Análise dos determinantes de estrutura de capital das principais empresas do setor de transporte aéreo civil brasileiro

There is still no consensus in the financial literature regarding the companies’ capital structure determinants. This discussion has been going on since Durant (1952) proposed the traditional theory - which predicts that there is an ideal configuration of the way companies finance themselves - and was opposed by Modigliani and Miller (1958) - who developed the theory that there is no ideal configuration. Since then, several empirical studies have been developed to test these theses and new ideas have emerged on the subject. However, most of these studies have been carried out in markets quite different from the Brazilian one and, even in these, definitive convictions about the theoretical assumptions of the subject have not yet been defined. This work aims to continue these empirical studies by validating theoretical hypotheses based on data collected from the financial statements of the 3 largest companies in the Brazilian civil air transport sector. For this, using quarterly accounting data extracted from the websites of the companies studied, the statistical technique of multiple linear regression was used, which allowed to evaluate the relationship (positive or negative) between the defined accounting indices and to test the hypotheses raised. The results suggest that the profitability factor is decisive for the companies' capital structure and does not allow us to draw any further conclusions about the others.

The present work aims to map the profile of the investor of Real Estate Investment Funds in Brazil, based on the analysis of responses collected in a market survey and also to conclude the list of indicators of the São Paulo Stock Exchange Index (IBOV) and Credit of Interbank Deposit (CDI) before the Real Estate Investment Funds Index (iFIX), using the Multiple Linear Regression algebraic method. In this context, the study proves the greater sensitivity of iFIX linked to the IBOV, characterizing the asset within variable income products, which are adequate and generally present in the portfolio of investors with a moderate profile.

The paper "Conformal geometry, Euler numbers, and global invertibility in higher dimensions”, by Frederico Xavier, crosses different areas of Mathematics in order to obtain its main result. Among them we have Differential Geometry and Complex Analysis. So, in looking for a better preparation to read the cited paper, this work gathers great part of our study of both areas. We emphasise firstly curves and surfaces, and then complex analytic functions.
Uma análise do aplicativo Moodle Mobile para pessoas com deficiência visual

Due to the rapid evolution in the efficiency and the popularity of mobile devices, these devices have become essential for the daily lives of most people. In this context, accessibility tools and techniques must follow this progress in order to guarantee the accessibility for people with disabilities to the resources provided by these devices. This work seeks to identify which techniques, resources, and guidelines are the most used to support the design and evaluation of accessible mobile applications, with a focus on visual impairment. A systematic mapping was carried out to verify the state of the art in accessibility recommendations for mobile applications, for later analysis of the Moodle Mobile application. Based on the systematic mapping results and considering the characteristics of the tested application, the WCAG 2.1 was chosen as the guideline to be used in the analysis of the application. The results of this analysis were documented by principle and tested against its success criteria. Each of the WCAG 2.1 success criteria was tested when applicable, and adaptations were made to the criterion if necessary. In case of failure, the criterion was identified and mapped along with the location where it occurs in the application. With the presentation of all the criteria that were sufficient or failed, it was concluded that the Moodle Mobile application is not in conformance according to the guidelines used in this work.

Trajetórias de pessoas com deficiência sensorial: da educação básica à superior

The present research focused on the education of people with disabilities, who completed Brazilian public higher education. Its general objective was: to analyze the school trajectory of people with disabilities who completed Brazilian public higher education; and for specific objectives: 1. To know the potential and difficulties of training for people with disabilities who have completed Brazilian public higher education; 2.Identify possible supports and supports that university students with disabilities received in the educational, family, clinical scope, among others, in their academic path. This is a field study, using the Oral Life History method, of a descriptive character, carried out with methodological procedures based on the qualitative approach. It had as instruments of data collection a questionnaire for survey of social indicators; and a semi-structured interview script. Two people with disabilities from different regions of Brazil participated in the research, one from the Southeast and the other from the North, who were previously contacted and selected. The data were analyzed and divided into categories a) basic education: early childhood education, elementary school, high school; b) higher education: selection process, undergraduate / graduate courses; and possible supports and supports in the pedagogical, family, clinical scope, among others identified during these stages and levels. The results of the research demonstrated how challenging the schooling process is for people with disabilities and that, thinking only about access to school, is not enough, because the question of permanence goes hand in hand.
