Resumo
Environmental management requires comprehensive analysis of georeferenced data, such as land use and land cover data for informed decision making on environmental issues. In this context, GIS programs stand out, allowing the manipulation, processing, and visualization of georeferenced data. An alternative of growing popularity is the use of the computational statistics platform R, which allows sophisticated analysis for diagnosis of environmental problems, modeling, and simulation. The use of the platform is traditional, code-based, and thus requires the user to have knowledge of R Programming Language, a language of the statistical domain that is still little known in other areas. Recently, the difficulty on the part of the user has been practically eliminated with the help of General Artificial Intelligences, such as ChatGPT. ChatGPT is a language model based on neural networks that allows the construction of code in any programming language, including R, from simple instructions provided by the user. In this paper, it is demonstrated how scripts generated by ChatGPT can assist the analysis of georeferenced land use and land cover data through the Programming Language.
