Item type:Item, A formação de professores/as de arte em educação para as relações étnico-raciais : interrogando os currículos de licenciatura em teatro(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-03-27) ;Reis, Monique Priscila de Abreu ;Rodrigues, Tatiane Cosentino ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/8361431964064731https://lattes.cnpq.br/6493021586914602The research which resulted in this dissertation aimed to understand the manner the University is incorporating the racial-ethnic theme on the curriculums of the Arts degree course, specifically in two Theater degree courses, one from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais and the other one from Universidade Estadual Paulista. This research fall within the wide-ranging debate which has as reference the Law 10.639/2003, attempting to understand how the future teachers of arts are being trained in the racial-ethnic relations and the teaching of Afro-Brazilian History and Culture. The methodology applied was the Grounded Theory and consisted of document and bibliographic research and interviewing researchers of the field and students who were about to finish their course. After the data analysis, important contribution was gathered to think of actions to (re)test and (re)plan the basic training of Theater teachers in such theme, searching for new contents and pedagogical-didactics that come from an ethnocentric education, mainly from a European aspect, and bring a more plural education on which the differences are appreciated, as well as different ways of conceiving and performing theater are contemplated. To that extent, the barrier-breaking between the university and the community shows up, on the data, as a central issue to new perspectives of training teachers.Item type:Item, Humanizar e expandir : uma genealogia da segurança pública em São Paulo(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-03-27) ;Marques, Adalton José ;Villela, Jorge Luiz Mattar ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/8301325600502054https://lattes.cnpq.br/4640452160891026In this thesis, I examine the emergence of a democratic and humanist reasoning in the core of the public security thought, elaborated in São Paulo at the end of the Military Dictatorship. I try to explain how this reasoning, which I call the “triptych public security – democracy – human rights”, has not only made possible but also encouraged the expansion of the penal system (police, judiciary, and penitentiary sections). To do so, I organized the thesis in four chapters that follows this process. In the first chapter, I describe the inception of this democratichumanist concerns, presenting the discursive formations that prevent addressing the problem of criminality without enunciating the problem of marginality (poverty, unemployment, socioeconomic inequality). In the second chapter, I expose the way in which the democratic and humanist government of André Franco Montoro, sustained by these discursive formations, quickly abandoned his agenda of structural transformations for public security, gave way to controversial agenda for police forces (temporary arrest and Operation Pole), and also promoted the quantitative and qualitative expansion of the control institutions that he sought to democratize and humanize. In the third chapter, I examine a discourse line external to the Montoro government, although it continually reinforced it: the Sociology of Violence. Having more time to forge a robust reasoning, the Socioloogy of Violence coined its own theoretical enemy (the notorious thesis of the relationship between poverty and crime) defining methodological rules for research on violent criminality, and erecting the centrality of the institutional problem for democratic policies of public security. Finally, in the fourth chapter, I explained the way in which this democratic and humanist reasoning, made science by the Sociology of Violence, became the guidelines for the Paulista and federal policies of human rights and public security after the Carandiru Massacre. The policy of federalization of human rights, promoted by President FHC and closely followed by his co-religionist in São Paulo, Mário Covas, resulted in the intensification of incarceration and police expansion, mainly the militarized one. President Lula's next federal administration further intensified these policies, adding to them the grammar of citizen participation and creating the Growth Acceleration Program of public security, through which we came to live the apex of punitive developmentalism. Although the diachronic character of this thesis may suggest a historiographical approach to the material analyzed, I must say that it is an anthropologicalgenealogical construct, insofar as I consider the knowledge that has been buried in this process as adequate suspicions against the consolidated narratives.Item type:Item, Propriedades de armazenagem de hidrogênio do intermetálico TiFe processado por moagem de alta energia e laminação a frio sob atmosfera controlada(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-03-27) ;Vega, Luis Esteban Romero ;Ishikawa, Tomaz Toshimi ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/5726055117451807 ;Leiva, Daniel Rodrigohttps://lattes.cnpq.br/6576844591900987TiFe is a material of practical interest for hydrogen storage due to its absorption capacity of ~ 1.9 wt. % H at room temperature and the relative low cost of its constituent elements. However, this intermetallic requires a process of thermal activation to absorb hydrogen, in order to overcome the deleterious effects of the contamination of the material by atmospheric oxygen. Thermal activation processes can be long and complex. In order to avoid them, in this study two processing routes were designed: (1) mechanical alloying to obtain TiFe from the constituent powders, and (2) Cold Rolling under inert atmosphere of the intermetallic TiFe processed by arc melting. In this study, a new processing strategy was investigated: pre-milling Ti and Fe powders with the purpose of preparing superficially the milling vial and then a new milling of these elements in the presence of stearic acid. This strategy generated good material recovery after 2 hours of milling and low oxygen contamination. In addition to that, H-absorption capacities of 0.9; 1.0; 1.1 and 1.2 wt. % H2 (room temperature and 20 bar of H2), were obtained for processing times of 2, 6, 10 and 20 h, respectively, without using a thermal activation process. On the other hand, after cold rolling under inert atmosphere of the intermetallic TiFe processed by arc melting, it was observed a fast absorption of hydrogen (room temperature and 20 bar of H2) without the use of a thermal activation process, obtaining absorption capacities of: 1.4 wt. % H2 in the powder and in the flake after 20 passes and 1.4 wt. % H2 in the powder and 1.3 wt. % H2 in the flake after 40 passes.Item type:Item, Avaliação da resistência à corrosão localizada do alumínio em juntas dissimilares al-ti soldadas por fricção por ponto (FSpW)(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-03-27) ;Vacchi, Guilherme dos Santos ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/8141224513975606 ;Sordi, Vitor Luiz ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/8364164402481940https://lattes.cnpq.br/9208208180440064The work evaluated the effect of the FSpW welding process on the aluminum surface in two overlapping welded joints, AA6181-T4/Ti-6Al-4V and AA5754-H22/Ti-6Al-4V. The microstructural changes were evaluated through optical microscopy (OM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and the mechanical properties were evaluated through Vickers microhardness mapping. The localized corrosion resistance as a function of the welding process was assessed through potentiodynamic polarization tests in a 0.01 M NaCl solution and 0.1 M sodium sulfate (Na2SO4). Additionally, immersion tests in NaCl and H2O2 solution (AA6181-T4) and nitric acid (70%) (AA5754-H22) were conducted to evaluate the resistance to intergranular corrosion. Optical microscopy revealed a recrystallization and recovery process in the heat-affected zone (HAZ) region for the AA5754-H22 alloy and a slight increase in grain size in this region for the AA6181-T4 alloy, resulting from the thermal cycle generated by the welding process. It was possible to observe the occurrence of the dynamic recrystallization process inside both alloys stir zone (SZ) due to the high temperature deformation of FSpW welding. Scanning electron microscopy analysis shows the presence of Al (Fe, Mn, Mg, Si) and Mg2Si precipitates in both alloys, and that the welding process stimulates a breakdown of these precipitates in the SZ. Potentiodynamic polarization analysis show that the corrosion potential (Ecorr) for all welding regions are similar. However, the SZ has nobler pitting potential (Epit) for both alloys. Immersion tests do not reveal the presence of intergranular corrosion in any welded region of the AA5754-H22 alloy, whereas for the AA6181-T4 alloy, presence of a slight corrosive attack on the surface of all welding regions was noted.Item type:Item, Análise da mobilidade, dupla tarefa funcional e quedas em idosos preservados cognitivamente, com comprometimento cognitivo leve e doença de Alzheimer(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-03-28) ;Ansai, Juliana Hotta ;Andrade, Larissa Pires de ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/7334391500340646 ;Rebelatto, José Rubenshttps://lattes.cnpq.br/1684247449456330Introduction: Recent studies reported mobility deficits and higher prevalence of falls in older people with cognitive impairment, even in mild stages of impairment. However, differences in mobility during simple and dual task situations between older people with preserved cognition (PC), mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and Alzheimer’s disease (AD) (mild stage) are still not clear. Sophisticated mobility tools and dual task activities with new, functional and challenging secondary tasks could be effective in identifying subtle motor changes. Moreover, a better understanding about the relationship between cognitive and motor changes and the fall risk factors in older people with MCI and AD could provide new knowledge about the physiopathology of MCI and AD and could help in better planning of screening, prevention and interventions of falls, MCI and AD. Objective: to analyze mobility, functional dual task and falls in older people with PC, MCI and mild AD. Method: The sample was composed by 40 community-dwelling older people with PC, 40 MCI and 38 mild AD. All volunteers performed an assessment, including anamneses, history of falls in the past year, cognition (Addenbrooke’s cognitive Examination-revised version and Frontal Assessment Battery), dual task (Timed up and go test-TUG associated with the motor-cognitive task of calling a phone number) and functional mobility (10-meter walk test and TUG). The TUG phases (sit-to-stand, walking forward, turn, walking back and turn-to-sit) were assessed using a system of movement analysis (Qualisys motion system). Still, the occurrence of falls was collected prospectively in a 6-month follow up using falls calendar and monthly calls in older people with MCI and AD. Sociodemographic and clinical, level of physical activity, functional status, functional mobility, cognitive and depressive variables were analyzed as potential fall risk factors. For statistical analysis, a significance level of α=0.05 was adopted and the SPSS software was used (20.0). Results: Older people with cognitive impairment (MCI and mild AD) presented more falls (retrospective data) compared to people with PC, and specific characteristics (place, consequences) about history of falls between groups were identified. Regarding dual task and 10-meter walk tests, only measures of dual task test distinguished older people with mild AD from PC and MCI and no measure could differ MCI and PC groups. In relation to functional mobility (kinematic data), all TUG phases could differentiate older people with AD from PC, except the sit-to-stand phase. The walking forward phase differed older people with PC from MCI, specifically on range of motion variables during stance phase. The walking back, turn and turn-to-sit phases distinguished older subjects with AD from MCI. Regarding the association between cognitive domains and mobility, different cognitive domains predicted the 10-meter walk test and the isolated cognitive-motor task measures among groups. The visuospatial domain was independently associated with TUG (total time) in MCI and AD groups and with the dual task test in all three groups. No significant associations were found between the walking TUG phases and cognitive domains in any group. However, executive function deficits was associated with impairments of transition TUG phases in the three groups. The visuospatial domain was identified as an independent predictor of turn-to-walk and turn-to-sit measures in the AD Group. During the 6-month follow-up, 52,6% of MCI people and 51,4% of AD people fell at least once. After multivariate analysis, the dual task test and the turn-to-sit phase were able to independently predict falls in older people with MCI and AD, respectively. Conclusion: The dual task test used was able to distinguish older people with AD from PC and MCI. The analysis of transition and also the walking TUGT phases separately is essential in the identification of mobility patterns among cognitive profiles of older people. Still, the findings demonstrate the importance of considering the influence of specific cognitive domains in daily mobility tasks in order to improve rehabilitation and prevention of cognitive and mobility disturbances. The prediction of visuospatial domain on postural transition tasks may provide insight into why people with AD have an elevated fall risk. The modifiable fall risk factors found can be used to detect risk of falls, as well as improving interventions for preventing falls in older adults with MCI and AD, with focus on exercises involving dual task and transition postural activities.Item type:Item, Desenvolvimento de um biossensor amperométrico baseado em uricase oxidase associado com nanopartículas de platina para detecção de ácido úrico(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-03-28) ;Anunciação, Eduardo Almeida ;Ferreira, Marystela ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/4714185516263478https://lattes.cnpq.br/7956749978703153Uric acid is an endogenous substance produced from the metabolism of purines. The concentration of serum uric acid in the human body considered normal is between 0.24 - 0.52 mmol.L-1 . High levels of uric acid in the body lead to a condition known as hyperuricemia. Therefore, the monitoring of uric acid in the body is of great importance. In this work we present amperometric biosensors based on the association of the enzyme UOx with platinum nanoparticles to detect uric acid. The technique used to assemble the films that compose the biosensor was the Layer-by-Layer (LbL). Two techniques were used for the synthesis of nanoparticles for the construction of two different film architectures. In the first architecture, the nanoparticles were deposited in situ on a polyethyleneimine (PEI) and sodium polyvinyl sulfate (PVS) film - by reducing hexachloroplatinic acid hexahydrate with sodium borohydride. The bilayers composed of (PEI/UOx)n were deposited on a film containing platinum nanoparticles deposited in situ. In the second architecture, the nanoparticles were synthesized by mixing PEI solution with hexachloroplatinic acid solution and sodium borohydride solution. This solution was deposited alternating with enzymatic solution. The amperometric analyses were performed at +0.347 V potential, with successive additions of 2 mmol.L-1 of uric acid in an electrochemical cell containing phosphate buffered saline (PBS) pH 7.4. For the first architecture, the limit of detection found by the amperometric method was 5.17 µmol.L-1 with the linear detection range comprised in the range between 3.92 - 11.3 µmol.L-1 . For the second architecture, the limit of detection found by the amperometric method was 4.68 µmol.L-1 with a linear detection range between 14.18 - 55.56 µmol.L-1 . For the same architecture an using the differential pulse voltammetry method the values of limit of detection and linear detection range were 0.11 µmol.L-1 and particles / mL, respectively. The biosensors presented limits of detection close to the values found in the literature for other biosensor proving to be efficient for the detection of uric acid.Item type:Item, A curva catenária como aplicação da função exponencial(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-03-28) ;Mendes, Marlon Freitas ;Peixoto, Magda da Silva ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/0413910306376054https://lattes.cnpq.br/9173807180383279The current study aims to elaborate a didactic sequence to study the catenary curve through the dynamic geometry perspective. Based on their reports, we intend to analyze and discuss these results.Item type:Item, A prática de autolesão em jovens : uma dor a ser analisada(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-03-28) ;Barbosa, Viviane da Silva ;Hortense, Priscilla ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/7153278628783234https://lattes.cnpq.br/9684748097526674Self-harm is an act with a non-letal outcome in which the individual performs one of the following acts: practice of behaviors intended to injure himself; ingestion of an overdose of what has been prescribed or the known therapeutic dose; ingestion of an illicit or recreational drug in an act that the person considers to be a self-harm; ingestion of substances or non-ingestible objects. Due to the variety of behaviors it was decided to investigate only the acts of cutting, burning, hitting, scratching, piercing the skin with sharp objects and poking at the skin to cause injuries. The general objective was to investigate the phenomenon of self-harm based on the meanings attributed to it by young people who experience or experienced it. The specific objectives were to identify the practice and the reasons for self-harm from the experiences of young people, to evaluate the perception of pain in young people who practice or have practiced self-harm, analyze the meanings that these young people attribute to self-harm, propose interpretative hypotheses on the reports of the young who practice or have practiced self-harm based on content analysis freudian psychoanalytic theory. A qualitative research was carried out with semi-structured interviews with young people between 18 and 28 years old who practice or practiced self-harm. Ten interviews were carried out and through content analysis seven categories were identified: "the context of self-harm", "sensations and feelings", "motives", "goal", "associated aspects", "the meanings of pain" and "described experiences". The analysis of the results was based on Freudian theory. The reported experiences related to self-harm seem to have in common the psychic suffering, the difficulties of dealing with this suffering and the need for unloading. Physical pain is cited as different from other situations and seems to contribute to the reported relief when they pratice self-harm. The speeches refer to several issues as losses, mourning, anguish, masochism, suicide/death and life. One can associate self-harm to the challenges of adolescence and the beginning of adulthood, with melancholic experiences related to the reworking of identity and sexual identity. Furthermore, the self-harm appears in the speeches as a substitute to suicide since it provides temporary relief from psychic pain, seemingly unbearable at times. Thus, self-harm appears to be a symptom which expresses intense psychic suffering. From this, further discussion on the subject is important, which should cover parents, teenagers, professionals in education and health, besides the elaboration of prevention and treatment measures.Item type:Item, Representação distrital e coalizões legislativas : o impacto da sobrerrepresentação nas votações no Congresso brasileiro(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-03-28) ;Kauchakje, Samira ;Braga, Maria do Socorro Sousa ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/2311094074614215https://lattes.cnpq.br/0522501979573344This thesis addresses the relationship between mallaportionment and legislative behavior, precisely, the effects of overrepresentation on legislative outcomes, It is well established that overrepresented subnational units benefit disproportionately from resources distributed by the central government. Explanations for this fact are based on a model of legislative bargaining over distributive projects. Therefore, the focus of this investigation is the legislative coalitions. However, this model assumes legislators who are elected in single-member districts, where there is a one-to-one correspondence between the legislator and the district. In these systems, defining the interest of the district is straightforward and the legislator can easily claim credit for defending it. The same is not true in multi-member districts where interests that successfully seek representation are varied and legislators elected from the same district can claim to represent different constituencies. So, the goal of this research is to prove the applicability of the legislative bargaining mechanism in a multi-member district electoral system. The central assumption is that in multi member electoral districts, legislative coalitions cut-across the apportionment cleavage and wash out the impact that overrepresentation might have had under a single-member electoral structure. I test this claim by comparing legislative coalitions in the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies and the Senate between 1989 and 2014 and examined the pattern of transferences of federal funds of the central government to subnational units of the country. While both Brazilian houses are symmetric in their power, elections for the former are based on proportional representation electoral systems in large districts and for the later on majority rules in one or two-member districts. I performed three types of descriptive statistical analyses: voting unit analysis; dyadic analysis and winning coalitions analysis. The results showed that the relation between the higher volume of fiscal transferences and overrepresentation is stronger in the Senate. In turn, it was demonstrated that, although the effects of overrepresentation on the coalitions is also higher in the Senate; in general, the impact of malapportionment in the congress is discreet. Thus, denying the expectations disseminated by the literature, the legislative bargain for distributive projects is not, necessarily, the underlying mechanism to distortion in the discretionary distribution of social resources which favors the overrepresented units.Item type:Item, Gestão de Produção mais Limpa em pequenas empresas: uma proposta metodológica desenvolvida por meio de pesquisa-ação(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-03-28) ;Nunes, José Roberto Rolim ;Silva, João Eduardo Azevedo Ramos da ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/3823047207711289https://lattes.cnpq.br/2520617080497625The main objective of this research is to propose a Cleaner Production (CP) management methodology for small companies. CP can be understood as continual application of a preventive environmental strategy integrated to service, products and process in order to reduce risks to people and environment as well to increase process efficiency. Many companies, in particular the big ones, have adopted CP practices to reduce environment impacts and they have obtained, by extension, economic benefits by waste generation reduction and usage of less quantity of energy, water and materials. Despite its benefits, it is perceived low level of adherence to environmental management based on CP in the group of small companies, which is attributed to several barriers, such as few financial resources, lack of involvement of people and lack of leadership. This research analyzed how to structure the CP actions in a small metallurgical company by using the action research during five years. Data were collected and analyzed by means of participant observation. As main result this study proposes a CP management methodology in small companies composed by a five steps cyclical phase and a meta-phase. The proposed methodology showed to be a feasible way to conduct environment management in the research unit. It was observed that actions of monitoring and promoting CP improvement, prioritization of preventive opportunities and people involvement facilitate the evolution of continuous improvement in the proposed methodology.Item type:Item, Autoria e textualização: humor nos processos de inscrição discursiva na constituição autoral de Tutty Vasques(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-03-28) ;Chagas, Diogo Silva ;Brito, Luiz André Neves de ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/6863292359239733https://lattes.cnpq.br/3055591959988392Joining the theoretical framework of French Line Discourse Analysis, more precisely, to the reflections proposed by Maingueneau and Possenti, this work is developed from the studies on authorship and humour. For Maingueneau (2010), there are three different dimensions in relation to the notion of author: (i) the author-guarantor; (ii) the author-actor and (iii) the author-auctor. Maingueneau (2006; 2010) also uses the concept of paratopic creating, which refers to a development of three instances that forge the authorial construction; the instances are those of inscriber, writer and person. Considering this, Maingueneau (2010) understands that from this creative process emerges an image of author, which may be related to any of those dimensions of author (author-guarantor, author-actor, author-auctor). In addition, this work is developed taking into account what Possenti (2009) proposes as being signs of authorship, a proposal of analysis that understands that authorship can only be understood at a discursive level, by the signs. In relation to humour and humorous texts, we have recourse to the propositions of Raskin (1985) and Possenti (1998; 2013). We understand, in this work, that humour is due to the overlapping of scripts and that, in this overlapping, observable in the textualization, it is possible to observe the signs of authorship in operation. The corpus of this research groups texts from October to December 2014 written by Tutty Vasques for Tutty Humor (Tutty Humour) column on O Estado de S. Paulo newspaper, for the blog Tutty Humor: má notícia é a maior diversão (Tutty Humor: bad news is the biggest fun) on Portal Estadão, and the texts of his Twitter account, @tuttyvasques. The selected texts have similar characteristics: (i) they are mostly concise and (ii) they provoke a humorous effect always related to events which are contemporaneous with their publications. Taking into account the style of the author and the materialization of polemic discourses, the analysis of the corpus intends to show which image of author is emerged in relation to Tutty Vasques.Item type:Item, Caracterização da avifauna em áreas de transição agroecológica no assentamento Ipanema em Iperó-SP(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-03-28) ;Campos, Samara Cristina ;Piratelli, Augusto JoãoFranco, Fernando SilveiraThis work aims to compare the composition and dynamics of birds in agricultural environments in different stages of agroecological transition and environments with conventional planting with the forest areas present in the Ipanema National Forest, located in the city of Iperó-SP. The methodology used was transect sampling by all areas in the early morning or late afternoon, once per month for two hours. Two areas were studied in the Ipanema National Forest and six agricultural areas belonging to the Ipanema settlement, three lots being in the process of agroecological transition, one in the agroecological process, and two lots that use only conventional practices, with the use of pesticides and fertilizers Chemicals. Between April 2015 and February 2016, after 160 hours of sampling, 2403 contacts were recorded (1752 contacts in the settlement lots, 634 in the trails of Flona de Ipanema), which sampled 150 bird species belonging to 43 families. The largest number of species occurred in Flona de Ipanema, on the Pedra Santa trail with 122 species, followed by 72 species in area 6 (agroecological planting) and 51 species on the Afonso Sardinha trail in Flona de Ipanema. The guild that stood out in all areas was the insectivorous, followed by omnivores in most areas. The richness of birds in the agricultural areas did not surpass those belonging to the native forest areas, however, the area with agroecological production, presented a greater wealth and abundance in relation to the other areas analyzed, evidencing that agroecological areas may present greater avifauna diversity, when compared to other types of plantation.Item type:Item, A calmaria dos caminhos tortuosos : construção e método do Trivium medieval(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-03-28) ;Silva, Carlos Henrique da ;Bittar, Marisa ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/3059723520472948https://lattes.cnpq.br/9883641100782984This dissertation is to analyze the construction and teaching method of the three liberal arts (grammar, logic and rhetoric) middle age historically known for Trivium. For this purpose, the dissertation aimed to analyze, at first, historical-philosophical construction of each of the arts that are part of the method, highlighting its main builders and its main sources of study throughout the Middle Ages. In a second step, the study sought to address a specific analysis of the method, highlighting its purpose and its practical functioning as an educational proposal for a historical period. At this stage, we chose to highlight the teaching practice of each of the mentioned arts, as well as its relationship to the organic whole that highlights the method. Finally, the work is a balance between historical and philosophical construction method and its end result as effective proposal for human formation, comprising therefore the dialectical unfolding of methodological construction and its final synthesis.Item type:Item, Efeitos de estímulos emocionais sobre a ocorrência de falsas memórias : investigação por meio do paradigma da equivalência de estímulos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-03-29) ;Pedrosa, Sabrina Campos Dias ;Aggio, Natalia Maria ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/4553599639534161 ;Rose, Julio Cesar Coelho dehttps://lattes.cnpq.br/3386857761295187False memories can be defined as recollections that do not correspond to the facts experienced by subjects. Cognitive research have pointed out that the referred phenomenon is, to some extent, determined by semantic relations among stimuli. Based on these studies, behavior analysts have proposed experimental analogous of false memories using the stimulus equivalence paradigm to establish symbolic relations. The current master’s thesis was composed by one preliminary study and two main studies. The preliminary study aimed to assess the valence and arousal of pictures depicting facial expressions, and to select the meaningful stimuli that were employed on the class formation procedures of Studies 1 and 2. Study 1 aimed to analyze possible effects of emotional stimuli with different valences (positive, neutral and negative) on the occurrence of false memories. For this purpose, a systematic replication of Aggio’s (2014) Study 3, using lists of symbolically related stimuli through the stimulus equivalence paradigm was carried out. The main experimental manipulations of Study 1, in the present thesis, were the control of valence and arousal magnitudes attributed to the emotional stimuli; the use of emotional stimuli in the class formation procedure, which contained the unrelated distracting stimuli; and the randomization of list order presentation. Study 1 was structured in four phases, which encompassed 1) the establishment of six equivalence classes; 2) a false memories test with a memorization task and a recognition test, held one week after the beginning of Phase 1; 3) class merger and maintenance test, and 4) stimuli assessment through a semantic differential. Results showed that the false memories effect, under symbolic control, occurred only in relation to the positive stimuli list. It was hypothesized that the stability of the equivalence classes was an intervening variable. In order to verify the aforementioned hypothesis and search for new evidences regarding the effects of emotional valence on the establishment of false memories, a second study was proposed. The Study 2 had the same procedure as Study 1, with the exception of two changes: the reduction of the time interval employed between the first and the second phase, and the insertion of baseline review blocks of the six equivalence classes before the false memories test. These changes were adopted in order to increase the probability that the equivalence relations were stable and strengthened at the moment of the false memories test. Results showed the occurrence of the false memories effect in positive and neutral lists. These results suggest that stimuli with negative emotional valence can reduce the probability of false memories occurrence.Item type:Item, Crenças, experiências e ações de professores de inglês (LE) de um Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-03-29) ;Fernandes, Fabrício Ademar ;Barbosa, Lúcia Maria de Assunção ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/5030878430187815https://lattes.cnpq.br/4190497380890411The main objective of this research was to identify, understand and analyze the beliefs, experiences and actions (pedagogical practice) of English teachers who teach in technical courses of an Education, Science and Technology Federal Institute (FI), and guide to the improvement of the English learning-teaching process directed at professional formation programs offered by these institutions (or by others with similar profile). In this sense, we sought to identify and analyze the beliefs, experiences and actions of the participants regarding the specific aspects related to English learning-teaching, such as the student, the teacher, the third parties, the materials and the evaluations, by means of semi-structured interviews, self-reports and class observations, respectively. The guidance proposed by the participants were also surveyed by means of a semi-structured interview. For the collection and analyses of the data, we adopted a qualitative approach. Three case studies were conducted with the foreign language teachers of a FI. The data obtained during the year of 2016 were analyzed based on the Contextual Approach for studying the beliefs, and on the theoretical suppositions regarding the experiences and pedagogy of the post-method. The results point to the fact that the experiences, beliefs and actions of the teachers influence each other in a non-linear manner, in a more complex manner. In addition, it was possible to survey microstrategies for the learning-teaching of languages for the contexts of technical formation at a middle level, which meet the suppositions of a post-method pedagogy.Item type:Item, PSOL - Relação da origem no desenvolvimento de sua organização, participação eleitoral e atuação parlamentar(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-03-29) ;Oliveira, Heythor Santana de ;Braga, Maria do Socorro Sousa ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/2311094074614215https://lattes.cnpq.br/4737460080171505The present dissertation aims to analyze the relationship between the organizational structure of the Partido do Socialismo e Liberdade (PSOL) and its characteristics. It starts from the premise that the origin of the party focuses directly on the format and organizational aspects that will build it. It seeks to identify the influence of genetic elements of the PSOL, which is born of a kind of internal rupture of Partido dos Trabalhadores (PT) parliamentarians, both in its development and in its political orientation. The específical hypothesis that there is a concentration of power in the party (parliamentary) and organizational arena of the party, in which the elective parliamentarians decide by the caption. Complements the organizational analysis complements the examination of the performance levels of the PSOL and the identification of ideological elements in its parliamentary action with the objective of exploring aspects originating from the party in its development.Item type:Item, Gerações militantes : bases partidárias Petistas e Tucanas em São Paulo.(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-03-29) ;Locatelli, Luís Gustavo Bruno ;Ribeiro, Pedro José Floriano ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/6336151484882362https://lattes.cnpq.br/6703438431534474This research investigates the current militant frame of the PT and PSDB in Sao Paulo state, comparing them at different moments of their party path: youth and adult militancy – emphasizing the dimension "party on the ground face”. The research aims to fill two gaps of the current literature: first, contribute to the understanding of the profile and to the content of the performance of affiliated people in political parties; second, determine what are the impacts of generational changes in the Brazilian democracy, particularly in relations between young people and democratic institutions, specifically the man effects on internal life of the Sao Paulo's political parties. For this objective, we compared two surveys: one with young militants (respondents with a means age of 24 years) and another with adults (mean age 44 years) and the data obtained at Electoral Court (TSE) regarding the age groups of the members (2008 to 2016) and the age of entry of active members in 2014. The main findings are: aging tendency of both party memberships; disparity of civic resources of members and young members’ vis-à-vis the electorate; predominance of the mobilization by the collective incentives in both surveys. In addition, the relevant impacts of belief systems and internal rules at different levels of mobilization.Item type:Item, Programas de intervenção precoce: caracterização e análise das pesquisas no contexto brasileiro(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-03-29) ;Candido, Ana Regina Lucato Sigolo ;Aiello, Ana Lúcia Rossito ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/7544189440874179https://lattes.cnpq.br/2474882255218417This research encompass two studies. The objectives of Study A composed by two steps: Stage 1- In the period of 10 years (2005 – 2014), identify and analyze theses and dissertations produced in Brazilian graduate program with objective of development proposal of Early Intervention Programs for children's development were identified and analyzed to seek main variables studied; and Stage 2: - The proposals of Early Intervention Programs developed that identified in previous stage were characterized and assessed. The Study B described evaluations of Early Intervention Programs after the event of researchers responsible for proposal and execution, as well as continuity of work after conclusion of research. The Study A based on data from the Theses and Dissertations Bank of Brazilian Digital Library (BDTD), whose search descriptors were: early attention, early stimulation, essential stimulation, child stimulation, child development stimulation, early intervention, development surveillance and screening of development. According to two independent judges with pre-defined criteria of inclusion and exclusion, this Study analyzed 25 cases integrally. In step 1, the protocol "Early Intervention Programs Characterization" (PIP) used to systematize information about participants, methodological considerations, intervention characteristics, studied variables, results, limitations and future studies, whose results indicated a predominance of indirect PIPs (13/25) that worked with training and formation of mediators. The presence of children in the PIP varied between forms of individual participation and groups. The mediators of the mixed intervention studies, who participated in PIP, along with children, were mainly parents / guardians. The categories of limitations and / or risks for development: Prevention, Risk and Disability, with a higher incidence of studies in category of Risks. Only one research used an equal control group design and follow-up evaluation was presented in three studies. Ten programs concurred with traditional paradigm and new paradigm, only one study presented characteristics of New Paradigm and the Family-Centered Model. The contexts in which interventions carried out were residences, kindergartens and university. Indirect interventions had a longer duration when compared to direct interventions. The target behaviors / abilities of intervention related to child development and parental and professional training. The results mostly evaluated as positive regardless of intervention type performed. Only three studies indicated non-effective results. 14 studies indicated limitations regarding both research design / procedure and intervention program. Questions raised for future research on methodology, such as longitudinal studies, extension of intervention, extension of sample searched and higher frequency of evaluations. Family demands related to parental / caregiver adherence to intervention programs, parents / child bonding and family / school relationship, and in professional context, knowledge about health surveillance and development surveillance was highlighted. In step 2, the protocol "Evaluation of Early Intervention Programs" (adapted from Mendes, 2010) used to analyze the programs within the community, family, child and intervention program, whose results indicated that community level, 14 studies did not indicate referral procedures, used voluntary or convenience samples. The eligibility criteria for PIPs quite diverse; 18 studies did not mention screening procedures for participation in program; information to families generally provided at beginning of program and it is also possible to inform that IPPs more directed to interests of researchers than to real needs of population. At the family level it can be verified that host interview and presentation the PIP were more frequent than actions that involved planning of support to families. At children's level, studies focused on social life and child autonomy. At PIP level, they showed more frequently performance of a single professional, without specific training; with activity plans that presented some information gaps such as: objectives, materials, teaching and registration procedures; few revisions in intervention proposals observed, with main concern in effectiveness of programs, whose evaluations based on non-standardized instruments. In the Step 1 results indicated that there was indirect predominance of PIPs (13/25) that worked with training, mediator development. The presence of children in PIP varied between individual forms participation and groups. Mediators of mixed intervention Studies, who participated in PIP, along with the children, were mainly the parents / guardians. Limitations and / or risks for development had been categorized: Prevention, Risk and Disability, with a higher incidence of studies in the category of Risks. Just one research used control group design and follow-up assessment presented by three Studies. Ten programs concomitantly met traditional paradigm and new paradigm, just one study presented characteristics of New Paradigm and the Family-Centered Model. The interventions carried out in residences, kindergartens and university. Indirect interventions had a longer duration when compared to direct interventions. The target behaviors / skills of intervention related to child development and parental and professional development. Independent of type of intervention performed, the results mostly evaluated as positive. Only three research indicated non-effective results. 14 studies indicated relative limitations to research design / procedure and intervention program. For future research, questions relating to methodology was highlighted, such as longitudinal studies, extension of intervention, extension of sample surveyed, higher frequency of evaluations. In family context, demands referred to participation of parents / caregivers in intervention programs, parents / child bond and family / school relationship, and in professional scope, knowledge about surveillance of development and health / education integration highlighted. Step 2 results indicated that in 14 studies there were no referral procedures in community analyzes level whose samples were voluntary or convenience; diversified eligibility criteria for PIPs; 18 studies no mention screening procedures for participation in the program; information had been provided in beginning of program for family; it is possible inform that PIPs more directed to researchers interests than real needs of population. In family level, it can verify that foster interview and PIP presentation were more frequent than actions with planning of support to families. In children's level, the studies focused on social life and children's autonomy. In PIP level emphasized more frequently performance of single professional, without specific qualification; activity plans with some gaps information such as: objectives, materials, teaching and registration procedures; few revisions in intervention proposals were observed, with main concern in effectiveness of programs, whose evaluations were based on non-standardized instruments. Study B analyzed posteriori assessment of researchers responsible for proposing and executing the Early Intervention Programs, as well as their continuity after their conclusion. Ten researchers answered a questionnaire with following topics: validity period, institutional support, concomitance between closure of research and program, and assessment of program regarding objectives / focus of intervention, screening procedures and evaluation procedures, family participation, engaged professionals, child development and results obtained vs expected. The results had been indicated that programs lasted up to 12 months; six of them had financial support; closure of the programs occurred concurrently in eight of them; it were positively evaluated by their proponents; it presented questions to be improved regarding theoretical reference, organization and planning of actions to be developed. It can indicate that research involving early intervention presented are important initiatives to deal to early stimulation in children with different risk factors and / or disabilities and producing knowledge in Brazilian context.Item type:Item, Apoio Institucional : dispositivo para mudança de práticas e fortalecimento das redes de atenção em saúde(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-03-29) ;Braga, Denise Aparecida ;Feliciano, Adriana Barbieri ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/9398810638733882https://lattes.cnpq.br/4920218534609702SUS (Portuguese acronym for Unique Health System) is a political and organizational formulation for the reorganization of health services and actions, guided by the principles of universality, equity and integrality, but since its creation, it has faced major challenges for its effective consolidation and implementation. In order to meet the health needs of the population, services must be organized in a network based on Basic Attention to access levels of greater complexity. In the search for favorable transformations for the qualification of care, institutional support emerges as a device capable of strengthening the spaces of attention, aiming to modify the forms of health planning and management. The support arises through the need to review the processes of production of care, with the valuation of the subjects involved and the achievement of more democratic ways of doing health. Thus, the present study sought to analyze the practices of institutional support as a device for strengthening health care networks, based on the perceptions of supporters and workers considering the potentialities, challenges and strategies used in the support function. The research was drawn from a qualitative approach, in the form of an exploratory-descriptive case study. For this, the focal group technique was used with supporters as well as workers of supported team who met the selection criteria. Thematic categorical content analysis technique was used for the systematization of the material produced. The research findings point to the need to bond the supporters with the teams to be supported, as well as an adequate time for insertion into the routine of services, to produce organized collectives aimed at new forms of work management. They also indicate the need for appropriation of strategies and tools for the support function, however, in addition to those established in the literature, others can be constructed in the act, in the practice of actions. Moreover, they point out challenges that must be considered and put into analysis, especially those related to hegemonic and vertical managerial issues, in search of transformations of management and attention practices in a proposal to foster co-management, to promote the production of collectives and the autonomy of the subjects Involved with health care.Item type:Item, Determinantes da adoção de irrigação por citricultores da região centro-norte do Estado de São Paulo(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-03-30) ;Rossi, Fabiana Ribeiro ;Souza Filho, Hildo Meirelles de ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/3740950346967524https://lattes.cnpq.br/3203702000103304The orange activity of the State of Sao Paulo is very important for the Brazilian economy due mainly to job creation and for the expressive participation of the orange juice in national exports. In spite of the major growth and the economic stability faced by the Sao Paulo´s Citrus Agro industrial Complex during its consolidation in the mid-1980s, the last 25 years were marked by an economic environment very unfavorable to the orange growers, resulting in the loss of their profitability and the exodus of many producers from the orange production activity. One possible solution is a technological change in the orange orchards, leading to an increase in their productivity reducing the production costs per area. Thus, the producers’ incomes can raise or at least stabilize. Irrigation has been pointed out in the literature as an agricultural technology capable of providing several benefits to orange orchards, from the desired increase in productivity to improvements in fruit quality. However, this technology is still not widespread in the orange orchards of São Paulo. This thesis identify and analyse the determinants of the adoption of irrigation in the orange orchards of São Paulo, using a representative sample of 98 orange growers located in the center-north region of the state. The orange growers of the sample were interviewed using a semi-structured questionnaire and the primary data were analyzed by means of descriptive statistics, hypothesis test and double-hurdle econometric models. According to the results the participation in irrigation courses and in farmers associations, the higher soil fertility of the orange farms, the high dependence on the orange production activity, the use of sophisticated management tools and the access to rural credit affect positively and significantly the adoption of irrigation. On the other hand, the use of contracts in the sale of orange reduces the probability of adoption of irrigation in the orange orchards, since the orange farmers who irrigates sell their production, mostly, to the fresh fruit market through the use of spot market mechanism. Among the orange farmers who irrigates, those who use irrigation in a larger part of the orange area participate in irrigation courses, are very dependent on the orange activity, have a productive structure with less orange varieties, denser orchards, and properties with soils of low fertility. For these producers, the sale of the orange production is mainly done through the use of contracts with the processing industry. This mechanism can promote the necessary safety to intensify the use of irrigation in the properties.
