Over the last decade, sustainability reporting have gained prominence as a growing practice among organizations around the world, accompanied by the increased popularity and adoption of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) framework. This has opened space for studies on the disclosure practices of organizations, resulting in the creation of evaluation methodologies for sustainability reports generally focused on the detail level of the information disclosed. As the GRI guidelines are now the main reference for the preparation of such reports and from January 2016 onwards his fourth generation is mandatory, an appropriate methodology is necessary. Mainly considering a focus hitherto despised, as the compliance with the GRI framework and the reporting of meaningful content to the stakeholders, which can be a good representative of the disclosure practices and performance of the organization towards sustainability. Thus, the study aims to propose an evaluation tool for sustainability reports according to GRI G4 guidelines, in addition the study also seeks to clarify how the GRI framework is being used by organizations, to identify the methodological weaknesses of the other evaluation methods and to analyze the performance of various organizations in the new tool. Through a Systematic Literature Review, the main evaluation methods were raised and, after analysis, the methodological weaknesses have been identified. Then, we first tried to explain how the GRI framework is being used to monitor and report on organizational sustainable practices. Hence, it was analyzed GRI reports of the automotive sector published between 2010 and 2014. Thirteen reports at national level and 76 reports globally were analyzed. After, a questionnaire was applied to researchers from around the world on issues related to evaluation, reports and sustainability, and the results were used to determine the weight of the GRI elements using the Mudge diagram. Therefore, a quick and easy to use evaluation method based on GRI guidelines has been developed and applied for all the 89 analyzed reports. Additionally, the Spearman's rank correlation coefficient and direct comparatives were conducted to identify behavioral patterns in sustainability reporting. The research brings contributions both to the academic area, such as the identification of errors in the reports currently released and present weaknesses in the existing assessment methodologies; and to practice area, once the sustainability report assessment tool is pratical and useful to organizations, stakeholders and the GRI itself.

This research intends to investigate the influence of ideological debate and therefore the internal political struggle in the formulation of Brazilian foreign policy during the democratic period of 1945-1964. It tests the hypothesis that the formulation and implementation of the Independent Foreign Policy, in the early 1960s years, corresponded to the radicalization of the national development project and was the culmination of a instrumentalization process of the foreign policy to the national project, started at least since the second government of Getúlio Vargas (1951-1954). Through the analysis of some documents and texts from Francisco Clementino de San Tiago Dantas, important Brazilian intellectual and politician, we intend to identify concepts, theories and arguments that characterize his political thought as well as its correspondence with the ideas that supported the foreign policy in the period 1950-1960.

O programa minha casa minha vida e o marco regulatorio urbanístico do munícipio : o caso de Araraquara
(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-04-27) Balestrini, Milton; Castro, Carolina Maria Pozzi de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2178910002833930; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9281051827144510
The Minha Casa Minha Vida Programme (My House My Life) was launched in April 2009 with anti-cyclical objectives, in order to counteract the effects of the crisis triggered by the bursting of the housing bubble in the United States in 2008 (the subprime crisis), which caused consequences for the global economy. The PMCMV, however, reduced attention to the objectives of PlanHab - National Housing Plan, calling for the urgent need to maintain the level of economic activity. After five years of operation, the program is intimately linked to the National Housing Policy, to the point that, in practice, it has replaced it. The amount of produced houses is impressive. The Caixa Econômica Federal, a public bank, as the founding manager of the Housing policies and the PMCMV, attached to the Ministry of Finance, apparently gives priority to economic and financial issues for the approval of projects, to the detriment of the priorities with the quality of the urban environment and housing production. These issues are delegated to small and larger towns, where the PMCMV is realized. Such towns do have the power to make demands of adjustments on the projects, according to their master plans and local regulations. What is found, however, in several towns of São Paulo, is that the projects are usually built in very contradiction to what is expected of a master plan or a democratic urban and housing management, as recommended by the Federal Housing Policies and Plans (PlanHab). This study aims to investigate it, through a case in Araraquara. As we go through a whole process of three PMCMV assemblies for low-income people, we will be able to verify the compliance with the laws and municipal urban guidelines, as well as the urban and social impacts, both for the town and for the population served by the MCMV Programme.

Water is one of the most abundant natural resources on the planet, but at the same time is becoming scarce in both quantity and quality in many regions, causing numerous conflicts. The watershed must be a permeable environment, where water infiltrates the soil and reaches the water table and then can be distributed abundant and continuously. Knowledge of the physical and biological characteristics of the basin influencing the handling and consequently the production of water. This study aimed to characterize the Itanguá watershed to support the management of the National Capão Bonito Forest, SP for conservation of water. This dissertation was divided into chapters: chapter 1 contextualized the issues relevant to this study, in the form of bibliographic review, chapter 2 discussed the hydro-environmental characterization of the basin, chapter 3 identified the vulnerability of Itangua watershed to the floods and the areas to be reforested in the permanent preservation areas, chapter 4 identified the priority areas for soil and water conservation and chapter 5 provides a general conclusion. The first results indicated that 60% of the sources analyzed in situ, were characterized as point while the others were diffuse and according to macroscopic evaluation, 13% of the sources were considered with great, 80% good and 7% with reasonable conservation state. The main negative environmental impacts observed were the presence of both exotic species such as: Boar (Sus scrofa) and Pinus spp. and the absence of native vegetation in the area of permanent preservation. The morphometric analysis showed that the Itanguá watershed is an important site for the conservation of water resources by having more elongated and low tendency to form flooding. Were also found nine different priorities classes of soil conservation practices implementation and six classes for forest restoration in permanent preservation area of waterways. The results provided a characterization of the basin Itanguá and important information, since they contribute to the Flona the management plan of Capão Bonito. All methods used in the study were satisfactory to achieve the proposed purpose.
