Interação universidade-empresa para o ensino de gestão da qualidade baseado em casos reais de engenharia
Abstract
The subject of Quality Management in Production Engineering courses tends to be fundamentally theoretical and, to increase the effectiveness of teaching this curricular unit, demonstrate that the use of real data from the area, especially with partnerships between University-Company can enhance the teaching of these curricular contents, as well as assist in improving the teaching-learning process of undergraduate courses that have this type of subject in their curriculum. Given these assumptions, an Extension project was initiated between a system integrator of the automotive sector and the Federal University of São Carlos with the purpose of bringing cases of real problems applicable to the topics covered in the classroom, also defining an integrated project in order to generate greater involvement between the partners. With the project consolidated, the following were elaborated Cases and training to be applied in the classroom; a final project that required group work and constant contact with the company for evaluation of the project's progress according to reports and schedule; expository classes as a theoretical basis the Quality Management literature. As a result, we obtained a robust teaching method that promoted, in addition to joint learning, an approximation between the realities of the Public University and a company consolidated in the multinational market.
