This work articulates the personal and professional trajectory of the author, a nursing technician with over fifteen years of experience in emergency services, in dialogue with her training in occupational therapy. It is a theoretical-reflective essay that seeks to analyze the psychosocial impacts of this frontline work and its repercussions on the mental health of workers, highlighting the tensions between lived experience and theoretical foundations. The analysis begins with experiences in emergency care, articulated with frameworks from public health and occupational therapy, to discuss the contradictions between the guidelines of public health policies, especially the National Policy for Emergency Care (PNAU), and the concrete reality of shifts. Issues such as work overload, precarious working conditions, and emotional distress among professionals are highlighted. In this context, occupational therapy is presented as a field of action capable of welcoming, understanding, and intervening in psychological suffering, proposing comprehensive care strategies based on qualified listening, the reconstruction of meaning, and the valuing of daily life as a therapeutic space. Thus, this study seeks to answer the following question: how can the author's professional experiences in an emergency service, marked by overload and psychological suffering, be analyzed in light of occupational therapy principles to propose reflections on the comprehensive care of healthcare workers in these services? It concludes with the urgent need for public policies that ensure not only the population's access to health services, but also the protection and well-being of those who sustain care daily, contributing to more humanized and sustainable practices in the field of emergency care.

The present study aims to analyze how the Service of Coexistence and Strengthening of Bonds for Older Persons (SCFV) and the intersectoral dimensions that characterize it are incorporated into the National Policies that precede its typification. It is a documentary analysis, carried out through the review of three public policies, National Policy for the Elderly, National Health Policy for the Elderly and National Policy for Social Assistance and, complementarily, a description of the National Typification of Social Assistance Services. A systematic search procedure for keywords and a content analysis matrix based on Minayao were developed, where thematic categorization, coding and synthesis were carried out. The results showed that the SCFV was not appointed before 2009, but the implicit presence of elements that already announced its need in both policies. It showed that Brazilian policies recognize intersectoriality, but lack operational mechanisms that fully implement it, leaving critical gaps in execution. The need for funding in training and operational instruments is pointed out.

Given the contemporary challenges related to food security and sustainability, Non Conventional Edible Plants (PANC) are emerging as strategic alternatives to expand nutritional diversity and promote the responsible use of natural resources. This study aimed to develop and evaluate extraction processes using GRAS solvents (Generally Recognized as Safe) for the recovery of phenolic compounds from purslane (Portulaca oleracea L.), a PANC of high nutritional and functional value. The research was based on a literature review and analysis of recent scientific studies addressing green extraction, bioactive compounds and agro-industrial sustainability. In addition, extraction by maceration and ultrasonic bath was performed using ethanol, water and their mixtures (25, 50 and 75%). The extracts were characterized with respect to total phenolic content. The experimental condition that showed the best performance for the recovery of total phenolics was the use of a 75% hydroalcoholic solvent, yielding 22.45 mg GAE/g of sample. However, ultrasonic-assisted extraction with 75% ethanol for 30 minutes resulted in a slightly higher yield. It was observed that the use of GRAS solvents, such as ethanol and hydroalcoholic mixtures, is an efficient and environmentally safe alternative capable of preserving bioactive molecules while reducing environmental impacts. The results indicate that purslane presents high phenolic content, establishing itself as a promising source for the formulation of functional foods, cosmetics and natural pharmaceuticals. It is concluded that sustainable extraction processes represent an essential tool for the valorization of PANC and the strengthening of the bioeconomy, and further experimental studies are recommended to optimize operational parameters and validate the extraction efficiency obtained.
