listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, O protagonismo do Tribunal Superior Eleitoral e o seu impacto na relação de accountability entre Legislativo e Judiciário(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-05-22) Oliveira, Geovane Pedro; Casalecchi, Gabriel Avila; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9759794253878555; Braga, Maria do Socorro Sousa; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2311094074614215; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3425091950035361The goal of this paper is to evaluate the implications of electoral justice activism in political-party competition by creating new law in this current republic. That is, although it is not within its competence, the TSE has been carrying out these functions, through new rules that, in turn, have implications both in the system of political representation, and in the relation of horizontal accountability and between the Powers of the Republic. We start from the premise that the model of electoral governance adopted in Brazil favors judicial activism through resolutions issued by the Superior Electoral Court, since such an independent and specialized model excludes political parties from managing the electoral process, making the production of consensus of political party competition is left to the TSE. Resolutions will be analyzed according to their origin, scope and political consequence in order to assess whether the Court has acted as a "legislative power" or have taken decisions of mere interpretive character in the light of the Federal Constitution. The hypothesis is that judicial activism of the Higher Electoral Court has been used as an instrument of horizontal accountability by the Judiciary, that is, control of the electoral and legislative action of the Executive and Legislative Branch, atypically by means of the creation of law in addition to its constitutional competence to regulate electoral matters.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Interações entre aves de vida livre e o plantel de aves em um zoológico no sudeste do Brasil: risco de transmissão de agentes patogênicos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-05-22) Sanchioli, Rafaela Guimarães; Piratelli, Augusto João; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4747322084219058; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6812438689013506Ex-situ conservation has become a common strategy, often used to save threatened species from extinction. However, captive animals are exposed to the risk of pathogenic transmission, both by domestic and wild free-living animals. This study aimed to sample free-lived wild birds found in bird enclosures in a zoo park in southeastern Brazil, assessing the risk of transmission of pathogens. We proceeded focal observations in all bird enclosures to identify the most visited ones and to study the behavior of visitors. We analyzed an interaction network to estimate the interactivity between free-living and captive animals. Next, we settled mist nets near the precincts with the highest frequency of visitation, to capture free-lived birds and collect biological samples. The network of interactions was represented by 14 visitor species and 10 visited enclosures. Passer domesticus and Columbina talpacoti were the most frequent visitors. Foraging on the ground and foraging on feeders were the most-frequent observed behaviors. The network presented low connectivity (26%) and a nested pattern (NODF = 53.39, p = 0). We captured 56 free-living birds from four species and collected 68 biological samples. Escherichia coli was the most frequently isolated agent (63.6%). Although enterobacteria were regularly identified in the collected samples, the impact of this relationship could not be directly measured. However, we have shown a latent risk of pathogen transmission, due to regularity and visit behavior of some free-lived bird species, which frequently host enterobacteria and intestinal parasites.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Construção, validação de conteúdo e aplicação do protocolo avaliativo de iniciação esportiva em cadeira de rodas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-05-22) Melo, Flávio Anderson Pedrosa de; Munster, Mey de Abreu Van; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7861049737421476; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2651785860198037The evaluation is part of any teaching and learning process. It allows the educator to follow the evolution of the respective learner, establishing parameters that allow to identify the areas in which the same needs more stimulation. In view of the difficulty of finding tools for the evaluation of motor components for sports initiation for people and children with physical disabilities. This study presents an evaluation protocol based on the compilation, adaptation and creation of tests involving motor components present in the sports initiation process represented by the fundamentals and behaviors of sports modalities in wheelchairs. The aim of this study was to develop and validate the Wheelchair Sportive Initiation Protocol (WSIP). This protocol aim to evaluating the motor components that influence the wheelchair sports initiation process. And more specifically to contextualize the process of elaboration and construction of the WSIP; To analyze the contents of the WSIP according to the perspective of expert judges (content validation); To verify the adequacy and applicability of the WSIP. The study involving a qualitative and quantitative research approach. It is characterized by descriptive and cross-sectional study. The research was divided in three studies: I) Development of the WSIP; II) Content Validation; III) Application Study. The second study participants were specialist teachers in Adapted Physical Education or Special Education. The third study participants were children of both sexes with physical disabilities. For this study the age was between 6 and 13 years. The data analysis was used the statistical descriptive analysis. After the study it was possible to develop and content validate the WSIP as well as identify potential weaknesses and problems through the applications as a way to solve them. The intention was allows the educator to follow the evolution of the student establishing parameters that make it possible to identify the areas in which needs more stimulation for influencing behaviors of wheelchair sports initiation.
