Abstract
The equipartition of energy is one of the most fundamental results of Statiscal Mechanics, appearing in a broad range of physical systems. In order to explore this concept, two computational experiments of the Fermi-Pasta-Ulam-Tsigou paradox were implemented. In one of the experiments the equipartion of enerergy happens and the other one not. The latter experiment leads to the known Fermi-Pasta-Ulam-Tsingou Paradox, with great implications to development of Computational Physics, Statistics Mechanics amongst other fields. The experiments are carried out through a home-made numerical implementation
and a computational research tool available on internet and usually adopted by the scientific community. There is a mathematical analysis, using normal modes, to support the computational experiments.
