IoT para monitoramento em tempo real da ocupação em locais essenciais para facilitar a tomada de decisões
Abstract
The Internet of Things (IoT) can play an essential role in helping to face the challenges of capacity and high demand in essential service locations (bank branches, postal logistics spaces, lottery shops, public offices, etc.). Through the interconnection of intelligent devices and systems, IoT enables process automation and immediate data collection, allowing for more efficient management of resources and decision-making based on accurate information. This approach can improve customer experience by reducing waiting times and reducing crowds, also benefiting the quality of the activities offered. The objective of this article consists of an efficient people counting system, capable of monitoring the occupancy of locations in real time, covering both entry and exit in a bidirectional manner. The project methodology uses infrared sensors, the ESP32 microcontroller, a cloud database and a web application. The results of the implementation were positive, with agility in counting, reaching approximately 82% accuracy, adequate classification of capacity and an intuitive visual interface, allowing instant monitoring and solid decision-making for a better experience in the environment. The developed IoT system demonstrates great potential for practical application in various sectors of society.
