In face of the technological evolution lived by the nowadays society, which allowed the emergence of the on-line distance education (via the internet), it has occurred over the last years in Brazil a constant growth of distance teacher education, with graduation courses that rely on large part of its development being realized through on-line activities. This growth has also relied on contributions from the Ministry of Education through programs as the Brazil Open University (UAB), for example. It is considering this scenario that it was sought to explore these new environments of formation and investigate what contributions a distance formation course brings to students that already work as music teachers. Therefore, it started from the characterization and analysis of experiences and learnings that the students-alreadyteachers pointed out as significatives in the Music Education Licentiate course at a distance of UFSCar, also seeking to relate those experiences and learnings with the categories of the knowledge base for teaching (SHULMAN, 1986, 1987; MIZUKAMI, 2004). It was applied an on-line questionnaire with the students-already-teachers who consented their participation in the research, and it was sought to reach the objectives proposed by means of an inductive analysis of the answers. The research had its methodology defined based on the principles of the qualitative research, and was characterized as being of descriptive-analytical nature. The results revealed that even already possessing large experience in music teaching, the studentsalready- teachers affirmed that the distance graduation course contributed in several aspects, being possible to identify contributions to with their content knowledge, pedagogical content knowledge and general pedagogical knowledge, just as general contributions related to distance education, learning of technological resources, personal organization, incentive for research, among others. It was finalized with the certainty that the distance education presents great possibilities and a lot of potential for teacher education and for education, and that much remains to be researched and understood in this field.

Generally, the documentation in compliance with ISO 9001 requirements is a complex task and source of excessive bureaucracy. As a result, the attention that documentation requires can blur the benefits in implementing the standard. In order to overcome that obstacle, the wiki software can be used as an alternative to documentation computerization. Therefore, the objective was to adapt wiki software to computerize the documentation of a ISO 9001 Quality Management System. The method to achieve this goal was to develop a prototype based on wiki (named WikiQMS) with features involving the storage, creation, revision and control of quality documents. Still in the development phase, the prototype was evaluated by an Expert Panel in order to collect their assessments and ideas to improve the prototype. Finally, the WikiQMS was validated and deployed by a junior enterprise Unifei Jr. The result is a wiki prototype that complies with minimum requirements of Quality Management System documentation. The WikiQMS also has many of the Web 2.0 advantages like collaborative editing, collective authorship, accessibility and ease of use, providing a proper environment to documents continuous improvement.

In mammals, newborns need parental care, mostly maternal care, to succeed in development. Mother emotionality may affect development at initial stages or even emotionality of the offspring in adulthood. In the present study we investigate emotionality, in maternal period, by performing the open field test in mice females from SM/J, LG/J inbred lines and generations F1 and F2 from this intercross. F2 females were also tested in nonmaternal phase. We investigate if F2 females emotionality was associated with variation in weight gain and offspring viability. Finally, we perform QTLs analysis (Quantitative Trait Loci) aiming to study genetic architecture of emotionality at postpartum phase. Ethological analysis indicates that LG/J females seem to have higher level of anxiety when compared to SM/J females. F1 and F2 generations did not show significant differences in most of the phenotypes analyzed. In the contrast between maternal and non-maternal phases of F2 females, it seems females were less anxious in non-maternal phase. In the relationship between anxiety and weight gain among F2 females we observed that several ethological data show significant association with weight gain in some period of life of these females. However, the ethological variations do not seem to interfere in the offspring survival. QTL analysis revealed 11 individual QTLs associated to the phenotypes grooming, immobility, activity at center, and motor activity, that accounts between 5 and 9% of emotionality variation. Beside individual QTLs, we found a total of 88 epistatic QTLs involving the five evaluated phenotypes that together with the individual QTLs explain 24 to 53% of emotionality variation in postpartum females. The present study allowed the identification of putative candidate genes, as well as their relative size effects and patterns of gene action affecting mice emotionality. These results reveal that genetic architecture of emotionality of LG/J x SM/J dams is complex, since indicate the existence of many genes, including the interaction among them in a complex network of epistasis. Besides the genetic basis, is worth noted that environment also have a important impact in emotions through epigenetic mechanisms.
