A articulação da nova direita brasileira em busca de hegemonia: um estudo do caráter educativo do Movimento Brasil Livre (MBL)

Abstract

This study is the result of a central question that is summarized below: How does the Movimento Brasil Livre (MBL) articulate itself to promote a political and educational character in favor of building consensus? To achieve this, we rely on a theoretical framework covered by the concept of Hegemony, through Gramsci (1989; 2017), we reflect on the developments of the term New Right, through Casimiro (2018), Gallego (2018; 2019) and Rocha (2018; 2019). Considering the objective of the study to analyze the content disseminated on the official page of Movimento Brasil Livre (MBL) on Instagram, between 2019 and 2020, they seek to promote an educational practice and basic training aligned with the consensus of the new rights. We adopted a methodological rigor offered by the concept of Cyberactivism (Maia, 2016; Resende, 2019; Ferreira, 2017) and used a systematization of content analysis discussed by Bardin (2011) and Reiff (2022) to determine the 12 publications on the MBLivre page. This path followed an analytical investigation that highlights the MBL as militant leaders of the New Right who operate under educational mechanisms in the networks, promoting the construction of a consensus aligned with the bourgeois class.
