Reports in the literature suggest that the changes caused by F in the body are dose- and time-dependent. The objective of this study was to analyze the effect of different F concentrations, exposure time to this ion and concomitant exposure to a high calorie diet in the metabolism of lipids and protein expression in the liver of rats. The study was divided into 2 steps. The first step included 72 21-day-old male Wistar rats that were divided into 2 groups (n=36) according to the diet administered (AIN-93M and Presence). Each group was further divided according to the duration of the treatment (20 or 60 days). In addition, each these was divided into 3 subgroups (n=6), according to the concentration of F administrated in the drinking water, as follows: 0 mg/L (control), 15 mg/L or 50 mg/L. After the experimental period, the animals were anesthetized and the liver and blood were collected. F analysis in plasma and liver tissue was done. Part of the liver was fixed for histological analysis. Lipids were analyzed in plasma and triglycerides were analyzed in the liver. Expressions of proteins were evaluated in the liver by Western blotting. In the second step the only Presence diet were use and the groups experimental the same as previously described. At the end of experimental period, liver and plasma were collected. F concentration in plasma and liver were analyzed. Liver proteins were extracted and prepared for mass spectrometry analysis. Proteins were sequenced and identified. The analysis of F concentrations indicated a doseresponse increase in plasma, regardless the time of exposure to F and type of diet. F concentrations in the liver were higher in the groups receiving 50 ppm F in respect to control. Administration of F altered the lipid profile, with a reduction in TGA in plasma and increase in HDL when the hypercaloric diet was used. The expression of GRP78, ERP29 and SOD2 and Apo-E was altered by F, under the influence of time and type of diet administered. For the groups receiving 50 mgF/L, it was observed an increase in the concentration of proteins related to the defense against oxidative stress and ER stress. For the group that received the concentration of 15 mgF/L, changes in structural proteins, mitochondrial proteins and proteins related to cell proliferation were observed, depending on the time of administration. Despite that aforementioned population is numerically greater in the metropolis, nowadays even at medium-sized cities, such as São Carlos, there are people in this condition, justifying this city’s choice as the research field. This work aimed to analyze the caring practices and the conceptions of the homeless population in the city of São Carlos, from the speech of health professionals that work with that. Thereunto, social research methodology has been utilized, having as a tool the semi-structured interview, the focal groups with sixteen health services professionals from SUS who work with the health care for the homeless, and a representative of the specialized service for the homeless population from the Unified System of Social Assistance. For analyzing the data, the Content Analysis techinique has been used. In the light of the vulnerability concept and articles about the SUS and the homeless population care, five major content categories were discussed, extracted from the interview/focal groups. These were: Conceptions about the homeless population; Conceptions about the homeless population’s health care; Care provided to homeless population’s health; Knowledge about the network and intersectoral approach; Training for professionals to take care of the homeless. It has been argued that there is a need to occur a permanent education process for the workers, about the multiple intrinsic aspects of the street population caring. Ceramics based on Yttrium doped- Barium cerate are potential candidates for this application due high protonic electrical conducitivity at intermediate temperatures, 500~600o C. In this present work, BaCe0,9Y0,1O3 based ceramics were prepared by solid state reaction and wet chemical route, specifically amorphous citrate process. The sintering parameters were controlled by dwell temperature, dwell time and heating rate. X ray diffraction was performed to powders, green and sintered ceramics and the perovskite phase was obtained but it was observed that lattice symmetry shows strongly dependent on dwell sintering and powders preparation route. The scanning electronic microscopy and sintering at dilatometer were performed and have shown a liquid phase sintering. A model to BaCe0,9Y0,1O3 sintering was proposed which the partial substitution of Yttrium atoms at host site of Cerium leads to a liquid phase formation at eutectic point of BaCeO3 composition and this promotes densification. The following step is dedicated to re-incorporation of Yttrium atoms to lattice and returning to conductive phase. The success of this step is favored by higher temperatures and chemical homogeneity of powders. The electrical conductivity shows stronger dependence on sintering profile at wet chemical powder than at solid state reaction powder. This MSc thesis provided for the first time in the literature, a fundamental understanding on the Friction Riveting process for metal-thermoset composites joints. Joints of Ti-6Al-4V rivet and pultruded glass fiber reinforced thermoset polyester part were produced under three joining conditions with different heat input. Thorough analytical techniques were used to understand the physics of the process and the effect of the energy input on the final microstructure of the joined parts, the physico-chemical changes in the composite and the local and global mechanical properties of the joints. The process temperature reached values up to 761 ± 2°C indicating intrinsic degradation of the composite, formation of a softened/molten glass interlayer between the rivet and the composite and complex metallurgical transformations in the metallic rivet. Through monitoring of the process temperature and torque, an unstable friction regime was observed for FricRiveting of pultruded thermoset composites leading to distinguished extents of composite degradation. The microstructure of the Ti-6Al-4V alloy changed across the length of the rivet, from the equiaxed morphology to acicular structures in the rivet tip, where plastic deformation occurred. Three microstructural zones were proposed for each joint part including two thermo-mechanically affected zones and a heat affected zone. Microhardness mapping was performed in the metallic rivet evidencing an increase from the center to the tip of the rivet, with a hardness increment of over 20% compared to the base material (HVTi6Al4V= 300- 320 HV). The glass interphase consolidated in the metallic surface reached values of up to 974 HV followed by a drastic decrease to 24 HV in the polyester matrix located out of the joint area. The ultimate bearing strength ranged between 60 MPa and 166 MPa. Lesser composite degraded areas led to stronger joints. Two failure modes were observed combining initial composite bearing followed by final failure through shear of the rivet with partial rivet pullout or by full rivet pull-out. Complex failure micro-mechanisms were observed including the combination of cohesive and adhesive failures through the glass layer and the damaged composite interface. Friction-riveted joints achieved an ultimate lap shear strength of up to 80% to that of a similar bolted joint. The presence of women in the scenario of agriculture is still marginalized and amended as aid to work of the men, which are considered the main force of productive unit, and in extension activities to domestic work - as vegetable gardens, small livestock and other activities that involve the backyard. From addition, in rural studies, is a great challenge to incorporate the woman as the subject and focus of research. This article understands the importance of giving continuity and visibility to the studies and research that involve the theme of women and gender in agriculture, in particular in the area of knowledge of agroecology. This way, it was proposed a bibliometric analysis of the studies presented in the Brazilian Congresses of Agroecology (CBAs). Whereas the various contributions of different areas of knowledge in agroecology, bibliometrics can provide important information on the directions of studies and research in this area in Brazil. To analyze the data and the content of the abstracts expanded with the theme of women and gender, it was chosen to organize them through a filter with the following terms: gender, women, peasant, rural women, workers, women, farmers, producers, the ospreys, seated and garbage collectors. The summaries selected from the filter were organized through the following metadata: Title, Authorship, Affiliation, Year of publication, Abstract and Keyword. In this article we managed to analyze the authorship and affiliation, showing how each state/region of Brazil has influenced on publications during the twelve years of CBA. In Neotropical savannas the relative importance of these processes for plant regeneration are unclear because of the scarcity of studies. The aim of this study was to evaluate the importance of seed and establishment limitation to plant recruitment on cerrado savanna in Itirapina, southeast Brazil (22°12´S, 47°52´W). We spread 49 seed traps in a 0.64-ha plot and monitored seed rain monthly for a year, and also conducted seed addition experiments. Seed production presented a peak in rainy season, with zoochoric and anemochoric species producing seeds mainly in rainy and dry season respectively. Our study indicates a strong influence of seed limitation on recruitment, with most seed rain species presenting seed limitation values higher than 65%. Only 23% of woody species in the plot had at least one seed trapped. Seed and source limitation was negative related to adult abundance, indicating that the increase of seed sources enhances the number of suitable sites reached by seeds. There was no relation between seed, source and dispersal limitation and plant life form, dispersal syndrome and seed mass. Seed addition was unable to increase seedling regeneration in the four species tested, which presented high values of establishment limitation. It was conducted by the following research question: How is teaching expressed in the writings of future Mathematics teachers while they are inserted in PIBID? To contextualize the research, a historical survey on teacher training in Brazil was made, and a brief PIBID history was also presented. The research relied on theoretical contributions on the importance of practice in the teacher training process and also on the issue collaborative partnership between school and University. As the focus of the research was to analyze the writings of future teachers, the instrument used for data collection was the portfolio, prepared by PIBID undergraduates. Thus, the literature on the importance of writing in the teacher training process was consulted and the concept of portfolios and their purpose in the initial training process of teachers were studied. Therefore, thirteen portfolios were selected for pre-analysis, from which six, related to three undergraduates, were analyzed through categories within four axes of analysis: (1) of personal character; (2) related to classroom; (3) related to students; and (4) related to school and/or to education. As a result, it is inferred that future teachers have a broad understanding of teaching while they are inserted in PIBID, extensively expressing teaching in their writings through the four axes of analysis, highlighting the following categories: pedagogical knowledge; experience; planning, adaptation and improvisation; socialization; contextualization; use of resources and technologies; adversities; student learning; evaluation of learning; discipline; lack of resources; and intention of education.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, As atividades experimentais educativas como complemento e motivação no ensino - aprendizagem de química no ensino médio(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-12-18) Chicrala, Kleber Jorge Savio; Souza, Ernesto Chaves Pereira de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1505400360366643; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7957616095295603The proposed investigative work within the PPGQ - Professional Master - Chemistry Teaching UFSCar, proposes to use as a teaching methodology using the teaching kit as a motivating tool for learning of high school students. The objective of this work is to verify the student's motivation for learning using the teaching kit as a tool and reinforcement to learn basic fundamentals of chemistry, and the relevance that link to this stimulus, and how they evaluate this feature as a methodology for teaching learning. We as a theoretical framework that justifies and directs the research, the theory of David Paul Ausubel on Meaningful Learning, and Vygotsky's theory on the socio-interactional. We propose to carry out the studies and research comparing students' motivation for teaching and learning in classes that only use the methodology exhibition to teach and motivate students to learn, and the so-called methodology of ludo-educational, with the use of an educational kit chemistry developed with the purpose of teaching the basic concepts of chemistry, such as conductivity test, measures pH, precipitation reactions, acid-base reactions, redox reactions, chemical complexation reactions and chemical reactions in general. They participated in the experiment 20 students of the 3rd year of high school at the State School "Alvaro Guião", located in São Carlos - SP. We discuss the use of the teaching kit or play experimental activity in the classroom, as a support tool and complement the theoretical and lectures, and motivate students to learn chemistry in a process involving the student and the teacher and student with another student. Completing and learning the concepts, and motivating the student to explain how they understand life, the concepts and express what they feel, and possible limitations that may have. While using the educational kit, the experimental activities, was given will give continuous monitoring, and explanations on using the kit. And at the end, it applied a questionnaire approved by the Ethics Committee of the Federal University of São Carlos - Ufscar, assessing the student's motivation for teaching and learning, its limitations, conclusions and motivations concerning the use of the teaching kit and experimental activities, compared to lecture. However, compilers usually issue short contextless messages with little information and with terms that are difficult to understand. This work introduces the plug-in Error Message System (EMS) that allows the presentation of easy-to-understand and more meaningful error messages. EMS is a plug-in to the Eclipse IDE. It is highly configurable through Domain Specific Languages (DSLs). The DSLs allow that regular users build their own error messages and share them. Therefore, this study was conducted with the objectives: (1) evaluate the effectiveness of control of ametryne herbicides, clomazone, diuron + hexazinone, metribuzin, saflufenacil, sulfentrazone and tebuthiuron used in isolation and in combination, in controlling Ipomoea nil, Ipomoea triloba and Merremia cissoides, submitted to different periods of drought, with 0, 20, 40 and 60 days without irrigation; (2) evaluate the effect of ametryne herbicides, clomazone, diuron + hexazinone, metribuzin, saflufenacil, sulfentrazone and tebuthiuron in the early development of varieties of sugarcane through pre-sprouted seedlings. The tests were conducted in a greenhouse in the CCA / UFSCar with controlled irrigation sprinkler. 4-liter pots were used, filled with sandy clay loam soil. The experimental design was completely randomized with four repetitions, in both parts of the project. At work on effectiveness of herbicides in weed control, herbicides were applied on the ground and subjected to drought periods of 0, 20, 40 and 60 days before sowing the weed species. After the drought 0, 20 40 and 60 days, the seeds of Ipomoea nil, Ipomoea triloba and Merremia cissoides were sown with minimal soil disturbance and evaluations were made 45 days after sowing (DAS), visually We used a percentage scale. In working with seedlings of sugarcane varieties, herbicides were applied at 3 and 10 days after transplantation of pre-sprouted seedlings and were made visual assessments with 7, 15, 30 and 60 days after treatments (DAT), also using a visual scale ranging from 0 to 100%. In quantitative assessments we evaluated the plant height parameters (m), leaf area (cm2) and shoot dry biomass (g) with 60 DAT. With respect to efficiency in weed control there was a reduction of saflufenacil herbicides control efficiency, clomazone, ametryne and metribuzim when subjected to drought periods. In the case of saflufenacil control efficacy was maintained until 20 days of drought. The varieties of pre-sprouted seedlings (BPMs) were shown to be different in phytotoxicity and biometric parameters in relation to the applied herbicide. The treatment saflufenacil + clomazone is phytotoxic to as sugarcane cuttings, however, depending on the variety, did not affect its dry biomass. The metribuzin, was the most selective herbicide in association with saflufenacil, saflufenacil isolated showed phytotoxicity below 30% in all varieties.
