This graduation term paper aimed to comprehend how using Arts can contribute to teaching English Language Arts in a more significant way for elementary school students. The research started with the author´s interest in Arts, specifically in dance, mixed with the challenges of being an English teacher. The study is characterized as exploratory qualitative research and field research (as for its goals) and as a case study (as for its procedures), which came from a high bibliographic search, delimitated by themes (research for papers related to the object of study), linguistics (search for papers published in English and Portuguese), and main sources (books, magazines, paper work, etc). Finally, the field data collection happened at a bilingual education school in Sorocaba, between 2014 and 2015, followed by organization and analysis of the collected data. The study was divided into three chapters. The first presented several experiences where teachers integrated Arts while teaching other school subjects and the reflection about the integration of areas in educational practices, which justifies and legitimizes the research. For this reason, the same chapter conceptualizes the term interdisciplinary, providing the research with a deeper comprehension about the interdisciplinary teaching practices. The second chapter presented the methodology used to develop the paper, describing the set of processes used to write it. The third chapter described the data analysis gathered at the school, which involved activities implemented with five to ten year-old students and photographs of these activities.
O convívio de línguas en Ciudad del Este-Paraguai

Este trabajo tiene el objetivo de investigar la situación lingüística de Paraguay, más específicamente de Ciudad del Este. A través de entrevistas a un grupo de personas de esta ciudad, buscamos mostrar cómo es la relación de los participantes con las lenguas que son oficiales en el país, el castellano y el guaraní, y también con el portugués, lengua adicional bastante utilizada debido a la gran circulación del comercio y de la fuerte presencia de brasileños en esta región. También visamos comprender la relación de estas personas con lo que se clasifica como “yopará” (definición en castellano) o “jopará” (definición en guaraní). Para entender como se ha formado la distribución lingüística de la región, abordamos brevemente aspectos históricos, desde la llegada de colonizadores europeos en esta región de América del Sur hasta los días actuales en el país. De la sociolingüística, tomaremos términos como “bilingüismo” y “diglosia” y analizaremos el caso de la región de Ciudad del Este. A través de una selección de preguntas para componer un cuestionario, elaboramos algunas secciones de entrevistas, en las cuales esperamos comprender la importancia dada por este grupo de personas a las lenguas habladas en el país, y, más específicamente, en la ciudad donde fue hecha la coleta de dados de esta investigación.

Considerando la importancia de la educación para las diferencias en el contexto actual, existe una necesidad urgente de incorporar / adaptar temas problematizados basados en teorías poscríticas, como género, raza, etnia y sexualidad, en los materiales didácticos de lenguas extranjeras. En este sentido, este trabajo propone la realización de un prototipo de Unidad Didáctica para la enseñanza de la lengua española, no con el fin de proponer soluciones, sino de plantear interrogantes y reposicionamientos respecto a la práctica docente y la elaboración de materiales didácticos para la docencia. , con el objetivo de una ciudadanía plena y emancipadora. Para ello, este trabajo presenta reflexiones realizadas en la incipiente área de investigación de la Lingüística Aplicada Queer, concebida a partir de los entrelazamientos metodológicos de la Teoría Queer y la Lingüística Aplicada, y su potencial para un enfoque no esencialista y problematizador de las categorías identitarias, con el propósito de promover la práctica de la literacidad queer pensada para la diferencia.
Aplicações em modelos para gestão de materiais e estoque em uma empresa de remanufatura

Remanufacture can be defined as the industrial process where products worn, broken or used are restored getting a new life. Currently, many companies remanufactured products, driven by economic or environmental benefits, or by the force of law. Performing materials management and inventory in this environment with peculiar characteristics efficiently, it is necessary to contain waste with excess inventory or lack of material for production. In addition, the purchasing department holds an important position in most organizations, as parts, components and supplies can represent 40-60% of the final value of sales of any product. Thus, the objective of this work is the proposition and implementation of inventory management models in a remanufacturing company of fire extinguishers and analyze the efficiency of these through the expenses accumulated during one quarter. Based on preliminary analysis of the historical consumption series of selected materials, three propositions were suggested. The results show that when we analyzed the implementation of the proposals in material individually, there were cost reductions and better regularity in buying some, and in others, the proposals have not brought benefits. With the results, it is suggested that the application of the propositions, even partially for some materials, can help to increase the company's competitiveness with the availability of capital that was previously allocated to the purchase of these.
Uma abordagem otimizada para reconhecimento de logomarcas de veículos usando SURF

Perform fast and accurate recognition of objects is still a challenging task in many applications. In this sense the techniques based on detection and description of image features and in correspondence (matching) has been set up as an important technological evolution in the development of object recognition systems. The most common procedure for object recognition systems is that, given some knowledge about the appearance of some objects, one or more images are examined to determine whether the object is present and the location thereof. Recognition of flat objects, such as images and logos is part of that context today and the approaches proposed for vehicle logos recognition problem. This problem has been one of the domain issues in automatic identification solutions. But realize the recognition of logos vehicles in quick way to images while maintaining the precision of the method employed is still a problem. On the other hand there is also the problem of enabling the application of the method speeded Up Robust Features (SURF) in recognition solutions objects. This method makes it possible to identify points of interest in images quickly and robustly. This paper proposes the development of an approach based on image processing and computer vision techniques to carry out reconnaissance vehicles of logos. The proposed method makes use of the SURF algorithm to perform recognition logos vehicles, combining algorithm with other techniques, such as the Canny method, Conci, Carvalho and Rauber, ROI, KNN and RANSAC to solve the problem, performing recognition the logos of vehicles from 45% to 100% of the images analyzed in a good runtime. The development of this research demonstrate a possible alternative choice for the logos of recognition problem of vehicles through efficient use of a model SURF method.
A organização e guarda dos itens bibliográficos nos acervos das bibliotecas visando a preservação, conservação e recuperação da informação

ABSTRACT This paper aims to demonstrate the importance that libraries should give to the correct storage of bibliographic items in their collections, in order to increase the useful life of the items and facilitate their recovery. This paper will point out the main procedural errors committed in storage and suggest procedures that are best suited to meet this purpose. The importance of standardizing storage procedures and their usefulness will be shown not only in terms of conservation of items, but also in the recovery of information by users and in terms of library administration. Aspects such as: conservation, location, quality of materials, adequate and planned physical space, inventory, security of bibliographic items, behavior of professionals involved in storage, supervision of storage, thinning policy, marketing to users and guidance to users will be the main points addressed in this paper. Comparisons will be made between storage methods in order to demonstrate how neglecting bibliographic items can be potentially harmful not only to the collection itself, but also to the institution's image among its users and the community in general. We will seek to use the epistemology of the administration area to improve the flow of the storage process and the transmission of knowledge. The conclusion of the study allowed us to conclude that only with standardization, organization, strategy, adequate procedures, socialization and collaboration of all involved will we be able to transform our institutions into reliable information reference centers that are accessible to users in general.
