The positive result of these evaluations is one of the aspects that defines the positions that the agents involved in scientific work can reach before this scientific community. The objective of this research is to investigate quantitative aspects of the scientific production of Information Science in relation to the Bourdieusian precepts of distinction and positioning in the field. To this end, an academic-scientific field will be taken as an excerpt, namely, the CNPq productivity fellows in this area. To achieve the proposed objective, the theoretical-reflective study was adopted as a methodology, based on the reading and inferences of Bourdieusian concepts and the use of the bibliometric approach. The sources of data collection were the CAPES Portal and the Lattes Platform. The data were processed using Excel tools and Vantage Point software. In general, there is an advantage for granting scholarships to researchers who already had processes contemplated, this fact is associated with the “power” of accumulated capital. It is observed that a researcher who reaches this scholarship tends to seek the permanence of his position of influence in the field, which culminates in a reasonable number of researchers who remain with the funding for more than fifteen or twenty years. There are indications that the number of process concessions is a tool to regulate the number of researchers. Thirty percent of the researchers had mobility from one category to another higher, indicating that there is a need for greater investment of time to ascend in the categories. As for the profile of the fellows, the group is formed by a female majority. There is a balanced proportion of the typology of the scholarship in the genres, this data denotes that there are no signs of the “gender” factor being preponderant for the distinction in the typology of the scholarships. The proportion of foreign researchers is very small in relation to national researchers, which may indicate that this field in Brazil does not present a distinction related to nationality. The two most used forms of scientific communication for fellows are journals and congresses. Most articles are published in national journals. The CBT guidelines are greater than the master's, which in turn are greater than the doctorate, which surpass the postdoc. The narrowing of the guidelines can represent that the higher titles are more scarce, demonstrating that the distinction and positioning that a legitimate title occurs in stops and the dispute becomes more fierce along the way. The indicators analyzed in this research reveal the distinction and positioning of the field of Information Science, but it does not mean that they condition researchers, this dynamic occurs through the structure and behavior of agents in the field, as described by Bourdieu and identified in this research, it is not a question of determinism or subjectivism, but of relations based on the dispute for positions in the scientific field.Item type:Item, Boas práticas em medicações injetáveis: uma estratégia educacional digital para profissionais e estudantes de enfermagem(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-02-26) ;Roseira, Camila Eugenia ;Figueiredo, Rosely Moralez de ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/2597491235073085https://lattes.cnpq.br/6191593587072537Safe injection practices involve measures that prevent damage to the health of the patient and the professional, such as infections. To stimulate safe practices, the availability of educational materials addressing this theme, supported by Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The objective was to build and validate educational material for nursing professionals and students aiming at good practices in the administration of injectable medications. This study consisted of the construction and validation of the Safe Injection Practices Questionnaire (SIPQ), structured in four domains for contextualization of this scenario. The SIPQ was distributed electronically to professionals enrolled in the Regional Nursing Council of Sao Paulo. In total, 1925 professionals participated in this stage. Most professionals (41.62%) it belonged to the middle level and was active in hospital service (57.45%). In general, the answers were configured within safe practices with injectables, however, some actions mentioned presented risk to infection, since the frequency "always" was indicated by: 1.24% for the reuse of the same syringe for salinization of venous accesses of different patients; 8.26% for reuse of intravenous catheter extension plugs and 2.32% for inappropriate storage of these; 80.46% for the use of gloves for the administration of intravenous injections; 12.97% for participation in training for the handling of needles and catheters with safety devices and 20.08% for the transport of syringes and needles unprotected after use. These data supported the construction and validation of the open on-line course and without tutoring " Safe Injection Practices: actions for infection control", composed of ebook (hand hygiene and actions for infection control, such as the prohibition of reuse of inputs), podcast containing actions for the professional healthcare (use of gloves, participation in training and prevention of accidents with sharps) , forum to stimulate interaction between participants and an evaluation questionnaire for certificate issuance. The course material was validated by content, being considered adequate by all evaluators, while the questions were considered clear and pertinent. To evaluate the reaction to the course, after making this available in the Portal de Cursos Abertos (PoCA), 17 participants left their perception about it, pointing to the thematic relevance and acceptability of the tools (the forum being possibly the least attractive tool). Therefore, it was noted that most nursing professionals report Safe Injection Practices, however, there are actions that should be considered in order to subsidize safe practice. To this do so, the course built, validated and made available free of charge and openly can be used as a support tool by all those involved in the area.Item type:Item, Um estudo sobre o vazio educacional no Brasil colonial(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-02-27) ;Souza, Everton Aparecido Moreira de ;Bittar, Marisa ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/3059723520472948https://lattes.cnpq.br/5018518888260743This work will analyze the building, development and deconstruction of Jesuit system education which has had place in colonial Brazil. If we consider that this period is still few explored in the academic field, we see with extremely relevance to study the education in colonial times. For this purpose, in the primary section, we will do a brief historic of creation and development of Jesuitic colleges in Brazil. In the second section, we will show the economic reasons, politicals, religious, philosophical and pedagogical which have motived the Government to choose by extinction of the Jesus Company and consequently the closing of all your colleges in Portugal territory. We will analyze, in the third section, the Pombalinas Reforms in education and will study the Educational Empty in each Brazil's Captaincy. To finalize, we will bring new ideas about the reasons which were subjacent to Educational Empty. This historical itinerary, since the creation of colleges until the Educational Empty, suits to understand the impact that was in the brazilian education the Educational Empty.Item type:Item, Conhecimentos sobre altas habilidades/superdotação na formação inicial de educadores musicais(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-02-27) ;Almeida, Alexandre Trindade de ;Costa, Maria da Piedade Resende da ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/2791098416503955https://lattes.cnpq.br/5704555302049119This research focused on the advances and the challenges in the people’s education with high abilities/giftedness in discussion with the initial training of music educators to serve these students, recognizing music as a tool and a resource for identifying and stimulating potential skills. Accordingly, the following questions were asked: i) whether the degree courses for music educators include subsidies for teaching music to the target-audience of Special Education; ii) what type of scholar program these graduates receive to attend and work with high abitlities/ giftedness students; iii) if music graduates feel prepared to teach students with hight abilities/ giftedness. The goal was to investigate and analyze the content and the knowledge related to hight abilities/ giftedness in the curriculum offered in the initial degree of music teachers. The specific objectives were: a) to verify and analyze the curricular matrices, the pedagogical projects and the contents related to high ability/giftedness in music degree courses; b) identify and analyze the interaction of undergraduate music students with the hight abilities/giftedness theme in topics of their courses; and c) identify aspects of music education that contribute to the skills development in the music’s area and in other areas. Therefore, it is a study of multiple cases, of exploratory and descriptive levels, contemplating documentary research and field studies. The procedures carried out were i) documental revision with curricular matrices, disciplinary menus and pedagogical projects of the courses; ii) application of a form to students on final stages of Bachelor degree in Music Education at three Higher Education Institutions in the state of São Paulo, seeking to verify the level of contact of these participants with the theme in their course; and iii) semi-structured interview with coordinators of two of the three courses mentioned above. The analysis procedure was performed through triangulation of data obtained from different sources. On the one hand, there was the hypothesis of a possible formative gap in music teachers, on the other hand, we tried to offer subsidies for discussion, reflection, adequacy and improvement of pedagogical proposals in different dimensions. The results indicated: low level of knowledge of undergraduate music students in the courses investigated about the theme hight abilities/giftedness; curricular arrangements with Special Education content presented in a shallow form in the official documents of the courses; challenges and proposals for the contemplation of these contents in the initial formation of music teachers.Item type:Item, Mapeamento semântico do conceito de inovação para a ciência da informação: uma análise gramático-sistêmico funcional(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-02-27) ;Matui, Natália da Conceição ;Gracioso, Luciana de Souza ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/4898201916360294https://lattes.cnpq.br/3399075959507926When educational institutions and spaces are called upon to compose and heat up the production of innovation, thinking about economic and social development, and solutions to problems that impact well-being and social life, it is also important that Information Science (IS) understand the intricacies that are the reason for the innovation concept, which explain where to understand innovation in the IS area. This research does not seek to find a standardized concept, nor does it attempt to standardize it, but the proposal is to shed light on innovation according to the conceptual associations it plays in IS, the issues associated with innovation over the years of publications in the area. The methodological theory of Systemic-Functional Grammar is used as a method, where the grammar itself is used as an informational system, and scientific productions, which form the scientific textual corpus, are the fundamental substance for the informational capture regarding ideas and of what is ignited as epistemological issues in innovation since the construction of the discipline (1953). Metrics of natural language processing (PLN) were applied to the scientific textual corpus, such as textual mining and semantic analysis, using a similarity, modularity and eigenvector centrality coefficient (TextRank). As a result, we see that in the 1980s, innovation at IS started with topics such as Social Development, Organizational Performance and Information, Knowledge and Technology. In the 1990s, Services and Products became a new reading of innovation, and from the 2000s onwards, Knowledge Management started to be evoked to deal with innovation. Finally, it was found that in the ideational field of IS, innovation is treated much more as a participant object than as a procedural movement, this because, through the data analysis, showed that CI has little maturity regarding the verbal and action paradigm that is required to understand innovation. The lack of prominence in thinking about applied research, development of artifacts in problem solutions reveals little real baggage in the area in indicating a more intimate, refined construction, proper to what makes up the concept of innovation.Item type:Item, Acidente com material biológico na equipe de Enfermagem da regional de Araraquara: caracterização das exposições ocupacionais com abandono ao tratamento(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-02-27) ;Damiani, Matilde ;Fioroni, Luciana Nogueira ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/8086810053892035 ;Silva, Geovani Gurgel Aciole dahttps://lattes.cnpq.br/6146469366214279According to the definition of the Ministry of Health, accidents at work with exposure to biological material, is a case of occurrence with any occupational category, with direct or indirect exposure of the worker to organic material potentially contaminated by pathogens (viruses, bacteria, fungi, prions, and protozoa) through material perforating or not. Such accidents, in general, affect health professionals in the exercise of their work activities, including all those who in their working process are exposed, directly or indirectly, to biological fluids. This situation is exacerbated when health workers, especially nursing professionals, who are the focus of this work, live with manifestations of dissatisfaction, illness, and lack of health protection measures, which makes them vulnerable to exercise their functions. Thus, the aim of this study is to raise and analyze work accidents with biological material reported to CEREST, in the period between 2013 and 2017, occurring in health establishments in the nursing team, with a record of abandonment, as well as identify conducts at the time of the accident and thus scale the applicability of constitutional rights against the risks to which those professionals are exposed. The results show that the municipality of Araraquara presents 50% of the 131 notifications of treatment abandonment, with the nursing technician being the most affected professional. Women represent 82.44% of these workers aged 19 to 29, the age when they are entering the job market and starting a family. Chemoprophylaxis was indicated for 15% of the victims, without additional information on the evolution of the case. The data show that treatment abandonment is frequent, with insufficient information in the Health Information System. Thus, it is urgent that CEREST Araraquara and the health managers of the municipalities of coverage, implement educational actions to prevent accidents and improve the quality of this information at SINAN.Item type:Item, Algoritmos de estimação para modelos Markovianos não-homogêneos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-02-27) ;Sabillón, Gustavo Alexis ;Zuanetti, Daiane Aparecida ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/8352484284929824https://lattes.cnpq.br/4713725426670655Hidden Markov models are a statistical paradigm which can be used to mode stochastic processeswhere the observable values are directly dependent on a sequence of hidden random variables. In the context of the hidden Markov model, the system being modeled is considered a Markovprocess with non-observable hidden states, and for each hidden state we have the emission of anobservable value. Hidden Markov models can be homogeneous or non-homogeneous.In this investigation, we present estimation procedures used with Markov models. Parametersestimation is done under Bayesian and frequentist perspectives, comparing the performance ofthese methods using metrics such as mean squared error and bias. Model selection is carried outusing different criteria such as the Bayes Information Criterion and the Deviance InformationCriterion. The smallest mean squared errors and biases were obtained using the Bayesianestimation algorithm. In the frequentist perspective, the Stochastic EM algorithm obtainedresults which were similar to the Bayesian algorithm. The EM algorithm presented problems inthe estimation procedure in all situations studiedItem type:Item, Aprendendo com os Guaranis a resistir e sonhar com terras livres(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-02-27) ;Oliveira, Ana Lucia de Castro ;Moraes, Júlio César ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/0593890728435155 ;Ferreira, Dulcinéia de Fátimahttps://lattes.cnpq.br/9339578170693084This research tried to build dialogue and approximations with the Guarani worldview. It was financed by CAPES during its development, wich made the resarch possible. It sought to understand the paths of the civilization crisis that we are going through, the unfolding, the problems and the way out to other ways of living Through the construction of intercultural dialogue, it identified that the worldview of the Guarani people is a source of inspiration in what they conceive of resistance when cultivating their customs - their culture in their existential territory - at Tekoha for thousands of years. We can affirm that the paths and strategies of the Guarani people, in the creation of a coming to be directed to preserve life, indicating an active micropolitics as an ethical compass that gives meaning on where to go, alleges Teko Porã - the beautiful life, admiring the creation of Nhanderu, dreaming of Yvy Rupa- Earth as one, free lands can help us to reaffirm utopias and to reinvent the civilizational model in crisis. The power of the encounter and what we can learn from the original peoples has shown us the relevance of the wisdom shared by these peoples and the urgency to emerge this knowledge in contemporary society.Item type:Item, Variantes reguladoras associadas à expressão alelo-específica (aseQTL) em músculo de Nelore (Bos indicus)(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-02-27) ;Bruscadin, Jennifer Jessica ;Souza, Marcela Maria de ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/5694189798410050 ;Regitano, Luciana Correia de Almeidahttps://lattes.cnpq.br/9595338480545794Brazil is a significant exporter of beef, so the improvement of Nelore, a breed mostly present in the Brazilian herd, directly impact this sector. Genomic tools can identify SNPs associated with interesting livestock phenotypes, but the selection efficiency depends on the expression of the selected alleles in the animals. Previous studies have identified 820 SNPs presenting allelespecific expression (ASE) in Nelore’s Longissimus thoracis muscle, for which we searched for regulatory SNPs associated with this allelic expression pattern, or aseQTLs (allele-specific expression quantitative trait loci). To this end, scans were performed within 1Mb windows from the SNP with ASE (ASE SNP), and subsequently, the candidate genotypes of that window were related to the allelic imbalance in the ASE SNP. For obtaining the methylation profile of aseQTLs, the candidate positions were overlapped with RRBS (Reduced Representation Bisulfite Sequencing) methylation data from 12 animals of the same population. The flanking sequences of aseQTLs were used to predict the allele-specific presence of transcription factor binding sites (TFBSs) and miRNAs. We identified 1,134 aseQTLs associated with 126 ASE SNPs. Sixteen aseQTLs were methylated in our population, 215 affected TFBSs expressed in bovine muscle, and 162 aseQTLs affected miRNA binding sites. The integration of aseQTLs with previous association studies performed in the same population showed enrichment for meat quality traits, such as tenderness, rib eye area, and intramuscular fat. AseQTLs associated with the CMYA5 gene showed high linkage disequilibrium (LD), multiple overlaps with meat quality phenotypes and prediction of binding sites for miRNAs, thus indicating potential regulatory sites for this gene. In general, the results indicate that ASE may be the result of regulation exercised by multiple aseQTLs and undergo modulation by epigenetic and cisregulatory mechanisms. The aseQTLs described had a significant influence of LD. These variants may impact the expression of genes functionally important for phenotypes that affect, among others, meat sensory characteristics, factors that are essential for consumer acceptance.Item type:Item, Fatores associados à incidência de sintomas depressivos em idosos em situação de vulnerabilidade social(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-02-27) ;Didoné, Letícia Souza ;Zazzetta, Marisa Silvana ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/2350656835896699https://lattes.cnpq.br/2949882105024464Depression is a prevalent disease in the elderly and may present, as a risk factor for the development of frailty, a syndrome associated with comorbidity, disability, low perception of quality of life, social support and previous life habits. The objective of this study was to verify factors associated with depressive symptoms in elderly people living in neighborhoods of high social vulnerability in the city of São Carlos. It was a longitudinal, descriptive and exploratory study using the quantitative method. A sample was made up of 346 elderly people, collected from 2013 to 2015 and 2016 to 2018. The following instruments were used for data collection: sociodemographic characterization, Geriatric Depression Scale, Fried Phenotype, Medical Outcames Study - Suport Social Scale, Mini Mental State Examination, Katz and Lawton Index, International Physical Activity Questionnaire, Mini Nutritional Assessment and Automatic List of Smoking and Alcohol Consumption were applied. Of the interviewees, 110 elderly people indicated some level of depressive symptoms, most of whom were women (67.3%), with a mean age of 68.0 years. There were most participants with depressive symptoms who were smokers (58.4%), did not consume alcohol (86.7%), had nutritional risk (47.4%) and were sufficiently active (71.7%). The participants' cognition was altered for both groups without (61%) and with depressive symptoms (43%) and the perception of quality of life was satisfactory for both. In terms of functionality, most participants were active for activities of daily living. For social support, participants who showed some depressive symptom showed less in all evaluated supports. As for frailty, those who had a pre-frailty level, for the most part, did not indicate any depressive symptoms (62.2%). The prevalence of the analyzed variables was only significant in those evaluated from 2015 to 2018 for frailty (p-value: 0.00974). It was pointed out that being independent for functionality (OR: 0.93) and receiving informational support (OR: 0.96) are protective factors against depression. Belonging to the female gender (OR: 3.43) and consuming one or more cigarettes per day (OR: 2.47) indicated a predictive factor for depression. The impact of depression on the incidence of frailty was not statistically significant (RR: 1.46). It was concluded that depression was not associated with frailty. Being independent for functionality and receiving informational support in social support were protective factors against depression and belong to the female gender and cigarette consumption indicated predictive factors for depression.Item type:Item, Modelo de gerenciamento de resíduos da Construção Civil (RCC) apoiado pelo método Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP)(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-02-27) ;Direitinho, Romão Manuel Leitão Carrapato ;Marques Neto, José da Costa ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/2392932422695163https://lattes.cnpq.br/7860027005969838The main problem situations faced by cities, almost twenty years after the implementation of CONAMA Resolution No. 307/2002, which came to regulate the main stages of the management of RCC's, continue to be related to inadequate destinations of huge quantities produced of these residues. Much has been done since then to improve this type of situation in the country. However, most academic research on the subject almost always addresses this issue from a public, municipal perspective, which of course is different from the perspective of private builders, not least because there is a line of profit break to separate them. In this sense, more than a survey was concerned with developing computer tools to support the municipal management of RCC's. Contrary to what happens for private agents (construction companies). This thesis comes in some way to bridge this gap, with the development of two free programs (one based on the MMAD AHP), and an empirical mathematical model, which work together to try to optimize the management of RCC's produced on construction sites of vertical multifamily buildings, and to assist Brazilian private builders.Item type:Item, Parâmetros de resistência de RSU: abordagem probabilística para análises de estabilidade de taludes de aterros de resíduos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-02-27) ;Daciolo, Leonardo Vinícius Paixão ;Boscov, Maria Eugenia Gimenez ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/5142308157182335 ;Correia, Natália de Souzahttps://lattes.cnpq.br/2172645507238077For landfill designs, the practice of adopting Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) shear strength parameters is often realized based on the values available in the literature, due to the difficulties associated with sampling and testing procedure, especially in the design phase. The high dispersion of these data, due to different methods and samples used, makes it difficult to carry out geotechnical analyzes with confidence, generating uncertainties for designers. In this scenario, the probabilistic slope stability analyzes appear as an alternative to traditional methodologies, enabling the evaluation of uncertainties in the process of obtaining MSW strength parameters and in during project. These analyzes demand knowledge and understanding of the statistical behavior of the variables involved in MSW shear strength parameters. Although compilations and recommendations for MSW shear strength parameters are available in the literature, none of these studies concentrated a large volume of data by the type of test and sample characteristics to analyze variability. This research aimed to evaluate and characterize the statistical behavior of MSW shear strength parameters regarding probabilistic analyzes of landfill stability. For this purpose, a statistical meta-analysis of an extensive bibliographic survey of available data on MSW geotechnical parameters was conducted. Adjustments of distribution, descriptive statistics, position and dispersion of these data were analyzed, according to methodologies for classifying these properties. As general results, it was found that the classification of MSW data helped in the lower dispersion of data, through the collection of data with similar mechanical-morphological characteristics. This process made it possible to propose recommendations for the adoption of parameters for each type of MSW. These results were applied in the failure analysis of the Sítio São João Landfill, in Sao Paulo State, Brazil. The probabilistic stability analyzes conducted showed that the results obtained here can be used in analysis and as decision-making tools to mitigate the risks of geotechnical designs, also assisting in the evaluation of tests and researches with MSW.Item type:Item, Guardar já? Mas a gente ainda nem brincou! Um estudo sobre tempos e espaços para brincar na educação infantil do município de Votorantim(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-02-27) ;Nascimento, Angelica Paola dos Santos Ferreira ;Santos, Maria Walburga dos ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/2954227254025696https://lattes.cnpq.br/1606867523617086This research investigated the times and spaces of playing in the early childhood education, whose were told by the educators from institutions of Votorantim, a country city in the state of Sao Paulo, in Brazil. Therefore, the guiding question of this study was: what importance teachers attribute to playing within the institutionalized space of early childhood education. It was based on the methodology of qualitative research, using semi-structured interviews, according to the theoretical basis of childhood studies in Brazil and also linked to studies about playing, supported by Kishimoto, Brougère and Carneiro's studies. The general objective was to understand how, where and when the times and spaces dedicated to playing take place at school, as well as whether childhood educators got the valuing of playing on their training. The choice of the theme is justified by its relevance, for the fields of Education and childhood studies, since the times and spaces of playing have decreased more and more in society (Kishimoto, 1986). Thus, as the institution of early childhood education is the environment where children have more contact between peers, to exist the playing, the times and spaces must be a driver for educational practices, grounded by teacher training that recognizes and values the specificities of childhood.Item type:Item, Fatores associados à espiritualidade e religiosidade de idosos cuidadores e não cuidadores(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-02-27) ;Souza, Érica Nestor ;Pavarini, Sofia Cristina Iost ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/1983620301963081 ;Gratão, Aline Cristina Martinshttps://lattes.cnpq.br/7873339343111119For the elderly, spirituality and religiosity can be a resource to face the adversities of the aging process. For the elderly caregivers, emotional support tools that assist in the performance of care activities. The objective of this research was to analyze which sociodemographic factors, emotional aspects, mental health and social support are associated with the spirituality and religiosity of elderly caregivers and non-caregivers. This is a quantitative, cross-sectional, observational and exploratory study with a comparison group carried out with elderly caregivers (n = 85) and non-caregivers (n = 84) registered at Family Health Units in a city in the interior of São Paulo. The instruments for data collection were: sociodemographic and care characterization; Pinto e Pais-Ribeiro Spirituality Scale (EEPP-R); Duke's Religious Scale (DUREL); Addenbrooke's Cognitive Exam - Revised (ACE-R); Perceived Stress Scale (PSS); Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS); Lawton and Brody scale and Social Support Scale MOS. Used to analyze simple and multiple linear regression with Stepwise selection criteria and significance index of p≤0.05. All ethical precepts were followed. As for the results, in both groups, there was a prevalence of females, the average age was 69.6 years in caregivers and 70.8 in non-caregivers. As for religion, the prevalence in both groups was Catholic. For caregivers, the average score on the evaluation scales was 3.5 on the global EEPP-R; 2.8 of organizational religiosity (RO), 1.6 non-organizational religiosity (RNO) and 4.4 intrinsic religiosity (IR); 62.8 in the ACE-R; 3.7 in the GDS; 18.6 in the PSS; 54.1% independent on the Lawton and Brody scale and highest average 89.8 on the MOS affective support. As for non-caregivers, 3.4 in the global EEPP-R; 2.5 RO, 1.8 RNO and 4.2 RI; 62.0 in the ACE-R; 3.6 in the GDS; 16.7 in the PSS; 61.4% with partial dependence on the Lawton and Brody scale and a higher average of 91.6 in the MOS emotional support. In conclusion in the analysis of multiple linear regression, the factors associated with a higher spirituality score in elderly caregivers were: having greater material support, without depressive symptoms, receiving enough affective / emotional help, being female and having a lot of satisfaction with life. For non-caregivers, a higher spirituality score was related to a lot of satisfaction with life, being younger, with cognitive impairment and with independence in instrumental activities of daily living. A higher religiosity score in elderly caregivers was associated with being Catholic, without a partner and male, and for non-caregivers they were Catholic, with depressive symptoms, being little satisfied with life and having greater family income.Item type:Item, Um estudo da qualidade da água do rio dos Porcos: indícios de aprendizagem de conceitos científicos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-02-27) ;Curti, Laís Zambini Coletto ;Marques, Clélia Mara de Paula ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/0451284088402660https://lattes.cnpq.br/8294881840942780Chemistry teaching aims to establish relations with an approach in Science, Technology, Society and Environment, it is becoming more and more important and necessary nowadays. The school has the role of forming citizens who are able to reconcile their knowledge acquired in the school environment together with the social environment where they live. With the environmental problems that arise and in the face of discussions about the nature of scientific knowledge and its role in society, a movement has grown around the world that has come to reflect critically on the relationship between Science, Technology and Society. In carrying out this research, a didactic sequence divided into eighteen classes was used, nine steps to investigate the water quality of the Rio dos Porcos. The development started with the application of a questionnaire and the initial concept map. Later, through teaching by investigation, four experiments were chosen by students in magazine articles and carried out with the water collected from three points in Rio by the students. The results were discussed based on current legislation and showed that the population of Taquaritinga has an impact on the Rio dos Porcos, mainly at the point located near the local school of study. To complete the study, students answered a final questionnaire and reworked the initial concept map and built a website where the link is available on the school's website. With this, the local population will have access to the main analyzes and their results at no cost. The students were able to establish CTSA relationships after the application of the didactic sequence and it was possible to notice signs of learning both with the application of the questionnaires and with the concept maps. The experimental investigative activities used were characterized by promoting the valuation of experimentation in the Teaching of Chemistry and when associated with a theme that allowed contextualization, the activity had an effective contribution in learning, involving students and the teacher. The proposed theme on water quality in Rio dos Porcos allowed to associate the content to be explored in the 2nd year of the Chemistry Technician integrated to high school, with the discipline of Environmental Chemistry.Item type:Item, Efeitos do treinamento muscular ventilatório sobre a hemodinâmica, variabilidade da frequência cardíaca e músculos periféricos e diafragma em ratos com diabetes mellitus(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-02-27) ;Costa, Cínthia de Sousa ;Araújo, Adriana Sanches Garcia de ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/0104886088821769 ;Silva, Audrey Borghihttps://lattes.cnpq.br/4855616925791895Introduction: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is one of the main chronic diseases that affects the population, being considered a serious public health problem. Ventilatory muscle training (VMT) has been shown to improve clinical outcomes in DM patients, however, little is known about its effect on some pathophysiological mechanisms of DM. Still, no study has verified the hemodynamic mechanisms, heart rate control and muscle variability promoted by VMT in DM. Objectives: To verify the effects of VMT on hemodynamics, heart rate variability (HRV) DM rats induced by streptozotocin infusion (STZ). Study Design: Animal experimental study. Methods: Thirty-six male Wistar rats were randomized into 4 groups: sham group - sedentary (Sham-ST; n = 9); sham group with VMT (Sham- VMT; n = 9); DM group - sedentary (DM-ST; n = 8) and DM group with VMT (DM- VMT; n = 8). Hemodynamics were assessed by central cannulation and HRV was calculated by ECG. In addition, muscle cross-sectional area of diaphragm, anterior tibial and soleus were verified. Results: Induction of DM by STZ resulted in weight loss, hyperglycemia, reduced blood pressure, increased HR and slower left ventricular contraction and relaxation (P <0.05). We also observed a decrease in the RMSSD index, and in the cross-sectional area of the muscles, they showed a smaller area of muscle fibers in the diaphragm, soleus and anterior tibial muscles in diabetic rats (P <0.05). Interestingly, however, TMV led to an attenuation of HR in healthy animals and an increase in RMSSD in diabetic rats (P <0.05). Conclusion: The induction of DM produces profound deleterious changes in the diaphragmatic and peripheral muscles, with impairments in cardiovascular hemodynamics and in autonomic control. However, TMV can beneficially attenuate autonomic changes, with an improvement in parasympathetic modulation.Item type:Item, Revisão sistemática sobre produção de vídeos na escola para alunos surdos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-02-27) ;Kawase, Eduarda Megumi ;Santos, Lara Ferreira dos ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/7312070448044165https://lattes.cnpq.br/4451645798465778With more signs inscribed in the visuality and the disposition of the deaf, the learning process can be more accessible. Thus, in addition to privileging sign language, there is a need to privilege the use of instruments that are constituted in and by visuality, thus emphasizing video as an important medium to be used in the education of the deaf. In this research we asked about the existence of video productions in the school context of deaf students, so this research aimed to investigate dissertations and theses that presented the theme “video production in school for deaf students”, in electronic databases, in the period from 2005 to 2019. From the specific objectives, we sought to characterize the circumscribed dissertations on the theme “video production at school for deaf students” and describe and analyze how these video productions presented in the dissertations deal with deaf students' learning and concept formation based on the historical-cultural theoretical and visuality. The results showed that video production at school for deaf students has been taking place in some realities. From the video productions presented in the works, we note on the one hand the use of video as an instrument that accompanies the activities of deaf students and on the other as a medium that provides learning. With the study we have evidenced that the video productions present contributions to the education of the deaf and that in relation to the aid in the formation of scientific concepts, this develops when students are involved in the video production process, in this type of proposal students actively participate of activity, which favors interaction with peers and with the subject studied, as well as narrating and recording in the first language, which enables the organization of thought through sign language.Item type:Item, Ensino coletivo de violão em um assentamento do movimento dos trabalhadores rurais sem terra(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-02-27) ;Chagas, Anderson Moisés Barbosa Souza ;Joly, Ilza Zenker Leme ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/5569335876343450https://lattes.cnpq.br/9078893103305684The present work proposes an investigation on educational processes arising from the social practice of collective guitar teaching in a Landless Workers' Movement - MST, located in the city of Serra Azul - SP. We understand that educational processes are inherent to, and at the same time, social practices. In this context, and with the perspective that many learnings can arise from the coexistence between the participants, we will seek to answer the research questions related to: what are the educational processes arising from the social practice of collective guitar teaching in the MST Settlement? How can these processes become a potential for teaching and learning? To this end, as an objective I sought to identify, describe and understand the possible educational processes arising from collective guitar teaching. The search for results took place through the participatory research methodology, in which the data collection started from an insertion in the time space of the classes, during the performance of daily activities. As a memory resource, field diaries were used during the data collection and insertion period. We believe that research can contribute to the production and construction of knowledge related to music education, social practices and educational processes, as it has evidenced educational processes related to: learning from each other; autonomy and protagonism. The analysis of the aforementioned educational processes contributed to the understanding of the importance of developing a humanizing educational praxis, in the most diverse work environments that a musical educator may be inserted in.Item type:Item, Rastreamento da doença renal crônica em idosos cuidadores cadastrados na atenção primária à saúde(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-02-27) ;Bento, Sirlei Ricarte ;Orlandi, Fabiana de Souza ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/7395879552721664 ;Pavarini, Sofia Cristina Iosthttps://lattes.cnpq.br/1983620301963081Currently, there is a progressive increase in the number of elderly people providing care to another elderly person. The task of caring can harm the health of the caregiver. Elderly caregivers are more prone to comorbidities that, in most cases, are identified as risk factors for chronic kidney disease (CKD). Thus, this dissertation aims to assess the risk for CKD and to identify the factors associated with CKD in elderly caregivers of elderly in primary health care. And to answer this objective, this work is organized in the form of articles. The first article presents an integrative review of the literature on the methods of screening CKD in the population. A search for studies was conducted in the period 2014-2018, in English, Portuguese and Spanish in the following databases: SCIELO, LILACS, PubMed and SCOPUS, using the following combination of descriptors: "screening" AND "renal insufficiency chronic ". For the selection of the articles, the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis method was used. As a result, most of them used the measurement of serum creatinine and glomerular filtration rate. Among the screening instruments, three studies used Screening for Occult Renal Disease, which can contribute to the development of accessible and low-cost strategies for screening CKD in the population. The second article presents the results of the risk of CKD and the associated factors. A transversal study with elderly (n = 111) familiar caregivers of elderly with whom they lived was conducted, and for such, the instruments for data collection were characterization questionnaires of sociodemographic, clinical, care and screening for hidden kidney disease for evaluation of the risk of chronic kidney disease. All ethical precautions were observed. Descriptive statistics were performed and for the SCORED instrument, analyzes were performed with and without the age item for CKD screening. For the associated factors, a multiple logistic regression analysis was performed using the stepwise forward method. The risk of CKD was 99.1% and after excluding the age variable from the questionnaire, a risk of 15.3% was observed. The number of medications was the factor associated with the risk of chronic kidney disease (OR = 1.257). In conclusion, the risk of CKD in elderly caregivers for the elderly is high and the use of medication is associated with this risk. It is vital that health professionals are trained to implement strategies to prevent future health problems for elderly caregivers with early identification of the risk for CKD, avoiding the burden on the health system.
