The issue of social housing interest is disturbing. It is a serious problem of spatial social juridical nature, promoter of segregation and lack of citizenship. In Brazilian cities a paradox was found: there are millions of people who are homeless while there are many millions of unoccupied dwellings. Thus, while families suffer from lack of shelter, there are deconstructing homes. These properties do not meet the stranded social function of property advocated by the Federal Constitution of 1988. There is a new urban juridical order that is consolidated with the advent of the Statute of the City and provides the occupation of those free deconstructed spaces as a way to minimize the current housing demand. The study's main objective is to analyze the possibility of occupation of free constructed spaces through the implementation of legal instruments existing in the legislation as a means of mitigating the housing problems. The legal instruments and procedures must be applied in cities, observing the peculiarities and municipal laws. Action research was conducted in Sertãozinho-SP as an example of an average town in the state that has consolidated a social movement for over 20 years, promoting occupations for housing purposes.

The study of Trip Generating Centers and impacts caused by the implementation of these developments for the population of a city, both the highway system, as in the use and occupation of land is important to ensure the sustainable development of urban society. Supermarkets are developments that concentrate a wide variety of products and services attracting a large demand for trips, thus causing impacts on the urban road system. These projects have been studied as Trip Generating Centers in countries like the United States, Argentina and Brazil, however, this work presents a new approach, choosing the Brazilian cities of medium size. With the summary of existing literature on the subject, is proposed: a new methodology for defining the influence area, which considers the potential for attracting new development and its competitors in a geographic information system, and generating models trips to modals other than motor vehicles and no motor vehicles, using simple and multiple linear regression.
Educação em direitos humanos para o combate ao sexismo : contribuições do letramento na disciplina de Língua Portuguesa

The achievements of women's social movements have granted such group historically denied rights, it is however noted nowadays that socially constructed values reproduce sexist concepts with regards to human relationships and it is likewise remarkable the important role school education has to encourage attitudes against sexism. On such matter and in the Portuguese language teaching environment of a state school, the purpose of this research is analysing students' concepts on the condition of women in contemporary, with the scope to trigger reasonings on the way such school discipline can contribute to debates on sexism through a methodological approach which can enable the development of writing and reading skills as well as the development of the student's critical reflections about human relationships. From this point and through Cultural Circles on the basis of Paulo Freire's theoretical perspective, students from a state school analysed literary and informational texts about the condition of women, aiming to understand the importance of the referred activity for the setting up of feminist ideas. The survey is characterised as exploratory and brought up hypotheses with regards to the Methodology of the Portuguese Language Teaching and Human Rights Education, specifically against sexism.
Roda com arte : aprendizagem dialógica em comunidades de aprendizagem

It is presented in this research the preparation and consolidation of a project involving artistic works with children who study in a school in the outskirt of São Carlos town, where the proposal of Learning Communities is consolidated. From this suggestion, the scholar educational practices are based on the contributions of Jünger Habermas Communicative Action Theory, Paulo Freire s Dialogic Action Theory and the concept of dialogic learning developed by CREA/ES, besides others from authors who have been worried with social transformations and with the overcoming of educational disparity, having as an aim the insertion in the information society. The investigation had its establishment in the reflection that the interpersonal conflicts are pointed out by the academic literature as one of the main difficulties related to educational and didactic actions. However, some of the studies deriving from the philosophy, psychology and sociology in their interfaces with education has also aimed that school and social learning are not susceptible of concretization out of human interactions. Placed in the didactic and educational field, the examination started from a larger focus about the interactions in the school context, specifying gradually the scholar process and the conception given to the activity about the artistic works called Roda com Arte Project. Having as an objective basis, the dialog was adopted with people from the school to achieve the general purpose in order to understand the educational procedures that are manifested in reflective activities about the artistic works in the dialogic learning perspective. The investigation had the participation of six people, being three children, two teachers and one pedagogical coordinator, who acted in the community studied. In agreement with the principles of the learning communities supervisors, it was used the proceedings of critical communicative methodology to collect and analyze the data, having as the fundamental support the intersubjectivity and reflective categories. In the end of this survey, the main results found were: the learning capability of children from lower social classes starting with interdisciplinary work with the school contents and the knowledge involvement, as well as the experiences proceeding from the school context, as out of it. The potentiality of artistic work and the use of imagination to the teaching in addition to the reinforcement of the scholar and social learning intending to express thoughts and feelings, moreover the need of permanent teaching formation in theories and practices, which allow the knowledge actualization and a supportive teaching concerned with the social transformations. In general, the contributions were evidenced to the Learning Communities proposal, to the investigations in schools and with children, furthermore to the educational and didactic field.
O rio Paraguai como tema gerador de ações em educação ambiental escolar no Município de Cáceres - Mato Grosso

The present study was developed at two schools of the municipality of Cáceres, area of the Alto Pantanal , in the West of the State of Mato Grosso. The research focuses the River Paraguay as an indicative theme of action in environmental education (EA) through the school to the sustainability of the river. The aim is to comprehend the river as an analysis and reflection element to the elaboration of a proposal of school educational intervention that contributes to the planning process of the educational actions to the sustainability of the river Paraguay. The participants of the research are teachers and students from the State high school Onze de Março (EEOM) and teachers/students from the first cycle of the fundamental teaching (I IV) from the Municipal School Jardim Paraíso (EMJP). The investigation occurred in three stages. In the first stage of data collecting, it was used the technique of questionnaire application, and it was answered by 23 teachers and 86 students from EEOM and by 0 9 teachers and 24 students from EMJP. As for the second stage other questionnaire was applied to 19 teachers and 41 students from EEOM and to 05 teachers and 12 students from EMJP in three strategies: A (before the trip to the river), B (exhibition of landscapes, like pictures) and C (trip to the river). In the third collecting, through actions made at the schools of the research, the results point out that the teachers from EEOM have diverse academic formation and the ones from EMJP are graduated in Pedagogy and History. The practice of EA focuses the ecological content of the atmosphere. In the EEOM it is approached in the disciplines of Geography, Chemistry and Biology and by projects in both schools. In general, the potentialities of the river most noticed by the participants are: the water, the biodiversity, besides, the fish; whereas, the main environmental problem noticed is pollution (solid residues and sanitary exhaustion). However, there was a difference of environmental perception of the river in the three strategies of data collecting. In the strategy B of data collecting, the landscape no. 13 of the Fishing Festival (FIP) was the most valued. The strategy B " (landscapes) and C allowed larger perceptive field (space) of the elements of the landscape/river when compared to A . However, in the strategy C , it was noticed the socio-environmental problem of the occupation of the riverbanks. In general, the aesthetic and affective values of the river were the most valued and they relate to the nonmaterial satisfaction of the participants. The third stage, developed at the school, it contributed to the (re)construction of nature and environment concepts, and EA for comprehension of the educational practices of the environmental dimension. The tendency of EA is conservationist/resourcist of environment as a place to live and a system of naturalistic nature. The results of the research pointed out to the need of continuous formation in EA. There is need of a critical/transformational practice of school EA, using the river as an educational potential to the local environmental sustainability.
