Modelo aditivo de Aalen em análise de sobrevivência: estudo e aplicações

Abstract

This paper presents a study on models in Survival Analysis, with emphasis on Cox's proportional hazards model and Aalen's additive model. Initially, basic concepts of the area, necessary for understanding the models studied, are presented. Then, Cox's model is discussed and applied to two sets of real data, allowing for the evaluation of its interpretation and the assumption of risk proportionality. Subsequently, Aalen's additive model is presented, an alternative formulation that describes the effects of covariates on the additive risk scale through cumulative regression functions. This model is also applied to two sets of real data, aiming to illustrate its interpretation and its usefulness in situations where there is interest in evaluating the behavior of effects over time. In general, the work seeks to present the interpretations provided by the two models and highlight the importance of verifying the assumptions involved in the analysis.
