Análise exploratória da disparidade socioeconômica entre São Paulo e Bahia: uma avaliação para 2021 e 2022
Resumen
The present study aimed to analyze the distinct behavior of economies and certain variables representing the development of the states of São Paulo and Bahia in the years 2021 and 2022. This objective was achieved through a bibliographic analysis that provided a historical overview of the Northeast and Southeast regions of Brazil. In addition to this, two other methodological tools were employed. Firstly, a descriptive analysis of economic and development indicators for the specified states in the years 2021 and 2022 was conducted. Subsequently, an exploratory spatial study was implemented for the variables of GDP per capita, access to treatment, water and sewage collection, and infant mortality incidence by municipality for the two states focused on in the study.
The main findings indicate significant disparities in the observed variables between the two analyzed states. However, within each state, inequalities are also apparent, primarily associated with spatial considerations.
