Cooperatives represent not only a way out of the problems of management of municipal solid waste, but also a possibility of integration and income generation for people who are outside the formal work. Nevertheless, the search for income and better life clashes with precarious working conditions. In this context, the aim of this study is to understand how the cooperative regulate their activity against the difficulties in the conveyor belt of sorting recyclable materials. The applied methodology includes a case study outlined by the Activity Ergonomics. The results indicate both an intense physical and mental effort associated with the collection of recyclable materials. During the activity, the cooperative members face few situations which may affect the objectives and regulate their activity without risking their internal state. Collective joints emerge from the conveyor belt as a possibility of collective regulation of the difficulties arising from the instantaneous overlapping variations (volume, variety and condition of materials) and ascending and descending requirements. These results indicate that the collection of recyclable materials is only possible through the inventiveness of the cooperative members to use perceptual exploration and solve problems facing the pace of work.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Estudo químico de Xanthomonas citri subsp. citri e sua influência no perfil químico de Citrus sinensis(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-12-17) Niculau, Edenilson dos Santos; Silva, Maria Fátima das Graças Fernandes da; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0457632122660653; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6072257438165385Citrus canker, caused by the bacteria Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. citri (Xac), is a disease that causes serious problems to the global citrus industry, especially to orange(Citrus sinensis). In this regard, this thesis describes the development of new methodologies for the diagnosis of citrus canker by volatile biomarkers or macromolecules produced by the C. sinensis-Xac association, as well, performed the chemical study of the wild strain of bacteria Xac searching to isolate and/or identify chemical compounds that may be associated to pathogenicity. The methods for diagnosis of citrus canker involved: dynamic headspace-GC-MS, HS-SPME/GC-MS and MALDI-TOF/MS. The main volatile biomarker identified by dynamic headspace-GC-MS was isoamyl benzoate and by HS-SPME/GC-MS aromatic compounds (benzaldehyde, phenyl methanol, methyl benzoate, 2-phenyl ethanol, benzyl acetate and ethyl benzoate) when N2 was used in the sample preparation, while without N2, benzothiazole and 2-ethylhexyl benzoate were the main biomarkers. The MALDI-TOF/MS technique was effective to differentiate statistically macromolecules produced by the healthy leaves of C. sinensis when in comparation to symptomatic leaves of citrus canker. The chemical study of Xac allowed the isolation or identification of 15 substances, some of them acting as signaling molecules in other bacteria with genomic similarity. Among the substances are: cyclo (Pro-Leu), cyclo (Pro-Val) and two diastereoisomers of cyclo (Pro-Phe), for which the relative configurations were determined, cyclo (Phe-Phe), quinolin-4-carboxaldehyde, fatty acid amides (octadecanamide, cis-9-octadecenamide, cis-13-docosenamide) and cis-11-methyl-2-dodecenoic acid (signaling molecule in X. campestris pv. campestris). According to several studies in literature, some of these compounds are involved in cell communication of some microorganisms or can be phytoxins released by the bacteria into the plant.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Aplicação de filmes com nanopartículas de prata na conservação de morangos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-12-17) Puti, Fernanda da Cunha; Corrêa, Daniel Souza; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0461451015026948; Ferreira, Marcos David; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6652079760634274; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9356451964516523The consumption of fruits and vegetables has been growing due to the efforts for a healthier diet. In this context, strawberry can be highlighted for its nutritional value and for being a tasty and attractive fruit. However, on Brazil conditions, for being harvested near its physiological maturity, losses in post-harvest quality are high. Polymeric films containing metal nanoparticles (NPs) have been used in food packaging, once they present properties that contribute in maintaining the quality of fruits and vegetables. For instance, silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) stands out for its antimicrobial action. The goal of this work was to evaluate the post-harvest quality of strawberries packed in polymeric films containing AgNPs and conventional net polymeric films (without NPs). For this purpose, commercial low-density polyethylene films (LDPE) containing AgNPs were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Infrared Spectroscopy Fourier Transform (FTIR), thermogravimetry (TGA), Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), antimicrobial activity tests. For evaluating the films influence on the physical-chemical and microbiological quality of strawberry, the following experiments were performed: (I) strawberry packaged in LDPE and LDPE+AgNP films were stored in cold chamber at 5 and 25 °C for nine days, where physical-chemical and microbiological analyzes were carried out at every three days; (II) Strawberry packaged by LDPE and LDPE+AgNP films were stored in cold chamber at 5 and 25 °C for nine days, and were submitted to the same physicalchemical analysis. To investigate in more details the antimicrobial effects of packaging, two experiments were carried out with strawberry inoculated by E. coli: (III) firstly, strawberry inoculated with E. coli with an initial concentration of 108 CFU mL-1 were stored at 5°C for ten days; subsequently, the physical-chemistry and microbiological analyses were carried out; and (IV) strawberry inoculated with E. coli with an initial concentration at 105 CFU mL-1 were stored at 10°C for ten days; subsequently, the microbiological analyses were carried out at every two days. Adding AgNPs on LDPE matrix did not influence the thermal and physical-chemical properties of films. Films containing AgNPs showed antimicrobial activity against Gram-positive and Gramnegative microrganims. Physical-chemical quality of strawberry was affected mainly by temperature and storage period. AgNPs contained in LDPE packaging was efficient on controlling microbial population growth. Antimicrobial activity and post-harvest quality attained by polyetilene films containing AgNPs may be an indicative for using such Aplicação de filmes com nanopartículas de prata na conservação de morangos type of active packing for other fruits and vegetables, which can help decreasing post harvest losses, and may contribute to improve food safety.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Análise da prática docente em uma iniciativa educacional que integra teoria e prática em cenários do SUS(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-12-17) Lara, Ellys Marina de Oliveira; Ogata, Márcia Niituma; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3274294833403570; Lima, Valéria Vernaschi; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7945420582384290; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4782271641802871Considering the hypothesis which says that the person responsible for people education is also being educated and modified during the teaching and learning processes along with individuals this person is teaching, this investigation aims to identify how the lecturer-facilitators from the “Clinical Governance in Health Regions” specialization understood their educational practice. The facilitators were simultaneously teachers from the “Clinical Governance in Health Regions” specialization and students from the “Health Educational Processes” specialization. Both specializations were built through a partnership between the Health Ministry – MS – and the Sírio-Libanês Teaching and Research Institute – IEP/HSL, being developed during the years of 2011 and 2012 in 10 Brazilian regions, indicated by MS. The courses utilized a constructivist approach and were guided by active methods of teaching and learning. The investigation was based upon the research qualitative principles and utilized the lecturer-facilitators Conclusion Course Thesis as the main source of data analysis. Among the thesis, the facilitators’ educational practice was reported in reflective synthesis about their teaching and learning trajectory. In order to interpret the data a thematic content analysis was applied. Two analytical categories was considered: Educational Practice and Health Care Practice. From those two categories, three thematic was identified: (i) Health professionals’ challenges in graduation and post-graduation; (ii) Building new strategies and educational capacities; (iii) Dialoguing with Clinical Governance elements. The first and the second thematic link to the analytical category “Educational Practice” and the third is linked to the category “Health Care Practice”. A fourth thematic (iv) called “Personal Life Transformations” was linked to the empirical category “Personal Development”. The facilitators’ conclusion course thesis pointed towards the competency profile development proposed by the course, especially to the articulation among educational and heath care practices. Accordingly, the autonomy ideas and construction of new knowledge, from the expansion of listening, respecting others and be tolerant to diversity, permeated all of the thematic. The feelings of discovery, joy and satisfaction reported by the facilitators, associated to the recognition of their own practice transformation point to the educational initiatives power, which integrates theory and practice.
