Direct the focus to the child, the enhancement and empowerment of caregivers and family are essential for building knowledge and thus promote child development. This study is linked to the development of Dialogue Meetings (DM) among pregnant women and researchers during the prenatal period, with a view to empowering women and families to face common during the neonatal period. Objective: This study aims to analyze the influence of ED in prenatally in maternal care experience to term newborn, with special attention to health complications in the first month after the child's birth. Methodology: This is an exploratory qualitative study, adopting as a theoretical Symbolic Interactionism and the methodological framework to Bardin Content Analysis. The results are derived from interviews with seven women. There is approval of the study with an ethics committee under number 957814. Results: Results are presented from two themes: "Breastfeeding and infant colic" and "care for the newborn and maternity." The women report difficulties in breastfeeding, especially in terms of grip and handling. In addition, experience the infant colic and limitations of resolution, the need to take care of the umbilical stump, skin manifestations and flow / milk regurgitamentos. All in a context immersed knowledge and popular beliefs. Experience insecurities and fears, but are lived in the DM support for facing them. Conclusion: The results indicate contributions of DM in the management of health complications in children in their first month of life. Nevertheless, in hospitalization, studies indicate changes in the performance of the play, and consequently, the quality of children's life. It was proposed to assess the child's quality of life during hospitalization. This is a descriptive, cross-sectional research, which proposed to compare two groups, one (Group 1) in the absence of toy room or permanent toy in pediatric ward and the other (Group 2) in the presence of toy or toy room in the pediatric ward. Twelve children were interviewed, 8 belonging to Group 1 and 4 to Group 2, aged six to 12 years, it was used the Autoquestionnaire Qualité De Vie Enfant Imagé (AUQEI), as well as interviews with the participants and their responsible ones. The results revealed in Group 1 the possibility of interaction and play among children, different from Group 2 in which it was noted restrictions on single room (bed-box). As to permanent toy, it was not observed effectiveness regarding access and use on free demand, obtaining satisfactory results in relation to play in the service of occupational therapy. It was found that children who play reported positive feelings (happiness) during the hospitalization experience. In AUQEI scale, it was verified in Group 1 that 37.5% of children have had damages in the quality of life, being the average 49.5 with P.D. = 5.88, above the cutoff of 48 expected to satisfactory quality of life. While in Group 2, the damage was appointed in 75% of the cases, with an average of 46.5 with P.D. = 4.65, that is, below expectations. Statistically, it was not observed significant differences by the Mann-Whitney test (5%) between the comparison of groups, being not rejected the hypothesis that the groups are equal, however, it is considered the particularities and diversities of the groups. The AUQEI instrument showed good psychometric properties when applied to the two groups. The study shows the establishment of a positive relationship to the sense of well being and quality of life for children who play. Moreover, it must be considered the clinical condition, the subjectivity of the way to understand and face this experience and the importance of play, especially as the stimulus. One way of overcoming this inhibition effect is to use extractive fermentation, where the ethanol is removed from the broth during the fermentation process. The present work evaluated sucrose ethanol production using extractive fermentation using CO2 as stripping gas. Firstly, it was made investigation of the influence of specific CO2 flow rate, initial ethanol concentration and solution temperature on ethanol stripping by CO2. At this stage the modeling of the of ethanol and water removal was achieved by CO2 stripping according to a first order model. In sequence, it was studied the production of ethanol by extractive fermentation in batch and fed-batch modes, employing in a 5 L bubble column bioreactor and temperature of 34.0 °C. The kinetic parameters of the hybrid Andrews-Levenspiel model were estimated by modeling of conventional batch and fed-batch fermentations (without stripping) with CS0 of 180 g.L-1. Mathematical modeling of extractive in batch and fed-batch ethanol fermentation was developed considering the removal of ethanol and water, due to the CO2 stripping, according to a first order model. Later it was optimized the production of ethanol by extractive fed-batch fermentation. A genetic algorithm was used to simultaneous optimization the substrate feed rate (F) and the ethanol concentration (CE0) to start CO2 stripping in extractive fed-batch fermentation, so as to obtain the maximum ethanol productivity. The ethanol removal by stripping with carbon dioxide can be modeled as a first order model. The hybrid model of Andrews-Levenspiel was adequate to describe the kinetics of batch and fed batch ethanol fermentation. The proposed model for extractive ethanol fermentation with CO2 was adequate to describe the behavior of extractive fermentation in batch and fed batch modes. In the extractive ethanol fermentation with CO2 stripping an increase in substrate uptake rate (rS=−dCs/dt) after the beginning of ethanol stripping and the total consumption of the substrate occurred before the extractive fermentation compared to the conventional process. The extractive batch fermentation with CS0=180 g.L-1 and CO2 stripping initiated after 3 h of fermentation at an ethanol concentration of 43.3 g.L-1, resulted in an ethanol productivity (in g.L-1.h-1) about 25% higher than conventional batch fermentation. For fed-batch fermentation, vat filling time (Ft) of 5 h and start of ethanol stripping at 3 h of fermentation substantially reduced the inhibitory effects of the substrate and ethanol on the yeast cells. This condition enabled the extractive fed-batch ethanol fermentation to be performed using substrate concentrations of up to 240 g.L−1 in the feed. The total ethanol concentration reached 110.3 g.L−1 (14 °GL) (wine + entrained). The use of the optimization tool enabled using substrate concentrations of up to 300 g.L-1 generating a total concentration of ethanol of 17.2 °GL (wine + entrained), which means an increase of 65% compared to the concentration final ethanol obtained in conventional fermentation without stripping.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Evolução molecular e padrões de expressão de genes da família das proteínas ligantes a odores (OBPs) em duas espécies de moscas-das-frutas do grupo Anastrepha fraterculus(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-04-18) Campanini, Emeline Boni; Brito, Reinaldo Alves de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8253066295947754; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8505454258477866Odorant-binding proteins (OBPs) are of great importance for survival and reproduction since they participate in initial steps of the olfactory signal transduction cascade, solubilizing and transporting chemical signals to the olfactory receptors. A comparative analysis of OBPs between closely related species may help explain how these genes evolve and are maintained under natural selection and how differences in these proteins can affect olfactory responses, and consequently lead to species differentiation. We studied OBP genes in the closely related species Anastrepha fraterculus and Anastrepha obliqua, which, albeit generalists, have different host preferences, using transcriptomes and real time quantitative PCR data. We identified 24 different OBP sequences from Anastrepha fraterculus and 25 from A. obliqua, which correspond to 21 Drosophila melanogaster OBP genes. Phylogenetic analysis separated Anastrepha OBPs sequences in four branches that represent four subfamilies: classic, minus-C, plus-C and dimer. We found evidence of positive selection in three classic subfamily genes OBP56h-1, OBP56h-2 e OBP57c and in the plus-C subfamily gene OBP50a, and at least one duplication event that preceded the speciation of these two species. Four positively selected sites putatively resulted in radical changes in amino acid properties. Inferences on tertiary structures of putative proteins from these genes revealed that at least one positively selected change involves the binding cavity (the odorant binding region) in the plus-C OBP50a, which is important because changes in the binding cavity could change OBPs specificity. Differential gene expression analysis at different reproductive stages showed that all nine OBP genes tested were significantly differentially expressed between A. fraterculus and A. obliqua at several reproductive profiles, but OBP56a, OBP56d, OBP57c and both OBP56h paralogs showed the highest differences in expression levels. The results generated in this study indicated that at least seven OBP genes may be involved in the A. fraterculus e A. obliqua differentiation, and in the fraterculus group differentiation as well.
