Resumo
Catalytic decomposition of methane is a promising route for producing both
hydrogen and nanometric carbon, being a more eco-friendly rout to replace both steam
reforming and furnace that produce industrially hydrogen and carbon black respectively.
However, the knowledge about the decomposition is still in its infancy for large-scale
applications in a competitive view, one of the ways to improve the system is change the
fixed bed reactor for a fluidized bed to minimize problems of diffusion and
homogenizaion, very expressive in the fixed bed system. Thus the presente work modeled
the fluidized bed reaction in the software EMSO to improve the understanding of the
subject and enable studies without the need to perform too many experiments.
