Item type:Item, Análise das práticas da gestão da qualidade em fabricantes de equipamentos para a indústria de alimentos do estado de São Paulo(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-08-19) ;Mastrantonio, Sabrina Di Salvo ;Toledo, José Carlos de ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/9421627326330417https://lattes.cnpq.br/4686244571901829The capital good supplier for the food industry have encountered a new reality in the market, with the increase of requirements in the product quality improvement by, as well the adjustment of the equipments to the regulatory requirement of food security. Towards this, the companies seek to implant some practices, aiming the product quality assurance and the process improvement, which can be gotten by the Quality Management System (QMS) structure, in the company scope and in the whole production chain. The strong dependence of technology innovation of the food industry, not only to the raw material industry, but also to the capital good supplier, emphasize the importance that this segment exerts over the food production chain, spreading new technologies and new quality patterns. This Master s paper analyze the Quality Management practices in a sampling of machinery and equipment manufacturers for the food industry, located in the state of São Paulo, as well the difficulties found in this Management and propose improvement suggestions. A survey was conducted, by visit and in loco interviews in 35 companies, of different sizes, acting segment and geography localization in the state of São Paulo. The data were analyzed with the purpose of characterize the companies, test possible correlations among the study variables and group the companies with similar characteristics in clusters. The correlation analysis showed dependence among some variables, as the level of formalization of the procedures and the existence of a Quality Management System. The cluster analyses generates 3 groups of companies, which can be distinguished, mainly, by the degree of the procedure formalization, existence of a Quality Management System and the company size. It was observed that the companies of this sector are diversified in their line of business and that they supply equipments not only to the food industry, but also to all those industries which need equipments made of stainless steel. It could be seen that, although the product quality is an overall demand in this segment, the existence of a QMS is not, which somewhat, contradict the initial expectative of this paper and publications in this area. However, the companies that supply equipments to other sectors, normally more demanding, as the petrochemical, or which visualize the benefits in the quality and productivity improvements reached with the QSM adoption, have already anticipated possible future demands of their clients, implanting and searching for the system certification.Item type:Item, Um processo automatizado para tratamento de dados e conceitualização de ontologias com apoio de visualização(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-08-19) ;Hernandes, Elis Cristina Montoro ;Fabbri, Sandra Camargo Pinto Ferraz ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/2204086299921323https://lattes.cnpq.br/0950017449730821Context: Aiming at collecting data that represent the educational reality of Brasil, from eighteen years the INEP applies census and evaluations on educational institutions. However, this large amount of data is non uniform and distributed among different databases, making difficult more significant analysis. Aiming to solve or minimize these problems, the INEP and Capes are supporting research projects, such as Web-PIDE project, in which this research was carried out. The objective of this project is to create a platform for sharing and integrating these data, which can be used by all the community. Aim: This work had two objectives. The first one was to create a Language for Integration of Educational Data, named LIDE that will support the Web-PIDE platform implementation. The second one was to define a process to support the ontology conceptualization phase, since an ontology can be useful for the INEP evaluation domain. Methodology: Based on visualization it was developed a tool and a process for each objective the SEV-Tool and P-LIDE (Process to definition the Language for Integration Educational Data); and the ONTOP-Tool and ONTOP (ONTOlogy Process). Results: It was created the LIDE|SAEB that will be used in the platform Web-PIDE and it was generated a list of terms that composes a glossary that will support the creation of an ontology for INEP evaluations. Conclusion: The PLIDE process and the SEV-Tool compose a support for the treatment of the INEP evaluation data. The ONTOP process and ONTO-Tool compose a support for ontology conceptualization, in spite of the domain. The use of visualization as the resource for the treatment of these data made easier the execution of the tasks proposed by both processes.Item type:Item, Processos de formação de professoras alfabetizadoras: construção de saberes docentes(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-08-20) ;Pedrino, Mariana Cristina ;Reyes, Cláudia Raimundohttps://lattes.cnpq.br/2217597752295003Item type:Item, A ampliação do ensino fundamental de nove anos na escola pública e na escola privada : a experiência de Araraquara(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-08-20) ;Zingarelli, Joice Eliete Boter ;Bezerra Neto, Luiz ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/4809080593333472https://lattes.cnpq.br/7834261135505312The present research tried to investigate the difference between inserted six years children's education and learning process in the basic education of nine years duration in public and private institutions of education. For thus, both two municipal educational net's schools and two private schools were observed, both in Araraquara. Through the research, we tried to find how the six years children's integration process were occurred in Basic Education and which education was offered for these childrens, in public and private Basic Education. We use as theorical basis of this study the new law of Education's Basis and Directives, 9394/96 and of the Laws the 11,114/05 and 11,274/06 and orientation implementation materials of the program of magnification of Basic, raising the duration of education from eight to nine years, with insertion of the six years children, divulged for the Ministry of the Education, in which the magnification of Basic Education to nine years is contemplated, and the school registration of the six years children in Basic Education passes to be obligatory. Moreover, we analyze the Araraquara's Municipal Plan of Education, the municipal public and private school's Political Pedagogical Proposals, well with private schools' advertisement folders, with the purpose of contextualize the city in which the observed schools are inserted and to inquire as municipal public school's net was carried through the process of Basic Education's magnification and in the private net of education. Later, an analysis of this research selected schools was become fulfilled, having searched to verify the existing relation between the observed procedures in classroom, and pedagogical projects and the official documents of the Ministry of the Education. Was found, through the observations, that the changes had been effusives in the municipal public schools than in the private ones, since the municipal public schools had passed for referring alterations to the physical space, and in the education and learning conceptions, and organization of time, already in the private schools the same that did not happen, since the alterations had been mere bureaucratic, that is, had been made only paper alterations, therefore in the practical the six years children's reality remained the same structure, conception and organization of the Infantile Education. Facts these, that they had reflected in the different gotten results in the process of the six years children's linguistic code acquisition in the municipal public and private schools. In this direction, it is considered the need to argue the effect of the educational politics in all children's education and learning process.Item type:Item, Movimento sindical e fábricas cooperativas : experiências no ABC paulista(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-08-20) ;Lorente, Raquel Duaibs Aguiar ;Lima, Jacob Carlos ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/9244132532446607https://lattes.cnpq.br/2245757389319678This thesis analyzes the incorporation, beginning in the 1990s, of industrial cooperatives by the Sindicato dos Metalúrgicos do ABC (ABC Metalworkers Union) as a strategy for combating unemployment. The union has gone on to support the cooperatives, and is focusing on companies in crisis and bankruptcy. Once these cooperatives are established, labor is no longer salaried, and once they have become members of a cooperative, workers find themselves in an ambiguous category somewhere between workers and owners. By supporting the cooperative workers, the union develops the attitude that it no is no longer limited to representing salaried workers, broadening its sphere of activity. In order to understand the uncertainties and contradictions of the worker cooperatives and union action, two experiences were analyzed: firstly, metalworkers from a company that s going bankruptcy, which has been negotiating for the payment of their salaries and labor rights in court; in this case the proposed metalworkers cooperative was never realized. Secondly, a cooperative already established that has been functioning for more than five years. The undertaking began with the help of the union after the business went into bankruptcy. With the legal and administrative help of the union, the workers were able to organize in order to revive the business through a regime of self-management. In both cases the option of the workers and the unions forming of a cooperative is discussed, outlining the particularities and paradoxes presented by this option.Item type:Item, Quantificação do pesticida fipronil em uma lagoa marginal do Rio Moji-Guaçu e a cinética de sua degradação por microrganismos aquáticos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-08-20) ;Peret, André Moldenhauer ;Mozeto, Antonio Aparecidohttps://lattes.cnpq.br/6594211224864538Óleo lagoon is a water body located at the border of the Jataí Ecological Station, next to extensive sugar-cane plantations that surround this conservation area. For this reason, there is a potential risk for contamination of this water body by pesticides that are widely used to protect the crops among them fipronil. This work aimed at characterize the Óleo Lake (an oxbow lake located at Moji-Guaçu river floodplain) under the optics of nutrient distribution, to access the concentrations of fipronil in the water body, as well as to develop a mathematical model able to predict the fate of fipronil when in contact to the water of the lake. Besides, it was carried out the isolation of microbial lineages from several compartments of the studied ecosystem. All these aspects were discussed based on a risk assessment diagram in the present work. Results show a great alloctonous organic matter contribution, especially on the rainy season, which shows that the application of pesticides in the surroundings of Jataí Ecological Station can be an object of great concern. The high number of isolated microorganisms lineages capable of using fipronil as carbon source demonstrates that the environment can modify this compound into other molecules. A low but measurable concentration of fipronil was detected in only one sediment sample, which indicates that the contamination of the studied water body had already happened. A microcosm experiment showed that, when in contact to water, about 30% of fipronil moves quickly to the sediment (17 days half-life time). The other fraction is slowly degraded in water (43 days half-life time). In the sediment, biodegradation was an efficient pathway to reduce fipronil concentration (7 days half-life time), without reducing the toxicity. Microorganism populations capable of using fipronil as carbon source has grown in the fipronil contaminated microcosms but their diversity was reduced as a function of time, what is believed to be a result of a selection of microorganisms that are most efficient in using fipronil molecules as a function of exposure time.Item type:Item, Estudo da influência dos aditivos manitol, EDTA e NTA no processo de eletrodeposição de zinco sobre aço 1010 e na morfologia dos eletrodepósitos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-08-21) ;Carvalho, Marcos Fernandes de ;Carlos, Ivani Aparecida ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/1666217445807782https://lattes.cnpq.br/0922916090536806In this paper the effects of adding mannitol, EDTA or NTA to an alkaline deposition bath on the electrodeposition of zinc on to AISI 1010 steel substrate were evaluated. Voltammetric curves of 1010 steel in deposition bath with mannitol or EDTA additives showed similar profiles. However, for NTA it was different. These experiments indicated that the current density (j) of zinc electrodeposition increased due to hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) from H2O reduction occurring in parallel to this process. The voltammograms of 1010 steel substrate in deposition bath with and without mannitol or EDTA showed two regions c0 and c1, due to iron oxide reduction/HER/initial zinc bulk deposition and secondary zinc bulk deposition, respectively. These regions were called b0 and b1, as NTA was present in deposition bath. In the region c1, for deposition bath with and without mannitol or EDTA, the j was similar, suggesting that the area of zinc electrodeposit did not differ significantly, unlike the plating bath with NTA (region b1). From cyclic voltammograms with lowerlimit potential, can be seen that the initial zinc bulk deposition occurred at - 1.45 V in cathodic sweep to deposition bath with and without mannitol or EDTA and this potential was shifted 100 mV in the positive direction (- 1.35 V) in the presence of NTA. When the sweep was reversed at - 1.60 V all the deposition bath showed, in the anodic sweep, a zinc dissolution peak. The current efficiency (e) was always lower than 100%, due to HER occurring in parallel to the zinc electrodeposition. It was verified that in the presence of NTA additive, higher values of e (55.8%) was obtained and also, zinc electrodeposits were thicker (2.65 μm) for charge density (qd) 10.0 C cm-2. For qd = 2.0 C cm-2, irrespective the additives, the values of e and thickness () were comparable. The morphological studies of zinc electrodeposits showed that all the additives work as a brightener, since refining of the zinc grains. The EDX analysis showed that for qd = 2.0 C cm-2 the oxygen incorporation did not occur for 0.20 mol L- 1NTA or 0.20 mol L-1EDTA, but was below detection limit for the 0.20 mol L-1 mannitol. For qd = 10.0 C cm-2, it can be seen that as plating bath containing 0.20 mol L-1 EDTA the oxygen incorporation was hindered in the zinc electrodeposits.Item type:Item, Subsídios ao extrativismo de briófitas no município de Cananéia, SP(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-08-21) ;Rancura, Sheila Aparecida de Oliveira ;Nordi, Nivaldo ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/8168865557947289https://lattes.cnpq.br/7489765544523782The management of non-timber forest products is an important alternative to forests maintenance. Nevertheless, the demand for some species at commercial scale may result in negative impacts to the local biodiversity. The bryophytes, particularly species of Sphagnum and Syrrhopodon genera, are among the vegetal resources exploited in restinga areas of Cananéia, in the south coast of São Paulo State, Brazil. After the organization of the harvesters in an association, the extraction is now legally carried out in licensed areas. The harvesting of bryophytes by the local population aims to supply the ornamental plants market, but there is a lack of studies to estimate the impact of the exploration providing information to the proper management of these resources. In order to provide subsidies for extraction and management of bryophytes Sphagnum and Syrrhopodon, this study raised information about the abundance and distribution of the explored bryophytes as well as the havesting practiced in Cananéia. To cover the different aspects involved in the harvesting of bryophytes, this study used Plant Ecology, Human Ecology and Ethnoecology approaches. Information concerning to the harvesters population and the harvesting activity were obtained through informal conversations, interviews and guided tours. Geoprocessing tools were used to characterize the bryophytes exploitation areas. The percentage ground cover by bryophytes was estimated applying the line-transect method and to evaluate the regeneration of Sphagnum plots were established and effected two harvests simulating traditional harvesting. The results indicated that explored bryophytes occur predominantly in Brejo de Restinga and Floresta Baixa de Restinga areas. Under similar conditions to those found in the experiment which simulated the traditional harvesting, the report demonstrated that six and seven months after harvest, Sphagnum presented height and yield like to the initial condition. In this sense, the harvesting, when done under the traditional way, tends to minimize the negative impacts of harvesting on the regeneration of bryophytes. Therefore, the relations determined in the commercialization process define the pressure upon exploited species and induces the harvesters to modify the traditional harvesting, resulting in an overexploitation of some places and a collect of very small bryophytes. Such actions contribute to a lower yield of the collect and may compromise the natural regeneration of some regions. The definition of management rules coupled to the bryophytes market rules built collectively constitute an essential point to established a less predatory harvesting.Item type:Item, Os trabalhadores da indústria de software: flexíveis e precários?(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-08-21) ;Oliveira, Daniela Ribeiro de ;Lima, Jacob Carlos ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/9244132532446607https://lattes.cnpq.br/3340719766336945Considering the current labor crisis and the many forms that work have assumed precarious, informal, temporary or part-time -, our intention here is studying a set of workers whose rose as result of the development of information technology within the context of flexible capitalism: workers of software industry. The knowledge of information language is what defines the qualification and possibilities of these kind of workers within labor market, but in Brazilian case these kind of workers usually are submitted to atypical work contracts like work by project, part-time job, temporary job, outsourcing job and even kind of jobs protected by labor Brazilian laws. We semi-structured-interviews with eighteen workers whose continued employments were distributed of this way: six workers under Brazilian laws standard, five trainees, one free-lance, one Legal Entity Person , three entrepreneur partners and two public employees one public server and other a scholar. The research was done in São Carlos and Araraquara, cities located in the central region of São Paulo State. We to understand the workers point of view about the different types of labor contracts, to outline a profile of qualification these workers and their work trajectory and figure out the labor processes that they are submitted. In addition to interviews, we analyzed the content of specialized websites about Information Technology (IT) and software development, as well as available magazines and newspapers online and printed.Item type:Item, Compósitos de Polipirrol e Li1,05Mn2O4 : preparação por dip coating ou casting e caracterização eletroquímica(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-08-21) ;Brocenschi, Ricardo Francisco ;Biaggio, Sonia Regina ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/0418215244233120https://lattes.cnpq.br/4530780432056175Films of polypyrrole/Li1.05Mn2O4 composites were prepared by chemical synthesis over a carbon-fiber substrate, using the dipcoating and casting techniques, aiming at improving the performance of these materials as cathodes in secondary lithium or lithium-ion batteries. For this the following were investigated: i) electrochemical behavior of both materials (polymer and oxide) over the carbon-fiber surface; ii) electrochemical characteristics and stability of the composites obtained by the different methods; iii) best electrolyte to work at high potentials (> 4 V vs. Li/Li+); iv) electronic conduction of the composites; v) morphology of both components of the composites; vi) behavior of the composites as cathodes of lithium-ion batteries. From the obtained results it could be concluded that neither preparation technique led to films with a good electrical contact between the spinel crystals and the carbon fibers, which is necessary for them to show a high performance for charge storage. For the materials prepared by dip coating, the use of factorial design effectively helped in obtaining a higher specific-capacity value for polypyrrole (118 mA h g-1), but that was not the case for the polypyrrole/Li1.05Mn2O4 composite (only 20 mA h g-1). On the other hand, for the films prepared by casting, the electronic conduction of the spinel was increased due to the polypyrrole and carbon black mixture, while the most appropriate electrolyte for the electrochemical characterizations was 1 mol L-1 LiClO4 in EC:DMC 1:1 (V/V). However, only the predominantly capacitive behavior of the carbon fiber was observed in the charge/discharge tests. Finally, the charge/discharge tests of the polypyrrol/Li1.05Mn2O4 composite compacted over platinum yielded values of ~70 mA h g-1 for the first cycle and a better stability than that presented by the pure spinel.Item type:Item, Efeito de estímulos vibratórios aplicados na região plantar sobre o equilíbrio corporal de idosas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-08-21) ;Wanderley, Fábio da Silva ;Rebelatto, José Rubens ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/1684247449456330https://lattes.cnpq.br/3866913143880127Objective: To determine the effect of vibration stimuli with 100 Hz frequency, applied to the plantar region, the body balance in women aged less than 60 years. Method: We selected 30 women aged less than 60 years with lack of static balance measured by the test support Unipodal with eyes open. The participants were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group. All subjects were evaluated by four additional tests: the test Unipodal support with eyes closed, the Time Up and Go test, the Functional Reach test adapted, and Static Posturography evaluated using the force platform. A study was conducted blind, and the evaluators did not know to which group subjects were. The subjects in the experimental group received vibration therapy applied directly in the plant with 100 Hz frequency and oscillation of 2 mm. We performed 24 sessions of vibration stimuli, applied by the same physiotherapist. We analyzed the changes of the average number of individuals by two-way ANOVA with Tukey test as post-hoc to the data showing normal, and for not presenting normality test was used to Friedman. The comparison of the averages of the groups, experimental and control, was done using the one-way ANOVA for data presented normal and Kruskal-Wallis test for those who did not show normality. Results: We found significant differences between experimental and control groups in the third assessment of the Functional Reach test adapted in the speed of oscillation of the center of anterior-posterior pressure with the eyes open and closed and the area of Oscillation of the center of pressure with eyes closed. In examining the three evaluations of the intervention group was found to improve body balance in the Functional Reach test adapted in the speed of oscillation of the center of anterior-posterior pressure with the eyes open and closed and the area of Oscillation of the center of pressure with eyes closed. In the control group there was no statistically significant difference in any of the tests. Conclusion: The vibration stimuli applied to the plantar region, with 100 Hz frequency, showed beneficial effects on body balance in women over 60 years, being more effective in postural control of anteriorposterior axis and during the deprivation of vision.Item type:Item, Obtenção e condutividade elétrica de vitrocerâmica Li1+xAlxTi2-x(PO4)3 com diferentes microestruturas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-08-21) ;Semanate, José Luis Narváez ;Rodrigues, Ana Candida Martins ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/4499231813051400https://lattes.cnpq.br/9824558997496023Technological advances in portable devices imply not only the development of devices but also the need to enhance their power sources. For instance, cellular phones with high technology incorporating Bluetooth, Infrared, Digital Camera, Games, GPS, Internet Browsing, etc., need high performance rechargeable batteries. Lithium ion-conducting glass-ceramics with NASICONtype structure, based on the Li1+xMxM'2-x(PO4)3 system, where M = Al, Cr, Fe, Ga and M' = Ge, Ti, Hf, are considered good candidates as solid electrolytes in lithium ion batteries due to their chemical stability, easy fabrication and high ionic conductivity. In this work, the Li1+xAlxTi2-x(PO4)3 glass composition was synthesized by the traditional method known as Splat Cooling. Glass-ceramics with the same composition as the precursor glass but with different microstructures were obtained by controlled crystallization, using single and double heat treatments. The parent glass was characterized by chemical and thermal analysis and the latter enabled tailoring of the crystallization heat treatments. X-ray diffraction (XRD) results indicated that the resulting glassceramics exhibit the desired NASICON-type structure as primary phase, as well as the segregation of insulating phases, i.e., AlPO4 and/or TiO2, which do not affect the electrical properties. An examination of the microstructure by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and measurements of electrical conductivity by impedance spectroscopy (IS), combined with the XRD analysis, indicated that the electrical conductivity of single heat-treated samples increases with the heat treatment temperature and hence with the increase in crystallinity. Samples synthesized by double heat treatment showed increasing electrical conductivity with decreasing nucleation treatment time and consequently with increasing average grain size.Item type:Item, Quando preferir um samba ao hino nacional é crime: integralismo, etnicidade e os crimes contra o estado e a ordem social (Espírito Santo 1934-1945)(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-08-24) ;Ackermann, Silvia Regina ;Monsma, Karl Martinhttps://lattes.cnpq.br/7465838222310384This work focuses on the State of Espírito Santo in the 30 and 40 decades in the 20th century and aims to analyze the conflicts that took place in the meeting of two relevant events of this period: the repression to the Integralism and the consequences of the Second World War. It is important to stand out that the State of Espírito Santo, as well as other Brazilian States, had its history marked by European immigration in the 19th century. At that time the state received, mainly, Pomeranian/German and Italian immigrants. Part of these immigrants and descendants, in the decade of 30, acted in Brazilian Integralist Action (AIB), a right extreme party and influenced by European Nazi-fascism. Some conflicts that imbricated ethical issues and the acting of AIB, officially forbidden since the coup of the New State, became more visible and resulted in criminal proceedings. It was ascertained that AIB had strong presence in Espírito Santo, especially, in the regions of Pomeranian/German and Italian settlement. Also, it was verified that ethical conflicts did not seem to be so prominent as it was expected to. It seemed that the major conflicts were marked by a nationalistic feeling and confrontations that still had AIB as an explanation. It can also be suggested that differentiated cultural practices of the immigrants and descendants were not understood as so dangerous by the government since they were followed of economic and politic status, for instance, case of the South of Brazil. Originated criminal proceedings in the State of Espírito Santo, which were presented at the court of National Security (TSN), were used as privileged sources. Some paper was analyzed such as: documents and photographs apprehended by the Espírito Santo police from AIB nucleus, official letters from the Education and Justice department, newspaper and magazines, besides interviews with inhabitants of Domingos Martins city (ES). The historical event reported starts with AIB National Congress in Vitória (1934) and it closes up with the Second World War end (1945). Key words: Brazilian Integralist Action. Second World War. The understanding of these reactions is searched having as background the break with the liberal democratic regime occurred in 1999, with the up rise of this president, inaugurating what it calls democracia participativa y protagónica . To achieve its objectives this work try to understand initially the political regime in the country since the construction of liberal democracy around the Pact of Punto Fijo, through its crisis during the 1980s, until the election of Chavez in 1998. Finally, we present some interpretations on the political and institutional changes occurred with the new government and what they may represent in the sectors linked to the former regime that arise in opposition. The findings indicate that the reactions of these sectors to the government initiated in 1999, resulted from its displacement from the power, and not as they stated in their dissatisfaction with the "authoritarianism" of the new regime. What they pursued was the control of the state, allowed by the minimalist nature of democracy pre-Chávez.Item type:Item, Influência do peso adicional nos chutes espontâneos de lactentes pré-termo tardios no 3º e 4º mês de idade(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-08-24) ;Dionisio, Jadiane ;Tudella, Eloisa ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/3207258034860219https://lattes.cnpq.br/1067940853843923Item type:Item, Uma abordagem para recuperação de informações sensível ao contexto usando retroalimentação implícita de relevância(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-08-24) ;Martins, Diogo Santana ;Santos, Marilde Terezinha Prado ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/9826026025118073https://lattes.cnpq.br/9363905929371318This dissertation reports an approach to enhance information retrieval systems which are accessed through mobile devices. This sort of devices can impose constraints on user-computer interaction, mainly concerning expression of contextualized queries and navigation of long lists of results. Our approach integrates user work context in implicit relevance feedback, which is developed over a Case Based Reasoning methodology, with the purpose of providing personalized information retrieval. To tackle these issues, it was developed an architecture to manage transformation and processing of context information, as well as selection of evidences to expand queries through implicit relevance feedback. The project was evaluated on two case studies and the obtained results show that our approach enhances the quality of information retrieval, even under varitions on the size of the document collection, on the diversity of users and on context situations.Item type:Item, Programa de capacitação de docentes para promover independência de crianças com baixa visão nas atividades de vida diária: PRÓ-AVD(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-08-25) ;Gebrael, Tatiana Luísa ReisMartinez, Claudia Maria SimõesIt is estimated that in Brazil one of 500 children have low vision. In this population, among all difficult possible, have the dependency in daily life activities (ADL), that influence at social integration, learning and school inclusion. Detached for the regular teacher s work inside the class with ADL´s children especially in preschool. The propose of this work was to develop, implement and evaluate one individual program of collaborative assessoring in Occupational Therapist for teacher training, to increase their repertoire of strategies and resources to promote the independence of preschool children with low vision in activities of daily hygiene and nutrition, called PRÓ-AVD . Study participants were 10 teachers and 10 students with low vision aged between 4 and 6 years of regular education children. The experimental design of the study consisting of 5 teachers and 5 students belonging to the Experimental Group who received the intervention in a first moment, and 5 teachers and 5 students to the control group that received no intervention. The elaborate of the training program involved the study of children's abilities in the tasks of self, and his visual capacity, the original repertoire of the teacher, and the dynamics of dyad Teacher - Student in carrying out AVDs. The implementation happened through collaborative assessoring, on 6 weekly meetings, consecutive, consisting of interactive dynamic between the researcher and teacher.
