Atropelamento de fauna: divulgando a ciência
(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-09-23) Matsushige, Helena; Sanches, Alexandra; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4999886032379825; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5349590379631024
It’s understood by scientific divulgation the process of dissemination of scientific knowledge through the use of simple language, understandable to the uninitiated people in science. Furthermore, scientific popularization aims to make science popular, that is, tangible to the population. Science provides to the citizens useful knowledge to decision making in daily life. The Internet is currently a powerful means of communication, being an important diffuser of information. Regarding fauna roadkill, it’s known by literature that one of the most important reasons of accidents is lack of conscience. Being some drivers imprudent and others ignorant about the consequences of this act. This thesis was formed by the realization of initial questionnaire about the topic “Faunal Roadkill” and divulgation of scientific results on the theme. That took place throughout the most used virtual means of communication of those voluntaries. The questionnaire applied made possible to characterize the profile of the participants, who are in their majority from the state of São Paulo, are at least studying at university, transit daily or weekly through roads, and prefer Instagram, which was the social media selected to divulgate the scientific information. Those drivers are between 27 and 43 years old, have license to drive a car and are not professional drivers. The questions about the topic show that the public has knowledge about public policies, which implemented have the potential to decrease roadkill. However, they ignore the measures which each citizen individually can apply to reduce those impacts and their effects in the ecosystem. Based on this identify lack of knowledge, divulgation was carried on, and a second questionnaire (post scientific divulgation) was posted on the same account on Instagram, targeting the evaluation of the efficiency of the data disclosed. On this second questionnaire there were not enough answers (post scientific divulgation) to elaborate a comparison of the efficiency of the scientific divulgation, probably because Instagram was not used efficiently to do the divulgation. For further studies, it is recommended a more dynamic use of social media, exploring more the tools of this resource. Despite the failure of the evaluation of the efficiency of scientific divulgation (second questionnaire), the methodology adopted on the first questionnaire was an efficient tool, making possible an evaluation of knowledge about specific themes, making possible the planning of the divulgation of information and results of scientific research, and also the clarification of some themes on the topic.

Análise geomorfológica e ambiental do município de Tatuí-SP
(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-09-23) Machado Junior, Claudio; Arruda, Emerson Martins; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3883710507177933; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-3695-3850; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5636461619698981; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7762-5015
The work developed refers to a research of environmental geomorphology and was based on the geomorphological characterization of the municipality of Tatuí, located in the SE portion of the state of São Paulo, Brazil. Besides the geomorphological analysis, developed from the identification of patterns of relief forms, the research also addressed the main environmental impacts that occur in the municipality. The methodology used in the work was based on theoretical references of Geomorphology, dealing with the taxonomic classification and the levels of approach of the relief. There was a bibliographic review of the theme, the elaboration of thematic maps, and field work. As a result, it was found that the municipality has six relief units, whose diverse characteristics are related to the different rocks found in its territory. Besides this, the lithological contacts themselves impose constraints on the area's drainage network, establishing different levels of dissection. Structural aspects such as faults and diabase dikes also influence the regional relief, and consequently, the landscape of the municipality. Allied to these characteristics, different activities related to land use were observed in the territory of Tatuí, focusing on elements related to the urban area, the impact of sealing and surface runoff in the city, which often presents flooding events and collapse of river slopes. A discussion on mining activity is also addressed in the work, in view of its expressiveness in the local economy. This end-of-course paper thus contemplates the results expected by the project and certainly constitutes a base from which future, more specific, studies can be unfolded.

As the popularization of innovative digital technologies consolidates, new possibilities emerge for their use in diverse contexts, including in research and teaching situations. This is the context of Game Engines (GEs) - digital tools commonly used for the development of electronic games, but that can be mobilized to create virtual environments with various objectives. This paper seeks to understand how virtual environments created in game engines can contribute to the field of ergonomics as a tool for simulation and teaching. To do so, four studies were developed and articulated: the first one deepened the discussion about the VE in GE for the simulation and analysis of work situations, indicating the potentials and limitations of this approach. The second presented an initial attempt to systematically investigate the use of VE in GE in teaching contexts by structuring a comparative experimental study. Based on the consolidated experience with these articles and the identification of a gap in the literature regarding the standardization of the development of VE in GE, the third study was designed to contribute with a framework to systematize the creation of VEs in GEs. The last study validates this framework by implementing it to develop a VE for teaching ergonomics that was validated in pilot testing and in interviews with experts. Thus, it is understood that the present work contributes to a better understanding of the potential of using VEs in GE for ergonomics, both in work simulation and analysis contexts, and in teaching contexts. The results achieved here contribute both to the theoretical field of simulation in ergonomics, and to its practice and teaching, which is particularly relevant in a context in which Brazil and the world seek new ways of teaching.
