listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Avaliação do ensino remoto de comportamentos precorrentes em tarefas de memória em pessoas com deficiência intelectual e autismo(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-12-14) Teixeira, Isabela de Oliveira; Postalli, Lidia Maria Marson; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2748282330028870; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4843142572021146The present research consists of two studies, each with a systematic review and an experimental study. Both experimental studies were conducted remotely and investigated, using different procedures, remembering and precurrent behaviors. Study 1A aimed to identify and report studies that used delayed matching to sample (DMTS) to investigate the remembering behavior of participants with intellectual disabilities and autism. We identified 377 studies, three of which were selected for analysis. In all three studies, participants' performance decreased due to increased delay, especially for participants with developmental delay. Study 1B aimed to verify whether different delays on conditional, identity and arbitrary discrimination tasks affected participants with intellectual disabilities or autistic spectrum disorder, and to assess whether the contingencies of tips for engagement in precurrent behaviors (when necessary) affected performance in the proposed tasks. Three young people with intellectual disabilities (aged 18 to 25 years old) participated and four children with ASD (aged six to 11). The DMT procedure was used with 0, 2, 4, 6, and 8-second delays. If the participant performed less than 80% in test conditions (delays), contingencies of tips to favor engagement in precurrent behaviors were scheduled. The results expand the current literature by demonstrating that participants' performance has decreased due to increased delay, especially for participants with intellectual disabilities; and advance the findings on precurrent behaviors as important predictors for the behavior of remembering. Study 2A aimed to identify studies that proposed the investigation and/or teaching of precurrent behaviors in gaming. The results confirmed our initial hypothesis that there would be few studies that investigated and/or taught precurrent behaviors in gaming. This indicates a need for further investigations on teaching precurrent behaviors for problem solving in games, and the generalization of this behavior to other contexts. Study 2B investigated the effect of the Point-of-View Video Modeling (POVM) procedure on participants' performance in the Simon electronic game and evaluating the maintenance of performance and generalization to other games (visual memory puzzle, Ice Cream Memory and Japanese food game), all online. Nine participants with disabilities participated, six of which had been through study 1B. The teaching session began with the presentation of the video, in which the researcher played Simon and showed some game strategies. Next, the participant was exposed to the game. The learning criterion was the presentation of nine color sequences in Simon. The results showed that the performance ranged from 0 to 12 correct responses in the color sequence between participants, and, generally, with improvement in performance after the teaching steps. The results showed performance maintenance after 15 days and generalization to other games for the two participants who went through this stage. Together, the results of the studies show the relevance of contingency planning to teach problem solving, as well as of precurrents in remembering.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Caracterização óptica on-line das misturas dispersiva e distributiva na extrusão dupla rosca(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-12-14) Bernardo, Felipe Oliveira Campos; Canevarolo Júnior, Sebastião Vicente ; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4153664441338178; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-7959-1872; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9974150678615262; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-5560-4421In this work, the effect of different kneading blocks on the dispersive and distributive mixing levels of a diluted PS/PA6 mixture along the screw profile of a twin-screw extruder was investigated via online monitoring of optical properties. Complementarily, were studied the rheo-optical characteristics of the matrix (PS), as well as the effect of shearing on the non-isothermal crystallization of the dispersed phase (PA6), in pure state and in a PP/PA6 mixture, conducted on a CSS450 hot shear system of a light polarized optical microscope (MOLP). Off line thermal and rheological measurements were also performed. In the extrusion, measurements were conducted in transient state, with the addition of a tracer and the transmitted light intensity collected and quantified in terms of turbidity and birefringence. Three different screw configurations were studied. The influence of different screw rotation speeds and barrel temperature on the mixture was also investigated. Rheological measurements indicated viscosity ratios between the polymers unfavorable to the breakage of the second phase droplets. MOLP analyzes indicated that higher shear rates increase PA6 crystallization and change the phase morphology from spherical to elongated, even at moderate rates of 10 s-1, in addition, PS birefringence increased with increasing shear rate and thermal reduction. Higher PA6 content in PS reduced the birefringence, as the polymers have polarizability with opposite signs. Extruder analyzes showed better levels of dispersive and distributive mixing for kneading elements with angles of 90° between their disks in relation to kneading elements with angles of 45° between their disks at the evaluated temperatures and screw speeds. The thickness of the 45° disks had no effect on mix levels.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, A Unidade Multidisciplinar de Memória e Arquivo Histórico da UFSCar (UMMA): diretrizes para uma política de recuperação, preservação e salvaguarda da memória institucional(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-12-14) Ramalho, Claudia de Moraes Barros; Costa, Luzia Sigoli Fernandes; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8110248272001369; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1548181483942000The theme of memory, as an object of research or action in the different disciplinary areas, is challenging as it requires not only curiosity and the search for knowledge, but professional qualification and, above all, determination and passion. For this research, UFSCar is the locus where the implementation of the Multidisciplinary Unit of Memory and Historical Archive (UMMA) is located and this is the inspiring motto to reflect on the diversity of institutional historical sources, their intertwining, entanglement and complementarities, instigating thought to understand all of this, which is reflected in a policy of preserving and safeguarding institutional memory. The main objective of this research is to present a proposal for organizing the University's memory collections by levels of description and grouping into thematic categories and thereby promoting the rescue, preservation and safeguarding of institutional memory. Thus, the result of this study would compose the memory policy at UFSCar. In order to reach the objectives, this research is characterized as being exploratory, descriptive and explanatory of a qualitative nature. The creation of a memory space within the scope of the Institutional Repository is an important initiative for safeguarding UFSCar's memory collections. In addition to the empirical data collected, which allowed a survey of the collections of documents related to the history of UFSCar, this research was also based on a bibliographic and documental survey for the elaboration of analyzes aimed at gathering elements for a proposal for a memory policy through the categorization and typology of information sources that make up the University's historical collections based on thematic categories that could encompass the entire institutional memory. Implementing a memory policy at UFSCar is essential to preserve the institution's memory, safeguard it and, above all, strengthen its identity. The rescue of institutional memory by the servers is equally important for the community and as a way of appreciating all the years of dedication of those who contributed to the construction of the Federal University of São Carlos.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Análise de risco no projeto de substituição de filtro em uma usina sucroenergética utilizando a metodologia da manutenção centrada em confiabilidade (MCC)(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-12-14) Credendio, Vinicius Rodrigues; Shiki, Sidney Bruce; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0573973677787523; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4981586888524295The evolution of engineering and maintenance has transformed the industry, requiring greater quality and productive capacity from organizations. In this context, the availability of the assets, associated to the operational and equipments risks, becomes a strategic point to maintain the company’s permanence in the market. Reliability centered maintenance (MCC) is a methodology that focuses on ensuring the safety and realibility of those equipments. Therefore, this work proposes on following the concepts of MCC and implementing this method to evaluate the risks associated with the replacement of rotary filters by press models in the sugar manufacturing sector. In the addition to identifying the project risks, it was observed that MCC was effective in the treatment of deviations found in the project and in suggesting improvements, achieving greater realibility of the assets. It was observed that the risk analysis, associated with the MCC methodology, was effective in the treatment of the deviations found in the project by identifying 637 risks, being about 20% with a high degree of severity. In addition, 50 improvements were identified and approved for all systems and thus achieving greater reliability of the assets involved, making the replacement of filter safer and more efficient.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Ecologia de Psitacídeos em um mosaico de ecossistemas urbanos e áreas naturais remanescentes em São Carlos, SP(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-12-14) Leoni, Ariane Maria; Reis, Matheus Gonçalves dos; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2925754537368211; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-3861-2032; Dias Filho, Manoel Martins; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1346547036069954; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-0726-7069; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1281956244048837; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-3762-5501Psitacines are typical representatives of tropical regions, with typically frugivorous and granivorous eating habits. Despite the large number of parrots in some degree of threat, some species of this group are common in urban areas, being tolerant to anthropic disturbances and flexible in terms of their eating habits. However, the study of the diet of these species in an urban environment is still incipient, with large gaps on how this aspect of the life history can influence their occupation and performance in cities. The objective of this thesis was to study the ecology of psitacines in urban areas and forest remnants in southeastern Brazil, focusing on trophic relationships. 36 points distributed in the municipality of São Carlos, SP, were sampled on a fortnightly basis, recording the species of birds and plants they consumed, as well as the number of individuals in each interaction, between September and March 2019-2020 and 2020 -2021. Four species of birds (Brotogeris chiriri – Yellow-chevroned Parakeet, Psittacara leucophthalmus – White-eyed Parakeet, Forpus xanthopterygius – Blue-winged Parrotlet and Eupsittula aurea – Peach-fronted Parakeet) were detected consuming food resources of 46 plant species. Considering the first two psittacine species, which accounted for 90% of the records, the consumption of native and exotic vegetable species occurred in all months throughout the study. Psittacara leucophthalmus equally consumes food resources of native and exotic vegetable species. However, the importance of exotic vegetable species was even greater for B. chiriri, which consumes them more than native ones, mainly in the first months of the studied period. In general, the data indicate that the studied species are highly plastic in terms of their eating habits, and that the consumption of vegetable exotic species may be important for the successful establishment of these populations in an urban environment.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Instrumento de avaliação da expressão em língua brasileira de sinais: percepções de uma professora bilíngue da Educação Básica(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-12-14) Paiutto, Isabela; Lacerda, Cristina Broglia Feitosa de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9468232016416725; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6744244846029095The development of deaf students is directly linked to their mastery of the Brazilian Sign Language (Libras). However, the child does not always find in his family environment a context that favors his dialogical exchanges with interlocutors who use Libras. It is expected, therefore, that the school is the propitious environment for this interaction to take place in a language accessible to the student. However, in many cases, the school prioritizes its tradition of offering content learning in written form, which is a practice that does not favor the development of Libras and the acquisition of curricular content for the deaf. In this sense, it is essential to the teaching work a linguistic knowledge that allows the effective evaluation of the students' expression in Libras for planning the educational paths to be followed. Thus, this research aimed to understand the perceptions of a bilingual teacher of basic education about the Instrument for Assessing Expression in Sign Language: Libras (IAELS – Libras) through her evaluation of narratives in Libras, regarding the level of language development and acquisition. It is characterized as an exploratory case study, in which the data were analyzed qualitatively. The instrument used was created by researchers from the University of Barcelona and the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) and contributes to an effective evaluation of narratives in Libras, provoking a broader understanding of the use of the language at school, in the teaching of educators and in student development. The results point to reflections on the use of the instrument in teaching work and its potential formative character in the linguistic aspects of Libras.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Desenvolvimento científico e tecnológico no Estado de São Paulo: uma análise de casos múltiplos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-12-14) Zaparolli, Nathália Gonçalves; Andrade, Thales Haddad Novaes de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5882842888759363; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5536148150473000This thesis understands how the local elites associate, articulate themselves with regard to the development of science, technology and innovation policies, related to the local economic development, specifically the implementations of the Technology Parks in the São Paulo’s interior. The state of São Paulo was chosen because it is the first to install a Technological Park in Brazil and has specific laws for this enterprise, in addition to being the state that most invests in science, technology and innovation. The interior of the state, due to the fact that it has little systematized information about these types of developments and about the elites active in this type of policy. In addition to the search for decentralization of policies around the 1990s. As the Technological Park is one of these policies, it involves the proposal of local development, together with the relations between State-universities-companies, linked to the proposal of science and technology and research and development. A bibliographic survey on neoliberalism, science, technology and innovation policies, local development and elites will be carried out. Analysis of government perception of policies related to Technology Parks. Mapping of the agents involved (individuals and private and public institutions). Construction of fields and capitals, as well as the habitus of these elites.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Treinamento de habilidades sociais e habilidades sociais educativas para mães de crianças com TDAH(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-12-14) Albano, Thayse Loyana Martins; Elias, Nassim Chamel; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4216525883778695; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-4197-623X; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4312216658596011Children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) often have social problems that increase the possibility of social, addictive and attractive changes. Programs teaching social skills and educational social skills to parents of children with ADHD can contribute to changing behavior patterns. The aim of the study was to apply and evaluate an individualized training of social skills and educational social skills for mothers with ADHD in the online modality. Three mothers of children aged between 8 and 10 years old diagnosed with ADHD, but without any other comorbidity, participated in the research. The program months were divided into the following phases: pre-vention, intervention-intervention immediately after the intervention (follow-up). The results were analyzed by the JT method and indicate as main those skills that were the target of the intervention.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, O parasitismo em espécies de Dípteros da entomofauna cadavérica e suas implicações na Entomologia Forense(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-12-14) Rocha, Leonardo Guilherme da; Reigada, Carolina; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5171685489598372; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9895638012058714Forensic entomology, a field of study that uses ecological, taxonomic, and biological knowledge of insects related to the decomposition of corpses to help in criminal investigations, has been consolidating itself as a very efficient technique, being used both in the calculation of the Postmortem Interval (PMI), as well as contributing to the estimate of geographic location in which the fact investigated took place. Due to the great abundance and diversity of insects and their wide geographic distribution, studies about the life cycle, taxonomy, ecological aspects, and interactions become indispensable for the forensic entomology area, associated with the judicial parts, to be used as a tool each time, most useful in solving crimes and investigations. In this work, we studied the interaction among parasitoid microhymenoptera: Nasonia vitripennis, Pachycrepoideus vindemiae, Spalangia endius, and species of the Diapriidae family and four species of host dipterans belonging to cadaveric entomofauna: Chrysomya albiceps, Chrysomya megacephala, Chrysomya putoria, Cochliomyia macellaria, and Lucilia sericata, in order to contribute to the knowledge of the relationships established between parasitoid insects and dipterans of forensic importance, which are commonly used in forensic investigations, as well as to evaluate the potential of the studied parasitoid species use as forensic indicators.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Programa de formação de professores do ensino médio: concepções e estratégias para a escolarização dos estudantes com deficiências(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-12-14) Raiol, Josivan João Monteiro; Orlando, Rosimeire Maria; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4254571422608459; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-0990-6146; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7112678419238517; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-3858-2539The schooling of students with disabilities is a recurring subject of research and over time the discussion followed the political, social and economic changes around the theme. Thus, by understanding the schooling of students with disabilities as a right, this investigation took as its object of study the training of high school teachers. Guided by this perspective, the general objective of the research was to elaborate, develop, and evaluate a training program for high school teachers in the perspective of the right to schooling of people with disabilities. And as specific objectives: a) Characterize the professional profile of teachers who work in high school; b) Identify themes related to the perspective of the right to schooling of students with disabilities of interest to teachers; c) Enable continued training from the perspective of the right to schooling for students with disabilities; d) To analyze teachers' conceptions and strategies regarding the schooling of students with disabilities. The adopted research had a qualitative approach. Data analysis was based on the praxiological knowledge of Pierre Bourdieu with the definition of thematic axes of analysis. Twelve teachers who work in high school participated in the investigation. The locus of the research was a public high school located in the Mesoregion of Marajó in Pará. From the application of the questionnaire and the survey of themes related to the schooling of students with disabilities, it was possible to build the continuing education program that was carried out in its entirety at a distance. The program took place on the Moodle platform, with synchronous meetings through Google Meet. The meetings were recorded and later transcribed. The data made it possible to build the socioeconomic profile of the participants and the habitus of the social agents. The analysis of the participants' statements was organized based on three thematic axes: average model of disability, invisibility and collaborative work. Through this procedure, it was possible to understand the habitus about the schooling of students with disabilities and, in the light of praxiological knowledge, point out the tendency to maintain the social order of favoring the favored and disfavoring the disadvantaged.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Estimação do número de comunidades no modelo estocástico de blocos com correção de grau(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-12-14) Tapia, Cristel Ecaterin Vera; Leonardi, Florencia Graciela; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7805423923220410; Gallo, Alexsandro Giacomo Grimbert; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4037274656833325; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7995991837839001The stochastic block model (SBM) is a random graph model that splits the set of vertices into blocks, and the probability connection between each pair of vertices depends on the blocks to which the vertices belong. The SBM was introduced by Holland et al. (1983) and it is traditionally applied to simple graphs, with each entry in the adjacency matrix following the Bernoulli distribution. Karrer and Newman (2011) extended the model in two directions: they defined the multigraph model (Poisson SBM), in which the entries of the adjacency matrix follow the Poisson distribution, and introduced the degree corrected stochastic block model (DCSBM) that allows the degree distribution of vertices also depend on the vertices, and not just on the blocks they belong to. This thesis is devoted to the problem of estimating the number of communities in the Poisson SBM and DCSBM. We consider the dense regime, in which the probability of connection between pairs of vertices does not depend on the size of the graph, or even the semi-sparse regime, in which the probability of connection between pairs of vertices can decay to 0 (at a certain rate) with the size of the graph. In this general context, we prove that the estimator of the number of communities introduced by Cerqueira and Leonardi (2020) (with the necessary changes) is still strongly consistent.
