Teleatendimento de terapia ocupacional na modalidade grupal: percepções dos participantes de um projeto de extensão durante a pandemia do coronavírus - covid19
Abstract
Due to social isolation and quarantine measures in Brazil caused by the coronavirus
pandemic (COVID-19), activities carried out by the Health School Unit – USE of the
Federal University of São Carlos - UFSCar were suspended. Consequently,
rearrangements had to be made in order to continue the work remotely. In this context,
virtual therapy sessions emerged as a solution for the recurrent follow-up of patients,
regardless of their condition, and the Extension Project entitled “Health Education and
Occupational Therapy Guidelines for Patients with Physical Dysfunctions during the
period of Social Isolation due to the Covid-19 Pandemic” was promoted. One of the
research groups involved in this project worked directly with rheumatological diseases
and/or compressive syndromes, and the goal of the present study is to understand the
perception of the group's participants regarding the importance of virtual therapy sessions
during the period of social isolation. It intends to analyze the reception, healthcare and
wellbeing of patients, in addition to the adequacy of the teaching material and guidelines
offered. To this end, a qualitative research will be conducted, with retrospective,
prospective and exploratory studies. Semi-structured interviews of the participants will be
carried out, in addition to field diaries filled out throughout the investigative process. The
research is expected to measure the perception regarding virtual group sessions in thefield
of occupational therapy.
