listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Um estudo sobre denúncias de violência registradas no disque 100 - pessoas com deficiência(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-12-12) Lima, Marcia; D'Affonseca, Sabrina Mazo; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0381029115416584; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5806314803846613People with disabilities, when compared to their non-disabled peers, are more vulnerable to violence. Considering that in violence prevention the first step is to identify its existence, the present work aims to analyze data related to complaints of violence against people with disabilities made available by Dial Human Rights-Dial 100, to characterize violence against people with disabilities in Brazil. The Dial-100 - Annual Balance 2017 - People with Disabilities was used as data source, analyzing the data related to aggression (frequency, type of violation and location); the characteristics of the victim (disability, ethnicity, age and sex) and aggressors (relationship with the victim, age, sex and ethnicity); and who was the whistleblower. There was a considerable number of complaints between the years 2011 and 2017 (M = 8800, sd = 2879), with the majority of cases (35.8%) being negligence (abandonment, food, protection, hygiene, medicines / health care). The violations occurred at home (85.6%) and the victims were mostly women (52.8%), black (29.7%), aged between 18 and 50 years old (76.9%) and intellectual disability (65.8%). Most of the identified aggressors were family members (57.1%), men (57.6%), aged between 18 and 50 years (39.6%). This situation highlights the need for violence prevention actions which must consider support and guidance for families, changes related to the vision/conceptions of people with disabilities in society, in addition to ensuring access to services and support for the disabled person and his family.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Desenvolvimento de um Apontador Estelar para o ensino de astronomia(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-12-12) Pedersen, Fernando Augusto; Carvalho Neto, João Teles de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8622059450756991; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7246458057839408By analyzing the optoelectronic equipments available for the teaching of astronomy, it was observed that there is no equipment that uses a beam of laser light commanded by a computer for orientation in sky observations. For this reason, this monograph aimed to develop a stellar pointer, entitled as Star Pointer. This equipment will indicate, through a beam of light emitted by a laser, the location of astronomical objects. The Star Pointer was developed at a low cost, approximately R$ 182.20, promoting observations of the sky, improving the learning in Astronomy. All software used to develop Python and Arduino programs are free and easily accessible. In order to assemble the hardware components, in-depth knowledge of electronics is not necessary. The results found in the equipment tests are encouraging, although there is a need for improvements in the software developed in Python. The equipment has a good response in the commands that are inserted and its functions are quite comprehensive. The possible commands to be carried out are: several trajectories; outline of celestial objects; indication of stars in a constellation and combinations of these commands. These commands make it possible to carry out simple activities as indicating a celestial object, and more elaborate ones as the contour of each star in a constellation. Improvements and corrections of the software are already being carried out, they aim to make the equipment more versatile and the use of the smartphone in place of the computer, making it more accessible.
