Introdução ao planejamento de experimentos (Design of Experiments, DoE): conceitos básicos e aplicações
Abstract
Experiment design is a technique of experimental planning and data treatment that aims to properly visualize how the variables of an experiment affect the response. Through this technique it is possible to predict what should be the best experimental condition for a given experiment. This work aims to introduce the concept of experimental design, as well as describe how the technique is applied. From the preparation of an experimental design to the processing of data and interpretation of the results obtained. Initially, the theoretical concepts of the technique and the calculations necessary for a correct data treatment will be discussed. Finally, examples from the literature will be shown. The first example deals with an application in forensic chemistry and the second example deals with an application in an environmental study of soil pollution by Lead due to the disposal of electronic material. At the end of the reading, the reader should be able to apply the concepts presented here and interpret the results obtained. Thus, the work presented here should work as a tutorial for those interested in the subject.
