The motivation is considered a fundamental construct for the scholar learning. The motivation is related to internal or external causes that lead an individual to accomplish or not an activity. Those internal and external causes are denominated intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, respectively. Intrinsically motivated students engage in the accomplishment of scholar activities and incline to persist in front of difficulties. Opposite behavior is observed in extrinsically motivated students. 389 students were invited to participate to a course about Metals. 74 have done the registration in the course and 20 registered students have done the course. Data were collected by questionnaires to delineate the motivational profile of the students. The questions were focused on the identification of the motivational orientation of the students. During the analysis of the questionnaires were observed that the students who have not done the registration present less positive motivational profile to the scholar activities than those who have done the registration and those who have participated of the course. Therefore, independently of type of the motivation, intrinsic or extrinsic, the students that demonstrated interest to the course are more motivated to the scholar activities. However, during the course, were observed differences between students. Some engaged yourselves actively and others, mainly in the moments that the activities demand more attention, engaged yourselves superficially. This difference can be related to the type of motivation. Students with intrinsic motivation more positive than extrinsic engage yourselves more in the proposed activities than students with predominant extrinsic motivation. This research allowed verifying that the motivation is related to contextual factors and the characteristics students and this fact must be considered to better comprehend the behavior of classroom students. Some leaning strategies support the occurrence of motivational orientations that will generate different levels of interest to the realization of the activities. In one of the researches focus, it has been investigated the use of simulation in cooperation with Artificial Intelligence to obtain a computer system as the solution of a reactive system in the entrance of production system. The main goal is to have a framework model to an intelligent system to help the products sequencing in the entrance of production systems. To do so, several aspects were investigated: effect of the charge growth (1, 2, 5 and 10 C) on the electrochemical and morphological properties of Ppy electrodeposited on carbon fiber; definition of a growth charge/mass ratio for the Ppy film, leading to a high electrochemical performance electrodes with a stable specific capacity; proposition of an optimized methodology to prepare, by electrochemical means, bilayered composites of Ppy and poly(DMcT) on carbon fiber substrate. All materials had their morphological and electrochemical properties analyzed by means of scanning electron microscopy, cyclic voltammetry and impedance spectroscopy. Thinner Ppy films presented the higher coulombic efficiency and specific capacity values. Electrochemical impedance results indicated that Ppy catalyses the redox reactions of poly(DMcT), allowing its use in secondary batteries. Galvanostatic charge and discharge tests from either thin Ppy film and poly(DMcT)/Ppy (1 C) bilayered film electrodes resulted in excellent performances when used as lithium ion battery cathodes (130 and 300 mA h g-1, respectively) or electrochemical capacitor electrodes (240 and 500 F g-1, respectively).listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Verificação das relações espaciais entre a distribuição de dados sócio-econômicos e a localização de escolas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-11-27) Tagliatti, Clarissa; Röhm, Sergio Antonio; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7332654261230826; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8583610035136786The process of urban progress, cause the disordered regions growth with some or without structure. In case of school's location, this process can generate excess of school places in some regions while in others there is a de_cit, thus subjecting the students, in some cases, the displacement of several hours. Trying to solve these problems, governments have been investing in programs such as _nancing school transportation, for the conduct of students from more remote regions. This study examined the spatial distribution of public schools comparing with the level of income, education and age of the population, using GIS techniques associated with Knowledge Extraction from Databases (Data Mining). This practice allows for the discovery of hidden information in large databases that may be considered interesting, as you con_rm, extend, or challenges the existing knowledge on the subject. Additionally, it allows a more elaborated on the educational services provided, given the existing demands, contributing to a critical analysis of the situation of these towns, in educational point of view, searching the assignment of a better quality of life for people. The city of Araraquara-SP, is a medium size city, and considering the availability of data and the importance for future applications of the results extracted, was chosen as the object of study. This study used techniques of Spatial Data Mining, allowing the discovery of important information, such as the fact that poor people reside far away from public schools. Besides, the analysis of the data presented de_cit and bad distribution of high schools in the city of Araraquara. This work attempts to evince which concepts were adopted in these projects, taking into account the national context, at the beginning of this century, of expansion, creation and restructuring of new campuses for public Universities and the relevance that this urban equipment has because of its social function and dimension. As theoretical foundation, we present a survey of historical moments that are of major concern for the apprehension of the research object. To this end, we approach initially the birth of the first University in Europe and the emergence of the campus in the U.S.A. Then, dealing with the history of Brazilian Universities, we highlight the development process of the campus, taking into consideration that the beginning of its implementation is an essential and paradigmatic phase. In order to discuss the proposals for the four new plans, certain categories of analysis were established, which focus on: an analysis of site where the campus is placed, the identification of urbanistic concepts, the parameters and guidelines for urban design, the verification of the road system, a spatial analysis of buildings and the open area and, finally, environmental sustainability a current theme present in disputes on planning. By means of systematization of the collected data, we sought to identify the urbanistic performance and the similarities and differences between the plans. Various issues were found in the specificities of each plan, such as the production of spaces that meet the new pedagogical proposals, the appreciation of the collective use of spaces for both convivence and learning, the promotion of environmental sustainability and the accessibility and mobility on the campuses, which demonstrates that there is an intent to match the demands generated by contemporary society.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Modelagem de partição bayesiana para dados de sobrevivência de longa duração(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-11-27) Gonzales, Jhon Franky Bernedo; Tomazella, Vera Lucia Damasceno; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8870556978317000; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4565435898987261In this work we present a bayesian approach for the survival model with cure rate in the presence of covariates. In this perspective, the modelling is a direct extension of the long-term model of (Chen et al., 1999). This model is considered flexible in the sense that the effects of the covariates are measured locally using the bayesian partition model developed by Holmes et al. (1999). The bayesian partition model is a generic approach to problems of classification and regression where the space of covariates is divided in disjoint regions defined by a structure of tessellation. The extension to modelling local maintains the structure of the proportional hazards model that it is intrinsic of the long-term model(promotion time) (Rodrigues et al., 2009a). Application of this theory appears in several areas, for example in finance, biology, engineering, economics and medicine. The fungi Penicillium griseoroseum has presented an elevated desmethylation selectivity of the caffeine substrate besides the desmethylation of the 2 ,4 ,6 - trimethoxyacetophenone. More complex chemical modifications as the formation of the C-C bond (in the flavanoid 5,7,3 ,4 ,5 -pentamethoxyflavanone) and chloration were also observed with this microorganisms. Yet when explored with flavonoids such as the naringenin and hesperetin, their respective chalcone and, with the glicosylated flavonoid the fungi has also shown itself active. Besides that, the oxidative capability of the Penicillium brasilianum e Aspergillus flavus fungi has been explored with the 1 indanone substrate. Both fungi have performed the Baeyer-Villiger oxidation reaction and the hidroxylation as well. Therefore, when testing glicosylated flavonoids with the fungi Aspergillus flavus their complete degradation was obtained, but with the respective methoxylated substrates no transformation has been obtained. The Aspergillus aculeatus fungi was explored concerning its capability of dimerizing substances. This way, the used substrates were the phenolics 2-naphthol, 1-naphthol e 1- naphthilamine compounds. As a biotransformation product a new reaction was obtained, a Fries rearrangement that has originated the adition of the ketil group to all tested substrates.
