The aim of this work was to look at the conflicts of a street theatre ensemble based in Sorocaba. Away from São Paulo, the ensemble did not go through the marketing's pressures of the capital and persevered over the sixteen years of existence. The cornerstones of this study are the moment which the ensemble was stablished, the organisational and contextual necessity of Sorocaba, the city’s public politics of cultural fundings, the ensemble's militancy and theatre pedagogy. Due to my immersion in this work, I came across protocols, reviews and clippings. Furthermore, it enables me to identify a curios core element for the survival of the theatre ensemble, in its own purpose for “theatre’s Decentralisation and popularisation”. The ensemble’s engagement to create an identity generated the elaboration of a examination, which even in the challenging and substandard moments, made it possible to recover and alter their work. Consequently, contributing to their permanence. This research was done based on interviews, essays, my daily participation within the ensemble and other documents; which suddenly brought the aspects that composes the existence of the street theatre ensemble. Looking globally at the proposed research, it becomes singular the Study Case in Nativos Terra Rasgada ensemble, using a Qualitative Methodology.

Xylella fastidiosa (XF) is a bacterium capable of colonizing a large number of plants, but is mainly known to cause disease in economically important crops such as citrus, grapevines, coffee and more recently olive trees. XF colonizes the xylem vessels, forming biofilm and thus blocking the passage of sap and water from roots to leaves. General symptoms related to diseases caused by these bacteria are leaves wilt, burning and subsequent leaf necrosis, leaves chlorosis and in same pathosystem plant death. The bacterium, which until recently was restricted to the American continent, in 2013 was reported in southeast Italy causing severe symptoms in olive trees leaving to dead of over one milion plants and infected eleven million. This desease was call as Olive Quick Decline Syndrome (OQDS). Since then XF has also been reported in other European countries, such as France, Spain and Portugal, infecting sweet cherry, almond, lavender and ornamental plants. Lately, in mid-2016, similar symptoms as observed in disease olive plants in Italy were also found in olive plants in the state of Minas Gerais in Brazil. The identification of XF in symptomatic olive trees in Brazil leave us to some questions about the; geographic distribution of infected plants, genetic diversity of pathogen, and natural infectivity of possible vectors involved on natural transmission. Therefore, the objetives of this work were; 1. to analyze the distribution of XF in olive orchards in southeastern Brazil; 2. to determined the genetic diversity of strains isolated from symptomatic trees; 3. to verify the natural infectivity of possible vectors. Targeting the objectives 1 and 2 aproximatley 500 samples with OQDS-like symptoms were analized for the presence of XF by using specific primers and bacterial isolation in agar medium growth following the genetic diversity studies. Those samples were sampled from twenty-five orchards located in 15 cities of states of São Paulo and Minas Gerais plus one from Espirito Santo. XF was identified in 21 of the 26 orchards analyzed. A total of 204 isolates were cultured from the symptomatic samples. Twenty-one representative strains of whole population were typed by both Multilocus Sequence type (MLST) and Simple Sequence Reapts (SSR) and the total population by the last methodology. Sixty-five percent of strains were identified as ST16 (previsouly reported in coffee plants) but others already described such as ST70 (from in hibiscus) and ST13 (from citrus) were found causing OQDS in olive plants. Beside these, new STs like the 84, 85 and 86, all belonging to subsp. pauca of X. fastidiosa were also identified in disease olive plants. Population genetic analysis using twelve SSR markers clustered the total population (204 strains) from 16 different orchards representing 12 different municipalities in only three subpopulations. Except the strains from SPA1, MG18, MGA7, MG10 and MGA4 all the remaining strains were placed in a specific subpopulation. In the SPA1 (S22°42'10.71"/W45°41'32.91") was found the largest number of private alleles and heterozygosis and also two different STs (84 and 86). The unbiased heterozygosity (HNei), ranged from 0 to 0.53 (Avg 0.20). Analyzes of possible migration routes have shown the orchards MG-A1 and MG-A2 as the largest migrant donors. X. fastidiosa was detected in at least 37% of potential vectors in commercial orchard SP-A1.

Internet and social Web made possible the acquisition of information to feed a growing number of Machine Learning applications and, in addition, brought light to the use of crowdsourcing approaches, commonly applied to problems that are easy for humans but difficult for computers to solve, building the crowd-powered systems. In this work, we consider the issue of semantic drift in a bootstrap learning algorithm and propose the novel idea of a crowd-powered approach to diminish the effects of such issue. To put this idea to test we built a hybrid version of the Coupled Pattern Learner, a bootstrap learning algorithm that extract contextual patterns from an unstructured text, and SSCrowd, a component that allows conversation between learning systems and Web users, in an attempt to actively and autonomously look for human supervision by asking people to take part into the knowledge acquisition process, thus using the intelligence of the crowd to improve the learning capabilities of Coupled Pattern Learner. We take advantage of the ease that humans have to understand language in unstructured text, and we show the results of using a hybrid crowd-powered approach to diminish the effects of semantic drift.

There is a growing interest in metric studies on scientific collaboration in Brazilian postgraduate studies. However, a significant part of these studies are conducted from international bibliographic databases at the macro level, while other studies are limited to a particular Postgraduate Program (PPG), making comparative analysis and group mapping impossible. The general objective of this research comprises the elaboration of indicators on the national and international scientific collaboration of the PPGs of the Applied Social Sciences Area 1 - Information Science, recommended by CAPES of Brazil. The method comprised a quantitative approach of exploratory nature. Bibliometrics and social network analysis were used as analysis techniques. The sample analyzed comprised 519 bibliographic records referring to the scientific production of 421 permanent teachers who work in 27 PPG of the Applied Social Sciences Area 1 - Information Science, from 2013 to 2018. The results achieved included the elaboration of a set of indicators. involving: 1] production characterization by PPG, identifying the evolution and percentage of contribution; 2] identification of national and international scientific collaboration through co-authoring, highlighting initiatives with international institutions, the main vehicles of communication and the most investigated themes. It can be concluded that the results achieved can contribute to the improvement of the PPG and of the National Graduate System, by maximizing the understanding of collaboration in the area of Applied Social Sciences 1 - Information Science, by providing a set of indicators, elaborated from the fusion of metadata from two sources of information. Lattes and Web of Science, enabling the identification of the institutional links of the authors in relation to PPG and international institutions.

The definition of Information Literacy is related both to the set of knowledge, skills and attitudes that individuals must possess to use information in a critical and ethical way, as well as lifelong learning. The ethical dimension of Information Literacy is based on the behavior that reachs the worry with legal aspects about the use of information by the individual for the realization of the collective good. The use of information and communication technologies and the ease of access to a large amount of information makes even more relevant the issues of the adequate use of information sources and the ethical dimension of Information Literacy to combat plagiarism for the legal use of information. The present work aims to verify the perception that undergraduate members of an academic community have regarding academic plagiarism based on the ethical use of information in the context of Information Literacy, addressing the issue of plagiarism. The research developed has a quantitative-qualitative character, based on a bibliographical review of the topics addressed, and it was exploratory in relation to the research objectives. To collect data and present the results, a questionnaire was applied to university students on the Bachelors Degree in Library and Information Science (BCI) and Biological Sciences, at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar). The research results allowed us to identify that: respondents can understand what plagiarism is, but from the responses chosen regarding the sanctions to be applied, most of them do not identify plagiarism as a crime of copyright infringement. And although most respondents stated that they cite the sources used in their academic work, the consistency of the citation may be impaired due to the lack of frequency in consulting referencing and bibliographic standards. Finally, we identified that within the university, initiatives to tackle plagiarism are still incipient and the issue requires further debate and reflection therein.

The objective of this master’s dissertation is to analyze how the discourses present in the school environment of EE Ary Leite Pereira on sexual and gender diversity. The aim is to verify if there is a relationship between the perceptions of teachers in the face of social, historical transformations and the affirmation of the subjectivity and human identity that occurred due to the struggle for civil, political and social rights. Historical dialectical materialism was used in order to find the contradictions present in discourses and practices. For this, was developed a Research Roadmap, with questionnaires applied to school teachers, which allowed to expand the results of the research, which although present in the speeches, it appears in few situations of pedagogical practice and in the personal relationships between those involved in the school environment and is restricted because there is a lack of official guidelines and documents to allow such dialogue. The Research Roadmap was characterized as a research tool for an analysis of the speeches produced in the school and to relate them to the concepts studied. In this way, there is a need for continued training on the issue of sexual and gender diversity in the school environment, provided by competent bodies and addressing the scarcity of time of educators.

There is a lack of research in the Information Science literature on self-archiving in institutional repositories, regarding the quality of representation of the documentary information and, consequently, the information retrieval capabilities. Investigations on the indexing practices of scientific production using self-archiving procedures are relevant on order to contribute to the improvement of quality both of information representation and of information retrieval by subject in institutional repositories. The research focus of this dissertation is on the lack of empirical investigation on the consequences of information retrieval in open access institutional repositories. Therefore, the aim is to investigate the self-archiving effects on the consistency in indexing by subject in institutional repositories focusing on the theses and dissertation collection. The empirical investigation concentrated on analyzing the results of unmediated self-archiving by authors/researchers compared to the same process executed by a librarian specialized in self-archiving. The evaluation centered on the dissertations and theses of the Science, Technology, and Society Postgraduate Programme available in the Institutional Repository of the Federal University of Sao Carlos (UFSCar). The aim is to contribute from a theoretical-methodological perspective to harmonize self-archiving practices and the consistency in indexing scientific production of the Brazilian institutional repositories. The secondary objectives are the following: a) contextualize the institutional repositories from the Information Science perspective emphasizing the modern practices of documentary information representation in a digital context; b) characterize self-archiving practices in both national and international institutional repositories; c) investigate the indexing consistency of theses and dissertations in the RI/UFSCar applying the intrinsic qualitative evaluation method. The investigation is exploratory and descriptive, applying the bibliographic research method to perform a qualitative analysis. The results show a similarity between the indexes evaluated, but the user’s indexation took more time and was less precise than the expert librarian’s indexation. A possible solution to deal with the lack of terms precision is to provide documentary languages to users/researchers as references for terms assignment, subject metadata validation by librarians, and indexing policies elaboration to improve representation and retrieval by subjects in institutional repositories.

With the advent of the Internet and the constant adaptation of the Web, the space of exchange of information with different interests and needs has been reshaping the way of research of individuals connected to the network, especially the way of producing information and knowledge in this space. Due to it, more and more discussions about Crowdsourcing are emerging as a way of producing new knowledge. It is a model of information production that provides for collective collaboration and takes advantage of the “wisdom of the crowd” to generate innovation. In this sense, the objective of this research is to investigate the extent to which Crowdsourcing is used as a resource for the production of knowledge and innovation for the field of research and action of Information Science, within the University Libraries, aiming to identify possibilities for approaching librarians with their internal and external community. As specific objectives, it is necessary to verify how much this model has been explored in the scope of the Integrated Library System of UFSCar, since it is understood that these Libraries are configured as indispensable equipment to optimize the production of knowledge and innovation. Methodologically, the work was based on the Systematic Review of Literature, developing bibliographic surveys in national databases - BRAPCI and BENANCIB, and international - LISTA and SOCUPUS (multidisciplinary) databases. The profile of the Brazilian researcher on crowdsourcing was also analyzed through the Lattes Platform, using Lattes Machines and VantagePoint tools. Direct observation was carried out on WebSites of University Libraries for identification and mapping of crowdsourcing practices. Finally, a Case Study of the UFSCar Community Library was conducted to identify potential applications of crowdsourcing, describing the proposed implementation of Starteca. The results reveal that there is a lack of knowledge about crowdsourcing in the field of research and practice in Information Science, especially in the scope of Brazilian university libraries, which is a common practice abroad in public libraries in general. It also revealed the change of position of the librarians in face of the community’s needs, who are no longer imprisoned only access and material physical support, promoting in these places an environment of collaboration and collective construction of solutions, and can be used also for crowdsourcing application in physical environment - Starteca, space to undertake - by the library. Therefore, it is concluded that crowdsourcing is an innovative resource for Information Science within the University Libraries, since it is possible to innovate its practices through the wisdom of the crowd, opening the doors and opportunities for the connected society to contribute, approaching the community and giving visibility to the library. At the same time, it is possible to be a tool to overcome the financial crises encountered today, becoming a creative and active way for the library to collaborate with its community. In this way, it is possible to boost products and services, since these are inputs to support the development of new knowledge and generation of innovation. However, prior to this, the library must adopt mechanisms to approach its users, welcoming them to be part of the space, becoming an equipment that fosters sharing, exchanges and problem solving together, their value to the community through active attitude.

This thesis constitute a ethnographic study concerning the appropriations that the Xikrin of Bacajá, Jê speaking people in the state of Pará, made and makes of non indigenous writing. It seeks to highlight the manipulations as well as the effects that these graphics cause in their relationships. Writing is brought to them by non natives and its learned by children at school. Regarding the Xikrin people, it was aimed for the younger ones of the tribe and it began to compose the set of knowledge shown by this public. It has been incorporated into a indigenous logic that organizes the exhibit of knowledges from the gender and stages of one’s life. Furthermore, the Xikrin group chooses for the disarticulation between orality and writing and it becomes evident in different situations. Finally, writing is not a form of expression that spontaneously mobilizes these people. It depends on foreigners requests to be shown. However, graphics are made freely by the young ones when they write their personal names on various supports. This action that Xikrin people makes of writing in different contexts, its use - and mainly the refusal to use - allow us to observe relations through other forms of expression. Thus by tracking non native visual manifestation that reflections were constructed on the meanings the Xikrin acknowledge on the writings.

Green chemistry is very concerned with the sustainability of chemical reactions, where one of the objectives, which in the formulation/remodeling of synthetic routes can replace toxic solvents with solvents of lower toxicity, can be highlighted the methodologies that use none or a minimum of solvents. Mechanochemistry is a technique that employs the mechanical maceration of reagents without solvents, achieving excellent results in less reaction time. This technique can improve traditional reactions that have low yields of products with high value, such as acyl phosphates. Phosphate esters have a wide application such as enzymatic substrates, surfactants, and prodrugs, and their synthesis employs several steps with highly toxic reagents and solvents. Therefore, in this work, we aimed at the synthesis of acyl phosphates via mechanochemistry to improve the sustainability of these processes. The methodology was optimized and involved the use of acyl chloride and a phosphate source in the presence of tetrabutylammonium bromide, eliminating excess solvents and decreasing reaction time from hours to minutes. Tetrabutylammonium bromide was shown to be essential for the selectivity towards the phosphate diester, and its role in the reaction was evaluated by molecular dynamics simulations. From the simulations, it was evident that the size of the carbonic chain from the acyl chloride had a major influence in the reaction outcome, in which the tetrabutylammonium bromide was needed to order the acyl chloride in the solid matrix. Comparatively, despite its low yields (maximum 50%), the methodology of this work presented better values of the E-factor and environmental coefficient than the ones described in the literature, exhibiting great potential in the sustainable synthesis of acyl phosphates.

Descriptive Cataloging goes through a moment of reflection and reorganization in search of its identity and has been studied in an increasingly interdisciplinary way by professionals from heterogeneous fields. In the bibliographic domain, with the development of conceptual models, such as the Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records (FRBR) and the propose of Resource Description and Access (RDA) guidelines for resource description, it is necessary to understand how such initiatives relate to digital institutional repositories. The objective of this research was the study of FRBR and RDA established in the bibliographic domain, in order to identify the state of the art on the trends of the bibliographic domain and if they can be applied in digital institutional repositories. The theoretical and methodological support of the Systematic Literature Review (RSL) provided the mapping and identification of key elements to answer the research question. In addition, an empirical study was conducted in the Institutional Repository of the Federal University of Sergipe, from the analysis of a descriptive record that could be identified the theoretical and applied principles of FRBR and RDA. Twenty-five (25) documents were analyzed in the RSL, which can be considered a relatively low index on scientific production consistent with the research proposal and the need for further studies on the subject. Computational technologies, use cases and specific applications were identified in bibliographic, academic and Web environments. Through RSL it was possible to identify and analyze FRBR and RDA based metadata applications in digital institutional repositories, with the extraction of mapped theoretical and methodological requirements. by the international scientific literature. It is emphasized that the state of the art built in this research presents itself as a starting point for the development of tools and applications that bring the bibliographic domain closer to digital institutional repositories. Thus, the contributions of the bibliographic domain characterized in this context by FRBR and RDA and their application in digital institutional repositories can be evidenced in the transfer of concepts, processes, methods, instruments, technologies, models and patterns for the description of features from Descriptive Cataloging, favoring the modeling of open and interoperable environments and systems, providing more intuitive and accessible interfaces, ensuring the most optimized retrieval of information for users.

The concept of equilibrium corresponds to one of the most complex and difficult topics of teaching and understanding in Chemistry. Although different researches has adopted the theme as an object of research and the important contributions already reported in the literature, the learning problems of this concept still seem to be frequent, justifying the importance of the development of this research whose objective was to contribute to the understanding of the factors involved in the learning process of the concept, using as theoretical references the theories of meaningful learning and mental models. For this purpose, the mental models constructed by 14 undergraduate of a public university of the state of Sao Paulo were investigated and analyzed, with the purpose of searching for evidence of learning with a significant character and close to the conceptual model, allowing the learner to assign meaning to the concept and thus explain it, represent it and use it in different situations and at different levels of representational chemistry. Thus, it was sought to verify if knowledge is expressed through its own manifestations, without losing its scientific meaning, or if learning has become predominantly mechanical, through the memorization of its laws and principles, in a disconnected way without the attribution of many meanings, limiting the students to reproduce phrases and statements without the proper understanding, as well as the possible factors that resulted in these learning. Three instruments of data collection were planned and constructed: a questionnaire, a stop motion and a semi-structured interview script. The data were analyzed based on previously defined and categorized guiding elements, being: elements of low complexity (chemical concepts applicable to any chemical transformations) and elements of high complexity (exclusive of the theme). According to our data, the construction of a mental model that resulting in learning of the concept with a significant predominant character seems to involve the need to overcome simplistic visions derived from sensory experiences, purely related to the concrete level and the presence of mental models of the concept chemical reaction considerably developed and adequate, including at the submicroscopic level. That is, to overcome the problems associated with the concept learning process, it is necessary to know what the student already knows, his initial conceptions and his subsumer, which seem to be limiting factors for the construction of a model for the concept of chemical equilibrium capable of allowing the meaningful understanding of this state as dynamic, reversible and simultaneous.

The harmonic functioning of cells involves an orchestrated synchronization of signaling that maintains the balance between proliferation and cell death in healthy tissues. Eventually, gene mutations can occur and the accumulation of these alterations culminate in uncontrolled cellular divisions and consequently in the formation of malignant neoplasias. Breast cancer is the most frequent among women, with metastasis being the major cause of death. The triple negative subtype of breast cancer is one of the most aggressive tumors and there is no specific therapy for its treatment. Bone is the most common site for breast cancer metastasis and the existence of membrane receptors such as integrins on tumor cells assist in this addressing. In this study, divided into two chapters, we evaluated the role of α2β1 integrin in the metastasis of breast cancer. In the first chapter, we used alternagin-C, a protein that binds to α2β1 integrin and from the venom of Bothrops alternatus snake, and the transient silencing of the α2 subunit to verify the role of this receptor in mammary metastasis. The results demonstrated that alternagin-C decreased in 50% tumor cell adhesion to type I collagen and increased more than three times the expression of the metastasis suppressor 1 (MTSS1). In the second chapter, we used three in vivo models (Mammary Fat Pad-MFP, intracardiac-IC and intratibial-IT) of breast bone metastasis with human tumor cells in athymic nude mice. All three models were treated with the α2β1 integrin inhibitor, TCI-15, or superexpressing the α2 subunit in tumor cells that were injected into the animals with the aim of evaluate the role of α2β1 integrin specifically in breast tumor bone metastasis. With these models, we observed that α2β1 integrin plays a significant role in primary tumor growth (MFP model), but there were no significant results in later stages of bone metastasis (IC and IT models). In addition, we verified a biphasic expression of α2β1 integrin during the metastasis cascade, with lower expression in the metastatic cells compared to expression in the parental breast tumor cells. We also demonstrated that the metastatic cells express high levels of PTHrP (parathyroid hormone related protein), Gli2, and TGFβRII, which have been shown to contribute to bone destruction. These data suggest an inverse relation between α2 integrin expression and a bone destructive phenotype. Furthermore, TGF-β treatment decreased α2β1 integrin levels in metastatic cells, suggesting that TGF-β may influence the selection of tumor cells to bone through this integrin regulation. Taken together, these results demonstrated that α2β1 integrin is involved with different roles in metastasis cascade of breast cancer to bone. Thus, this study contributed to identify a possible molecular target for the treatment and prevention of triple negative breast cancer metastasis.

Candidiasis is a mycosis caused by fungi of the genus Candida spp. It affects up to 50% of the world's population and may progress to candidaemia, leading to death in up to a half of patients. Commercial drugs used in its treatment belong to three families, exist for about half a century and target only two cellular components of the fungus, the cell membrane and the cell wall. In the last decade, reports of new Candida species resistant to one or more of these traditional drugs make urgent the need to find new drugs, specially targeting new fungal metabolic pathways. In order to face this problem, the research group of Prof. Helio A. Stefani from USP's Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences synthesized 26 compounds derived from 2-aryl-oxazoline, carrying out biological studies on five species of fungi of the genus Candida, obtaining the MIC50 values. In this work, the use of in silico methods envisioned the identification of a molecular target for the 2-aryl oxazoline compounds in Candida spp. and the characterization of the interactions that may be responsible for the MIC50 values. Therefore, molecular docking experiments were carried out with the 26 modeled ligands on the enzymes dihydrofolate reductase from Candida albicans and lanosterol 14-α-demethylase from Candida glabrata. The monitoring and the characterization of the main non-covalent interactions of the 26 ligands with the proteins, specifically the Candida albicans dihydrofolate reductase, pointed an important interaction of the substituent halides with the enzyme’s glutamic acid 32 residue, and the interaction of the ligands with the tyrosine 21-leucine 29 protein loop, namely CH...π interactions with methionine 25 residue. The reported interactions supported the correlation of the in silico experiments with the results of the biological assays. Analysis of the docking results and the non-covalent protein-ligand interactions allowed the branding of dihydrofolate reductase as a potential target of oxazoline-derived compounds in Candida albicans.

This work aims at a semantic analysis, with an enunciative basis, taking into account the history, the political and the social to understand The Senses of Slave in The Posthumous Memoirs of Brás Cubas, by Machado de Assis. For that, this study is carried out based on textuality procedures, which analyze rewriting and articulation, according to Guimarães (2018), verifying the relations of determination of the word slave in the text. As a methodological tool, we will use the Semantic Domain of Determination (DSD) device, Guimarães (2007), to identify the slave designation in Brás Cubas. In addition, from the notion of politician in Rancière (1996), more specifically by the Guimarães approach (2005), we will observe the normativity that happens within the enunciative space of the text, being this a factor of interference in the meaning of slave in the novel.

The statutory participatory certification mechanism meets the expectations of a historical process of organic farming. The Organization and Social Control (OCS) is a tool that helps in the processes of agroecological transition, considered an advance for the development of agroecology in Brazil. In this sense, we seek to analyze the process of organic recognition through the OCS, noting its contribution to promote an agroecological transition from the redesign of agroecosystems in agrarian reform areas. The critical points of the process were applied based on the perception of the farmers, trying to understand how they create mechanisms to increase the sustainability of production systems. The methodology used was a Participating Action Research, and the investigation took place at OCS Agrovida linked to family groups in the Pirituba II Agrovilas I, V and VI Settlement in the southwest of Sao Paulo State. We consider that the economical perspective made significant progress towards processes of organic recognition of the agroecosystems. Finally, we conclude that the OCS and its socio-environmental tool allow us to visualize the challenges and actions for an agroecological transition starting with the redesigning of agroecosystems from collective perceptions.

Towards the academic libraries to remain relevant to their users and to fulfill their role as information centers in universities, they need to innovate to create services that meet these needs. Innovation enables libraries to create new services or enhance existing services for their user communities. However, innovation is a complex process and several factors can influence or inhibit the innovation process in libraries. This paper aims to characterize the innovations developed by academic libraries (belonging to federal and state universities in Brazil) and the factors that influence them. Thus, it seeks to identify the antecedent and consequent factors of library innovation. To achieve the objectives, the survey research was adopted. Therefore, it is a research with quantitative approach. The execution was performed in three stages: i) the bibliographic research for the theoretical foundation about the process of innovation in services and innovation in libraries; ii) the survey for data collection and iii) data treatment and analysis. For data collection, an electronic questionnaire was sent by email to the library directors of 98 public universities (63 federal and 35 state). At the end, we obtained a sample composed of 151 respondents. For data analysis, two approaches were used. The first was based on descriptive statistics, while the second corresponded to the application of the Structural Equation Modeling technique. The results made it possible to characterize the innovations developed by the libraries. Despite the creation of innovative services, most libraries implement minor adaptations and improved versions of existing services, indicating the predominance of incremental innovations. As for influencing factors, Leadership, Culture and Climate, and Role of Servers and Co-creation are important antecedents and innovation in libraries. On the other hand, factors such as process and resources have less influence. The results also indicate that co-creation, especially of frontline servers, is an important predictor of innovation. Library managers can use research findings to increase the effectiveness of innovation processes. As a consequence, the results indicate the contribution of innovations in improving the image and satisfaction of library users. Finally, limitations and perspectives for future work are presented at the end of this research

The book The Woman in the class society: Myth and reality of Heleieth Saffioti (1969) is considered a milestone in women's studies in Brazil, pioneering and inaugurating an entire field of studies in the area of Brazilian sociology. The theoretical developments that involve the author's thesis of free-teaching are vast, as well as its use in feminist theory, being considered as a reference. The general objective of this research is to analyze the pioneering work of Heleieth Saffioti and its contribution, especially with the concept of patriarchy, post as an embryonic in this research. The methodology used is mainly bibliographical. The current of the book will be analyzed in this research, as well as concerns caused by it, and the non-exhaustion of the central theme that is presented. In this research, we will mobilize concepts within the area of gender studies, through a contemporary debate with a cut of theoreticians, to understand and interpret the discussions about the concept of patriarchy in sociological theory: as was used by the author and by theoretical and theoretical in the decades of 1980 and 1990 and, currently, by different perspectives of feminist theory.

The yellow-chinned spinetail is a Furnariid that, as many other neotropical species, has few aspects of its biology fully studied. It’s been a known host for the stripped cuckoo (Tapera naevia) for years. However, this particular host-parasite system has never been studied. The present study was conducted in a marsh area in the municipality of Santa Bárbara d’Oeste, state of São Paulo, in the reproductive seasons of 2017/2018 and 2018/2018. Through capture and marking of individuals and active search for nests, we built a database about the reproductive biology of this species and the parasitism by T. naevia rates. The first chapter is about the reproductive aspects of the species. The reproductive season lasted from late September to February; The annual fecundity of this population was 0,33 C. cinamomeus and 0.66 T. naevia per female, showing that brood parasitism is the main constrain to the reproduction of C. cinnamomeus in this population. The incubation period was 17 days, and fledging period of 18 days. Reproductive breeding pairs built from 1 to 4 nests during the reproductive season (average of 2.8). The second chapter is about the brood parasitism by T. naevia. Using GLM analysis we tested the hypothesis that the tubular nest entrance might be a constrain to the parasite. Our data didn’t corroborate this hypotheses. Further, no other aspect of nest architecture seems to influence the likelihood of parasitism. The only aspect that showed a negative correlation with the likelihood of a nest being parasitizes by T. naevia was vegetation coverage above the nest. This indicates that T. naevia might use visual cues to locate host’s nests, and vegetation coverage might conceal host activity, making more concealed nests less likely of being parasitized. This study is the first to address specifically the reproductive biology of C. cinnamomeus and this particular parasite-host system.

This research is the result of concerns about the different ways of thinking and approaching the natural sciences for children. It assumes that prior to attending school children already have contact with aspects of scientific culture through the media, of contact with parents and other adults or older children, or through direct contact with science-related elements and phenomena. In this sense, this study aims to understand the vision of Science and Child that underlies the means of scientific dissemination that are intended for children. Firstly, to conduct this qualitative research, a theoretical framework was built on what would be understood as a child and its relationship with science. Childhood is being understood as a social category and children as social actors, members of this category and producers of cultures. Subsequently, programs were selected that aimed to disseminate science to children, in order to analyze some episodes of the same. Three programs were selected: “Earth to Luna”, “The Scientist Sid” and “The Mika’s Diary”. We sought a methodology that was adequate to analyze television programs, arriving at Content Analysis, focused on what is proposed by Laurence Bardin. Data analysis was performed through episodes clippings and based on the dialogues that occurred in them. From the research it was possible to understand that when the program is intended for the dissemination of science to children, there is the emergence of a new stereotype of making and disseminating science and the idea that has about the viewer child. There is great difficulty when it comes to disseminating science to this audience and at the same time respecting the children's universe, its singularities and not overlapping them.
