listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Análise de dados longitudinais para variáveis binárias(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-03-05) Rodrigues, José Tenylson Gonçalves; Candolo, Cecília; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9942864590854913; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6344453033829866The objective of this work is to present techniques of regression analysis for longitudinal data when the response variable is binary. Initially, there is a review of generalized linear models, marginal models, transition models, mixed models, and logistic regression methods of estimation, which will be necessary for the development of work. In addition to the methods of estimation, some structures of correlation will be studied in an attempt to capture the intra-individual serial dependence over time. These methods were applied in two situations, one where the response variable is continuous and normal distribution, and another when the response variable has the Bernoulli distribution. It was also sought to explore and present techniques for selection of models and diagnostics for the two cases. Finally, an application of the above methodology will be presented using a set of real data.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Sensibilização comportamental à cocaína e neuroadaptações na via mesocorticolímbica : interação com ontogênese, estresse e ambiente(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-03-05) Marin, Marcelo Tadeu; Planeta, Cleopatra da Silva; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7920438802539727We investigated the interaction between ontogeny, stress and environment where the drug is administered on the behavioral sensitization to cocaine and related neuroadaptations. This study was divided in two parts. In the first one we evaluated the behavioral sensitization to cocaine and alterations of glutamate receptors and tyrosine hydroxylase enzyme following repeated cocaine administrations or stress exposure on adolescent rats. These alterations were evaluated from adolescence to adulthood. The results showed that cocaine administration during adolescence produced long-term behavioral sensitization to cocaine until adulthood and increased of GluR1 glutamate receptor subunit in the medial prefrontal cortex. The stress-induced behavioral sensitization was evident during adolescence but did not reach adulthood. In the second part, we evaluated the environmental modulation of behavioral sensitization to cocaine and alterations of CREB and upstream kinases activation in adult rats. The results showed that the expression of cocaine-induced behavioral sensitization was specific to the environment paired with previous cocaine administration. Moreover, the number of neurons with CREB activation in the nucleus accumbens was increased in sensitized animals and specific to the paired environment. Thus, our results add new findings on addiction related alterations in adolescent animals, its long-term effects and the environmental modulation of cocaine behavioral and neuronal sensitization.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, A dimensão de gênero na análise sociológica de desastres: conflitos entre desabrigadas e gestoras de abrigos temporários relacionados às chuvas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-03-05) Siena, Mariana; Valêncio, Norma Felicidade Lopes da Silva; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7161606146208875; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0223897912354111The increase of extreme events related to rains, added to a vulnerable territory insertion of the poorest, generated an increase in the number of homeless across the country. Homeless are those whose home-use buildings suffered damage and / or were destroyed, causing the disintegration of private living space. Among the actions of Civil Defense in a disaster, the priority rehabilitation is the organization of temporary shelters for the homeless families. In a circumstance in which climate change may cause an increase of extreme events related to rainfall, the vulnerability of poor populations tends to grow. It follows then, the need of the improvement of this public service. Considering this, the general goal, is a sociological analysis on the logic by which the measure of Civil Defense has been operating and coordinating the various agencies and the priority actions, such as welfare, health and others. As specific goal, this project aims to focus on the cut of gender, comparatively analyzing the management challenges of shelter, from the perspective of women in position of command and of those who were sheltered. It is considered that the comparative analysis have relevance in the promotion of adjustments in public policies that require integrated activity of various agencies. It is expected that the qualitative research - from a literature, documentary and field review, and from the collect of oral reports, direct observation and photos - provides grants for public management including the theme of emergency with the promotion of citizenship.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Labrundinia Fittkau, 1962 (Diptera: Chironomidae: Tanypodinae: Pentaneurini) : taxonomia e história natural de espécies do estado de São Paulo(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-03-05) Silva, Fabio Laurindo da; Gessner, Alaíde Aparecida Fonseca; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8465752836529703; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5197844316578286The aim this work was study species Labrundinia Fittkau, 1962 (Diptera: Chironomidae: Tanypodinae: Pentaneurini) at São Paulo State. This taxon is commonly cited in ecological studies, always in generic level. In the Neotropical region are known 10 species, however none specifically mentioned for Brazil. The sampling followed the conventional methods of benthonic studies. In laboratory the larvae were kept alive to obtain the three development phases: larva, pupa and adult. The results allowed the identification of five species*, four of which are new species and the first record of Labrundinia tenata Roback (1987) for Brazil. The species are described with their respective diagnoses. Information about species natural history of genus is presented and propels for the identification keys, for the different stages of life, are given.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Síntese e caracterização de nanocompósitos magnéticos e sua aplicação na despoluição de águas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-03-05) Mourão, Henrique Aparecido de Jesus Loures; Oliveira, Cauê Ribeiro de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5321313558714462; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0164113832193042The development of new materials should seek to products whose properties are integrated to enable that processes of interest are implemented efficiently. Thus, in the search for new heterogeneous catalysts, a challenge is integrate efficiently the catalytic activity with the ability to manipulate, separate and retain the structure from the reaction medium. Thus, this work proposed to the synthesis of catalysts based on semiconductors associated to ferrites, tailoring a nanocomposite. In order to obtain this, ferrites CoFe2O4 e Fe3O4 were synthesized through different methods. It was observed higher stability of the ferrite CoFe2O4 by the polymeric precursor method, while by the hydrolytic sol gel method only the ferrite Fe3O4 could be obtained. Following, TiO2-coated CoFe2O4 (TiO2/CoFe2O4) nanocomposites were synthesized in different weight proportions of CoFe2O4:TiO2 and also the SnO2/CoFe2O4 nanocomposites in the 56:44 weigh proportion, both by the polymeric precursor method. The nanocomposites TiO2/Fe3O4 and SnO2/Fe3O4 were synthesized by the hydrolytic sol gel method, in weigh proportion of 56:44 (Fe3O4:TiO2 or Fe3O4:SnO2). TiO2 nanocomposites showed surface area increase, due the higher surface roughness obtained by heterogeneous nucleation of TiO2 nanoparticles on ferrites surfaces. In SnO2 nanocomposites, the homogeneous nucleation of SnO2 nanoparticles also occurred. Also, it was observed higher photoactivity of the nanocomposites obtained by the polymeric precursor method due to the high crystallinity of these materials. The kinetic evaluation of the Rhodamine B photodegradation using the synthesized nanocomposites showed a pseudozero order reaction regarding to Rhodamine B. Finally, SnO2 nanocomposites (SnO2/CoFe2O4 e SnO2/Fe3O4) showed photocatalytic activity, being this result important since it was not reported yet in the literature.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Adaptação cultural e avaliação dos parâmetros psicométricos da versão brasileira da Need for Recovery Scale(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-03-05) Moriguchi, Cristiane Shinohara; Coury, Helenice Jane Cote Gil; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8631547579695270; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4884773940352714OBJECTIVE: To translate and culturally adapt the Need for Recovery Scale (NFR) to Brazilian Portuguese and to assess the psychometric properties of the Brazilian version among industrial workers. METHODS: The translation process followed a guideline for cultural adaptation of questionnaires, which included the stages of translation, synthesis, back-translation, committee review and pretesting. The NFR Portuguese final version (Br-NFR) was evaluated regarding reliability by tests of stability (n=52) and internal consistency (n=192); convergent validity by simultaneously assessment with other instruments: the Borg Scale (n=59); the Chalder Fatigue Questionnaire (n=57) and 3 subscales of the SF-36 (n=56). RESULTS: Stability and internal consistency achieved the criterion for a reliable measure (ICC=0.80 and Cronbach s α =0.87, respectively). The convergent validity between Br-NFR and other instruments also showed good results: Borg Scale (r=0.64); Chalder Questionnaire (r=0.67); SF-36 subscales: Vitality (r=-0.84), Physical Functioning (r=-0.54), and Role- Physical (r=-0.47). CONCLUSIONS: The Br-NFR revealed to be a reliable instrument to evaluate work-related fatigue symptoms in industrial workers. Furthermore, it showed significant and good correlations with accepted instruments in the field like the Borg Scale, the Chalder Questionnaire and SF-36 Vitality subscale, providing support for the validity of the scale.
