listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Fortalecendo os fios: a emergência dos coletivos de estudantes negros e negras em universidades da região sudeste(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-08-10) Trindade, Luana Ribeiro da; Silvério, Valter Roberto; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9421231847055027; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8982688424097281Since the implementation of the vacancy reservation policy reaffirmed by the enactment of Law No. 12,711 of August 29, 2012 - known as the Quota Law - for self-identified black, brown, indigenous and public school students there has been an expansion of colectives composed by young black men and women inside Brazilian universities. According to the narratives constructed by them, the Black Student Collectives - CENs are political spaces for the (re)construction of identity, strengthening, affection, study and fighting for real practice of that Law. Given this context, in this study was read the processes of socialization, identification and construction of difference, based on the organization of CENs and the insertion of students in universities in the Southeast of Brazil whose stories and contexts can be considered distinct. To do so, I selected the universities UERJ (Rio de Janeiro/BR), UFES (Espírito Santo/BR), UFMG (Minas Gerais/BR), and UFSCar (São Paulo/BR) as places of observation, data collection and research production. My hypothesis is that the CENs appear displaced from other forms of black organizations and problematizing the idea of permanent identity of the group in question. The resulting tensions constitute a complex situation of cultural / racial identity. The methodology used gathers bibliographic research, historical-documentary survey, systematic and participant observations and interviews with members and former members. One of the results of knowledge fragmentation is "Botanic Blindness", characterized by the difficulty to recognize the presence of plants in everyday life. Complexity challenges this simplifying view of knowledge by considering the world as a system. The main goal of this work was to know the participants' perception about Botany, and also to reflect about the possibility of inserting the Complexity perspective in the teaching of Botany in High School. To this end, we first searched for Botany concepts in the different Education guidelines directed to the teaching of Biology in High School, and then we prepared a dissertative questionnaire to know the perceptions of people who finished High School between 2015 and 2019, about Botany, which was answered by 50 participants. The answers indicated a difficulty in establishing correlations between Botany and other subjects, demonstrating a simple vision in the perception of the participants, and it was also noted an impact of specialization, directing the look of the participants to the theme from different perspectives.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Aproveitamento de CO2 para a produção de metanol e compostos C2+ aplicando catalisadores à base de Cu e Fe(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-08-10) Santana, Cássia Sidney; Gomes, Janaina Fernandes; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6718634914051168; Assaf, José Mansur; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9563312407691130; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3509883977768534Considering the approaches to use of the CO2, this work aimed to study CO2 hydrogenation at gas phase and CO2 reduction (CO2RR) via electrocatalysis. Through these methodologies a wide variety of value-added products can be obtained, such as methanol and compounds with two or more carbon atoms (C2+). In a first stage of this work, Cu and Fe-based materials were investigated in the CO2 hydrogenation reaction. The production of methanol on Cu/Zn materials was influenced by the presence of promoters (Al, Cr, Ga, Nb, and Zr). The content, incorporation method to Cu/Zn, and chemical nature of the investigated promoters had a direct influence on the selectivity to CH3OH or CO. Cu50/Zn45/Nb5, prepared by co-precipitation, was the catalyst that showed the best activity and selectivity to methanol, because of its physical-chemical characteristics. Through spectroscopic investigations, intermediates of methanol synthesis were identified, and it was verified that CO adsorbs stably on Cu50/Zn45/Nb5, which contributes to the formation of methanol at the expense of CO. By applying Fe-Cu-Al-K to the CO2 hydrogenation reaction, CO, CH4 and C2+ hydrocarbons were obtained as products. The C-C coupling was favored when the material was reduced at 300 °C and exposed to higher reaction temperatures in range investigated here. In a second stage of this work, the combination of Cu50/Zn45/Nb5 and Fe-Cu-Al-K was evaluated by physical mixing and by overlapping beds of these materials. The formation of C2+ alcohols (C2+OH) was verified, attesting the complementation of the hydroxyl group formation (Cu50/Zn45/Nb5) and the carbon chain propagation (Fe-Cu-Al-K) functions. A statistical chemometrics optimization procedure was used to determine, among the investigated variables, the most favorable conditions for the C2+OH production. The model was experimentally validated and proved to be adequate. By DRIFTS, intermediates of the C2+OH formation on the 50%m Cu50/Zn45/Nb5 and 50%m Fe-Cu-Al-K physical mixture were identified. Finally, in the third and last stage of this work, the CO2RR was investigated on copper catalysts. Cu nanoparticles were more selective to the production of C2+ compounds, such as ethanol and ethylene, when compared to the smooth copper surface. Contrasting results of the CO2 hydrogenation and CO2RR on Cu and Cu/Zn-based materials, it was clear that the reaction environment has a significant influence on the products distribution.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Ursos ao vivo: masculinidades como prática de si no contexto online(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-08-10) Caroba, Pablo Vinicius Pizzelli; Dulley, Iracema Hilário; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3004789177515766; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5321100444679741This research seeks to bring together two distinct themes: studies on masculinities and ethnography carried out in virtual or online environments. Doing ethnographic research on the GROWLr bear-only app, I tried to think of other ways of doing anthropology that weren't stuck in old concepts like “field” and how this can be rethought and reworked within these new ethnographic practices. The concept of “digital ethnography” was created approximately 20 years ago by Christine Hine (2001), who also thought about the limitations that the traditional ethnographic method found nowadays when taken only within its arrangements created in the 19th and 20th centuries. With the exponential growth in the possibility of accessing the internet and the consequent increase in the relationships that take place in these environments, this field has become increasingly relevant and often indispensable within contemporary anthropology. Afterwards, I sought to reflect on the theme of masculinities from the point of view of gender studies and observed the bears in three dimensions, taking as a reference point the foucauldian concept of "practice of the self", which is part of the “hegemony-alethurgy-practice of the self” trio, as formulated by the philosopher in his last courses at the Collége de France. Finally, I was able to conclude that the virtual environment seems at the same time to facilitate and encourage more pronounced “masculine” behavior and also seems to make people more comfortable to say what they really think by “hiding” the immediate figure of the listener.
