Entre desafios e conquistas: vivências de um estudante de medicina por ações afirmativas na universidade pública

Abstract

This paper aims to present, in a concise and reflective manner, the experiences, emotions, and learning experiences throughout medical school, from the personal perspective of a student from a public school and a beneficiary of affirmative action policies. The narrative covers the main events that marked the educational trajectory, highlighting the challenges faced, the emotional impacts, and the influences of faculty, colleagues, and institutions on the process of constructing a professional identity. More than proposing solutions, this report seeks to raise relevant questions about medical education, highlighting points of tension and aspects that require further debate and in-depth analysis. The work values ​​subjective experience as a tool for critical analysis and a contribution to improving medical education in Brazil.
