Controle da volatilização de inibidores voláteis de corrosão através de suporte de alumina
Abstract
During the process of the fabrication, storage and transport of equipments, the control of metallic corrosion can make though vapor phase corrosion inhibitors (VCI). These inhibitors are, generally, organic salts deriving from powerless acids and moderate powerful bases and posses, how principal characteristic, high vapor pressure, that for them confer great volatily. Meantime, the majority of the volatile inhibitors utilized contain in these compositions nitrite ion that accordant the new ecologic legislation, is a harmful agent to nature and human. This work discusses the principals polemics created to ISO 14000 and propose a comparative study between traditionally and news inhibitors free of nitrite ion. So, the VCIs were submitted to the thermogravimetric analysis tests and were verify the mass detriment with the changes of the temperature. Following, isothermic tests was realized and was computed the linear volatization velocity constants to the different inhibitors. The efficiency of the inhibitors was verified through the systems containing the different VCIs and the accompanying of the corrosion happened since the beginning for the optical microscopy.
