The world production of cocoa is in the order of a few million tons per year and is restricted to tropical areas such as Brazil, Indonesia and the West Africa, with emphasis on the Ivory Coast and Ghana. The intensive use of pesticides and other agricultural pesticides, contaminated water, mining, air pollutants and soil composition are factors that can potentially incorporate potentially harmful concentrations of metals such as lead, cadmium and nickel into cocoa trees and their products. The presence of contaminants in chocolate mainly affects children, who are major consumers of the product, as they absorb these metals more easily and are also more vulnerable to contamination. From the databases available in the literature, a neural network capable of estimating the lead concentration in chocolate bars was developed with aluminum and copper concentrations as inputs. The network was designed using the MatLab R2015a Neural Network toolbox, and the results obtained had a coefficient of determination of 0.9760 for the 61 points used in the training and 0.9846 for the 6 verification points, a satisfactory performance both in adjustment and generalization. Through the calculated weights and biases, it is possible with few calculations to estimate lead concentrations for chocolate samples with known aluminum and copper concentrations, an application with great potential for financial and operational savings for the cocoa derivatives industry.

The contribution of multi-storey garage buildings to the provision of parking in modern cities, derived from maximizing the use of urban space associated with its verticalization, can be optimized by adopting the construction system associated with the most appropriate building implementation. The characteristics of this type of construction indicate that the most industrialized structural systems present themselves with high synergy of application, highlighting the precast concrete. Knowing that the analysis of the structural system that makes up the floor slab can generate significant knowledge about material consumption and the general characteristics associated with the execution of a project, since this component has a high proportion in the building's volume, this work arises with the intention of a comparative analysis between slab composition systems composed of pre-molded prestressed honeycomb and section TT panels, in order to generate a quantitative base of the indexes associated with these options and the verification of the most appropriate structural system for application, from the realization of the structural design of the same type of garage building, considering the other study hypotheses.

Grupos de tranças de superfícies finitamente perfuradas e grupos cristalográficos
(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-12-07) Diniz, Renato dos Santos; Uribe, Oscar Eduardo Ocampo; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7834219229605868; Vendrúscolo, Daniel; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8602232587914830; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5286474662045113
The link between braid groups on surfaces and crystallographic groups has become such an interesting topic. In the last years some advances were found in the studies of this relation, specially in the case of Artin braid groups and braid groups on closed surfaces (orientable or non-orientable). Our thesis work was strongly inspired by the works in [39] and [42], since here we finish the last cases about surfaces, to which we could ask: is there a relation between braid groups on surfaces and crystallographic groups? Here we analyse, with details, the interaction between braid groups on closed surfaces (orientable or non-orientable) with a finite number of points removed and crystallographic groups. Let X be a closed and finitely punctured surface (orientable or non-orientable). We present new results when X is a closed and finitely punctured surface (orientable or non-orientable) that has a link with crystallographic groups. We prove that the quotient group $B_n(X)\P'_n(X)$ is a crystallographic group, we characterize the finite order elements, i. e., we analyse its torsion subgroup and study the conjugacy classes of the finite order elements. When X is a non-orientable closed and finitely punctured surface with genus $g \geq 2$, we calculate a presentation for the braid groups $P_n(X)$ and $B_n(X)$. In the case of $Pn(X)$, we couldn't find any other presentation in the literature.

The objective of this work is to reflect on the macro trends of environmental education (conservationist, pragmatic and critical) presented in the textbooks, having as object of study the sustainability handouts of the Sorocaba Municipal Secretariat of Education, used in the early years of elementary school. The methodology used for a qualitative analysis; documentary and bibliographic. The theoretical and methodological bases that inspire this work are from the macro trends of environmental education and of critical-transforming Environmental Education. The work highlights the role of Environmental Education: history, macro trends and hegemony, curricula and educational norms and category analysis. About the textbook, a survey addresses its history in Brazil, especially in the period of dictatorship until 2020, its financial, political, pedagogical and ideological costs. In the analysis of bankruptcy, the clipping of the booklet “Solid waste and consumption”, with the following categories of analysis: man's relations with nature, social equality, quality of life, raw materials and the State. We realize that the book is close to the pragmatic and conservationist view, as it aligns with aspects of individual blame, conservative values, individualistic and meritocratic attitudes, to the minimum state and generic solutions.

Democratic Management in Public Institutions of Higher Education (PIHE), in addition to resource management, provides for the interrelation of pedagogical management, access to the curriculum, spaces, conducts and cultural interactions. However, IPES has traditionally tended to subdivide and fragment their actions, distancing themselves from the perspective of accessibility, which encourages the cooperative interrelation of concrete and achievable elements and practices. Thus, the The present research aimed to identify, describe and analyze elements that (make up) the management democracy in the process of curriculum differentiation and accessibility in Education courses Superior of an PIHE in the state of São Paulo. This is a field study, with the participation of students with and without disabilities, teachers and managers and, based on institutional documents and legislation, is configured as a documentary study. The data were collected through interviews and observation, in addition to identification and systematization of documents. Therefore, it is a qualitative research and approached in the light of the analysis of content. The results of the study indicated the (de) construction of conceptions about disabilities and vocational training, as well as the identification of practical possibilities and positive attitudes. In addition, the elements identified and cooperatively discussed together with institutional managers, managers of undergraduate courses, teachers and students with and without disabilities, subsidized the legal recognition and institutionalization of the Curricular Differentiation and Accessibility (DAC) in the studied IPES. The present research suggests that the developments that DAC will make possible for Brazilian Higher Education should be carefully analyzed, from their planning to the transition of university students with deficiencies in the labor market, involving micro, meso, exo, chrono and macrocontext.

Since the invention of writing several techniques were created related to it and also reading. One of these was metaphorically described by Seneca in his Epistles. According to this philosopher’s understanding, reading and writing can be compared to the “bees”’ work, which collect pollen, from flower to flower, to make honey. Similarly to the bees’ pollen collecting, readers read and select the best texts and posteriorly the best phrases from such texts, gathering and regrouping them into notebooks. Thus, having their readings’ best “material” at hand, those readers could make the good quality “final product”, as their own written texts or oral speeches. In the long term, many were the subjects of different cultures that dedicated themselves to this task of establishing procedures and guidelines, as well as using these procedures related to text reading and phrase collection aiming to produce other texts, oral or written, for distinct purposes, being those texts either from the same genre and field of those where phrases were collected, or very distinct. In this thesis, we dedicate ourselves to analyze and describe some specificities in the appropriation of this reading and writing technique, by relevant brazilian intellectuals, from the second half of 19th century and first half of 20th century, namely, the jurist Rui Barbosa and sociologist Florestan Fernandes, as evidenced in their “notebooks”. To compose our notes corpus from these two intellectuals, we resorted to the collections “Fundação Casa de Rui Barbosa” and “Fundo Florestan Fernandes”, which get together documents, works and objects from these intellectuals. We selected, from their collections, 3 (three) notebooks from each author, all classified and available in the “produção intelectual” series. For that material’s analysis, we lean on Discourse Analysis and Cultural History’s principles and concepts. As any other cultural object, these notebooks point to discourses and representations that are in their production’s origin and determination of existence's cultural conditions. Rui Barbosa and Florestan Fernandes are subjects from a time-space and consequently are subject to the discourses and representations shared with their contemporaries. Those representations have a history, are socially and culturally determined by what the subjects know, believe, enunciate and practice. The way they read, select phrases, preserve them, collect and classify them, how they write their texts and constitute their works is greatly due to discourses and representations about what is reading, writing, what is to be an intellectual, writer, author in their time and in our society. Because of this reason, in spite of the similarities they present, these intellectuals differ in the technique’s usage and the ends and usages in their end-texts. One essential difference between them lies in the support given by themselves to those annotations: Rui Barbosa prefers loose pages; Florestan Fernandes the notebooks. Also, we observed that Rui Barbosa is “less organized”, more speculative, more literary in his phrase selection and how these are collected; Florestan Fernandes is “more organized”, more systematic, more didactic with this legacy.
