Item type:Item, Padrão e ritmo de aquisição das habilidades motoras de lactentes nascidos pré-termo saudáveis(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-12-14) ;Raniero, Elaine Pereira ;Tudella, Eloisa ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/3207258034860219https://lattes.cnpq.br/7583295106199186This research aimed to point out and identify the pattern and the rhythm of motor development of a group of healthy Brazilian preterm infants during de first year of corrected age, as well as, to compare these aspects through a healthy Brazilian infant group borned fullterm and with normative data of the instruments used through the Test Infant Motor Performance TIMP and the Alberta Infant Motor Scale AIMS. In this way, two studies were elaborated: in the first study, twelve preterm infants participated, (MD=33,6 GA , ± 1,25) and ten fullterm infants (MD=39,1 GA , ± 0,73). This infants was assessed with the TIMP once a month (0 - 4), in their home environments. The motor performance increased in both groups, verifying the variability in the total scores in all the ages. The preterm group showed rhythm of motor acquisition higher from 0 to 1 than 3 to 4 months (p= 0,016). Based on the results, it was possible to conclude that the healthy preterm infants, with gestational age bigger than 32 weeks, showed a pattern of acquisition of the motor skills similar to the typical infants when related to the sequence, but with an own rhythm of acquisition, which is possible to consider like a variation at the spectrum of normality. At the second study, thirteen preterm infants participated, (MD=33,5 GA weeks, ± 1,33) and fifteen fullterm infants (MD=39,1 GA weeks, ± 0,65). This infants was assessed with the TIMP at 0 4 months and with the AIMS at 6, 9 and 12 months of age, in their home environments. The preterm group showed a superior intermediate score compared to the fullterm group from 6 (p=0,03) to 12 (p=0,006) months. It was evidenced, at the first four months, that there was a higher acquisition through the interval from 2 to 3 months related to the others intervals (1-2 and 2-3 p=0,05; 2-3 and 3-4 p=0,01). At the second semester, the interval from 6 to 9 months showed a bigger acquisition in both groups (preterm, p= 0, 001 and fullterm, p=0,03). Both of them showed inferior performance contrasted to the amounts established by the TIMP at the first month (preterm, p < 0,008 and fullterm, p < 0,001) and only the fullterm group at the second month (p = 0,005). Related to the second semester, the preterm group presented superior amounts compared to the amount of 50% at the AIMS during all the months, meanwhile, only at the 12 month this difference was significant (p= 0,003). The results showed peculiar characteristics related to the rhythm of motor skills acquisition during the first year of corrected age, and the motor development quality, showed at the third month, can be used like an indication to future deficit motors. It is suggested that the interventions should be initiated as soon as possible, in a way that makes possible to benefit from those observed moments a higher predisposition to the acquisition of motor skills (from 2 to 3 and form 6 to 9 months).Item type:Item, Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio (ENEM) : articulações entre a educação Ciência, Tecnologia e Sociedade (CTS) e as propostas educacionais nacionais para o ensino de química(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-12-14) ;Mascio, Carlos César ;Zuin, Vânia Gomes ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/5265150425993880https://lattes.cnpq.br/7447822274825792The main objective of this study was to investigate the content and structure of Chemistry questions from National High School Exam (ENEM) from 2004 to 2007, seeking to identify if they whether approach or deviate from Science, Technology and Society (STS) curriculum perspective of science education, and the possible relation of competencies and skills required in ENEM s Chemistry questions with the national curriculum proposals. In addition, we sought to examine if ENEM s questions satisfactorily measures skills and competencies needed to promote scientific literacy, according to the STS perspective, at the end of Basic Education. Method was based on documentary analysis of ENEM s questions and technical reports between 2004 and 2007, and through discursive textual analysis of interest material categories have been defined and allowed to infer considering STS focus and official national documents of Chemistry education/teaching similarities and differences proposed and occurred of what would be necessary to learn and how that learned knowledge would be evaluated by the exam at the end of Basic Education. It was observed that theories of ENEM of studied official documents and of STS s assumptions for education have much in common; however, when ENEM puts into practice the exam and the selection of questions to evaluation, there is a discrepancy between what was proposed and what occurred. Overall, it was noted that the skills assessed on most questions are not fully used, that is, what is evaluated is only part of the skill disposed in the question. The problem is not related to, therefore, not to make known or exist a STS relation in the questions, but to the cognitive complexity placed on the theory that in practice is not the case. What we see is a superficial check and, therefore, cognitively speaking, partial of the skill that the question is proposed to evaluate.Item type:Item, Formação de professores em serviço ou controle? Problematização a partir da bibliografia dos Projetos Especiais de Ação (PEA) desenvolvidos entre 1993 e 2007 numa escola de ensino fundamental da rede educacional da cidade de São Paulo(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-12-14) ;Fornazari, Glaucia ;Nosella, Paolo ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/7159165045266256https://lattes.cnpq.br/2299809170915734This bibliographical and documental research object circunscribes itself to the formation of teachers on duty field, more specificly the one developed in study groups at school. The importance of this subject matter is not recent, due its narrow link between the political reforms and the education of the population. From the sixties on, the Brazilian teachers began to live closer to the idea of permanent education, spread by the International Organization, when the Agreement MEC-USAID was established which obliged the adequacy from our educational politics to the American molds. More recently, our formation politics have followed instructions from UNESCO, organ kept by the Worldwide Bank. Being convinced that it is only possible to search for freedom through knowledge, according to Lukács, it searched to problematize the possibilities of the control of the formation of teachers on duty from themselves beginning from Special Action Projects (Projetos Especiais de Ação - PEAs) developed in a school from the educational net from São Paulo between 1993 and 2007. Aiming to achieve this goal, systematized the evolution of UNESCO s proposal about permanent formation of teachers, the historical records of the formation of teachers on duty in Brazil, the policy of the formation of teachers from Secretaria Municipal de Educação de São Paulo, the origins of PEA and the evolution of the official determinations obout these. Next, it came the problematization of the participation of the teachers in the definition of the PEAs bibliography proposed in the period. In the research project were admitted the hypotheses: a) throughout the last 40 years, it has bee incited the mechanisms of control of the formation of teachers at public school through PEA; b) these mechanisms elements would be associated to impositions of the international capital; c) the gradual rising of the popular call for the education business could make the management of the formation of teachers easier or harder by themselves. The result of the study confirmed these hypotheses and showed the need of deepness of countless unexplored matters in the formation of teachers on duty universe.Item type:Item, Uma estrutura conceitual para a aplicação do postponement : estudo multicaso em empresas da indústria de alimentos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-12-14) ;Ferreira, Karine Araújo ;Alcântara, Rosane Lúcia Chicarellihttps://lattes.cnpq.br/7007815940337701The postponement strategy is more and more used by companies with the increasing complexity and variety of products, currently required by the market. In essence, the postponement is used to delay as much as possible the final configuration and/or movement of products and services, until the demand known. In recent years, this subject has attracted attention of scholars and executives in the several countries. Despite the increasing attention to the subject, little is known about is implementation, especially in the Brazilian food industry. Thus, this research attempt to investigate the adoption of the postponement strategy in companies of this sector. The literature review has covered the last 59 years of study on the subject, which resulted in the development of a general conceptual framework for implementing the postponement strategy. In the order to adopt this structure to the food industry, were developed six exploratory case studies in orange juice and fruits processing companies, and tree of them that have a main activity processing of orange juice and other three, the production of tomatoes. In addition to further discussion on the issue and verification of its application in food companies, this works presents two main contributions. The first is to present a general conceptual framework for implementation of postponement, which can and should be suitable for different industry sectors. The second is the adequacy of this conceptual framework for using in food companies, specifically orange juice and fruits processing companies, and the presentation of information that provide subsidies for adoption, consolidation and evaluation of postponement in the companies.Item type:Item, Proposição de um método de avaliação de tecnologia de identificação: o caso RFID nas cadeias de carne bovina no Brasil e nos EUA(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-12-15) ;Ribeiro, Priscilla Cristina Cabral ;Batalha, Mario Otávio ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/1015001063418091https://lattes.cnpq.br/3864083614847460Identification technologies such as Radio Frequency Identification RFID and barcode are used in traceability systems. RFID is a promising identification and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for traceability systems. It can be widely used on various products to control information from the beginning of the process until they reach the ultimate consumer. The objective of this study is to propose a method to evaluate identification technologies, especially RFID, in agro industrial chains and apply it to the beef cattle chain traceability systems. The research methodology used was a qualitative case study using interviews. The evaluation method provided a clear and wide view of the use of RFID in the cattle chain including importance and barriers. The results indicated some RFID advantages such as quickness in the traceability process, information accuracy, and more information stored in the tags among others. The RFID has some disadvantages such as: high costs; absence of international standard for labels; complex integration of this system; consumer privacy; and technical aspects such as broad band limitations for data transmission. In addition, the case studies revealed resistance against the use of RFID.Item type:Item, Efeito da porosidade sobre o manchamento de porcelanato polido(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-12-15) ;Alves, Helton José ;Boschi, Anselmo Ortega ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/3259846931278607https://lattes.cnpq.br/5897443860808783Porcelain tile is a type of ceramic tile which has shown the highest worldwide expansion in recent years due to the excellent technical and esthetic qualities of the product, which have augmented the possibilities of its use in a wide variety of applications. Among the various types of porcelain tiles today, polished porcelain tile stands out because consumers greatly appreciate the esthetic effect of its characteristically high gloss. However, polishing exposes part of the material s closed pores and facilitates the impregnation of dirt when the product is in use, which may compromise one of its most important properties, i.e., stain resistance. Staining of polished porcelain tile does not depend only on the occurrence of closed pores on the surface of the product but also on other characteristics such as the size and morphology of the pores. This research work aimed to investigate the characteristics of the pores that most contribute to staining and to ascertain how processing variables act in the formation of the material s porous microstructure. The methodology employed to deal with the theme differs from that of other works reported in the literature, since it is based on the characterization of porosity throughout all the stages of processing (green compact to end product) and on a systematic study of several process variables responsible for pore formation (granulometric distribution and particle size distribution). The main experimental techniques used in the development of this study were scanning electron microscopy, digital optical microscopy, image analysis (software), mercury porosimetry, diffuse reflectance spectrophotometry, X-ray sedimentometry, helium gas pycnometry, and mechanical profilometry. In addition to achieving the initial objectives, the results indicated several viable alternatives for reducing the staining tendency of polished porcelain tile.Item type:Item, Estudo exploratório e descritivo sobre inclusão familiar de crianças com surdocegueira pré-linguística(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-12-15) ;Ikonomidis, Vula Maria ;Costa, Maria da Piedade Resende dahttps://lattes.cnpq.br/8172941845613364Deafblindness is a single impairment that brings implications in the development of the person, and communication is the main issue as well as the fact that it is necessary a specific intervention so that the person with deafblindness can acquire language. It is important that the families receive proper orientation about how to deal with his or her child. Several studies in this area confirm the benefits of intervention programs in the family dynamics. However, there are few studies in Brazil, so an exploratory and comparative research was found to be necessary. The studies about family and deafblindness focus either on the needs and expectations of the families or on intervention programs. This study has had the goal to analyze forms of communication between caregivers and children and compare with the level of participation of the child in the family, divided into two groups: a) children who were still not in a specialized program and b) children who already attended in a specialized program in deafblindness. Each group was formed by three dyads (mother or primary caregiver and child). The following instruments were used to collect data: the Home Environment Resources Scale (RAF); a protocol of observation; PAVII-PAN (Parents and Visually Impaired Infants); and documents analysis. The interviews were taped or recorded on video and the data analysis categorized into the following: a) documents; b) data obtained from RAF; c) description of the direct observations and films; d)data obtained from PAVII-PAN. A triangulation to interpret the data was performed. The results show that the children in the group that already attend specialized programs have more concrete and symbolic communication skills while the children from the other group make use of basically corporal communication, with a limited use of functions for immediate needs and protest. As final considerations one can infer that even the families who do not use an effective communication try to include the child in the activities that the whole family take part, but still the same children cannot yet enjoy entirely of such interactions and inclusion because they cannot express more than what is immediate, and also for a possible lack of total understanding of what happens around him or her. Programs of public policies are recommended to provide social and emotional support and the systematization of interventives programs using tools that will make possible the collaboration between family and professionals in order to improve the quality of life of the children with deafblindness in Brazil.Item type:Item, A experiência de trabalho de usuários de um CAPS, integrantes de um empreendimento solidário - construindo vidas e possibilidades(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-12-15) ;Milioni, Débora Brechesi ;Filizola, Carmen Lúcia Alves ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/5877279970535914https://lattes.cnpq.br/0317042457820135The objective of this study was to apprehend the experience of members of a solidary group of production of recycled paper, Recriart, in incubation process in partnership with Psychosocial Care Center (CAPS) and the Incubator of Popular Cooperatives Incoop of Universidade Federal de São Carlos. We also contextualized the group formation and operation ruled by the Solidary Economy principles. A number of 31 CAPS users from the municipal district take part in this enterprise which has been producing and commercializing products on recycled paper since 2006. It s a qualitative research that uses the theoretical reference of the Psychiatric Reform and Solidary Economy, and the methodological reference of content analysis, thematic category. The contextualization of the enterprise was accomplished through several sources of data. To apprehend the users experience we performed semi-structured interviews with 16 members of the group. All ethical care was taken. From the analysis of the interviews six thematic categories appeared: 1. Being a positive experience attributing meanings to the work in the enterprise; 2. Differentiating the work in Recriart from the previous ones from the capitalist organization to a new condition and organization of work; 3. Finding facilities and difficulties in the work of Recriart; 4. Enjoying the work in Recriart and identifying preferences; 5. Projecting the future of the enterprise expecting its growth and the members satisfaction; 6. Recognizing and thanking the support of the incubation team. The listening to the experience indicated that taking part of the enterprise makes several positive aspects possible for the members life. First of all, returning to work and, consequently, everything it means to the human being: learning, growth, maturing, mental health promotion, human development, autonomy and social and material exchanges. The solidary economy principles have shown to be pertinent to the social inclusion by the work in mental health, which reflects on the several facilities pointed out by the users, among them, the non existence of the boss and the cooperation. However, they also reported difficulties related to the production and commercialization of the products, relationships in the group, as well as to the working conditions that imply the need for improvements. Regarding to the improvements, the interviewed pointed out the need for an income raise and larger support by the incubation professionals/technicians and by public organs. In such a way, and according to the users, we suggest that this support should be made possible through the enlargement/strengthening of public policies that promote and encourage this kind of initiative on the field of mental health. This way, enterprises of that nature can reach their full development and integration with the net of solidary economy, building a more inclusive and solidary society.Item type:Item, Estudo alelopático de espécies do gênero Solanum do Distrito Federal(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-12-15) ;Oliveira, Sarah Christina Caldas ;Perez, Sonia Cristina Juliano Gualtieri de Andrade ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/9973185407856723https://lattes.cnpq.br/0010973626622666Item type:Item, Idosos com alterações cognitivas : um estudo sobre a funcionalidade familiar em contexto de pobreza(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-12-15) ;Santos, Ariene Angelini dos ;Pavarini, Sofia Cristina Iost ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/1983620301963081https://lattes.cnpq.br/1334146454214813Elderly Brazilians with cognitive impairments normally get cares of their family members. Nowadays, family has been suffering changes on its structure and on its functioning that can compromise this cares, especially in poverty contexts. This worksheet had the main goal of analyze the family functioning of the elderly Brazilians with cognitive impairments that are from the Family health units from the city of São Carlos - SP and that lives in impoverished neighborhoods. Based on the presupposed quantity inquiry methods, were realized individual interviews and at home with elderly and their family members. All ethical guidelines for research were followed. They have been put on the "Critério Brasil" , the Genogram , the Mini Mental State Exam, the Family APGAR, Katz Index and Pfeffer Functional activities questionnaire. Statistics methods were used for the data analysis. The results indicate that elderly that lives in poverty context are mainly, female (77%), from 71 and 75 years old (33%), married (60%), without education (51%), are independent (96%) for basic daily life activities and dependent (58%) for instrumental daily life activities. If we take a look at the poor elderly family functioning, we can see that 62% of the women and 95% of the men rated their family functioning as good , 21% of the women and 5% of the men reported moderate family dysfunction and only women (17%) reported high levels of dysfunction. There was influence of gender and there wasn´t from age at the Family APGAR results. These data may help in implantation of the cares line for elderly with cognitive impairments at the city on the field Family Health Strategie, especially by the fact that the elderly brazilians care is most of the times made by famales family members.Item type:Item, Análise de correlação entre acidentes de trânsito, de trajeto e variáveis socioeconômicas no Brasil(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-12-15) ;Cabral, Claudio Freaza ;Raia Junior, Archimedes Azevedo ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/6413793013018019https://lattes.cnpq.br/5994966726917020The man needs the work to satisfy their needs and the concern with the safety and the workers' health constitutes one of the most important and current problems, provoking interest to the employers, the government's agents and mainly the employees, concern that it happens in all of the industrialized countries. Investments in the prevention and knowledge on these accidents bring advantages for the companies, workers and society. And when detaching the itinerary accident, they are deficiencies of the sources of official information, where the sub-registrations dominate, impeding a reliable analysis. Also damages provoked by the accidents of traffic are one of the main problems of public health in world level, requesting combined efforts for prevention executes and maintainable. This work has as main objective to investigate possible relationships among socioeconomic and population indicators with the occurrence of the itinerary accidents, with data attachés in level of Capitals and Brazilian States (UF), seeking to subsidize united politics of safety of traffic and of work. The used methodology will be through risings, treatment and verification of consistence of the data with analyses in the capitals and Units of Federation (UF), Using tool of statistical analysis for 2005. The results can be useful, could supply subsidies for the target of actions in the extent of the system of transports, in way to minimize the imposed risks the quality of life of the population, described through the accidents of traffic.Item type:Item, Formação continuada de professores que ensinam Matemática nas séries iniciais : uma experiência em grupo(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-12-15) ;Bertucci, Monike Cristina Silva ;Sousa, Maria do Carmo de ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/6637658562543505https://lattes.cnpq.br/1691033215829510Taking the profession difficulties of teachers in general and challenges of teaching practices, there is always a need for continuous training. Considering that need, this research has studied the practices which were developed by those professionals of the group for continuing education of mathematics teachers in starting years of elementary school . In addition, the goal of this research is also understand the professional skills that were learnt from those practices and also the influence of public policies on that process. The actions of this research were guided by the following questions: How does a teacher group from a public school in São Paulo state develop themselves through a process of thinking, study and analysis of their practices of teaching and learning mathematic during starting years of elementary school? What are the influences of public policies, problems and internal difficulties of schools in that process? The research methodology adopted for answering those questions was a study case, developed within a qualitative approach It using the following tools for taking relevant data for the research: participant observation, asking, narrative and semi-structured interview during the working time. Taking a process of multiple readings, organization and understanding the meaning of data it was possible to built two emerging analysis categories: 1. Practices of teacher education and 2. Influences public policy. The theoretical study covering two main areas: the continuing teachers training and professional development. Authors such as Freire (1979, 1986, 1994 and 1996), Nóvoa (1992), Charlot (2000; 2005), Nacarato (2000; 2003; 2005), Fiorentini and Nacarato (2005), Bozzini and Oliveira (2006) and Imbernón (2006, 2009) we tried to understand the continuing education focused on school, from the mobilization their professionals, based on group reflection, in the reorganization of the HTPC and in research perspective with teachers. By the way, Mizukami (1996), Ponte (1998), Passos et al. (2006), Gama (2007) and Hargreaves et al. (2002) helped us with discussions of professional development. The results indicate that when there is the existence of a favorable environment, like the one examined by this research facilitates the process of continuing education, enhances professional development and contribute to teachers training needs. The main characteristics of this favorable environment are the mobilization of school professionals in meeting the challenges and domestic needs, the support of school management in the development of training practices and the presence of the external agent during the meetings of the study group at school, to share knowledge, experiences and to promote collective reflection on teaching practices of mathematics in the early grades of elementary school.Item type:Item, Preparação de argilas organofílicas para o desenvolvimento de nanocompósitos a partir de compostos de PVC plastificado(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-12-15) ;Souza, Michelle Andrade ;Pessan, Luiz Antonio ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/8276650236213537https://lattes.cnpq.br/5191551529684272Nanocomposites of Plasticized PVC with organoclays have a large potential to improve the thermal resistance of PVC as well as its flame retardancy. However, a great problem in the production of PVC nanocomposites is the decomposition of conventional organic ammonium salts incorporated on the clay which can catalyze PVC degradation and lead to deterioration of thermal, mechanical and optics properties. The aim of this work was preparing organophilic clays with others organic modifiers more thermally stable and comparing with commercial clays, hoping it could improve plastificized PVC thermal properties and to evaluate the structural characterization and thermal, mechanics properties. It were three organic modifiers: two phosphonium salts and a silane agent coupling. The nanocomposites of plastificated PVC with the organoclays were obtained via melt intercalation method using a single screw extruder and a rheometer. The samples were molded by compression into specimens to obtain tensile properties and flammability properties. The thermal stability of nanocomposites was analyzed from Metrastatsystem, TGA and the retardancy flame was analyzed from Cone Calorimeter and oxygen indice. Thermo-gravimetric analysis showed that the thermal decomposition temperatures of these organoclays is superior to that of the ammonium counterpart. In spite of the high thermal resistance of the phosphonium organoclays, the nanocomposites prepared with these oganoclays presented an intense dark appearance and began to degradate in small times, suggesting a strong degradation of PVC. On the other hand, nanocomposites prepared with organoclays modified with silane agent coupling showed an improved thermal resistance, however it hasn´t showed exfoliated structures. The Plasticized PVC Nanocomposite / Cloisite 30B and Plasticized PVC Nanocomposite Nanocor Phosphonium 1 were the systems that shown best moduls compared to pure compound. The decomposition of phosphonium salts don´t promoved injuries on the mechanical properties of these materials. The chemistry structure of organic modifier of Cloisite 30B, containing a functional group OH, improved the exfoliation of this organoclay in the polymeric matrix.Item type:Item, Moradia social : ocupação de espaços desconstruídos livres(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-12-16) ;Monteiro, Luzia Cristina Antoniossi ;Francisco, José ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/0330065027402518https://lattes.cnpq.br/2890278808923978The issue of social housing interest is disturbing. It is a serious problem of spatial social juridical nature, promoter of segregation and lack of citizenship. In Brazilian cities a paradox was found: there are millions of people who are homeless while there are many millions of unoccupied dwellings. Thus, while families suffer from lack of shelter, there are deconstructing homes. These properties do not meet the stranded social function of property advocated by the Federal Constitution of 1988. There is a new urban juridical order that is consolidated with the advent of the Statute of the City and provides the occupation of those free deconstructed spaces as a way to minimize the current housing demand. The study's main objective is to analyze the possibility of occupation of free constructed spaces through the implementation of legal instruments existing in the legislation as a means of mitigating the housing problems. The legal instruments and procedures must be applied in cities, observing the peculiarities and municipal laws. Action research was conducted in Sertãozinho-SP as an example of an average town in the state that has consolidated a social movement for over 20 years, promoting occupations for housing purposes.Item type:Item, O rio Paraguai como tema gerador de ações em educação ambiental escolar no Município de Cáceres - Mato Grosso(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-12-16) ;Lima, Aguinel Messias de ;Oliveira, Haydée Torres de ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/5458113597909705https://lattes.cnpq.br/2593545181583434The present study was developed at two schools of the municipality of Cáceres, area of the Alto Pantanal , in the West of the State of Mato Grosso. The research focuses the River Paraguay as an indicative theme of action in environmental education (EA) through the school to the sustainability of the river. The aim is to comprehend the river as an analysis and reflection element to the elaboration of a proposal of school educational intervention that contributes to the planning process of the educational actions to the sustainability of the river Paraguay. The participants of the research are teachers and students from the State high school Onze de Março (EEOM) and teachers/students from the first cycle of the fundamental teaching (I IV) from the Municipal School Jardim Paraíso (EMJP). The investigation occurred in three stages. In the first stage of data collecting, it was used the technique of questionnaire application, and it was answered by 23 teachers and 86 students from EEOM and by 0 9 teachers and 24 students from EMJP. As for the second stage other questionnaire was applied to 19 teachers and 41 students from EEOM and to 05 teachers and 12 students from EMJP in three strategies: A (before the trip to the river), B (exhibition of landscapes, like pictures) and C (trip to the river). In the third collecting, through actions made at the schools of the research, the results point out that the teachers from EEOM have diverse academic formation and the ones from EMJP are graduated in Pedagogy and History. The practice of EA focuses the ecological content of the atmosphere. In the EEOM it is approached in the disciplines of Geography, Chemistry and Biology and by projects in both schools. In general, the potentialities of the river most noticed by the participants are: the water, the biodiversity, besides, the fish; whereas, the main environmental problem noticed is pollution (solid residues and sanitary exhaustion). However, there was a difference of environmental perception of the river in the three strategies of data collecting. In the strategy B of data collecting, the landscape no. 13 of the Fishing Festival (FIP) was the most valued. The strategy B " (landscapes) and C allowed larger perceptive field (space) of the elements of the landscape/river when compared to A . However, in the strategy C , it was noticed the socio-environmental problem of the occupation of the riverbanks. In general, the aesthetic and affective values of the river were the most valued and they relate to the nonmaterial satisfaction of the participants. The third stage, developed at the school, it contributed to the (re)construction of nature and environment concepts, and EA for comprehension of the educational practices of the environmental dimension. The tendency of EA is conservationist/resourcist of environment as a place to live and a system of naturalistic nature. The results of the research pointed out to the need of continuous formation in EA. There is need of a critical/transformational practice of school EA, using the river as an educational potential to the local environmental sustainability.Item type:Item, Educação em direitos humanos para o combate ao sexismo : contribuições do letramento na disciplina de Língua Portuguesa(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-12-16) ;Oliveira, Cristiane Fontes de ;Lima, Emília Freitas dehttps://lattes.cnpq.br/8379968467967973The achievements of women's social movements have granted such group historically denied rights, it is however noted nowadays that socially constructed values reproduce sexist concepts with regards to human relationships and it is likewise remarkable the important role school education has to encourage attitudes against sexism. On such matter and in the Portuguese language teaching environment of a state school, the purpose of this research is analysing students' concepts on the condition of women in contemporary, with the scope to trigger reasonings on the way such school discipline can contribute to debates on sexism through a methodological approach which can enable the development of writing and reading skills as well as the development of the student's critical reflections about human relationships. From this point and through Cultural Circles on the basis of Paulo Freire's theoretical perspective, students from a state school analysed literary and informational texts about the condition of women, aiming to understand the importance of the referred activity for the setting up of feminist ideas. The survey is characterised as exploratory and brought up hypotheses with regards to the Methodology of the Portuguese Language Teaching and Human Rights Education, specifically against sexism.Item type:Item, Metodologia de delimitação de área de influência e elaboração de modelo de geração de viagens para supermercados de cidades de médio porte(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-12-16) ;Freitas, Gabriel Vendruscolo de ;Raia Junior, Archimedes Azevedo ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/6413793013018019https://lattes.cnpq.br/4335394176331336The study of Trip Generating Centers and impacts caused by the implementation of these developments for the population of a city, both the highway system, as in the use and occupation of land is important to ensure the sustainable development of urban society. Supermarkets are developments that concentrate a wide variety of products and services attracting a large demand for trips, thus causing impacts on the urban road system. These projects have been studied as Trip Generating Centers in countries like the United States, Argentina and Brazil, however, this work presents a new approach, choosing the Brazilian cities of medium size. With the summary of existing literature on the subject, is proposed: a new methodology for defining the influence area, which considers the potential for attracting new development and its competitors in a geographic information system, and generating models trips to modals other than motor vehicles and no motor vehicles, using simple and multiple linear regression.Item type:Item, Roda com arte : aprendizagem dialógica em comunidades de aprendizagem(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-12-16) ;Marigo, Adriana Fernandes Coimbra ;Logarezzi, Amadeu José Montagnini ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/6153358744019882https://lattes.cnpq.br/4014738511373573It is presented in this research the preparation and consolidation of a project involving artistic works with children who study in a school in the outskirt of São Carlos town, where the proposal of Learning Communities is consolidated. From this suggestion, the scholar educational practices are based on the contributions of Jünger Habermas Communicative Action Theory, Paulo Freire s Dialogic Action Theory and the concept of dialogic learning developed by CREA/ES, besides others from authors who have been worried with social transformations and with the overcoming of educational disparity, having as an aim the insertion in the information society. The investigation had its establishment in the reflection that the interpersonal conflicts are pointed out by the academic literature as one of the main difficulties related to educational and didactic actions. However, some of the studies deriving from the philosophy, psychology and sociology in their interfaces with education has also aimed that school and social learning are not susceptible of concretization out of human interactions. Placed in the didactic and educational field, the examination started from a larger focus about the interactions in the school context, specifying gradually the scholar process and the conception given to the activity about the artistic works called Roda com Arte Project. Having as an objective basis, the dialog was adopted with people from the school to achieve the general purpose in order to understand the educational procedures that are manifested in reflective activities about the artistic works in the dialogic learning perspective. The investigation had the participation of six people, being three children, two teachers and one pedagogical coordinator, who acted in the community studied. In agreement with the principles of the learning communities supervisors, it was used the proceedings of critical communicative methodology to collect and analyze the data, having as the fundamental support the intersubjectivity and reflective categories. In the end of this survey, the main results found were: the learning capability of children from lower social classes starting with interdisciplinary work with the school contents and the knowledge involvement, as well as the experiences proceeding from the school context, as out of it. The potentiality of artistic work and the use of imagination to the teaching in addition to the reinforcement of the scholar and social learning intending to express thoughts and feelings, moreover the need of permanent teaching formation in theories and practices, which allow the knowledge actualization and a supportive teaching concerned with the social transformations. In general, the contributions were evidenced to the Learning Communities proposal, to the investigations in schools and with children, furthermore to the educational and didactic field.Item type:Item, Resistência ao desgaste abrasivo da liga Fe66B30Nb4 processada por conformação por spray(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-12-17) ;Catto, Fausto Lopes ;Bolfarini, Claudemiro ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/9231627080617037https://lattes.cnpq.br/9285398075260491Aiming at the improvement of the wear resistance of a glass former composition, the Fe66B30Nb4, the alloy was modified with the addition of Ti, resulting in the theoretical compositions: Fe63B29Nb4Ti4 (SF1) and Fe65B30Nb4Ti1 (SF2). These compositions were spray formed from the melts into two small deposits each one with different set of processing parameters. The crystalline microstructures obtained were characterized by optical microscopy, SEM/EDS, XRD, DSC and chemical analysis of Nb, Ti (by optical spectroscopy) and N (by thermal conductivity). Also, a melt spun ribbon was produced with the Fe65B30Nb4Ti1 alloy. This procedure provided some information about metastable phases which could form in the deposits: borides, sub-borides and amorphous phase. Finally, several hardness and DSRW wear tests were conducted. Materials weight losses were discussed in comparison to high chromium white cast iron. The spray formed deposit of Fe65B30Nb4Ti1, produced with the SF2 parameters set up, presented 51% less mass loss when comparing with high chromium white cast iron. The rapidly cooled Fe63B29Nb4Ti4 alloy presented a worse wear resistance result than the slowly cooled Fe65B30Nb4Ti1 alloy. Some factors which could have influenced these results were discussed.Item type:Item, O novo poder normativo do TST : dissídios individuais e atores coletivos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-12-17) ;Artur, Karen ;Noronha, Eduardo Garuti ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/6908348693613769https://lattes.cnpq.br/6014314141747645This research aims to analyze the institutional changes in labor law and in the Labor Justice courts after the Constitution of 1988. It focuses on the uniform decisions of the Superior Labor Court (TST), as well as the political dynamic between this court and the other powers and actors invested in the institution. We carried out a study of the jurisprudence of the court in individual conflicts, and conducted interviews with relevant actors to achieve this goal. Those interviewed include ministers of the TST, judges of the Labor Judges National Association, lawyers of the judicial advisory boards of the main national trade union centers, and law firms representing businesses and financial corporations. We concluded that the Labor Judiciary Power has been the leader in reforms of the institution itself, in addition to labor law in Brazil, and that it has conferred asymmetric powers to social actors in this process. Moreover, we indicate the limits of this leadership in our legislative model of labor relations.
