Seção de choque total para interação de elétrons com moléculas poliatômicas.
Abstract
Total Cross Sections (TCS) for various
processes resulting from the interaction of electrons with poliatomic molecules
are clearly needed due to their relevance in many applications. The present study
is part of a complete program for the experimental and theoretical determination
of various Cross Sections for electron-polyatomic molecule interaction in
progress at DQ - UFSCar. An apparatus based on the linear transmission
technique with a retarding field after the collision chamber was built. It was
need to undertake experimental determinations of TCS for electrons scattering
by several targets in the energy range of 300-1000 eV. The experimental results
are shown in comparison with calculations using the complex optical potential
and the additivity rule.
