Projeto História Nova do Brasil: as Reformas de Base começaram pela educação(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-08-22) Lima, Guilherme Pontieri de; Bittar, Marisa; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3059723520472948; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8383399755055585In the midst of the great effervescence of ideas, political manifestations, models and propositions of a nation in dispute, characteristic of the early 1960s, the Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC) supported a project to revise the teaching of History of Brazil. The project: the New History of Brazil, a set of monographs, carried out in a collaborative way between the Student Assistance Campaign (CASES), an organ linked to the MEC, and the Department of History of the Instituto Superior de Estudos Brasileiros (ISEB). as principal signatory Nelson Werneck Sodré. Such a revision of history teaching, launched in early 1964, was aborted months later by the dictatorship, which interrupted production, collected the work, persecuted the intellectuals associated with it, and labeled them generically as subversives. The possession of this material was attested to by subversion for the dictatorship. This present study seeks to analyze the project of the New History of Brazil in its relation with the so - called Brazilian reality. Capitalist development in Brazil did not present a single project of nation. It starts from the hypothesis that the New History of Brazil radicalized the national and anti-imperialist project and, extrapolating, the idea of the "basic reforms" in the educational field, was linked to the major project of the Brazilian revolution. Being propositive, the New History of Brazil extrapolated the field of education and teaching history, specifically, becoming more than an interrupted project, but a model to be fought.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Efeitos da variação da tarifa de energia elétrica sobre a inflação brasileira: 1996 - 2015(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-08-22) Castro, Andressa Porto; Figueiredo, Adelson Martins; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2582161065438214; Oliveira, Maria Aparecida Silva; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3455553543736709; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0385037937068122In Brazil, the inflation targeting system has been adopted since 1999, with inflation measured through the Extended Consumer Price Index (IPCA), which in its basket of goods has products with free and administered prices. Inflation in recent years in Brazil can be explained as an inflation of costs caused by supply shocks, as well as an inertial component inflation caused by the indexation of administered prices. Among the administered prices, the electricity tariff is one of the items with the highest weight and that contributes most to the variation of the monitored IPCA. Electricity is one of the most important inputs of the national energy matrix, being present not only in the residences, but also is a primordial input for the other sectors of the economy. The present work aims at analyzing the effects that the variations of the tariff of electric power cause in the IPCA and in the categories of goods and services that compose it during the period of January of 1996 until June of 2015. To understand the behavior of the tariff of energy are estimated their determinants. The analysis of the econometric models are based in the methodology of multivariate time series. Overall, positive energy price shocks lead to an increase in the price variation of most IPCA categories. Increases in electricity tariffs also have a positive impact on the IPCA of monitored prices and services.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, O cinema como instrumento de sensibilização ambiental para conservação da água(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-08-22) Maria, Flávia Regina; Hanai, Frederico Yuri; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7651828454575175; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3752440723309238Cinema can be used for many purposes nowadays, such as: entertaining, educating and also as an important device able of spreading knowledge, provoking reflections on relevant themes, such as the water issue, its scarcity and the need for its conservation and preservation. In this context, the objective of the research was to analyze the influence of environmental cinema as a means of environmental perception and its sensitizing impact on individuals for water conservation. The exploratory research presents results obtained by primary data, involving the selection of volunteers; a pre-selection of films addressing the water theme to compose a list; the selection of four films from this list for the consideration of the participants; the characterization, description, interpretation and brief analysis of the films selected for the research; and the application of questionnaires, being a preliminary on perception with respect to water, and a conclusive about the sensitizing impact of the films. The secondary data of the research were obtained by means of a bibliographical survey and reading of the material on the theme water; environmental film; cinema and water; conservation and preservation of water; and environmental perception and awareness. The results obtained were positive for the use of cinema as a sensitizing instrument, awakening in the participants a greater reflection on the uses of water and its importance for the maintenance of life.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, OfflineManager - uma biblioteca Android para suporte offline em aplicativos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2017-08-22) Fernandes, Sidarta; Lucrédio, Daniel; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9090396559596221; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9382111028442551With the expansion of mobile computing, caused by the popularization of smartphones, tablets and application stores, and the increase in the inter-connectivity between devices and servers, many questions arise in the software engineering scenario. As most applications work with a back-end server over the Internet, one such question involves offline application usage, because in many occasions network connectivity is not available. This question can be solved in many ways, including storage of the requests, caching, data synchronization, among others. There are solutions both in the industry and academy that attempt to solve this problem, however two challenges remain: to solve the problem in a way that covers many software layers, including interface and usability issues; and to support any step in the development cycle without great implementation effort, facilitating adaptation and refactoring of existing applications. This dissertation presents an Android library built to help developers provide offline functionality on their apps, while trying to solving these two challenges. To do that, the library, called OfflineManager, was built to be easily installed and utilized, and offers different ways to treat each call to the back-end, both in case of Internet connection missing, or in case of an unavailable server. It also offers feedback messages, and a point of interaction via pop-up. To evaluate the library, four evaluation methods were used: specialist opinion, implantation on a real project, comparative experiment with users, and heuristic evaluation. All four evaluations conducted showed results indication that the library attends its purpose and caters for the two challenges presented, being that the first two evaluations analyzed implementation and development aspects, while the last two analyzed interface and usability aspects. Evaluations showed that the library is easy to install, use and comprehend, that the treatments offered are sufficient and that it improves app usability in an offline scenario. Although, some threats to validity can be listed, indicating that there is room for improvement in the way they were conducted. Finally some improvements can be presented as future work in order to improve the library, expand the experiments taken, and to consolidate guidelines for the library utilization.
