ABSTRACT Lead time reduction results in significant gains. This reduction is achieved through improvements programs in six different shop floor parameters. Two approaches, namely, Lean Manufacturing and Theory of Constraints have different tools and techniques with different improvement allocations in a production line. The tools and techniques of the first suggest improvements spread along the line. The second one advocates that the focus of improvements should be just on the constraint resource. In this context, this study investigates what is the best allocation of improvement programs regarding lead time reduction, a large improvement on the constraint resource, or, alternatively, small improvements on all workstations. In the present study, a quantitative model that relates System Dynamics (Forrester, 1961) and Factory Physics (Hopp; Spearman, 2001) approaches, created by Godinho Filho and Uzsoy (2008a; 2008b; 2009) is used. The results indicate that when constraint resource utilization is high and the difference in the utilization between constrained resource and non-constrained resource is significant (over 5%), a large investment constraint resource option is best. As the utilization of the constrained resource and the difference between the utilization of constrained and non-constrained resources decreases, the improvement program at various points of the line begins to behave better. This decrease in the difference between the utilization of constrained and non-constrained resource can be understood as a trend toward a balanced line. Lastly, if in practice, there is a balanced line and the constrained resource prevails over the non-constrained resource, the best option is a great concentrated investment at the constrained resource. However, might be situations where a great investment at the constrained resource is impracticable and the results of this work suggest that an hybrid approach is interesting when the constrained resource have higher utilizations (99,8% and 99,5%), already, when the utilization of the constrained resource is 90,5% a good option is the allocation of the improvement programs at various points of the line.

In this research, analytical procedures are proposed for the determination of inorganic constituents in honey samples from different Brazilian regions, by using the technique of Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS). Three different methods of sample preparation were evaluated: dilution with water, acid digestion in block and digestion assisted by microwave radiation. After determination of final acidity and residual carbon content, acid digestion with microwave radiation by using HNO3 2 mol L-1proved to be more appropriate. Next were determined the analyte Se, Mg, Ca, Al, P, Mn, Fe, Cu, Zn, Ba and Pb in sixty honey samples by ICP-MS and the best conditions to these determination such as the need to use the collision and reaction interface (CRI) and the addition of internal standard. The accuracy of this procedure was evaluated using two certified reference materials and recoveries ranged from 82% up to 115%. The results were evaluated using principal component analysis (PCA), but good separations were not well obtained, considering the wide variation in the components of the same class. Besides the determination of different analytes, the samples of honey were also analyzed by Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-NIR), in order to check possible adulteration and identify the regions of origin of the samples. This study used 46 honeys covering all regions of country, unadulterated honey samples and adulterated with glucose, cane sugar molasses and water in different proportions, from 10% to 50% (m m-1) and the results were analyzed using PCA. The results proved that it was possible to verify the feasibility of using the technique of NIR for classification of Brazilian honeys and also in checking the adulteration of honey, especially when the samples were adulterated with water.

The present work aims to describe and analyse communication and social interaction strategies of a female child, who was four years old in the beginning of the research, with multiple disabilities; visual impairment (congenital blindness), associated with physical disability (paraparesis), with a non-confirmed diagnosis of toxoplasmosis and citomegalovirus. The road to this identification is the playful interaction, in intervention situation, realized in conformity with the needs and initiatives of the child. Thus, the interaction becomes the way to identify signs, sometimes subtle, as forms of expression, which generally go unnoticed. The child received care in an institution which was linked to the Municipal Secretariat of Health from a medium-sized city of the State of São Paulo. Since the child feared being touched, as well as touching unknown objects, and great difficulty to communicate, the search for communicative signs was chosen. These signs expressed by the child when noticed by the interlocutor, may help the interactions and, therefore, her development. By considering the sensorial ways of perception which the people with visual impairment have, this work searches, in the last instance, subsidies to their scholar inclusion. The proposal is justified through the fact that while the visual images are enough for the immediate comprehension of the child with no visual impairment, subsidied by the sensorial integration given by sight, the child with visual impairment needs more specific contextualizations. In the beginning, a period of familiarization with the child was realized, in which the interaction with her was tried to be established, so that she would trust the researcher. To the collect of the data, individual interviews with the participant's mother were made, through means of adjustments of the "Educational Evaluation of Students with Low Vision and Multiple Disabilities in Childhood Education" instrument )developed by Bruno, 2005), to the research's objectives and to the mother's vocabulary, with the purpose of identifying aspects of the child's development, as well as her interest centers and situations which generate pleasure or discomfort to the child. afterwards, the sessions of intervention/teaching proposal were made, also aiming to identify the child's interest centers as well as communicative signs expressed by her. Transcriptions of the individual interviews with the mother and the categorization of communicative behaviors during the period of intervention which demonstrated pleasure or discomfort were made for the analysis of the data. Results point to the importance of vocalization and physical contact allied as helpers of the interaction and communication with and by the child.

The new structure of attention to the risky use, abuse and alcohol dependence in Brazil, was developed inside the resulting changes from the Psychiatric Reform. The current organization of the Brazilian health system has, among its guidelines, the units of primary care as the one of the access for users of health services. In this context, the Family Health Strategy has been identified as a distinguished field in the development of actions to identify and care alcohol dependents. Recent national policies that address the issue provide measures of comprehensive care to alcoholics, in addition to social, health and life harm reduction caused by abusive consumption of alcohol. Faced with the National Policy on Alcohol, it is questioned how policies have been put into practice by local health managers, as well as what the limits and possibilities of its implementation are. This qualitative study aimed to assess the perceptions of managers of the Department of Health, from a city of Sao Paulo State, which are responsible for health care services related to the subject, on the attention to the use, abuse and alcohol dependence. It was used as a background to this assessment, the reference of the Psychiatric Reform and the National Policy on Alcohol. To this end, it was also considered important to contextualize the municipality through consultation of documents and information given by the managers. To assess the perception of managers on the attention to the risky use, abuse and alcohol dependence in primary care, it was carried out semi-structured interviews with twelve of them. All ethical considerations were observed. Data were analyzed according to the content analysis, which is a thematic category proposed by Bardin. The assessment of interviews resulted in four themes: The thinking of managers on Alcohol Dependence Syndrome (ADS); Factors favoring the development of actions related to alcohol issues: from the potential to the implementation of actions; Fragility and limits for the development of actions related to alcohol issues; Tackling alcohol issues by the government: perceptions, expectations and suggestions. When reflecting on the managers opinions about alcoholism, it was evidenced strong influence on the model of the disease, and no association was found to the relevant question of its syndrome nature. From the analysis of the possibilities and limitations it can be clearly seen that the potentialities of the municipality are primarily related to municipal public administration, the municipal health department, in which stands the work of CAPS ad, and other social groups. As reported, the major fragilities are associated with the unpreparedness of the ones involved in the development of mental health services in primary care, including alcohol issues. It is also of great significance, the history of treatment based on psychiatric hospital models, which continues to have strong influence on the knowledge and practices particularly from family members and health workers, who still have some prejudice on the subject. When expressing their expectations for the effectiveness of actions, managers pointed out several suggestions highlighting the need for planning and evaluating actions with the implementation of practices based on care protocols and capacitating workers. It was finally observed that the city has been experiencing a process of change in care to the person making abusive use of alcohol, approaching the assumptions of the Psychiatric Reform and the National Policy on Alcohol. However, its implementation faces limitations in the cultural, historical, structural, social and political order. Thus, the developed practices are inserted in a field of tension where there are still two coexisting models: a psychosocial and a traditional, which slows down the process of changes.

The organizations face problematic situations that involve the analysis of a significant number of correlated variables to reduce the variability of production processes. There are many approaches, methods and techniques to support problem solving, however has achieved distinction in literature and adopted by Six Sigma companies, one of whose goals is to identify and eliminate the causes of variation in product and process through the use of techniques statistics. The Multivariate Data Analysis (MDAs) belongs to a set of techniques that examine both the relationship between several variables, have not been included in intensive training programs in Six Sigma. This research is qualitative and descriptive, whose purpose is to confirm the dimensions criticism from Firka (2011) and Montgomery (2010) agree that the use of statistical methods to problems of manufacturing in the context of Six Sigma programs, through the study of multiple cases. These research findings confirm the association between the use of technical barriers in the MDAs to factors of management and sociology, such as the lack of management support, focus on short-term results, the methodological factors (selection and validation of variables and results) and the statistical assumptions (multivariate normality, multicollinearity and homoscedasticity).

Chronic pain in various areas limits people's lives since it results on a reduction in thelevel of quality of life, disability and suffering. To evaluate and measure the perception of pain considering the complexity of this phenomenon is necessary a proper management. Thus, the evaluation of self-efficacy beliefs and quality of life are important for scientific research and the clinic since it allow to acess the characteristics of individuals with chronic pain, therefore develop strategies for their management. The aim of this study was to evaluate the pain, perceived by the individuals beliefs of self-efficacy and levels of quality of life in subjects with chronic pain. The specific objectives were: to characterize the participants with chronic pain their demographic information, the characterists at the perceived pain (location, medical diagnosis and pain intensity), to identify the self-efficacy beliefs of participants in with chronic pain, to identify the levels of quality of life in participants with chronic pain. To relate chronic pain levels at chronic pain with perceived selfefficacy beliefs and quality of life. Method: This is a cross-sectional study. It has been used: a questionnaire to identify socio-demographic aspects; the Self-Efficacy Scale for Chronic Pain; a 11-point Likert scale (0-10) to measure the intensity of pain and an instrument for assessing quality of life, WHOQOL-bref. Data collection was performed Family Health Unit of one city São Paulo state, Brazil. The study was approved by the Ethics Committee UFSCar. We develop an exploratory analysis for the collects data and applied the Spearman correlation coefficient to correlate the variables of interest. Results: The sample is made by 95 individuals with 55 years old average age and of females (80%), and low back pain, as the pain of higher prevalence. The average pain intensity was found to be 6.9, the average level of quality of life was 56.31, the psychological domain was most affected; and the average score of self-efficacy beliefs was 185.47 the area of pain control was the most affected. The results showed a negative correlation between pain intensity, selfefficacy beliefs and quality of life, which may indicate that the higher intensity of perceived pain, the less self-efficacy beliefs and the level of quality of life the individuals sampled. It was also noted that self-efficacy beliefs are positively correlated with the quality of life, which may indicate that the higher the self-efficacy beliefs, the better the quality of life. Conclusion: It is We emphasized that the findings of this study show consistent with the results of other research indicating that selfefficacy beliefs can influence the perception of pain and consequently the quality of life of individuals affected by chronic pain.

(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2012-02-27) Ferroni, Giovana Mendes; Gil, Maria Stella Coutinho de Alcântara; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1673770301699940; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4635554578426970
The development of teaching strategies and learning concepts for visual impaired children has been a challenge in researches and educational purposes. The objective of this study was to investigate the handling of toys for a child with multiple disabilities (visual impairment and associated disability) could occur in a teaching strategy that would be beneficial to the learning concepts. Therefore it was made a teaching environment with educational toys and games that were used to provide enjoyable and meaningful opportunities for the child, thus benefiting the conditions for the learning concepts. It has participated on this study a five year old girl in the beginning of the research , with multiple disabilities (visual impairment and associated disability), with unconfirmed diagnosis of toxoplasmosis after-effects and cytomegalovirus, who attended an institution of a medium-sized city of the State of Sao Paulo. Interviews were conducted with the mother of the participant and recorded in audio, familiarization sessions and teaching conditions were recorded in video as well. Four of the intervention sessions were examined in order to identify the parameters of analysis and define the episodes in which the context indicated the child's participation in the game with the experimenter and the her interaction with the toy. It was created categories of analysis considering the learning concepts, the actions of the adult and the child's actions in the games planned. Data analysis indicated that the participant played actively and showed satisfaction in activities of non-voice signals, such as shaking the body, beating the hands on the sides of her legs, shaking the head and clapping. Moreover, the adult's action, to contextualize the gestures and body movements from the participant, and the usage, for example, of the anticipation of what would happen in the environment, allowed the child to participate and remain in the game. In the situations in which the child didn't want to play, she turned her head to the opposite side of the experimenter or of the object that had been offered, or they sometimes said "not", or even shook the body from one side to the other, that could be interpreted as impatience, and muttered "Ãaaaaah" or "Iiihhhhh" or "Aaooo" or "Uuuu". The data indicated the importance of an adult mediation during the activities, so he could highlight and orientate the child's attention to: the objects that were at her disposal, the changes she could cause in the toys / objects during handling; the modifications that the objects produced in the environment, and the possibility of repeating the changes produced in the object and the environment. Furthermore, it was considered important that the adult was aware of the context of the game and the usage of the toys in a context. From the data obtained it was allowed to consider the context of games beneficial to the conditions of learning concepts by children with visual impairment and it also reaffirmed the importance of an adult sensitive to the clues offered by the child to create and develop appropriate conditions that promote learning.

Currently there are a lot of national and international social-educative politics aiming to assure an efficient application of equal opportunities for people with special needs. The assurance of access and permanence spreads over all segments and subject areas, such as Physical Education and, for being a mandatory part of primary education and comprising the pedagogical proposition, it cannot be indifferent to the inclusive education movement. Considering that pedagogical practices that are planned, organized and targeted indistinctly to all students are of fundamental importance to good quality education, this study aims at investigate the concepts and actions that guide the pedagogical practices related to the inclusion of students with special needs of physical education teachers from the public schools of a city of São Paulo State, comparing these practices with their speech. In this way, it is a qualitative study outlined by the transversal descriptive model since it analyzes or situates a group of people into a variable or concept, providing its description. I n order to achieve the study s goal one used two artifacts: field diaries for registering what was observed on the physical education teachers pedagogical practices, and semi-structured interviews, and it was chosen to apply content analysis. Therefore, the methodological path that was followed allowed one to envision different nuances of the pedagogical practices applied by some teachers, such as: a) lack of commitment to the area, the students education, continued education, the discussion that involves the education system and the difficulties inherent to the teaching duty; b) lack of knowledge about the legal regulation of the inclusion process; c) disenchantment with the profession and, most importantly, disparity and distancing of their pedagogical practices against the inclusion of students with special needs and the inclusion speech. However, there is a light on the horizon: some teachers surprisingly kept pedagogical practices meeting the standards that construct an education system which is, in this case related to Physical Education, more human, more serious, more experienced, more successful and more inclusive. Where, in the light of inclusion and by means of human rights, respect to diversity presupposes tolerance to the peculiarities of each student/person, consolidating in practice the so heated speeches despite of inclusion. In these meanders, one believes studying the inclusion process by observing the physical education teachers pedagogical practices and speeches allowed to comprehend the actual situation of public schools and their inclusion possibilities, where the knowledge needed for inclusive education is set, but the big challenge is the doubts and insecurity the teachers have about that process, besides the possibility (or impossibility?) of using all the developed resources in order to provide quality education and foster inclusive education. In view of the problem shown, one believes it is extremely important that every teacher regardless of subject area improves her knowledge about inclusion of students with special needs even though there are not yet students with such condition in the schools she works. After all, inclusion of students with special needs is not an option anymore but a guaranteed right and yet it is as indispensable as obvious to have consistence between speech and inclusive practice, for it is worthless addressing a speech and not doing what it states.

Different papers propose a interfacial pH variation during an electrochemical reaction. Among them, as example, can be cited the electrodeposition of Zn and Co as well as the steel corrosion in aqueous sulphide solutions. Considering this, we decide to investigated from a fundamental point of view such interfacial pH change during Hydrogen Evolution Reaction using finite elements method. The need to use numerical methods is related to the coupling among a large number of differential equations which have not any analytical solution under those conditions generally used in an electrochemical measurement. To perform such task we used Comsol Multiphysics software under Linux (Ubuntu 10.04). As the main purpose, we want to understand the pH change phenomena and explore also where it truly occurs during a reduction reaction. To investigate the system, it was simulated both, Volmer-Tafel and Volmer-Heyrovský mechanism and also considering both the hydronium and water reduction reactions. The transport of both H3O+ and OH- were described using the Nernst-Planck equation considering the diffusion and, in some cases, the conveccion. The charge transference for the produced/consumed species were modelled using the Butler-Volmer equation. It was also described the water dissociation and hydronium/hydroxil recombination reaction constant during the simulation experiments. Finally, the adsorption of H atoms on the surface we considered using Langmuir adsorption isotherm. Two different kinds of experiment were described under unidimensional geometry: linear sweep voltammetry and chronopotentiometry curves. 2-D geometry was used to simulate the ring-disk electrodes and also microelectrodes which were investigated in constant potential and voltammetric transients. The results shown that depending on the multiple variables presented above an interfacial pH change up 4.2 units can occur which surely modifies in a transient form the experimental conditions and must be considered during the design of such experiments.

Sustainability is an issue that has aroused great interest of society increasingly aware of the need to ensure that development in the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own. In the academic environment, studies on sustainability began in the late 1960s and intensified after the 1980s, influenced by several factors, including the occurrence of disasters of great environmental impact and that also raised debates about the commitment of survival of mankind and the planet. In this context, this study aimed to analyze the scientific production in sustainability. Special emphasis was given to understanding the contribution of Materials Science and Brazil to the scientific advances on sustainability. The study was based on the production of bibliometric indicators of scientific production from bibliographic records extracted from the database Web of Science. She was chosen for its scope and multidisciplinary, allowing the collection of significant publications on sustainability in different areas of knowledge and insight of the study indicated the foci. To study the contribution of the various areas of knowledge was developed a new procedure for classifying publications. As a result, we obtained indicators of production and scientific collaboration, detailing how the sustainability studies are distributed over time, as the producer countries to knowledge, as to the contribution of each area of knowledge and as to the matters discussed in the research. It was identified that sustainability in scientific production has grown at a rate higher than the growth of the database that represents the scientific world and that this research topic has a global reach, with 173 countries generating publications about him. These results are in line with the growing interest of the society on the issue. About the area of Materials Science, has been identified below the expected contribution, which is only a tenth area contribution to the studies on sustainability. It was noted that research on sustainability in the area of Materials Science began about fifteen years after the first studies on the subject, but now research in the area grow more than the subject in general. On matters of sustainability in the surveyed area of Materials Science can be noted the concern with aspects of construction, with expected attributes of materials such as durability and recyclability, and little attention to the materials themselves, especially if the concrete, biomass, ash and mud. Brazil has a relatively small contribution to the publications on sustainability, but growing at rates much higher than the average of other countries. A feature of the national scientific production on sustainability is its geographic distribution more homogeneous than the average national publications. The study pointed out the importance of sustainability as a research subject, the late and relatively small, but growing, contribution from the area of Materials Science for studies on sustainability and the growing contribution of Brazil to the studies on the subject. She also appointed a new methodological approach for the classification by area of knowledge collected from the publications in Web of Science.

Preterm Infants born and/or low birth weight often spend a long period of stay in neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) because they have greater instability organic frameworks. The deployment of these units was a key milestone in the care of newborn due to reduced neonatal morbidity and mortality, especially among extremely premature and very low birth weight premature. However, admission to NICU, besides being a stressor for the infant, because too painful treatments to which is submitted, constitutes a psychosocial risk factor in development Considering the possible relation between changes in the integration of sensory information, motor development and its effects on the pre-school, proposes that the present study from the perspective of secondary prevention in Special Education. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the sensory processing and motor development of infants preterm between 4 to 6 months, compared with full-term infants. It is therefore a descriptive, cross-sectional and prospective, composed of a study group made up of premature infants (n=15) and a control group composed of full-term infants. The sample (n=30) was assessed using the Test of Sensory Functions in Infant (TSFI), and scale Alberta Infants Motor Scale (AIMS). In the preterm group, when compared motor performance with sensory processing, the result was not significant. As for the Test of Sensory Functions in Infants, had significant difference between groups in total score (p=0.0113) and the sub item 1 (reactivity to tactile deep pressure) (p˂0.0001). Factors such as length of stay, maternal complications, complications in the NICU and brackets may be associates with this change. Among the most frequent maternal complication was hypertension, the brackets more used were oxygen and antibiotics, the most prevalent complications were hyaline membrane disease, and respiratory distress. A maternal and neonatal morbidity, in addition to prolonged hospitalization, may be associated with delayed motor development and the change in sensory processing, so it is essential to the assessment and referral to early intervention programs, justifying the need prevention strategies, as sensory an motor deficits may last throughout the years is most evident in the school year. Therefore, from the assessments, you can obtain information so that preventive measures can be implemented or, if necessary, therapies aimed at promoting development.

(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2012-02-27) França, Lucas Miguel; Zanin, Maria; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0110820790941569
This research for the master's degree in Science, Technology and Society (UFSCAR), has as objective to identify to promotional aspects of autonomy in the relations/partnerships established between public managers and enterprises of cooperatives of catadores. Among the highlights methodological procedures to review the literature on the subject and proposed data collection and information from the municipalities, supporting organizations, advisory and involved with cooperatives. The autonomy gain at the time of decisions, the planning activities of the cooperative and other aspects such as monitoring and training are considered essential for the success of experiments involving the use of social technologies and cooperatives. All these points are subject to analysis through the study of partnerships, in this case between public managers and recycling cooperatives in programs for shared management of waste. To develop working partnerships developed were analyzed in the cities of Piracicaba and São Carlos. In both cases respondents identified what are the possible promoting factors and not favoring autonomy in relationships / partnerships between public managers and recycling cooperatives and work done by groups, contributing to the achievement and maintenance of self-management, through the use of analytical categories such as: Decision-makers, degree of democratization in relations, division of labor, Solidarity, public action in the territory, project management, Participation / Coordination, Training networks, Possession of means of production, social, infrastructure investments and sources of revenue of the enterprise. As a result, it was noted that partnerships between cooperatives and managers demonstrate that they have a direct influence on the achievement of autonomy and work in the enterprises, thus hindering the development and ownership by the working groups.

This study, exploratory qualitative approach and field had as main objective to analyze attention to mental health in the context of family health. Broke up the assumption that the professionals of family health teams are links in mental health care and can contribute to the process of consolidation of the new model on health care. Through the interview structured way seeks to meet the conceptions that these healthcare professionals has on mental health in integral care to the health of an individual and the family; identify how inserts the mental health care in basic care and examine the possibilities of integration of mental health in the construction of the Network Agent entities of care. This analysis took in the whole of the careful, using also the literature of the Ministry of health about the inclusion of mental health in basic care, especially with respect to the guidelines and principles of the SUS, of the Brazilian psychiatric reform and health care networks family. Were identified two categories containing three subcategories each. The results suggest that the conceptions of mental health and care professionals integral are permeated by a sense of normality conducive to ability Resolutive of life's problems; ability to conduct life without taking medication and ability of the person to keep balanced. When mental health is understood as something that is not part of the human being the possible actions to be developed in basic care become insufficient in the face of the idea that this kind of care requires specialized interventions. You can realize that the care model developed in basic care ancora in health professional and not on needs that accompany the users. Viewed the lack of knowledge of the professionals who work in basic attention on services and expert assistance on mental health, a fact which brings harm to the scope of a network agent entities. The analysis showed reports that value the bond and mutual trust as allies on proposals for care, maintenance treatment, and early identification of problems related to mental health of users. The training and/or approximation of teams that specialize in mental health with basic care is seen as instrumental in increasing resolubilidade, decrease the feeling of impotence and diminishing existing pent-up demand in specialized services. Are still some potential that you can achieve with the Network Agent entities.

The solidarity economy is a way of economic organization and social practice relatively recent. The universities incubators, when working with the population that is most affected by the ills of an unequal society, contribute on a well known way of solidarity economy initiatives, the popular cooperatives. These incubators, for being part of a line of university extension, share knowledge between the academy and the popular sectors and, for this to be socialized on a uniform way for the incubated groups, must be disseminated, managed and shared within the technical crew of these incubators. Given the importance of creation, usage and sharing of knowledge generated by technological incubators of solidarity economy entrepreneurship located in Brazilian universities, this paper aimed to systematize and analyze the knowledge conversion in a university incubator of solidarity economy entrepreneurship. The process of knowledge conversion has been studied within the Regional Incubator of Popular Cooperatives of the Federal University of São Carlos and for its development, as well as an extensive literature review, theses and dissertations database consultation, query and analysis of documents from this incubator, interviews have been realized in order to characterize the knowledge conversions identified in the activities of the executive coordinators of the incubator, using the model of knowledge conversion proposed by Nonaka and Takeuchi (socialization, externalization, combination and internalization). The result of this study of case allowed to identify that the way of organization of those incubators allows and incentives the creation and sharing of knowledge, considering the self-managed format, the values of solidarity economy and the characteristics present in this kind of organization, provide a greater democratization of the knowledge produced, contributing to the conversion of knowledge. On the other hand, due to their different characteristics from other types of organization, it becomes necessary the use of appropriate ways that ensure that the produced knowledge is stored, aiming it sharing as: an easier access to documents and the produced knowledge; create mechanisms to store published works in the repositories and to enhance the internalization of the full reports.

This doctoral thesis is part of the line of research Teaching and Learning Processes . The aim of this study was to discuss dialogical relations between the self and the other on the perspectives of the authors Bakhtin and Paulo Freire, in order to promote the practice of freedom within the school. We conducted this discussion including the concepts of ethics, aesthetics, ideology, consciousness and language. Both authors emphasize the historical, subjective and ideological character in the formation of the self and the other and the dialogical relations emphasizing the horizon of possibilities that constitutes them. We stress that the action of teaching can encourage the practice of listening in their training, as well as in the student s; it also brings forward the importance of the teacher in the learning how to read the world and the word, favoring the quest for transformation and freedom. We can notice that in the schooling process the reading and writing practice may allow us teachers and students, to become critics and show responsiveness, thus, to search for liberty and transformation. It was possible to be noticed, along our study, that the self is, in Freirean and Bakhtinian perspective, necessarily formed by the interaction with the other, an important relation in the formation of consciousness, ideology, and also of responsibility (ethics combined with aesthetics), that conceive different dialogical relations, without which they may not be, without a self, without an other. We were able to observe the different dialogical relations for Bakhtin and Paulo Freire which allow the formation of a self commited to an other, to the world, in search for freedom. We conducted the discussion on education, regarding specifically the role of the progressive educator in teaching, and the importance of literacy, the reading the world, the reading and writing words. Hopefully this study will contribute to understanding the relations between the self and the other, between the teacher and the student, within school and in life.

(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2012-02-27) Peres, Lucas Salomão; Faria, Leandro Innocentini Lopes de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1418760696778752
The need to assign values to consumer and globalization have created a new format in the economy. These phenomena have increased investments in technology until the crisis of 1970 that generated a reduction in economic growth and consequently reduction in research funding. This context created resources that could gauge the areas that lacked development. One of the solutions found was the creation of scientific and technological indicators. Nanotechnology is considered one of the key technologies of the century, has been conceptualized this way featuring how important application in multidisciplinary areas. The present study aims to indicate and analyze information on technological innovations in nanotechnology based on indicators developed from the full text of patents. To achieve the proposed objectives used data mining technique to generate knowledge based on information from U.S. patents. The results obtained so far have shown that North American patents grew 80.85% over the past five years, the main patent application is for semiconductor devices corresponding to 24.4% of all applications, Asian countries are distinguished by the large number of applications in semiconductor devices and fabrication and tract of nanostructures and among the patents deposited in the U.S. Brazil is the state that is 23° position in the ranking although it is still very distant from other countries examined in this research. For criteria of information extraction from textual structure of patent claims were created smaller structures than they could submit their own meanings and enable understanding lexical and logical. Using another filter extract the claims textual contain from Brazilians priority patents .
