO E13 from Acte Sports® was attached to a table with height adjustment plus a torque wrench on the right crank and a cadence sensor on the table. The study included the participation of patients of both genders, with a clinical and spirometric diagnosis of COPD who underwent an Incremental Exercise Test (IET) on the cycle ergometer adapted until exhaustion. Obtaining as results the evaluation of 13 individuals with COPD, (FEV1 / FVC: 0.50 ± 3.4), 67 ± 3 years, BMI 24 ± 4.14, irregularly active and active. The IET lasted an average of 9 minutes, reaching a maximum load of 4.5 N.m on average, with VO2max reached 0.80 ± 0.25 l/min, equivalent to 36 ± 12% of the predicted. We concluded that the equipment was able to assess the functional capacity when reproducing a submaximal IET in patients with COPD. In article 2, an experimental study was carried out, such as a randomized controlled clinical trial in a controlled block, blind evaluator and parallel group, using the MMSS cycle ergometer adapted in article 1. The training protocol lasted a total of 8 weeks, three times a week, 50 minutes each session. Patients were divided into Intervention (IG) and Control (CG) groups. Both started the sessions with stretching of the main muscle groups, followed by heating for three minutes with no load on the MMSS cycle ergometer at a 70 rpm without load. In the IG, they performed another 30 minutes with a load of 70% of the work rate found in the incremental upper limb test and ended with three minutes of cooling down without load. In the CG, all training on the cycle ergometer was carried out without load. To test the exercise capacity, IET and constant load test (CLT) were performed, to verify the functional capacity, the six minute pegboard and ring test (6-PBRT) and the TGlittre were performed, and to verify the health-related quality of life Saint George Respiratory Questionnaire (SGRQ) is applied. The IG obtained better results after the intervention than the CG in the physical tests IET load (+0.91), IET VO2 (+0.20), CLT time (+ 3min), and only the IG reached the minimum important difference in the CLT (+1.75 min). Both groups reached the minimum important difference in Glittre (GC -38 sec; GI -30 sec). Despite not having found statistical relevance, the present study showed that MMSS training in the proposed adapted cycle ergometer tends to be effective in improving physical capacity and functional status.

The search for barbados gooseberry (Pereskia aculeata Mill.) has encouraged its cultivation on a bigger scale. However, the species’ demand for nutrients and response to fertilization is not yet established. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of fertilization in agronomical, chemical and sensorial characteristics of Barbados gooseberry in a narrow row spacing and successive crops. The individuals have been cultivated without fertilization, and also with mineral and organic fertilizers, in a randomized block design with 7 replicates. Production analyses were carried out at 210, 270 and 330 days after transplanting (DAT), whereas mineral and protein contents were measured at 210 and 330 DAT and sensory analysis happened at 330 DAT. The mineral fertilization was more efficient to supply nutrients (P,K) and increase productivity.Fertilizers didn’t differ on their leaf protein content, chlorophyll concentrations and sensory characteristics.

Context: With the increasing presence of technology in daily life, it is crucial to guarantee the quality of software products, which can be reached by testing activity. However, testing is highly expensive, once it is responsible for, in most cases, more than half of the software development cost. Among the existing testing criteria, mutation testing is highlighted once it is capable of revealing specific faults in software. Although mutation testing is effective, test data generation and live mutants analysis make the activity unfeasible because it is still required considerable human intervention. Goals: Therefore, this paper aims at evaluating four automatic test data generators (EvoSuite, JTeXpert, Palus, and Randoop), focusing on mutation testing, by measuring adequacy, effectiveness and cost. The first three of these generators implement heuristics during test data generation and they are evaluated both individually and combined, using as baseline a randomic generator. Method: Such generators are compared by conducting an experiment with 33 software products implemented in Java. Adequacy is measured regarding statement coverage, effectiveness regarding mutation score and cost regarding the number of generated test cases. For each generator we generated 10 different test sets for each one of the 33 analysed programs, totaling 1320 distincts test sets. Results: Results show, when we analyze the generators individually, it is not possible to conclude there is a difference between them. However, when we combine the heuristic-based generators, it is possible to conclude there is significant improvement when compared to the randomic generator. Moreover, when we combine all generators, including the randomic one, we obtained improvments of 0,2% in statement coverage and 4% in effectiveness, but we also obtained a significant increase in cost. Conclusion: In general, we observe there is a complementary aspect between the three automatic test data generators and they should be combined to improve the quality of test sets regarding mutation score. However, even with such combination, there is still 25% of the generated mutants which remain alive, indicating there is still room for improvements on quality of the used generators.

Quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa) and amaranth (Amaranthus spp.) are pseudocereals with elevated nutritional and functional qualities. The first chapter presents a review of the literature on quinoa and amaranth, highlighting their morphological, agronomic, nutritional and socioeconomic aspects. In the second chapter, the objective was to identify the profile of consumers of quinoa and amaranth in addition to observing their consumption habits in relation to these foods. The data was collected through the application of an online questionnaire, which contained questions about the consumer's profile, the knowledge and consumption of quinoa and amaranth, the diversification of food and the preference and choice of packaging. In the third chapter, the objective was to evaluate the hydration kinetics of quinoa and amaranth grains, in order to observe the transfer of water mass to the grains. Tests were carried out at four temperatures (25, 50, 75 and 100 °C), monitoring the mass gain by water absorption and applying the Peleg model to the data obtained. It was concluded that quinoa and amaranth have great potential for composing functional diets, bringing benefits to the health of those who consume them, and that broader dissemination of these foods can contribute to their inclusion in the diet of more and more people.

The gradual obtaining of prerogatives from the Federal Prosecution Service started in the dictatorial period and enshrined with the promulgation of the 1988 Constitution, points to a course of institutional strengthening. This development was accompanied by the national press, with articles portraying the protagonists of the debates in this context. This monograph aims to reconstruct this process from the news coverage, identifying actors in dispute, regarding the MPF's prerogatives, during the 1987/88 National Constituent Assembly. The theoretical approach starts from the Bourdieusian concept of the field to identify the narratives and forces in dispute. The methodology is based on document analysis based on three strategies: 1) analysis of news content published by the newspapers “O Estado de S. Paulo” and “Folha de S. Paulo”, between 1985 and 1988; 2) exploratory bibliography study that addresses the lobby carried out by the Federal Prosecution Service; and 3) documentary analysis of the preliminary draft approved by the Subcommittee of the Judiciary and the Federal Prosecution Service, as well as the articles referring to the MPF in the constitutional text promulgated in 1988. The media outlined a positive portrait in defense of an institution's prerogatives and attributions that it was beginning to emerge as a defender of society and that, therefore, constituted a substantial legal protection against the arbitrariness experienced in the regime of exception. There was a congruence between the content of the speeches conveyed by the news coverage, by the MPF, by the preliminary draft of the SPJMP and, in large part, by the constitutional text approved in 1988.

A alfabetização é nossa!
This paper presents a qualitative research in the field of Education, focusing on literacy skills in the modality of rural education, specifically that literacy, as a teaching and learning process, offered to students living in agrarian reform settlements and other peasant communities that practice family agriculture, seeking to verify the contributions of research based on dialogical learning to this theme. This is a bibliographical study, dedicated to the analysis of articles gathered from international scientific indexing databases, with the objective of verifying, analyzing, characterizing, and categorizing the contributions of theories and practices that have, as one of their theoretical foundations, the dialogical learning perspective, especially Paulo Freire's studies on literacy skills in rural education. The research work sought to verify how dialogical education can collaborate to the development of school practices in literacy skills that better correspond to the educational needs of peasant populations. The data were analyzed using the techniques of Content Analysis and Communicative Methodology, with the theoretical input of Paulo Freire and other authors with a communicative base, that is, who take the dialogical perspective as a strategy to overcome inequalities, through critical and problematizing thinking, which is done in the social praxis and constitutes action and reflection in interaction. The research has shown that there is a consensus in the studies of rural education with dialogic foundation about the need to adopt teaching and learning methodologies in literacy skills of rural populations, which take into consideration the rural territorial identity, demonstrating that not paying attention to the specificities can generate exclusion, collaborating to the historical marginalization experienced by rural people. The studies also present a set of didactic and pedagogical indications that point to a specific methodology to literacy skills in rural contexts, in order to value and promote historically subjugated rural identities. It also shows the occurrence of two important subfields of international studies, “Place-based Education” and “Rural Literacies”, which were not found in the national sample set. Thus, this research intended to present contributions to the practice of teaching literacy skills in the modality of rural education, which can promote instrumental learning and critical consciousness and, thus, collaborate to the social sustainability of rural people and their territories, promoting the ethical commitment to help rural communities to think about their demands, problems and, above all, their own social, economic, and cultural survival.
