listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Modelagem de dados de sobrevivência com eventos recorrentes via fragilidade discreta(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-09-02) Macera, Márcia Aparecida Centanin; Cancho, Vicente Garibay; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3503233632044163; Louzada Neto, Francisco; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0994050156415890; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6315003942994414In this thesis it is proposed alternative methodologies and extensions on models for recurrent event data. Speci cally, we propose a model in which the distribution of the gap time is easily derived from the marginal rate function providing more direct practical interpretation besides to consider the relation between successive gap times for each individual. Another model that extends the frailty models for recurrent event data to allow a Bernoulli, Geometric, Poisson, Discrete Weibull, Negative Binomial or other discrete distribution of the frailty variable has also been proposed. The parameter estimation procedure for both models was conducted considering maximum likelihood methods. Simulation studies were performed in order to examine some frequentist properties of the estimation method and evaluate the maximum likelihood estimates quality. Real data applications demonstrated the use of the proposed models. Overall, the proposed models were suitable for analyzing recurrent event data.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Abordagem RPN para a recuperação de processos de negócio baseada na análise estática do código fonte(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-09-02) Rabelo, Luiz Alexandre Pacini; Prado, Antonio Francisco do; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2668568143800755; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6467138201435338Over time, Business Processes have become a key asset for organizations since it allows managing what happens within their environments. It is possible to automate some activities of business processes resorting to the use of Information Systems and accordingly decrease the execution time and increase the production. However, Information systems often suffer maintenance over time and become obsolete in their technologies and a reengineering process becomes necessary. In this case, the Business Knowledge, located more accurately the reality in information system source code, should be mantained. Thereof, in this work, we propose an Approach to support the Business Process Recovery from Source Code. The approach, entitled RPN, uses a static analysis technique of source code because it allows to analyze the source code without the need to modify and run the information system source code. Furthermore, the approach uses the Knowledge Discovery Metamodel (KDM) standard with a set of Heuristic rules to identify relevant code elements to the business layer. As result, Business Process Models are generated according to Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) standard specification. This models, together with other software artifacts, provide more subsidies to the Software Reengineering process. To evaluate the proposed approach, a case study was performed in Academic Domain to measure the effectiveness of the approach compared to the other approaches and the manual process. The results exceeded expectations and prove that the approach is effective.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Da racialização a etnicização : a construção de um complexo posicionar-se(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-09-02) Flor, Cauê Gomes; Silvério, Valter Roberto; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9421231847055027; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4557982568388268Since 2004 the city of Lins (São Paulo) receives proportionately the largest flow of African students in São Paulo. Early in our research had about 140 students from the Portuguese Speaking Countries (PALOP): Angola, Cape Verde, Sao Tome & Principe, Mozambique and Guinea Bissau. There they live and study at the University Center of Lins (Unilins). However, are overweight young people from Angola, about 120, are the only ones who are enunciated as Angolan community. By stating this discourse, African students tout and negotiate a set of representations, state differences and promote identification processes. Thus, this work aims specifically foregrounding the experiences of these young Angolan students in Brazilian society. That there is an ethnic character positioning played by students is, and this is the hypothesis of this study, enrolled assignment expression of blackness, historical and daily to people of African descent in their collective experience. In other words, students in their stay in Brazil undergo a process of racialization. And, in response to this denial produced by a process ethnization a positioning. Which in turn articulates intersected way these two sociological divisions (race and ethnicity). Thus, as important as the intersection and articulation of these two divisions, the form, the process, the "how" students perform this agency and negotiation is critical. You know how, in what way these students are building through complex cultural processes of identity and difference figures. From this derives the following specific objectives, though no less important: i) how and why Brazil is presented as a destination for these students? ii.) As the Angolan students perceive themselves in front of the Brazilian social formation? For if on the one hand, the particulars used to identify contribute to better understand their narratives about tensions and difficulties they experience in this new socio-cultural context; on the other, the choice of Brazil as a privileged destination for these young people is closely linked to the relations that Brazil has with Angola and other countries of Palop.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, O movimento negro e a cultura política no Brasil (1978-1988) : o caso de São Paulo(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-09-02) Andrade, Luiz Fernando Costa de; Silvério, Valter Roberto; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9421231847055027; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7793155028242658listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Elites legislativas comparadas : Caraguatatuba, São Sebastião e Ubatuba(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-09-02) Souza, Samuel Candido de; Kerbauy, Maria Teresa Miceli; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4762029784021248; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1407082138098452This research analyzes comparatively the social profile of council members from the cities of Caraguatatuba, São Sebastião and Ubatuba, located on the north coast of São Paulo, in the period that includes the 2000, 2004 and 2008 elections, with the aim of verify what the similarities and differences in the local political elite. Considering that cities have similar socioeconomic characteristics, the profile of political elite will be similar as well. The hypothesis is based on the assumption that the social, economic and institutional characteristics impose certain conditions for entry and success in the political field, compelling politicians to acquire certain types of capital, this favoring the recruitment in the social strata that have greater possibilities to acquire such capital, constituting a particular social profile of political elite. The professional category was the main feature of political agents to be compared by allowing us to identify the social insertion of politicians. The analysis found that there are many similarities in the political elite of the cities, and the few differences are explained by the particular way that each city fits into the regional economy.
