The intensification of relations between universities and industry is revealed as a strategy for the strengthening innovation systems. For this reason, there has been a significant increase in the country of discussions in the universities and in the context of public policies on the most appropriate institutional mechanisms to encourage interaction between universities and industries. However, the creation of institutional mechanisms imposes a co-evolution to universities and industry which must be managed carefully so that the interaction can ensure technological results in the near term without compromising the developmental trajectories of knowledge in the long term. Supported by evolutionary and neo-Schumpeterian approach, and a historical approach to the technical and institutional co-evolution of the innovation system of the Brazilian oil industry, this research aimed explore the relationship between the Petrobras and the institutions of science and technology of the State of Sao Paulo through its Thematic Research Networks. Through an exploratory, descriptive and analytical study, this research revealed that, in linking actors with different (and complementary) innovative capabilities, through the Thematic Research Networks, the Petrobras has strengthened its technological acquis and at the same time afforded to science and technology institutions of the State of São Paulo knowledge production in scientific frontier areas. In addition, the Petrobras to promote, through its Thematic Research Networks, the creation of permanent and specific infrastructure research, improve infrastructure research existing and improve human resources specialized, the Petrobras has increased the capability research, development and innovation (RD&I) of different research groups of the science and technology institutions of the State of Sao Paul, qualifying research groups to attend regional technological demands.

In this study the conditions of accessibility of pedestrian circulation spaces offered to people with physical disabilities users wheelchair were analyzed. The importance and influence of the characteristics of sidewalks and crossings in the choice of paths of public respondent were investigated. A virtual technical audit , through Google StreetView, paths frequently used, which had been previously evaluated and reported by respondents were analyzed . The virtual audit was based on the requirements of NBR9050/04, rules addressing accessibility for people with physical disabilities to buildings , spaces , urban furniture and equipment . First, related research were consulted and delimited the important and influential spaces for pedestrian movement characteristics, with respect, a person with physical disabilities. The results showed that the important characteristics in the sidewalks and crossings, and the quality of these reviews on the paths. The virtual audit showed the actual conditions of the pedestrian circulation spaces, which are outside the standards required by the standard, however the researched public was more tolerant conditions offered in these spaces.

Índices de política de concorrência: avaliação do caso brasileiro
(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-06-26) Falco, Guilherme de Aguiar; Pitelli, Mariusa Momenti; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2810339285129049; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5469395362302607; Rodrigues, Rodrigo Vilela; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7066100737307566; Moraes, Márcia Azanha Ferraz Dias; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2617570378223458
Market regulation brings on the expectation that government's intervention improves the economy. For example, the assumption that competitive environments enable efficient allocation of resources influences the development of antitrust policies and encourages free competition. The promotion of competition through laws and regulatory agencies follows this reading and public antitrust policies are disseminated throughout developed and developing countries. However, despite its wide application, these regulations lack empirical mechanisms that organize their major institutional properties and allow proper assessment of policy operation and its effects over the economy. This master thesis replicates to the Brazilian reality a set of indexes - previously developed for 13 other jurisdictions - that seek to translate institutional and qualitative information into objective, quantitative and comparable cross-country information. The indexes are created upon the compilation and classification of the characteristics of a particular jurisdiction with respect to a benchmark of best practices in deterring anticompetitive conducts. The immediate goal is to review and critique different designs of competition policy agencies and statutes, allowing cross-time and cross country analysis. The results for the Brazilian policy are positive regarding institutional features (rules of the game), both in cross-time and cross-country perspectives; Brazil presents inferior results regarding enforcement (human/financial resources and volume of cases analyzed by the competent agency); the aggregate index presents high levels in a cross-country analysis.

Petri Net (PN) is a graphical mathematical tool used to create models that provide a formal specification of systems, creating the possibility of running behavior analysis and property verification. PN models can be used to model several system types, for example, Manufacturing Systems. In general, using PN to model systems with too many characteristics cause the so-called state-space explosion problem, in other words, a great element profusion in the model. In order to mitigate the referred problem researchers developed reduction rules to synthetize models. Reduced models maintain original system properties and can be easily analyzed and simulated. A method to automate reduction rules application is proposed on the present research. A Genetic Algorithm heuristic is responsible for applying six reductions rules on Place-Transition Petri Nets given as input. The proposed algorithm, presented as a Matlab toolbox, may contribute when simulating and running property verification methodologies on Petri Net models.
