    In recent years, increased use of titanium dioxide nanoparticles (TiO 2 NPs) in consumer products and technological devices has raised concerns regarding their environmental impacts and their risks to human health. Ecotoxicological studies have been used as a tool to analyze the toxic potential of TiO 2 NP S in different trophic levels, such as primary producers (algae) and first order consumers (cladocerans). In the present study, the chronic effects of TiO2 NPS on the population growth of the microalgae chlorophycean Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata was evaluated during an exposure period of 96 hours, under conditions of temperature and photoperiod similar to those found in tropical ecosystems. New methods were developed for the separation of the aggregates between the algae cells and TiO2 NPS, whose formation was observed at above 0.01 mg L-1 concentrations after a period of 96 hours’ exposure. The only effective method was the one in which the cells were washed three times with a metal chelator (EDTA), with duration of 1 minute for each wash. In the toxicity chronic test, there was obtained a significant inhibition of algal growth from the concentration of 64 mg L-1 of TiO2 NPs, with a concentration of 50% inhibition of algal cells (96 h - IC50) of 201.22 mg L -1 in 96 h of exposure. Then, it was evaluated the acute effects of exposure by contact and the chronic effects of TiO2 NPs for the cladoceran Ceriodaphnia silvestrii, using contaminated food (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata) as a route of exposure. In acute toxicity tests was obtained the average value of EC50 - 48 h of 77.57 mg L-1. In chronic toxicity tests, it was observed significant differences in survival from the concentration of 0.01 mg L-1, while for the body length, the number of eggs and neonates produced, toxic effects were observed from the concentration of 1 mg L-1. These results indicate that the nano-TiO2 NPS had a deleterious effect on the growth of Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata only at concentrations above those normally found in natural aquatic environments. For the cladoceran Ceriodaphnia silvestrii, the route of dietary exposure indicated a greater toxic effect.

    Recognized by the World Tourism Organization (WTO) as a share of this market, religious tourism provides significant revenue and traffic people, nationally and internationally. Its expansion has come about in Brazil as recognition of their earning potential. It’s results of transition from a phase in which the pilgrimages and festivals did not happen spontaneously and management for the current state of business structuring and training of its staff and services provided. Several factors are intertwined in the development of this market in Brazil, and the government agencies responsible for most of the investments in the sector. They promote infrastructure improvements and incentive programs focused on events and religious attraction poles, thereby providing enhancement of the hotel chain, transport connection, agencies and tour operators. The Catholic Church is mobilizing to that particular field, with its Pastur focused on the dissemination of shrines and religious appeal sites, staff training and strategies that promote the sale of travel and tourism practices packages Dioceses and parishes with potential attraction. This work exposes the one hand, economically enterprising character of the church and on the other, the ambiguity of the Pastur, as the pastoral intended for non-profit activities. Here is the facet of Brazilian Catholicism to which this research is back.

    The strength of the orientation of the primary health care (PHC) depends on the presence and extent of each of its attributes. The APS has four essential attributes – “first contact access”, "longitudinality", “coordination” and “integrality” - and three derived attributes - family orientation, community orientation and cultural competence. The tool used to assess the PHC, called PCAtool - professional version, is capable of measuring the strength of the PHC orientation in the healthcare setting. This paper aims to evaluate the presence and extension of the PHC attributes in the São Carlos-SP’s primary healthcare network. For doing so, we had the participation of several “high educational level” professionals, such as doctors, dentists and nurses, from 12 Basic Health Unities (BHU) and 19 Family Health Unities (FHU) localized in 5 health districts (ARES). The PCAtool - professional version was applied to healthcare professionals in each healthcare unity, making a total of 64 answered forms. Each attribute was evaluated through the arithmetic mean score of its items and then was translated to a 0 to 10 scale. Values above 6.6 are considered high. The results showed that the attributes with better performance were the Family Orientation (8.51), the coordination - Information System (8.07), the integrality - Services provided (7.65), the integrality - Available services (7, 26) longitudinality (7.20), the coordination - integration of care (7,11).The worst performances were for community orientation ( 5.92) and first contact Login ( 4.63) . The attributes "first contact access" and community orientation are the weakest attributes both UBS as the USF. The USF performed significantly better (p value < 0.05) in the attributes access, coordinationinformation system, integrality, community orientation and scale for essential and general attributes. There is need for further studies to better understand the issues involved in the difference between models.

    This work presents the development of a numerical model of a composite connection connecting a composite beam to a concrete filled steel tube column using a through plate. The software Ansys® and finite elements methods were used in the numerical analyses and the model was validated by comparison with experimental results. The main guidelines adopted in the choice of finite elements, material properties and constitutive relationships, boundary conditions and restrains and other aspects of numerical modeling are presented and discussed in this work. The validated numerical model was then used in parametric analysis in which was analyzed the influence of geometric and physical parameters as reinforcement ratio of slab, height of I-steel beam, web thickness of I-steel beam, diameter of the bolts, slab thickness, height of the through plate, concrete compressive strength and steel yield strength. The parameters analyzed revealed direct influence on behavior, especially in terms of moment an initial stiffness. Comparative analysis between all parameters allowed comments on the most influential variables and those that present similar behaviors.
