Currently, society demands high quantities of materials to produce the most varied products. This demand is a consequence of both the population growth promoted by technological advances and the change in the consumption pattern of the urban population. In this sense, there is a need to reuse materials in order to avoid burdening the environment with their primary production. Metallic materials, the focus of this work, present high energy consumption and environmental degradation in their production process, and an alternative for the production of metals is through the reinsertion of materials already used in the production chain, a process called recycling. This work analyzed series of historical data on solid waste generation, recycling and values associated with the process, focusing on the main metallic materials used in Brazil, iron, aluminum and copper. The data obtained from government studies (mainly from the Ministry of Mines and Energy and the National Mining Agency), business organizations (such as Instituto Aço Brasil, Associação Brasileira do Alumínio and Associação Brasileira do Cobre) and non-governmental organizations and, with data and information obtained from the literature review about the primary production processes of metals, allowed to parametrically estimate the specific consumption of energy and raw materials, specific generation of greenhouse gases and the reduction of these factors with the secondary production of metals through recycling. The estimated values were arranged in illustrative graphs in order to provide a better visualization of the total values of savings and environmental unburdening with recycling. It was concluded that recycling as a production process saves an enormous amount of greenhouse gas generation, ore, and energy when compared to the process of obtaining virgin material. However, the recycling process is still far short of its true potential, since only a small portion of the waste is recycled, generating a large economic and environmental loss.

Considering the positive relationship between social skills and academic performance, this study aimed to: a) develop, implement and evaluate a thematic project of science concepts based on concrete models for a room in the early years of elementary school, with a blind student and, b) characterize the social skills and social status of this student. This is a research-action study, with a qualitative approach and descriptive design, which included the participation of a student with acquired blindness without other disabilities, from the 2nd year of elementary school at a public school, his teacher at the regular classroom, and classmates as informants. Three broader concepts related to the area of natural sciences were developed by the teacher in the school space, considering the principles of Universal Design for Learning: water cycle; photosynthesis and fruits. The description and analysis of pedagogical mediations were recorded in the Protocol for registration and evaluation of curricular pedagogical activities. The acquisition of concepts was evaluated by means of specific questions asked to the blind student about such concepts and the answers, recorded in audio and recorded in the field diary. For the analysis of the data, categories of analysis were elaborated about the mediated concepts. To assess the social status and social skills of the participant, the Sociometric Referral Protocol and the Social Skills Assessment System were used, whose data were analyzed based on the manual of the instruments (social status and social skills). Although the scarcity of time and limited support for the preparation of resources are configured as major challenges faced, there were positive changes in the conceptual learning of blind student, in his social status and gains for the school community where the research was developed. The student presented a good repertoire of social skills, both in self-assessment, in the evaluation of the mother and the teacher. However, it was identified that, although the student has a specialist teacher in braille at school, there is a need for investments to improve the student's overall academic performance.

Metaphors, a topic that arouses great interest among scholars, have been approached from different perspectives. Seen as a cognitive resource of language, it is now understood as a fundamental mechanism for understanding several human experiences and it is present in everyday life, no longer seen only as a stylistic mechanism of language, restricted to rhetoric and literature. Thus, metaphor, as a productive naming strategy, is also relevant for the analysis of the object of linguistic-based descriptive terminological studies. In this sense, the present thesis has as main objective to analyze the linguistic metaphors present in the petroleum universe within the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP), especially in Angola, Brazil and Portugal. The objective was also to identify the conceptual and denominational differences that exist among the varieties of Portuguese in the member States included in this research and to propose a classification of the metaphorical models of petroleum terminology. The Conceptual Metaphor Theory (CMT) by Lakoff and Johnson (1980) and, in the scope of Terminology, the Sociocognitive Terminology Theory (STT) by Temmerman (2000) are taken as the theoretical basis of this study. With regard to methodological aspects, the only terminological work in Portuguese on petroleum was considered as a data source, covering the three varieties of Portuguese from the aforementioned countries. The dictionary in question, which was called lexicographical corpus, is monolingual with English equivalences. As it is a printed work, it was necessary to digitize it and treat it computationally, so that it was possible to manipulate such a large volume of data. The analyses were divided into two parts: (1) domain metaphors, in which it was sought to demonstrate the motivations of the metaphor, with which areas of domain these metaphors are related; and (2) cultural metaphors, in which it was sought to identify the influences of cultural differences in the conceptualization and denomination of concepts in petroleum terminology by professionals in those countries. Regarding the results of the analyses of part (1), four aspects were observed: (i) metaphors of perception of similarities between scientific and non-scientific domains; (ii) ontological metaphors of personification; (iii) metaphors motivated by domains of metaphorical nuclei of human-world relations; and (iv) metaphors of visual domains; as can be seen in the terms canhão de ar, óleo morto, poço mãe e linha de matar, belonging to each aspect, respectively. Regarding the results of the analyses of part (2), 10 sets were presented that contrast the three varieties of Portuguese investigated in this thesis. Through the analyses, it was possible to understand that the similarity relations are usually linked to the form and/or function of the referents, hence the importance of mapping similarities between domains to understand how specialized knowledge is structured. It was also observed that, when naming a particular entity, conceptual traits are evidenced, which often differ when related to the different varieties of Portuguese, because, although it is the same language, there is always diversity in the conceptualization of reality.

The new population density in urban spaces encouraged a change in the relationship between people and cities. Smart Cities are an alternative approach that seeks quality of life, sustainability of resources and economic creativity through technology. However, this is a relatively new concept in urban planning and still lacks standardized definitions, and cities that are considered Smart have very different solutions. This paper aims to present Smart City initiatives around the world, categorizing such initiatives into sectors to understand what are the main components of a Smart City. In addition, it seeks to identify the main indicators and rankings in the literature and normative references. Using a ranking of the national territory, the intention of the work is to position São Carlos against the Smart concept, presenting proposals for improvements that would help the city to advance in the ranking. For example, the adoption of intelligent lighting, a monitoring system for hazardous areas and the expansion of cycle paths could help São Carlos advance from 70th to 5th position in the ranking.

As the roll-out of fifth-generation mobile communications networks takes place around the world. Researchers join efforts to start the development of the next generation, the 6G. For the sixth generation, even more, demanding requirements in terms of frequency and security are expected. In this context, for this work the probability of secrecy outage of a hybrid radio frequency (RF) network and visible light communications (VLC) in the presence of a spy. It is assumed that the data is transmitted by RF and VLC, simultaneously, following a proposed multiplexing scheme. In addition, both users have multi-homing capabilities, so they are able to receive data from both access points simultaneously. For performance analysis, an integral expression and an asymptotic expression of the secrecy outage probability are formulated and both are validated via Monte Carlo simulations. The results obtained show that the multiplexing of the signal between RF and VLC increases the performance in terms of secrecy since, in this way, it is possible to take advantage of the best characteristics of both domains.

Due to the growing environmental concern about greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, this work aims to identify whether the important sectors for the Brazilian economy are intensive or have strong links with polluting sectors. In addition, it seeks to assess the sectors that most contribute to the spread of pollutants inside and outside the state of São Paulo. For this, interactions between the regions of the state of São Paulo and the rest of Brazil were analyzed, in 28 sectors. The methodology of this work used the inter-regional input-output model that allows the analysis of the Miyazawa multipliers. The survey results made it possible to highlight the Land Transport and Other Transport sectors, due to their high emission intensity coefficients. Considering the Miyazawa multipliers, the state of São Paulo demonstrates a significant demand from the Energy sector in the rest of Brazil and this presents itself as an intensive activity in the internal propagation of pollutants. The sectors Metallurgy, Land Transport, Mining and Pelletizing and Mining and Pelletizing, a large share of purchases in the state of São Paulo, are intensive in the internal propagation of pollutants. The Chemical sector has a relatively high participation in the internal spread related to demand from the rest of Brazil. Therefore, whether through direct, indirect or induced emission, it was possible to identify that somo of the important sectors for the economic activity of the State of São Paulo, in particular, proved to be intensive or dependent on sectors that have significant contributions to emissions.

Filtro stateless a 10G definido em Bluespec e implementado em FPGA
(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-06-18) Faglioni Junior, Marcos Augusto; Matias, Paulo; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3792055796261017; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3353500361361111
One of the pillars of cybersecurity is the principle of isolation, and one of the main ways to apply this principle to networks with globally routable addresses is packet filtering. With the increasing bandwidth consumed by network applications, amount of connected devices, and incidence of lateral movement attacks, it's important to build customizable and low-cost high-performance filters. This work proposes the development of a stateless filter in FPGA. Stateless filters are programs that given an input (sequence of bits) return a decision, based on whether or not it matches previously defined criteria. The FPGA is a device that can be programmed at the hardware level and with this it is possible to achieve better performance when compared to general purpose processors. Thus, this work begins with the study of some traditional network protocols, such as IPv4 and IPv6, identifying fields of interest. Next, the work proposes a method to filter these packets, initially using the default blocking logic, so any packet outside the filter pattern will be dropped, explicitly allowing only some source and destination IPs and MACs. The importance of working with packet filtering is justified mainly by the potential of protecting computer systems avoiding possible invasions, since attacks, when remote, occur over the network, so the more efficient the filter, the better it can detect and block malicious packets. Thus, this proposal, even as an initial prototype filter, uses reconfigurable devices with faster connection interfaces and superior performance at a lower cost than commercial devices currently available.

ABSTRACT Sidewalks are free open spaces, essential for walking, meeting and leisure in cities that have been losing ground in the last decades to motor vehicles. The walkability understands the need not only for spatial conditions, but also for the aesthetics of the landscape, safety, mixed uses of land and comfort that benefit for pedestrians. Urban afforestation plays an important role in improving the microclimate of streets and improving the urban landscape. The present work investigated and analyzed the conflicts and potentialities for the implantation of the urban afforestation system, discussing its interaction with the walkability. For this purpose, an Area of Special Pedestrian Interest (ASPI) in São Carlos – SP was chosen, where afforestation implementation criteria were used in accordance with the municipality's Master Plan for Afforestation in view of the infrastructure elements. With the data obtained, a map was built with the help of the AutoCad software and then imported into QGIS, where geoprocessing operations such as buffers were used, for the minimum distances analysis, unions, subtractions and intersections. The studied blocks had, on average 75% of the extension of its sidewalks tailored to some infrastructure and 35% of the trees are in conflict with some built infrastructure. Conflicts were verified even in lots with large sets of sidewalks, highlighting the challenge of planning and designing urban spaces that return spaces to urban afforestation. Curb cuts for vehicle access to parking and signposts, together, account for 64% of the occurrences of conflicts with trees. A potential for planting trees along an extension of up to 759.16 m of sidewalk with and without curb lowering was identified, which is equivalent to 28.91% of the total curb extension of the blocks. The choice of an ASPI proved pertinent, as the results indicate that the main challenges to be overcome for the implementation of urban afforestation involve the reconfiguration of the urban space in order to guarantee the prioritization of pedestrians and the consequent improvement in walking conditions.

Introduction: Scapulothoracic muscles perform an important role in shoulder’s joint stability, and an uncoordinated activation of the upper girdle muscles can lead to compensations and dysfunctions that may compromise the joint’s function. The high shoulder request during work tasks makes the shoulder pain a common musculoskeletal disorder in general population, with higher prevalence in women. Current findings support that there may be sex differences in shoulder muscles activation, and it is important to understand how some biological mechanisms can support the development of neck/shoulder disorders. Objective: The aim of this study is to identify if there are sex differences in the relative muscle activity ratios of the upper girdle muscles during the shoulder isometric abduction in scapular plane. Hypothesis: It was expected a higher imbalance in the women’s shoulder muscle activation. Methods: 17 asymptomatic females and 17 asymptomatic males were evaluated, who were between 18 and 35 years old, without musculoskeletal symptoms in the neck/shoulder according to Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire (NMQ) and did not have neck/shoulder pain higher than 2cm in the Visual Analogue Scale in the last 3 months. The torque peak (PT) and the steadiness of the submaximal torque at 20% and 35% of the PT were evaluated by isometric abduction of the dominant upper limb in the scapular plane. Surface electromyographic from upper, middle and lower trapezius (UT, MT, LT), serratus anterior (SA) and anterior deltoid (AD) were recorded. The relative muscle activity ratios analysis was obtained from the Root Mean Square (RMS) values and then expressed as: UT/MT, UT/LT, UT/SA, LT/SA, AD/MT, AD/LT, AD/SA, AD/MT+LT+SA and AD/LT+SA. Statistical analysis: Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS software (Statistical Package for Social Science, version 17) through repeated-measures analysis of variance, with a significant level of 5%. Results: It was found main sex effect for the AD/LT ratio. Men prensented higher values than women (men < 1; women > 1). There was also main intensity effect for the LT/SA, AD/LT and AD/LT+SA ratios, showing that changes on intensity also changed the ratios. Conclusion: Men presented higher AD activation, demonstrating more precise motor control than women, since AD is the task effector’s muscle.

The present work had as main goal to investigate the dramatic expression of children as one of the elements that can build a teacher education in a playful way and welcoming differences, aimed at the accomplishment of pedagogical practices that respect all children and their multiple childhoods. Seeking to answer the question-problem “how to build a preparation of pedagogues aimed at carrying out a pedagogical work that respects and welcomes the dramatic expression of all children?”, the study process was based on the principle that the school should be a place of enchantment and not of disaffection generated by the adult-centered logic that frames and standardizes the ways of being in the world. To this end, the concepts of children's dramatic play, child and childhood were elaborated, seeking to understand how Early Childhood Education and the identity of the adult/teacher who works in this stage are configured, reflecting, simultaneously, about the difference and diversity present in the school. The research stands out as a qualitative study of a bibliographic nature with the insertion of some personal memories. As a result, the need for the school to set up an environment that must respects the particularities and multiple bodies and ways of being was recognized with regard to the dramatic action of children, showing itself as a welcoming place for all. It was verified that the initial and continuous preparation of teachers must pay attention to the dramatic play, in order to build an Early Childhood Education that welcomes and respects children's differences and cultures.

Postharvest losses are significant to the agricultural production yield and generate a considerable amount of food losses every year in a world constantly affected by starvation and food unsafety. Moreover, sustainable alternatives are increasingly sought for replacing or reducing conventional methods of postharvest diseases control based on synthetic chemical compounds, which may be harmful to human health and environment. Endophytic fungi has been the subject of several studies for its diverse biotechnological appliance. Endophytic microbes are widely used as a protection against field disease incidence of crops with economic interests. The fungal assortment such as its wealthy bioactive compounds promote a deeper investigation about this alternative and expansion for new areas as postharvest. At this study, a bibliographic survey was accomplished aiming to evaluate endophytic fungi potential and its products in the control of postharvest fruits pathogens. In general, in vivo and in vitro studies revealed the efficiency of endophytic fungi as post-harvest biocontrol agents due its antifungal activity observed against the main pathogens of this management period. Therefore, the endophytic fungi offer an alternative disease control method more sustainable with the possibility of replacing or reducing synthetic fungicide appliances.

This study aimed to evaluate the effects of activation of CB1 and CB2 receptors on proteins involved in myocardial calcium handling of the tropical fish matrinxã, Brycon amazonicus. Three experimental groups were employed: control, treated with the vehicle (DMSO 2.5% in saline with a drop of Tween-20) and WIN and HU groups, both treated with a single dose (1 mg.kg-1) of cannabinoids synthetic WIN 55 212-2 (non-specific) and HU 308 (specific for CB2), respectively, dissolved in vehicle. After 24 hours, the ventricles (n = 10) were collected from each experimental group and, after total proteins extraction, analysis of Sarcoplasmic Reticulum Ca2+-ATPase (SERCA), sodium/calcium exchanger (NCX) and phospholamban (PLB) expressions were carried out using the molecular biology technique Western Blotting. Increases were detected (p<0.05) in the expression of PLB and NCX in WIN and HU groups and there was a significant increase in SERCA expression only in the HU group. Therefore, activation of cannabinoid receptors CB1 and CB2 can play an important role in cardiac function, positively regulating the levels of calcium handling proteins.

In the scenario of teacher education, narratives appear as adequate tools to access numerous aspects of teaching. The situations that occur in Physical Education classes express a diversity of elements that, when transformed into teaching cases, can help teachers to reflect on the dilemmas found in their pedagogical practices. Through the adoption of a constructive-collaborative research-intervention methodology, a continuing education initiative entitled “Teaching cases and the teaching in Physical Education” was developed. Ten Physical Education teachers belonging to the municipal and/or state network of the central-west region of São Paulo state participated in this study. Through the narratives, teaching cases, and records of the participants, this research aimed to identify and analyze the dilemmas, reflections, and knowledge related to the teaching of Physical Education teachers, based on the analysis and construction of teaching cases. The topics discussed referred to questions about gender, prejudice, exclusion, the beginning of the Physical Education teacher's career, and the organization of commemorative parties at school. Such topics are expressed as dilemmas present in the job execution of Physical Education teachers. Coping actions were proposed for all dilemmas, which involved teaching strategies, activities, research, movies, resources, joint actions, interdisciplinary actions, dynamics, debates, etc. Teachers' reflections were expressed through the analysis and production of teaching cases. The analysis of teaching cases revealed, mainly, the exploration of the pedagogical reasoning of the teachers who narrated how they think, plan and act in the face of several proposed situations. The knowledge expressed referred to specific knowledge, general pedagogical knowledge, and pedagogical knowledge of the content. The latter was the one that stood out most in the narratives of the teachers who, encouraged by the teaching cases, described and shared their ways of teaching, examples, strategies, and explanations. The production of teaching cases was realized as a powerful moment of reflection on the own practice of those who write and confirmed that this process involves emotional aspects that cannot be disregarded for working with teaching cases. The main contributions of the initiative “Teaching cases and the teaching in Physical Education” are related to the professional development of the participating teachers. Through teaching cases, they had the opportunity to externalize, register, share, and appropriate new pedagogical practices, as well as to recognize those they already knew. The initiative also contributed to the creation of spaces for exchanges and sharing of good teaching practices among peers.

This bibliographic research has as central theme educational transformative school practices in Youth and Adult Education (EJA). In this sense, the general objective of this work is to: identify and analyze school pedagogical practices in Latin America and the Caribbean, in view of the contributions of the elements that compose them to the offer of transformative practices for young people and adults. To do so, we start from a theoretical framework based on Paulo Freire, as well as on other authors who relate in a coherent way with this main framework. Following the theoretical contributions of the bibliographic research, this research investigated 55 articles from four different magazines focused on Youth and Adult Education and indexed in the Latindex catalog, in the search to establish whether and how the practices described in these articles contribute to overcoming exclusionary situations. The results indicate that the analyzed practices contribute to overcoming exclusionary situations related to: Human and Civil Rights; Illiteracy; Conflicts of knowledge; Methodological conflicts; Organizational and Physical Conflicts. Such practices can, therefore, be considered transformative when articulating with strategies that relate to the Freirean concepts presented in the theoretical framework of this research. We also highlight articles analyzed that did not seek to intervene in any exclusionary situation.

The referent study has how to explore and analyze the TCCs produced by CLEEsp/UFSCar, aiming at the aspects of informational and communicational accessibility, in the digital dimension. Specifically, the study aimed at a) Gathering and systematizing the work information; b) Analyze and discuss what has been produced by graduates in Special Education at UFSCar, since the implementation of the course; c) Identify the presence or absence of elements inherent to digital accessibility; d) Develop, based on the main information identified, discussed and analyzed, an online TCC portal for the dissemination and democratization of knowledge from the perspective of accessibility. Its preparation is justified by the fact that, until the beginning of the research, there was not a platform that would make available an accessible collection of the TCCs produced during the aforementioned graduation. Added to this is the extreme importance of disseminating scientific knowledge, given its socio-academic impact on the lives of future graduates of the course in question, as they will have a computerized database available for academic use, in addition to an analysis of the which was produced over the course of 10 years. In order to achieve these objectives, the work was organized into two studies, one focusing on the analysis of the TCCs, the other focused on the development of the “TCC portal”. For this, methodological procedures of a documental and case study were used. It can be noted that the works do not have an institutional standardization, but they address different themes within Special Education. Furthermore, through the development of the Portal it was possible to address issues about digital accessibility. Thus, it is highlighted that the research aimed at the democratization of knowledge produced over the ten years of the course, intending to facilitate access to it, ultimately contributing to the academic training of its future undergraduates.

(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-06-18) Gomes, Flávia Camila; Santos, Maria Cristina dos; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1095065753077001; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9179349372005339
This research aims in the State, Policy and Human Formation line of the Graduate Program in Education at UFSCar, analize as its object the process of elaborating and monitoring the Municipal Education Plan of São Carlos-SP, – PME, from 2005 to 2019. In the municipality of São Carlos (SP) the elaboration of the PME started in 2005, with the articulation of the Municipal Conferences taking PME as a central theme. In relation to the local with the national, we analyze the context of democratizing and neoliberal political projects in dispute in Brazil from the 1990s onwards. So, the objective of this research is to analyze the process of elaboration and monitoring of the SME of the municipality of São Carlos-SP in the period from 2005 to 2019, in face of the national political projects in dispute. To this end, specific objectives are to address the political projects in dispute in Brazil after 1990, focusing on the approaches taken on the concepts of participation, civil society and decentralization and their reflexes in the educational policy and policy of the period; rescue the history of construction of PNE in Brazil and its transformations (over time, in face of the projects in dispute) and the impact of the content of recent PNE in the process of elaboration and content of the SME of the municipality of São Carlos; systematize and analyze the content, the elaboration process and the monitoring process of the SME of the municipality of São Carlos, in the face of the political projects in dispute, identifying their possible reflexes on the local educational policy. It is a documentary research with bibliographic support. Throughout the systematization and analysis of local documentation, we identified the contradictions in the elaboration and monitoring process, in view of the inter-federative relations, as well as the conditions of participation of the established civil society. The local experience also showed contradictions in the modern liberal terms of citizenship initially adopted and the neoliberal deepening, as well as the dynamics between the democratic expansion and the instrumentalization of processes, including in the instance of institutionalization of the participation of civil society, the Municipal Council of Education. The absence of an effective collaboration regime, the emptying of financing conditions and the restriction of decentralization to the deconcentration of responsibilities are elements that make up the context of this process, and impose difficulties in overcoming strictly discursive and formal democratization.

Bioremediation is a process used in the treatment of areas contaminated by chemical compounds, in which microorganisms are used for the biodegradation of these substances, promoting the decontamination of certain environments. Pesticides are currently used to maintain large productions, but they negatively impact the environment, with the residues that are deposited in the soil. The main objective of the work was to verify the effectiveness of the microbial community in biodegrading and detoxifying a soil contaminated by the herbicide amicarbazone, which is widely used in sugarcane crops. For this, the Bartha and Pramer respirometry method was used to quantify CO2 generated from microbial activity over 60 days, with three different tools being evaluated (20 mg/L, 200 mg/L and 2000 mg/L) make herbicide. Subsequently, a kinetic mathematical modeling was performed to analyze the results, identifying that the test containing 200 mg/L would produce a maximum of 712.96 mg of accumulated CO2. After the biodegradation process, an ecotoxicity test was performed on Lactuca sativa seeds, there was no decrease in the toxicity of the herbicide in the 200 and 2000 mg/L installations, and it was possible to observe a greater growth of the seedling roots, such as which were previously heavily affected by the herbicide. The results obtained encourage future research on the analysis of the behavior of amicarbazone with the environment.

The present master's dissertation had as its research question: How has the so-called "historical-cultural psychology, historical-cultural perspective, historical-cultural approach, historical-cultural matrix, historical-cultural conception, historical-cultural concept", been configured in the studies on literacy and literacy focused on the education of children under 5 years old? And as a general goals to identify and analyze the appropriation of Historical-Cultural Theory (learning, development, teaching of reading and writing) in research on literacy and literacy in early childhood education. Thus, for the development of our goal, we use as methodology, the theoretical-bibliographical research of theses in the Catalogue of Theses and Dissertations of Capes published between 2013 and 2016, which address the issue of literacy and literacy in early childhood education and are also based on the assumptions of Historical-Cultural Theory. As theoretical basis we use the concepts of Historical-Cultural Theory, such as the psychological development of the child, his learning, the acquisition of language, the constitution of his conscience and his perception of the world, in the studies produced by Vigotski, Luria and Leontiev. After our analyses, we consider that the Historical-Cultural Theory was configured in the theses as a tool to characterize the best pedagogical practices to be carried out with children in Early Childhood Education and also to demonstrate that school education is responsible for the construction of scientific knowledge and for the development of higher psychic functions. We also understand that the theses did not go much beyond what the official documents of the MEC, directed to this stage of education, have already presented, in order to obtain new data and results, thus not having a distance, and these aspects are inserted in the so-called "grammar of schooling". We also emphasize that the teacher's role is fundamental and he/she needs to master pedagogical techniques to teach children scientific knowledge and language use skills and metalinguistic concepts.

Counterfactual thinking refers to the formulation of alternatives to events that have occurred, and is associated with the expression "what if". This study aimed to investigate counterfactual thinking in alcohol-dependent people and those characterized by their acute use. The sample was composed of 104 university participants of both genders, aged over 18 years. As assessment techniques, the Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test/AUDIT was presented, which aims to identify different levels of alcohol consumption, and a daily story that does not directly address alcohol use, followed by questions that propitiate the elaboration of thoughts. It was also proposed a self-report about a negative situation resulting from alcohol consumption. Among the 104 participants, 10 were selected through scores indicative of possible harmful drinking and probable dependence on the AUDIT. These participants were asked open-ended questions to identify impacts of substance use through counterfactual thinking. Most participants had minimal or low alcohol consumption and 11.53% had moderate or acute use. When not stimulated to think only counterfactually but spontaneously, 63.43% presented noncounterfactual thoughts and 9.62% presented counterfactual thoughts. Among the participants who have moderate or acute alcohol use 16.67% elaborated counterfactual thoughts. Among the participants who had harmful alcohol consumption additive type counterfactual thinking was the most present. One of the conclusions is that participants who use alcohol abusively tend to elaborate more counterfactuals, and additive thinking may represent a preparatory function, so that the inclusion of actions in a past fact could collaborate to the avoidance of an aversive consequence, should the same situation occur.

This dissertation aimed to understand and describe the educational processes that occurred during a practice of collective musical composition that happened at a regular school. This practice was stimulated and is the result of a Musical that occurred every year at this school, the consequence of interdisciplinary experiences and activities directing all learnings for a specific theme. All these student learnings provided the creation of a musical composition shown at an open concert. The bibliography has authors who corroborate the perspective that these interactions can be called social practices, and these relationships result from educational processes. Other authors who comprehend music education from a humanizing perspective also were studied. Like the name of this paper already suggests, were proposed activities of musical education that aims to enable the participants, kids of six and seven years, trail paths to compose a song collectively, without having necessary previous musical knowledge. This proposal was developed through activities of musical creation, perception, playful musical games, improvisations, appreciation of different musical styles, interpretations and active listening to songs, expression activities, conversation circles, and collective creation of the lyrics. This study verified that the work of collective musical composition involved educational processes related to coexistence, listening to others, collectivity, expressiveness, interpersonal relationships, and interdisciplinary work. It is noteworthy to claim that this monograph brings main results about musical education for the school context.
