Multi-label classification a machine learning task whose objective is to generate models capable of learning relationships between descriptive characteristics of objects and the sets of classes to which such objects belong. In certain applications, it is important for the models to be interpretable so that their users can trust it or so that its predictions can be explained. In this research, we investigated the generation of multi-label classification models based on consistent sets of rules. We proposed an evolutionary algorithm and two auxiliary algorithms that guide the rule generation process, ensuring that the rules created were consistent with each other. A set of rules is consistent if whenever multiple rules covers an object, such rules predict the same set of classes. The proposed evolutionary algorithm utilized multi-objective optimization techniques to generate collections of classification models that offer different compromises between interpretability and predictive power. Experiments were conducted with the proposed algorithms and with algorithms from the literature and, based on statistical analysis, we concluded that the generated models were, in terms of interpretability, superior to those generated by literature's algorithms and, in terms of predictive power, they were comparable to most.

Da produção à aplicação de ácidos fortes
(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-06-25) Fernandes, Mirella; Carlos, Rose Maria; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1589143355309943; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7537427630007151
This work presents and analyzes the transition between the bench production process of a given product and the steps that lead to interest in industrial production. The theme addresses the history of acids, their importance and the reason why over time their production was rescheduled for industrial production increasing. Taking sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid as an example, this work presents a flowchart of the preparation up to the production chain. In this context, we describe how the market reacts with the variation in supply and demand and how this defines the decision to increase production. Finally, we present a market survey using the fertilizer sector as an example to show the importance and function played by sulfuric acid in the production chain.

This qualitative and exploratory study aims to analyze the perspectives of a group of foreign language learners about what they claim to have learned from the English language, mostly through music and without the mediation of a teacher. In addition, we seek to find out how these students explain the English language learning, seeking to recognize the interfaces between their statements and their strategies for learning the target language. To this end, we rely on studies on the approach and / or culture of learning languages conducted by Almeida Filho (2010, 2014 and 2015) and which address precepts or practices underlying the act of learning a Foreign Language. We focus, through the studies of Ferraço de Paula (2008), on the spontaneous competence of learning languages whose approach is determined by the traditions of learning and reflected in the practices and habits of studying. We were also interested in investigating how factors such as learning strategies, Oxford (2003), used by the research participants reflect their culture of learning languages. Other fundamentals and concepts, likewise, served as supporting pillars for the development of this study, such as motivation in the context of foreign language learning, Gardner (2005, 2010, 2012) and Deci and Ryan (1975, 2000). Studies by other researchers also contributed to the composition of the theoretical framework. To the data production, this research included a semi-structured questionnaire and an interview script that guided us in conducting this study. Through data analysis, the following results can be obtained: language spontaneous competence is evident in the procedures demonstrated by the participants. The recognition of the culture of learning languages and the learning strategies adopted by these learners influenced by their peculiar styles of learning and by an intrinsic orientation allowed us to glimpse their attitudes, beliefs and motivations in conducting their autonomous learning.

The city of Cumari is located in the southeast of Goiás state and is predominantly covered by the Brazilian Savanna (Cerrado). This biome is considered a biodiversity hotspot and for this reason this area has priority for conservation actions. The Cerrado Mammals Conservation Program (Programa de Conservação Mamíferos do Cerrado - PCMC) promotes some of these actions through its diverse research with carnivores of the region (especially canids). However, the PCMC team recognize the need to improve environmental education actions for conservation with the local community. To fill this gap, the present research sought to understand how the application of diagnostics and participatory methodologies can assist in the planning and execution of actions that comprise a process of community engagement in socio-environmental issues and scientific research. This process was based in critical environmental education (EE) and participatory methodologies like Intervention Research, Action-Research, Social Learning and Citizen Science. The first stage thorough a meticulous collaborative diagnosis of the community using questionnaires and group interviews (focal group) to establish and characterize the main research participant-public (teenagers - high school students) and what actions would be taken. Following the diagnosis conclusion, the second stage was initiated, which consisted of educational interventions with the participant-public, such as EE actions, research activities and diffusion actions. Throughout this process some challenges have arisen, however the community actively collaborated in all actions, as well as became familiar and in close contact with conservation and science research conducted in the region. In addition, the community interest in participate and contribute to local socio-environmental issues was observed.

Introduction: The evaluation of the pelvic floor musculature (MAP) is important because through this it is possible to verify possible dysfunctions of the floor musculature pelvic floor (DMAP) that can have repercussions in urinary and fecal incontinence, prolapse of pelvic organs and sexual dysfunction Therefore, one of the methods of evaluating the MAP's function is through bidigital palpation using the PERFECT scheme. Objective: To evaluate the inter and intra-examiner reproducibility of the PERFECT scheme for evaluation of the pelvic floor musculature by means of bidigital vaginal palpation. Materials and methods: This is a test-retest reproducibility study. Were 41 women were evaluated, with a mean age of 23.7 years old (with standard deviation 3.9). A researcher carried out the participants' anamnesis and randomization of the order of the examiners who underwent bidigital vaginal palpation and graduation of the MAP function through the PERFECT scheme (P = ”power”, voluntary contraction maximum (CVM); E = "endurance", maximum sustained contraction (CSM); R = ”repetition”, repetitions of CSM contractions; F = ”fast”, repetitions of fast contractions ”; ECT = ”every contraction timed”, monitoring contractions). It was adopted a time of ten-minute rest between assessments. One of the examiners repeated the assessment 7-10 days from the first meeting. The reproducibility of the data was analyzed using of the kappa coefficient test for ordinal data, and intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) for numerical data. Results: Inter-examiner reproducibility was considered moderate for the items “P” (k = 0.57), “E” (ICC = 0.53) and “F” (ICC = 0.65) and low for item “R” (ICC = 0.27). Intra-examiner reproducibility was substantial for the item “P” (k = 0.62), moderate for items “E” (ICC = 0.62) and “F” (ICC = 0.55) and low for item item “R” (ICC = 0.26). Conclusion: CVM reproducibility was greater when performed by just one researcher. However, the assessment of sustained contraction and repetitions of fast and slow contractions shows equal reproducibility in the evaluations performed by one researcher at two different times, or by two researchers at one same evaluation day.

(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-06-25) Catarino, Caroline Muniz; Gramani-Say, Karina; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5096508613057074; Gomes, Grace Angélica de Oliveira; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9231669265846900; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2039093791637384
Introduction: In recent years, the epidemiological picture has shown that chronic non-communicable diseases are increasingly prevalent. Consequently, there is an increase in the use of health services, which causes greater expenses for the public health system. Offering health promotion actions in Primary Health Care is considered an effective strategy for healthy aging. Thus, participation in these actions can have an economic impact for users and the public health system. Objective: To evaluate the relationship between health promotion actions offered in Primary Care and the use of health services in the city of São Carlos, SP. Methods: It was a longitudinal and retrospective research which found health promotion actions in all health units in the municipality and analyzed the medical records and attendance records of the participants in the actions, in order to verify how they used the health network at the primary level, compared to those who did not participate, with a sample of 496 people. Number of visits, reasons for seeking service, professional responsible for the service, number of tests and number of medications were analyzed. The study followed all ethical aspects of research. Descriptive analyzes and intergroup comparison were performed using the statistical package Software Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) considering the value of p ≤0.05, with the Mann Whitney Test for comparison between groups. Results: Of the 28 units analyzed, 71% had health promotion actions, divided into two categories:a) supervised body/manual activities (40,6%), and b) health education activities (59,4%). The average age of the participating group was 60,6 years (SD±13,1) and the non participating group was 60,4 years (SD±13,0). Of the 3252 consultations analyzed, there was a statistically significant difference between the groups for the variables number of visits, number of medications and number of tests. Conclusion: Individuals who participated in health promotion actions used the health service more due the strengthening of the bond with the health unit, promoted through participation in the actions, which positively influenced the adherence of recommendations for maintaining health and disease prevention by health service users.

The Alto Huallaga Valley, rural territory of the Peruvian Andean Amazon, has been associated with long-lasting social representations that mainly relate it to drug trafficking and political violence. Despite its high historiographic detachment, this image has played an essential role in quenching the repertoires of resistance that the peasant movement has been displaying in response to the asymmetries that the republican national project has triggered in the region. After a secular abandonment and in a kind of continuity with colonial projects, the mercantile turn has been expressed here, between political messianism and exceptional languages, through a developmental discourse on population, market and territory. And it has done so throughout its four different constitutive cycles: i) colonization projects, ii) the cocalization of its economy, iii) the armed conflict and iv) the policies of the so-called "alternative development". This study, halfway between oral history and ethnographic work, eclectic from the methodological point of view, aims to reconstruct, in its complexity, the social history of Alto Huallaga; critically contrasting the official account with the experiences of the peasant sectors that express the social impact and the limits of the modernizing project. Likewise, it seeks to enhance a ruralistic, diachronic and subordinate perspective that replaces the centrality that until today the security dimension of the conflict have deserved. Finally, it is hoped to contribute to rethinking the historical fabric of contemporary Peruvian society, without losing the perspective of the subjects located on its margins.
