listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Atributos reprodutivos de peixes da bacia do rio São Francisco e implicações filogenéticas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2007-03-29) Vasconcellos, Marcelo Grombone de; Verani, Nelsy Fenerich; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1862746100743391; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6281371147401391In the present study there are presented the reproductive attributes of 12 species from São Francisco river basin, obtained through the hipophysation and manual fertilization of the oocytes. Later the registered data were added to more 23 species, totalizing 35 species. The total data were submitted to the clustering analysis resulting in groups with recognized phylogenetic proximities. The principal component analysis were applied to quantitative and categorical variables resulting in the formation of two great dissimilary groups: one formed by species that presented similar atributtes in relation to the length of the larva newly hatched LTL ,to the adhesiveness of the eggs ADESIOV, to the low relatively fecundity FRG, to the absence of larval movements MOVELAR and to high values for the hatch in hourdegree TE. The other group was formed by species that presented similar atributtes in relation to the total length of females LT, to the absolute fecundity FA, to the presence of larval adhesive organ and vertical larval movements in the water, ADESILAR and MOVELAR, respectively. It is argumented that these two basic reproductive patterns are the polar principles of the different conditions of the qualitative and quantitative reproductive characters that they are so close as more proximities among the species, with rare exception as the Pseudopimelodidae . It was possible to do inferences about the condition of the in Characiformes, Siluriformes and Gymnotiformes, that had your origin, in hypothesis, from nest protoguardadores.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Um processo para a geração de recursos lingüísticos aplicáveis em ferramentas de auxílio à escrita científica(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2007-03-29) Marquiafável, Vanessa Silva; Aluisio, Sandra Maria; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4793072701914550; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7084417567970607Within the context of academic research, English is the lingua franca for various scientific disciplines. It is also widely acknowledged that producing an acceptable academic text is anything but a simple and easy task. This is particularly more acute if the author is a novice researcher and English is not his/her first language. One possible solution to minimize this difficulty is the use of writing tools to assist novice researchers during different stages of the writing process. This could involve, for instance, quick and easy access to a collection of authentic linguistic resources extracted from published scientific papers. AMADEUS (Amiable Article Development for User Support) and SciPo (Scientific Portuguese) are good examples of this type of writing tools. AMADEUS is a resource which was designed to help non-native English users write academic texts. It focuses on the fields of Physics and Computer Science specifically. SciPo is a Web critiquing system for writing theses in Portuguese and focuses on the discipline of Computer Science. A variation of Scipo is SciPo- Farmácia, which is a web-based tool to assist non-native speakers of English in writing scientific papers in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The main purpose of this dissertation is to elaborate a semi-automatic process to generate the necessary English linguistic resources required by supporting writing tools, such as the ones mentioned above. The primary aim is to enable researchers from various disciplines to develop their own aiding writing tool, customized to his/her specific field, with no need to refer to linguists, computer scientists and/or academic writing specialists for help. The semi-automatic process proposed here has been designed to include the knowledge which would be provided by these specialists. The main methodology adopted in this research derives from the discipline of Corpus Linguistics (we have used both corpus-based and corpus-driven approaches). This choice relies on the assumption that the success of such tools is strongly related to the corpus from which users collect well-written text extracts so that they can be recycled and reused in the text being produced. The semi-automatic process was evaluated in two ways: i) clearness and completeness of the manuals describing the linguistic resources and ii) quality of the linguistic resources generated and estimated time for developing all the necessary linguistic resources. For measuring the quality of the two evaluation stages, we have used the statistical system Kappa. The results ranged from k=0.72 e k=1.0. These figures can be interpreted as a good understanding of the tasks described in the manuals evaluated. The present research proves relevant in a number of aspects. It opens up the possibility of generating a computational tool to assist non-native English speakers in writing academic texts in any experimental field, by using the knowledge from the semiautomatic process only. It also promotes the use of supporting writing tools as didactic resource for teaching-learning scientific English and the use of metrics to evaluate rhetorical structure models. Last but not least, it produces a rhetorically annotated corpus which may be used for teaching-learning purposes or in natural language processing.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Influência de restrições intrínsecas e extrínsecas no alcance manual de lactentes(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2007-03-29) Carvalho, Raquel de Paula; Tudella, Eloisa; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3207258034860219The aim of the current research was to examine the influence of intrinsic and extrinsic constraints on reaching movements in 4-6-month-old infants. Age, level of skill and experience gained by spontaneous practice of reaching were the intrinsic constraints analyzed. The relationship between muscular torque required for reaching and gravitational torque was the extrinsic constraint, which was manipulated by different body orientations. Kinematical and qualitative variables for movements performed in supine, reclined and seated positions were analyzed in three different studies in order to verify how constraints affect young infants reaching. The results indicate that body orientation affected reaching behavior in 4- month-old infants. However, when considering the level of skill rather than age, body orientation was shown to affect reaching behavior during its emergence only in less-skilled reachers. The level of skill is thus suggested to be a more relevant constraint than age in the acquisition of reaching. Temporal and spatio-temporal parameters of reaching were more sensitive to constraints imposed by body orientation, age and level of skill. Seated position elicited both reaching in less-skilled reachers during the behavior acquisition and grasping in more-skilled reachers after spontaneous practice. These findings suggest that level of skill, experience in reaching, and body orientation may affect reaching behavior in young infants. These constraints should therefore be taken into account when examining the development of infant reaching. This work supports the idea that the confluence of constraints determines the young infants action and that a change in this confluence can eventuate in a change in action.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Complexos fosfínicos de rutênio : hidrogenação, ROMP - hidrogenação(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2007-03-29) Bogado, André Luiz; Batista, Alzir Azevedo; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6469642481998660; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6327438225583361ON THE RUTHENIUM PHOSPHINIC COMPLEXES: HYDROGENATION, ROMP-HYDROGENATION is a concise explanation about the ruthenium chemistry with donor bulky electron-rich biphosphines as precursor unity to prepare ruthenium carbon moiety. The complexes synthesized were applied as precatalyst on the hydrogenation of double bonds and non polar double bonds, as well as precatalyst on the assisted tandem catalyses of cyclooctene, ROMP Hydrogenation. The dihydride complex [RuH(dtbpm)]2-μ- (Cl)2 have been applied with good results as a precatalyst at mild conditions to hydrogenate polar and non polar double bonds, and remarkable activity over a substrate containing both kind of bonds. The regioseletivity can be managed by simple modification on the variable conditions of the system, applying different solvent, auxiliary ligands trigged on the course of the reaction, and addition of co-catalyst. By the way, the complex [RuH(dtbpm)]2-μ-(Cl)2 is a powerful precursor to afford new hydride complexes containing ruthenium. In the fact of this view, the complex [RuHCl(dtbpm)(bipy)] achieved from [RuH(dtbpm)]2-μ-(Cl)2 is the first mono hydride complex, that is active on the reduction of acetophenone without base conditions. The photochemistry behaviour of the vinylidene complexes containing ruthenium II obtained from the isomerization and -η2 coordination of the phenylacetylene was studied, with special attention to the complex [RuCl2(PPh3)2(bipy)(=C=CHPh)](PF6), which presents an intense emission centrated at 460 nm, when excitated between 300 400 nm at room temperature. The first coordination of the ligand 1-tert-butil-3-(di-tertbutilphosphinomethyl) imidazol-2-ilidene (CNCP) on the ruthenium centre is describing to afford the complex [RuCl(CNCP-κ2(C2,P))]2-μ-(Cl)2.The last one is a well defined binuclear ruthenium (II) complex with 16 electron valence in two chloride bridge, stabilized by the bulky, electron-rich chelating ligand (CNCP).listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, A radiodifusão no Brasil e a ditadura militar : o governo Médici.(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2007-03-29) Silva, Maurício Ferreira da; Pellegrini, Tânia; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0280434883580627; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6622194022254911This research focus on the broadcasting in the context of the military dictatorship in Brazil, during the government of Emilio Garrastazu Médici. The broadcasting beginning has been marked by the decurrently transformations of the industrialization process, during 19th. Century. Beyond the research with transmission waves that had marked this period, the industry brought, for the scope of the social organization, the reality of the urbanization process, motivated for the new work relations. The new urban reality constructs, in turn, the ideal scene for mass-media development. In Brazil this reality is not different, since the first research on transmission waves occurs at the 20th. Century beginning, in the moment of intense industrial development. At 1930 s, as a consequence of the capitalist perspective of market, the radio incorporates commercial classification, that influences the appearing of the television in 1950. Then, radio and TV become private properties with lucrative ends, holding with the government the prerogative for the concessions of functioning and to be acting in the sector, as well. From these possibilities, and considering the strategically paper of these vehicles for the social organization, the government, at different moments and with different objectives, starts to use them to propagate institutional advertising, even though inaugurate its own networks. This use intensifies from the military dictatorship establishment, in 1964. The military government that controlled the national politics during twenty years had massive invested in the structural development of radio and television networks, beyond using them as mechanism of supporting, legitimating and propagation of its authoritarian ideology. The imposed bases created from the military blow at 1964 had served as foundation for Médici government puts under control the broadcasting vehicles, in order to continuity theirs structural development, to establish the censorship of the programming, as well as to create an authoritarian legislation that directly limited the action of the involved ones with the functioning of the broadcasting.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Produção ilegal do espaço urbano : estudo de São José do Rio Preto - SP(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2007-03-29) Santos, Alessandra Cristina dos; Silva, Ricardo Siloto da; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5346985934880710; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3082710111572086Urban occupation in rural areas by settlements without approval is a growing phenomenon in São Paulo State medium-sized cities, and so far, few works have been carried out about these illegal settlements out of large cities. Such theme-based studies are relevant due to the resulting occurrence of high magnitude negative impacts. The present paper deals with the expansion process of illegal settlements both irregular and unauthorized ones , having as a study case the city of São José do Rio Preto. The aim is to study the phenomenon of illegal settlements production in this city, through their identification and qualification, also the search of causal relationship of this production, analyzing the legal situation and the relationship between this production and public policies and the real estate market dynamics and finally identifying and evaluating the resulting socialenvironmental impacts.
