Item type:Item, Irrigação subsuperficial deficitária no cultivo de tomateiro em casa de vegetação(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-04-17) ;Mendonça, Thaís Grandizoli ;Boschi, Raquel Stucchi ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/5774095142035730 ;Souza, Claudinei Fonsecahttps://lattes.cnpq.br/4858219292242433The tomato is a demanding crop in regards to water and is among the most consumed vegetables in Brazil. The search for alternatives to improve tomato productivity, as well as reduce the water use in the crop cycle, is essential for agricultural production and environment. The objectives of this work were to evaluate the contribution of subsurface drip irrigation to yield and fruit quality of Grape tomatoes and to estimate the water use efficiency (EUA). The experiment was carried out in the CCA / UFSCar and consisted of three treatments with four randomized blocks. Irrigation management considered the storage soil water capacity (CAD), the soil moisture being high according to the water content reference of the treatment, 0.33 (T1), 0.29 (T2) and 0.25 m3 m-3 (T3), corresponding to 100 % replacement of CAD, and deficit irrigations of 75 and 50 % of CAD, respectively. Water content was monitored by TDR probes and the roots depth obtained through a root images scanner. The Grape tomatoes were transplanted under drip lines installed at 0.20 m depth. Quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the fruits were evaluated in relation to the proposed treatments, being: fruits number per plant, average fruit mass and productivity, quantitative characteristics and; Diameter, length, soluble solids, fruit pH and dry mass of leaves and stem, qualitative characteristics. The total water applied was 1297 mm in T1, 471 mm in T2 (36 % of water applied in T1) and 234 mm in T3 (18 % of T1). Among the characteristics evaluated, the T2 did not differ from the T1 treatment, except in the diameter and pH. The T3 treatment was equal to T1 only in the fruits number per plant. The average fruit mass was different among all treatments and there was no difference between soluble solids values. The T3 treatment obtained higher EUA, followed by T2 and T1, but did not have higher productivity nor better results in other evaluated attributes. Deficit subsurface irrigation of 75 % of CAD did not interfere in Grape tomato productivity and fruit quality, being the most recommended because of qualitative and quantitative attributes similar to full irrigation and to increase the EUA. It is concluded that deficit subsurface irrigation had productivity and fruit quality of Grape tomatoes like full irrigation when used 75 % of CAD, increased the water use efficiency and contributed with water use reduction in crop cycle.Item type:Item, Inclusão de diversidade em consultas aos vizinhos mais próximos usando descritores distintos para similaridade e diversidade(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-04-18) ;Cardoso, Ana Claudia ;Bueno, Renato ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/7189857417959804https://lattes.cnpq.br/3010740496718338One of the ways to recover images in a database is through similarity queries. Using characteristics extracted from these images, such as color, shape or texture, this work seeks to identify similarities to a central query element. However, the results may be very similar to each other, which is not always the expected result. In addition to the redundancy in the results, the problem of the ’semantic gap’, which is a divergence in the evaluation of similarity between images performed by the computer considering its numerical representation (low level characteristics) and the human perception about the image (high level characteristics). In order to improve the quality of the results, we sought to minimize the issue of redundancy and the ’semantic gap’ through the use of more than one descriptor in queries for similarity. We sought to explore the inclusion of diversity using one descriptor to treat similarity and another descriptor to treat diversity, more generally a metric space for similarity and another for diversity. For the implementation of the query by similarity was used the consultation to several neighbors closer. Considering that the descriptors may be distinct and one of them may have greater numerical representativeness, it was necessary to do the normalization, considering the methods of normalization by the greater distance and normalization by the greater approximate distance with balancing by the intrinsic dimension. An exhaustive search algorithm was used to perform the tests. The experiments were carried out in a classified database. To evaluate the semantic quality of the results, a measure was proposed that evaluates the inclusion of diversity considering the diversity present in the query only considering the similarity and the maximum diversity that can be included. A comparison was made between the result obtained and the considered ideal, which refers to the value of l defined by the user himself. By comparing the results obtained with the results obtained in the queries for a single descriptor, the evaluation of the included diversity followed the trend of l, which allows to say that normalization and balancing is necessary. In addition, it is intended in the future to study new ways of normalizing.Item type:Item, Qualidade microbiológica, físico-química, instrumental e sensorial de marcas de açúcares mascavo(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-04-19) ;Silva, Rodrigo França da ;Verruma-Bernardi, Marta Regina ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/3470912236544684https://lattes.cnpq.br/6811323057959894The present work aimed to evaluate the microbiological, physical-chemical, instrumental and sensory quality of brown sugar brands in order to produce data on the identity of this product. We analyzed 15 brands, obtained in supermarkets and stores of integral products of the region of Araras - SP. For microbiological analysis, the aim was to analyze the mesophilic bacteria, molds and yeasts, as well as Salmonella and total coliforms. It was also evaluated aspects of moisture and water activity, as well as polarization, ashes, reducing sugars, total reducing sugars and pH. We also sought to evaluate the preference and difference terms of the brands, using the sensorial analysis. Four of the brands studied were above international standards for mesophilic bacteria. All brands show compliance how much total coliforms and Salmonella evaluated. The analyzes of moisture and water activity ranged from 0.74 to 4.36%, and from 0.55 to 0.72, respectively. In terms of polarization the marks varied from 84.00 to 96.50 ° S, for ash the variation was between 0.33 and 2.65%, in relation to the reducing sugars the values were between 4.90 and 6.00 and From 5.50 to 8.40 for pH. For total reducing sugars, a change from 75.38 to 92.30% was observed. After analysis, the results indicated that the brands differed in the majority of the sensorial attributes studied, as well as a greater tendency in preference for the brand that presented characteristics aimed at a lighter coloration, less moist appearance and a more granular texture. Studies with these characteristics present themselves in a relevant way, as it characterizes the product in the search for real standardization, bringing information to both consumers and producers, thus moving towards product identity.Item type:Item, Invariantes de germes de aplicações(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-04-19) ;Ament, Daiane Alice Henrique ;Nuño Ballesteros, Juan José ;Tomazella, João Nivaldo ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/0051564735964760https://lattes.cnpq.br/0444070739009629In this work, we show relations between invariants of map germs. First, we consider an analytic function germ f : (X, 0) —(C, 0) on an isolated determinantal singularity and we present a relation between the Euler obstruction of f and the determinantal Milnor number of f. In the particular case where (X, 0) is an isolated complete intersection singularity, we obtain a simple way to calculate the Euler obstruction of f as the difference between the dimension of two algebras. After, we work with map germs f : (X, 0) —— (C2, 0), where (X, 0) is a plane curve with isolated singularity. We introduce the image Milnor number to these map germs and we present a positive answer to the Mond’s conjecture in this context. The Mond’s conjecture proposes an inequality between two other invariants, the A^-codimension and the image Milnor number, in the case of map germs f : (Cn, 0) —(Cn+1, 0) when the dimensions (n,n + 1) is in Mather’s nice dimensions. The conjecture is true for n = 1, 2, and for the cases n > 3 is an open problem.Item type:Item, Avaliação e caracterização de lignina em biomassa de Citrus sinensis L. Osberck(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-04-20) ;Porto, Deyvid de Souza ;Silva, Maria Fátima das Graças Fernandes da ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/0457632122660653https://lattes.cnpq.br/2541704960428633The large production of citrus residue has promoted problems in its processing and cultivation, resulting in biomass storage and environment pollution. It is estimated that 94 million tons of citrus are produced worldwide and 15.6 million residues are generated per year. Brazil has an important participation, due to the country is a world leader in the production of fruit and orange juice. Citrus biomass presents an extensive chemical diversity such as pectin, d-limonene, flavonoids and lignin, being an interesting object of study. Structural polymer present in the plant cell wall, the lignin has been used in phenolic resins, bioplastics and nanoencapsulation, for example. The fact that lignin presents as a valuable renewable raw material for the Brazilian chemical industry, the large amount of stored orange wood and the scarce literature about lignin in Citrus sinenses motived the present study. The study consisted in extracting lignin from stem, central root and secondary root from orange tree, using the TAPPI standard method, characterize lignin by Infrared (IR), Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), Elemental Analysis and Termical Analysis. The lignin contents for extractive-free orange samples were 19.80 % in the stem, 21.74% in the central root, 19.39% in the secondary root and 1,13% in the orange bagasse. The greatest amount of lignin in the orange tree was found in central root, responsible for the support of the structure of the plant, following the secondary root and the stem. The lignins from the different portions of the orange tree wood extraction by TAPPI T264 cm-97, presented low solubility in organic solvents, due to their compaction and folding that was confirmed by 13CNMR in solid state, DSC and TGA. The IR and NMR confirmed the characteristic lignin bands and the siryngil (1326 and 1115 cm-1) and guiacyl (1220 cm-1) monomers, which are found in hardwood type. Holocellulose contents found for samples of Orange bagasse (70.10%), stem (77.82%), central root (78.86) and secondary root (76.66%) extractive-free presented the expected content. The lignins from stem, central and secondary roots of orange tree wood obtained by alkaline pulping were soluble in organic solvent, as well as characteristic lignin signals for IV and NMR. The average yield between 20-24%, the solubility and the characteristics found in the MEV analysis of lignins obtained by alkaline pulping, are of interest for aplication these polymer in the encapsulation of substances and in Thermosets Composite.Item type:Item, Repercussões biopsicossociais de uma capacitação em atividades físicas em uma Unidade de Saúde da Família de São Carlos / SP(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-04-20) ;Melinski, Anita de Cássia ;Duarte, Ana Cláudia Garcia de Oliveira ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/1996950253264696https://lattes.cnpq.br/6957331799444487The Family Health Strategy (ESF) aims to change the assistance standard, which is marked by curative actions, to a new way to offer care with emphasis in health promotion and prevention. However, physical activity, which is an essential component of these actions, is not always a common knowledge among the minimum ESF team. Therefore, with the implementation of the Support Nucleus to the Family Health Strategy, the Physical Education professional start to play a relevant role in general health practices, who is indicated to be present in the support team to the Family Health Unity (USF). This professional would provide the support to physical activity practices (PCAF), including for the other members of the team, since workplace expose the professionals to high levels of stress, which may affect negatively their performance. Nevertheless, until the present moment, literature regarding the long-term repercussions of an educational training to USF professionals were not found. The aim of this study was to analyse the three-year repercussions of physical-activity educational training offered to several professionals by a physical education professional in aspects related to physical activity in health and affectivity among professionals in an USF. This was a exploratory qualitative study. Nine USF professionals who had participated in a physical activity educational training were selected through multiple-types deliberated sampling. Semi-structured interviews were conducted three years after the end of the educational training. Content analysis was used to interpret the data, supported by caring the carer theoretical referential, which allowed the identification and comprehension of the repercussions due to the educational training. Professional health (physical, psychological and physiological) and affectivity (team union) were identified repercussions. The educational training conducted by a Physical Education professional lead to health and affectivity repercussions in professionals even after three years of the end of the proposal.Item type:Item, Compósitos nanoestruturados baseados em polímero condutor/cerâmica como plataforma sensorial para detecção de gás amônia(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-04-20) ;Andre, Rafaela da Silveira ;Mattoso, Luiz Henrique Capparelli ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/5839043594908917https://lattes.cnpq.br/4843978824084924The development of novel nanostructured platforms for application as gas sensor has intensified over the last few decades. In this scenario, it is worth mentioning the importance of monitoring ammonia gas in poultry farms. Such environments are rich in ammonia, carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, and organic matter arising from the poultry waste decomposition, which remain in the air as bioaerosol. Ammonia, which is produced by the microbial degradation of uric acid present in the poultry waste, causes significant economic losses to poultry farmers and is harmful to the workers. Although some studies found in the literature present sensors capable to detect low concentrations of ammonia, it is still necessary to optimize these devices in order to improve their performance in terms of the sensitivity, limit of detection (LOD) and reliability. Thus, the present thesis aims to contribute to the development of sensors with high sensitivity and low LOD for detecting ammonia through the study of different nanostructured platforms. Zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles were obtained through the optimization of the synthesis and treatment parameters using conventional hydrothermal method, while polymeric nanofibers were produced by electrospinning technique. Both techniques allowed to produce nanostructured platforms by a combination of ZnO nanoparticles and conjugated polymers in the form of fibers, film and coating architecture. The sensitivity and performance of such platforms were evaluated against different concentrations of ammonia aiming to understand the heterojunction influence among the materials on the performance of the platforms as an ammonia sensor at room temperature. Both the ZnO nanoparticles and the composite platforms developed in this work had their structural, morphological and electrical properties studied in detail. Synthesis parameters as well as the platforms deposition parameters were optimized for attaining superior electrical and morphological properties that improved the sensor performance regarding ammonia detection. Sensing tests were carried out against different concentrations of ammonia under controlled atmosphere confirming the best performance of the composite materials when compared to their constituents separately. In this context, the influence of the platform composition, as well as materials structural conformation were evaluated to help to understand the electrical properties and detection mechanisms.Item type:Item, Rastros e memórias : etnografia dos vaqueiros do sertão (Floresta – PE)(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-04-20) ;Pereira, Renan Martins ;Villela, Jorge Luiz Mattar ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/8301325600502054https://lattes.cnpq.br/1014932306220496This dissertation is about the vaqueiros (cowboys) of the municipality of Floresta, sertão of Pernambuco (hinterland), Brazilian northeast, where I conducted my fieldwork from February to May 2016. It is an ethnography about the disputed position of being a vaqueiro, since perspectives that, far from considering it an historical resistance, covered by regionalism and traditionalism, demonstrate the ways in which, nowadays, many vaqueiros are vaqueiros without being true. It means to say that not everyone is in fact vaqueiros, vaqueiros mesmo, in other words, the real ones. In the face of these contradictions and evaluations, I divided the ethnography into three chapters. In the first, I bring a methodological discussion about how my friends characterized what should be, according to them, my analytical object par excellence. In this case, the real cowboy, original and authentic. Afterward, I will discuss some local strategies whose proposal is to turn the category vaqueiro in something essential. Then, I will see how it simultaneously multiply the same category in unexpected ways, in ways that couldn’t one day be imagined. For this reason, the second chapter analyzes how some interlocutors specifically innovate their relationships with the herd, the drought and the past. In the third and last, memory became the central theme of the discussion. According to my arguments, being a vaqueiro gains new senses in the present, taking into account the knowledge of wise storytellers, whose memories glorify them as more cowboys than others, because they lived in old times, the revered past. At the end of the same chapter, it is the human-animal relationships that gain prominence, in the context of the pegas de boi no mato or vaquejada. My contribution is that, in addition to being disputed and prestigious, being a vaqueiro is also an inventive and procedural position. In this sense, the category in question gains a plastic nature in my ethnographic analysis, whose proposal is to understand that there isn’t only the prospect of the end – that the vaqueiros are disappearing or being transformed into something other than the masters of ancient times – but also the actual perspectives of some cowboys who, in turn, do not consider themselves deserters of what they conventionally call tradition, understood as the resource of memory in which are drawn the traits that equate, and at the same time, differentiate all of them from whom is more true, given the uncertainties of being a vaqueiro in the future.Item type:Item, Diversidade de invertebrados terrestres em cavernas areníticas do estado de São Paulo, com ênfase em Pseudonannolenidae (Diplopoda : spirostreptida)(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-04-25) ;Gallo, Jéssica Scaglione ;Bichuette, Maria Elina ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/8453043393798516https://lattes.cnpq.br/4426116556359881The subterranean fauna from Brazil is the best studied in South America, and most of the publications come from caves in limestone rocks. However, the national territory also includes areas of quartzite rocks, sandstone, granite and iron ore with great speleological potential. Thus, the present study aimed to describe the faunistic composition of arenitic caves in the municipality of Altinópolis state of São Paulo state. We found 131 morphospecies, most of them belonging to Class Insecta (89 morphospecies) and Class Arachnida (31 morphospecies). This fauna corresponds with the fauna found in previous studies in this region and in other studies in the same lithology. The fauna is composed mainly of spiders (Pholcidae, Ctenidae and Sicariidae families), and their possible prey as cockroaches (Blattaria), crickets (Orthoptera), mosquitoes (Diptera), beetles larvae (Coleoptera) and moths (Lepidoptera). In the light reaction tests, the eight taxa studied were significantly photonegative for all light intensities (150, 500 and 1000 lux). Photophobia can be considered a plesiomorphic character state for the group, which is related apparently to the eye patterns (number of ommatidia and ocular area). The Pseudonannolene population from Olho de Cabra cave had low population densities on the four monitoring occasions, with the individuals found mostly in the twilight and aphotic cave zones. The low population density can be attributed to the low concentration of calcium in the soil of the region and, consequently, inside the cave. The effect of seasonality was marginally significant, probably due to the low population density, which may be a consequence of the stress caused by the atypical drought of the last years (2013 and 2014), so that this population is still reestablishing itself. Studies that approach the diversity and biological aspects (e. g. population and behavior) are important to determine relevance of the cave for conservatiom purposes. The present study contributes to the knowledge of the diversity of the subterranean fauna from Altinópolis, and approach the phototactic behavior and population ecology of the subterranean millipede Pseudonannolene never studied before.Item type:Item, Há saídas? As saídas. Pelos caminhos dos cotidianos das vidas de adolescentes após cumprimento de medida socioeducativa em meio fechado(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-04-25) ;Faria, Caroline Beier ;Malfitano, Ana Paula Serrata ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/1462870858750395https://lattes.cnpq.br/5456216050911047Poor childhood and adolescence has undergone a social stigmatization process taking a cultural imaginary status as “dangerous” and “violent”. Brazilian Government has developed controlling and contention tools as a response to the involvement of adolescents in infractions. The Statute of the Child and Adolescent (Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente – ECA) has made it possible to give these tools a punitive formal profile, in the juridical text, working on socioeducation, and blaming the adolescents, families, and society. Within this context, the present study aimed to know the expectations from juveniles regarding the process of quitting the internment, as well as learning how its routine goes on. The study was at two foundations where the appropriate socioeducational matters of privation of liberty were performed, in two different states of Brazil, being one in a medium-size city, and the other in a metropolis. Thus, during the first stage, 22 workshops meetings were carried out with 59 adolescents, aiming to know their expectations regarding quitting the foundation, and they were also invited to take part into the second stage. Nine semi-structured interviews were also done with technicians involved in their follow-up, focusing on strategies used to plan their reintroduction to the community. In the second stage, territorial follow-ups were performed, for four months, with four adolescents who were interned in socioeducational privacy of liberty in one of the cities mentioned before, aiming to understand how their return to the community was. By using the data obtained from the foundations, and together with the teenagers in their communities, we were able to understand that those adolescents were subordinate to criminal subjection social process, by creating the social expectation which bonds them to the identity of criminals, highly highlighting them to the possibility of communal bonding. It was concluded that besides the strong tagging of this process, and the exclusion from the daily life they face, since their internment the adolescents aim to build resistance and life spaces in their routines.Item type:Item, Intervenção comportamental para mulheres com fibromialgia e má qualidade do sono ou insônia(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-04-25) ;Kirchner, Luziane de Fátima ;Reis, Maria de Jesus Dutra dos ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/8868678989340770https://lattes.cnpq.br/0910442125365295The present thesis is described in research papers format, whose development is justified by literature review, phase of intervention tests to improve the plans of data collection and data collection itself. PROPOSAL 1 (Literature review) composes paper 1 and along with paper 2 present the synthesis of the analyzed variables, evaluation and intervention forms and the main results of cognitive-behavioral intervention studies on people with chronic pain, whose results helped in the conduction of the following studies. PROPOSAL 2 (Pilot study) presents a study aimed at women with fibromyalgia (FM) and poor sleep quality, whose research design allowed to evaluate: the effects of a brief behavioral intervention for pain and sleep combined with a relaxation training, and the isolated effect of relaxation training, both compared to the control group without intervention (paper 3) and the effect and order of application of the two components (pain and sleep management) of this intervention (paper 4). And, PROPOSAL 3 (Data collection) corresponds to the study conducted to women with FM and insomnia, from Multiple Baseline Design with withdrawal of the intervention and pre and post test evaluations, which was split in two articles: one of them evaluated the effect of two components of a behavioral intervention for pain management (1 - management of the physical environment conditions and 2 - interpersonal relationship management), on pain and sleep indicators (paper 5), and the other evaluated the effect of this intervention on other health indicators, besides clinical significance and reliable change (paper 6). Direct self-report and self-registration measures for pain and/or sleep assessment were considered in all intervention studies. Data showed that the brief analytical-behavioral intervention (pilot study) for pain and sleep had an impact on reducing the intensity and incapacity of pain and anxiety, and the intervention for pain (data collection itself) had an impact both on pain and sleep, anxiety, depression, stress and social skills self-reported indicators. Considering the direct measures, both studies (pilot and data collection) showed a change in the sleep pattern (mainly sleep latency) evaluated by actigraphy, but there was no change in the Cortisol Awakening Response (CAR). The present study results are in line with the literature, and methodological aspects were discussed.Item type:Item, Caracterização familiar e intervenção em grupo com irmãos de indivíduos com transtorno do espectro do autismo(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-04-25) ;Goto, Paula Hisa Paranaíba ;Aiello, Ana Lúcia Rossito ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/7544189440874179https://lattes.cnpq.br/7382330482949178Siblings of people with ASD could develop social and emotional problems, also, they could have difficulties in parental relationship. Group intervention could be a way to support those siblings with typical development on clarifying their doubts, sharing experiences, and learning strategies to deal with their ASD siblings’ daily relationship. The goal of this study is to present a report of a group intervention with ASD siblings and its effects upon these variables: behavior issues and social behavior; stress and confrontation strategies; relationship network and knowledge about ASD, in addition, the parents and caregivers’ satisfaction related to the intervention. The design used was a quasi-experimental design with three groups: experimental group (EG) which received the whole intervention, partial group (PG) which received a partial intervention, and control group (CG) which did not receive the intervention. There were pre-and post-test to all of the groups but a six months follow-up only with EG. The EG participants were six siblings with age ranging from10 to 15 years old, PG participants were four siblings with age ranging from10 to 12 years old, and the CG participants were four siblings with age ranging from 8 to 12 years old. All the groups had participants with both genders. There were five meetings with EG (12 hours total) and three meetings with PG (6 hours total). Emotional aspects and information were developed in these meetings. In total, 15 siblings and their parents and caregivers participated of the research. One child participated only of the pre-test stage. The protocols used were Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ), Stress and Coping in Siblings, Network of Relationships Inventory (NRI), Childhood Autism Rating Scale (CARS), satisfaction questionnaire with every meeting activities, and a parent /caregiver questionnaire, two semi structured interview scripts, one was used with the research participants, and the other with parents and caregivers. The results showed positive changes related to ASD knowledge, confrontation strategies optimization and for the two intervention groups, a pro-social behavior improvement. There were not changes related to difficulties, stress and relationship networks. The participants reported they enjoyed the activities, so did their parents and caregivers related to the intervention. For future studies, it would be important to consider a large intervention time and the number of participants. Also, a statistical analysis should be considered for future studies to check if the changes were significant to correlate them to gender, birth order, ASD level and the results of the protocols used. Parallel Interventions with ASD parents and siblings could be an interesting possibility. Besides the research limitations, this is a pioneer study in this country. It has showed the importance of a place where the ASD siblings could be heard, received information and support, because they could be benefited from professionals’ attention. Group intervention is beneficial when considering experience changes and time and resources optimization. But also, there are specific cases, especially when high stress levels and disruptive behaviors are presented, that individualized attention could be essential.Item type:Item, Da união para os municípios? The Parque Nacional Cavernas do Peruaçu (PNCP), near the municipality of Itacarambi, Minas Gerais states, highlighted by works carried out with the troglobite catfish (exclusive of subterranean environment) Trichomycterus itacarambiensis Trajano and Pinna (1996), the end of the Olhos d’ Água cave. In addition to catfish, a cave is home to other populations of troglobites, such as the harvestmen Iandumoema uai Pinto-da-Rocha (1996) and the whip spider Charinus eleonorae Baptista and Giupponi (2003). The populations of the Eusarcus cavernicola Hara and Pinto-da-Rocha (2008) and Eusarcus aduncus Mello-Leitão (1942). Considering the populations of the mentioned arachnid species, we investigated from the marking and recapture method as size and population density. In addition, we analyzed the distribution of the troglóbios (I. uai and C. eleonorae) in relation to troglófilos (E. cavernicola and E. aduncus). Finally, from collections made in caves of the PNCP analyzes a diversity of the subterranean fauna in relation to Olhos d 'Água cave. Our results showed that the population of I. uai opium is numerically higher than others, with population values and higher densities. In addition, I. uai widely distributed in the various regions of the Olhos d 'Água cave, as well as C. eleonorae. In contrast, E. cavernicola and E. aduncus are restricted within the cavern with populations secreted relative to I. uai and C. eleonorae. Still, the Olhos d 'Água cave presents greater subterranean diversity with occurrence of troglophiles, troglóbites and relict specie.Item type:Item, O Desenvolvimento da agroecologia e as instituições do campo científico agrário(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-04-26) ;Menezes, Leonardo ;Andrade, Thales Haddad Novaes de ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/5882842888759363https://lattes.cnpq.br/5380094265147646This work is a theoretical effort that aims to give light to a debate about the formation and development of a paradigm into scientific knowledge. More specifically the proposal is to analyze some aspects about how the scientific institutions, understood as the rules, the organization and the structure, develop a new paradigm. To reach the objectives of this work, we will analyze the case of Agroecology, a self-titled new science with a new paradigm. In order to give an account of our case study, we have based the social studies of science from the writings of Thomas Kuhn and Pierre Bourdieu, given basis to the concepts of paradigm and social fields, that we use to analyze agroecological field, and the scientific field. The paper analyzes the science, based in social analyzes of science, and the formation of the agroecological field, trying to understand what are the assumptions that compose it as a new paradigm. With this in hand, the paper analyzes the adequacy of this field to the national scientific institutions, identifying how the teaching and research is composed at the existing rules for universities and research institutes, for which analyzes two cases, in undergraduate, and three postgraduate studies. From this analysis, the work concludes that this adequacy tends to provoke a predominance of some areas of knowledge towards others, reaching some of the assumptions of the paradigm in question.Item type:Item, A influência da lógica financeira no Prêmio Nacional da Qualidade(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-04-26) ;Fantti, Marina Borges Lima ;Donadone, Julio César ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/7643906508178259https://lattes.cnpq.br/7915473790211765The financialization process made the shareholder value ideology become the main guiding principle of corporate behavior, which resulted in several changes in the organizations, for instance, in the profile and way the managers operates and in the strategies and management practices adopted. In this context, the approaches of quality management, which focus on providing superior value to the customers, had to adapt to maintain its legitimacy towards the shareholder value ideology. In this sense, this thesis aims to explore the influence of the elements of the management based on the financial logic in the National Quality Award, which is one of the most contemporary approaches of the quality management. The relevance of this study, due to the fact that there is a few empirical studies that analyzed the influence of financial logic in quality management approaches and in Brazilian organizations. In order to reach the described objective, an exploratory study was carried out based on secondary data, from a documentary research. This included the analysis of the existence of elements of the management based on the financial logic in the versions of the Management Excellence Model used by the National Quality Award and in the 66 companies that won the award between 1992 to 2016. The results point out the influence of financial logic in the National Quality Award. The analysis of the versions of the Management Excellence Model demonstrated that concepts of financial logic were gradually being incorporated instead of practices related to the quality management. The analysis of the profile of the companies that won the National Quality Award showed that 36% of the companies were awarded post-privatizations, which ocourred in the 1990s, with the predominance of companies of eletric energy segment. The analysis of the executives showed that members of the top management of more than 20 winning companies have acted on the boards of the National Quality Foudantion contributing to the formulation of the award guidelines. In addition, it was verified the existence of board interlockings in the winning organizations, which favored the dissemination of the Management Excellence Model and the National Quality Award. Finally, the analysis of the profile of the presidents of the winning companies demonstrated the predominance of executives with professional background in financial areas and post-graduation in finance, which are valued by the finance conception of control. This thesis indicated the reconversion of the the National Quality Award towards adherence to the management discourse based on the financial logic due to the need to maintain its legitimacy.Item type:Item, Influência da variação geométrica dos alvéolos na capacidade resistente ao cisalhamento de lajes alveolares protendidas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-04-26) ;Maciel, Andrey Monteiro ;Carvalho, Roberto Chust ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/3633394168236221https://lattes.cnpq.br/0147747084470199This dissertation deals with the study of the influence of void geometry on the shear capacity of prestressed hollow core slabs. Based on analytical models for the tension shear capacity for uncracked sections, which were first proposed by YANG (1994) and latter modified by PAJARI (2005), a calculation procedure applying spreadsheets has being proposed for the prior definition of the void geometry, allowing an easy and quick way to evaluate the efficiency of the void shape to provide shear capacity. In addition, the influence of the variation of the angle of failure for the tension shear mechanism has been confronted against experimental results, giving indication that the fixed angle of 35º assumed by YANG (1994) is an adequate inclination to be considered in design. Calculation examples were presented in order to elucidate the main concepts discussed in this work. Comparisons were made considering the Brazilian normative model and the Yang-Pajari model for tension shear, from results obtained experimentally for prototypes whose rupture occurred by diagonal traction, and for the Brazilian standard model, safety results were not verified for slabs with oblong cores; as opposed to the YANG-PAJARI model applied to the same slabs, providing satisfactory results. In addition, the analytical model based on the Brazilian code of practice for structural concrete has been verified against experimental results for slabs with oblong cores, wherein some of the experimental results were found below the predicted values. However, as the number of experimental results was small, future experimental investigation is needed in order to verify the reliability of this analytical model.Item type:Item, Definição de parâmetros dimensionais de estacionamento para veículos de duas rodas – estudo de caso da UFSCar(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-04-27) ;Alves, Elien Jolo ;Barreto, Douglas ;Caron, Monica Filomena ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/3408975195954782https://lattes.cnpq.br/1878546685727097Being a global phenomenon, the motorization process has advanced in the last decades and is characterized mainly by the increase of motor vehicles used in the individual transport. The evidence suggests the association of the process with the deficiencies of public transport, the model of urban land occupation and the economic policies to encourage the automobile industry in recent decades. In view of the aggravation of the national scenario, the new guidelines of the National Urban Mobility Policy were instituted in 2012 with the purpose of encouraging the use of collective transportation and non-motorized modes. In spite of representing an innovation, with admittedly positive propositions, several questions are raised, especially regarding the financing of infrastructure and the sharing of the costs of public transport and other initiatives aimed at urban mobility. The new legislation did not give due attention to motorcycles, as it saw them under the same conditions as cars and other motor vehicles, despite their recognized vulnerability. This is the reason why small safety initiatives in the use of this type of vehicle are important. It was verified that some parking spaces for motorcycles available on the campus São Carlos of the UFSCar have reduced dimensions or some difficulty for their access, besides the disproportionality in front of the offer of vacancies for the automobiles. The hypothesis was then formulated about the outdating of the parameters used in the distribution of the vacancies, dimensions and in the maximum slope of the floor, particularly in parking lots positioned outside the streets. The bibliographic review was applied to collect propositions regarding these parameters. A questionnaire was also sent to the municipal transit authorities, which allowed verification the criteria for the deployment of new parking lots. The case study was used to analyze the adopted parameters and was inferred by the veracity of the initial hypothesis. It was also verified that in the majority of the studied cases the size of the vacancies do not follow the recommendation of the regulator of traffic. It was found that the distribution of parking spaces between motorcycles and automobiles does not correspond to the proportion observed in the municipal, state and regional vehicle fleet. It was concluded that the specificities of the motorcycles were not considered in relation to the inclination of the floor of the parking lots. Based on the information obtained during the research, the proposals for adequacy for UFSCar parking lots were made.Item type:Item, Diretrizes para a elaboração de projetos urbanos de impacto ambiental reduzido : aplicação no município de São Carlos, SP(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-04-27) ;Tão, Nícolas Guerra Rodrigues ;Silva, Ricardo Siloto da ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/5346985934880710https://lattes.cnpq.br/3494961387147725The cities are under a process of constant expansion, which generates degradation of the natural system. However, economic progress and the cities growth depends on the stability of ecosystems as a way to supply resources for human activities. Some urban planning models and approaches were designed in different contexts and scales as a way to build more harmonious cities within their natural environment, also to compose a set of inspiring theories and practices to promote advances in this scenario for the Brazilian cities. In the search to match the development of urban systems and the balance of natural ecosystems, this research aims to structure criteria and guidelines to guide the development of reduced environmental impact urban projects. To analyze this potential, it is suggested their application in peri-urban expansion zones of São Carlos (São Paulo State). Additionally, urban instruments and regulations will be analyzed regarding the potential application of the proposal, through a research protocol. For the criteria and guidelines by itself, it is expected that a critical analyze of its application could, in some way, contribute to the development of reduced environmental impact in urban projects.Item type:Item, Influência da laminação assimétrica nas propriedades mecânicas do alumínio AA 1050(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-04-27) ;Zanchetta, Bianca Delazari ;Rubert, José Benaque ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/1726311467903505 ;Kliauga, Andrea Madeirahttps://lattes.cnpq.br/3527528295399928Aluminum sheets are produced by rolling followed by annealing. However when submitted to deep drawing earing appears, caused by the plastic anisotropy resulting from the production process. After annealing the main texture is cube {001} , that is recognized as being the cause of this heterogeneity during deep drawing. The literature shows that when shear stress is applied in the deformation process, it leads to texture changes. In this study asymmetric rolling (AR) was used as a technique to produce shear. The shear stress is introduced by the different velocities between the upper and bottom rolls and in this study this was achieved by using roll radius relations (r1/r2) of 1,5 and 2. Rolling reductions of 50% in thickness were applied to aluminum AA1050 sheets. The conventional rolling (CR) was compared to the asymmetric rolling (AR), at two different reduction rates: 5% and 10%. The crystallographic textures were obtained by xray diffraction. Finite element analysis, using the DEFORM software, was used to analyze the effective strain distribution throughout the thickness as well as its components: normal strain, shear strain and rigid body rotation. The samples were annealed in a furnace with 350°C for 05, 10, 15, 20 and 60 minutes. The microstructure was characterized by optical microscopy, electron back scatter diffraction and x-ray diffraction. The plastic anisotropy (Lankford Parameter) was measured by tensile experiments at three different sheet directions and by the Erichsen test. The deformed samples’ microstructure was analyzed at the surface near to the upper roll and at half of the thickness. For the CR the main components were brass (Bs) {011} , Goss (Gs) {011} and copper (Cu) {112} , with 8.8 intensity at the central layer, and 4.5 at the surface. For AR samples the was more random at the surface of the samples with 5% of reduction per pass, added to a component of rotation in the normal direction, what resulted in cube and rotated cube textures or near to these orientations, generating a type of fiber {100}//ND. The maximum intensities for the (r1/r2) of 1,5 and 2 were 3 and 4, respectively. For the samples with 10% of reduction per pass the rolled texture was still presented, with a more intense rotation in the transversal direction related to the rolling direction and shear texture components {100}//ND and . The maximum intensities were 3 and 3.5 , for the (r1/r2) of 1,5 and 2, respectively. In the center layer of the samples with 5% of reduction per pass for (r1/r2) of 1,5 and 2 showed a intensity of 5.26 and 6.56, respectively and the strongest shear texture was rotated Goss (C). (011)[0-1- 1] The samples with 10% reduction per pass showed the greatest reduction of intensity with 3.05 and 3.63, for the (r1/r2) of 1,5 and 2 respectively, and the highest intensity was related to rotate the Goss (011)[0-1-1] component. In the pole figures rotations around the transversal direction (TD) and the normal direction (ND) were observed. Using the finite element analysis the rotation around the TD and ND were quantified and its variation across the thickness were analyzed. The rigid body rotation is superposed to shear , which leads to the observed texture gradients. The rotation around TD is imposed by the velocity difference between top and bottom roll, whereas the ND rotation is imposed by the experimental configuration, which permit variation of the sample alignment at the roll mill entrance. This was stronger for the 5% reduction rate and more concentrated at the samples surface. After 05 minutes the annealed samples were already recrystallized , after 60 minutes the grain average size was 30µm, and hardness 21HV. The annealed texture for the CR sample showed the greatest concentration off Cube texture {001} and intensity of 8.08 times the random. For the AR samples with 5% reduction per pass the intensities for the (r1/r2) of 1,5 and 2 was 5.88 and 6.56, respectively, and for the 10% reduction per pass 2.96 and 2.85, respectively. The AR decreases the annealed texture. In the samples of 5% reduction per pass the most intense shear texture was rotated Goss, the 10% reduction per pass did not have a predominant component. The Lankford parameters showed less anisotropy for the annealed samples with 10% reduction per pass. Based on the values of anisotropy and hardening exponent for each sample, the Limiting Rate of Drawing was calculated. The AR got a superior values than the CR ones, indicating an improvement of the drawability.
