listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Uso de protetor solar para minimizar os efeitos do excesso de luminosidade e aumento na temperatura do ar sobre a fotossíntese e pegamento de frutos em citros(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-01-07) Franceschi, Isabela Macca de; Mattos Junior, Dirceu de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8599356494482170; Schinor, Evandro Henrique; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2162760988837984; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3668644955332312The foliar application of products that act similar to a sunscreen, of the kaolin type, can prevent oxidative damage, by reducing the leaf temperature, maintaining the stomatal opening and improving the assimilation of CO2. This study aimed to evaluate the use of this sunscreen to minimize the effects of climatic stresses on photosynthesis, fruit setting, productivity and fruit quality in citrus. The experiment was conducted in an experimental orchard, of Hamlin sweet orange [Citrus sinensis (L.) Osbeck], grafted on Swingle citrumelo [C. paradisi Macf x Poncirus trifoliata (L.) Raf.], at the Sylvio Moreira Citriculture Center (IAC), municipality of Cordeirópolis, SP. The treatments were T1- control and T2- kaolin (30 g L-1). The number of buds, flowers and fruits calculated for each 100 nodes were evaluated weekly, defining the percentage of plant fruit taking, in addition to the fruit diameter after the physiological fall that occurred around 16/01/2019, in addition to fruits fixed on the east and west sides of the plant. The average leaf temperature throughout the experiment and productivity in kg of fruits were also evaluated. By measuring gas exchanges made on 8/25/2018, at two times, at 9:00 am and 1:00 pm with the help of IRGA, Li-6800, Inc. Lincoln, USA, it was defined as stomatal conductance, transpiration and assimilation of CO₂ for old leaves and new leaves, both for the east side and for the west side. At the end, the fruits were submitted to juice quality analysis. The application of kaolin during the flowering and fruit setting period did not affect the flowering intensity and the number of fixed fruits. There was no effect on leaf temperature. During the harvest of the fruits there was no effect on the final production and quality of the fruits. However, it is necessary to highlight that during the fruitful period in the 2018/19 harvest, no limiting conditions were registered for production in the state of São Paulo.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Indicadores financeiros e operacionais mais relevantes para a avaliação de desempenho de empresas não-financeiras listadas na B3(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-01-07) Neto, Miguel Tavares Ferreira; Rossetti, Nara; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4382669390423432; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4382669390423432This research seeks to analyze which financial and operational indicators most impact the performance of non-financial companies listed on the B3. The study is exploratory and was used a statistical method called factor analysis, capable of establishing from quantitative analyses the relationships and behaviors of the data studies. The indicators selected for the study were: gross margin, net margin, return on equity, return on assets, total assets, current liquidity, general liquidity, degree of indebtedness, total indebtedness, EBITDA margin, EBIT margin and asset turnover. With the results expressed, it was perceived that profitability indicators are the largest responsible for financial performance (48% of the variance recorded), followed by liquidity indicators (23%). Regarding the operational perspective, it was not possible to construct a forceful analysis, because the results obtained by the selected indicators were invalidated in the model.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Como as finanças comportamentais e a frequência de uso nas plataformas, impactam no tipo de carteira de produtos do investidor pessoa física(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-01-07) Freitas, Tiago Henrique Maragno Euzébio de; Rossetti, Nara; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4382669390423432; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4382669390423432When deciding how the investor will build his investment portfolio, intrinsic factors such as: age, gender, profession, family, technical knowledge, salary and other factors directly impact the way the investor will invest. Therefore, through a case study added to a descriptive-exploratory research, approximately 350 thousand active accounts were analyzed in an investment broker, and through the study in behavioral finance, it was possible to understand and separate investors on 5 clusters (levels), being: 1st - beginner; 2nd - advanced; 3rd - seniors, 4th - specialists and 5th - DayTrade. This result came from the analysis of the investment portfolio and the frequency of investor interaction on the broker's platforms (website and application).listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, A prática da meditação por estudantes universitários e as percepções subjetivas de mudanças na vida(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-01-07) Kayasima, Caroline; Furlan, Paula Giovana; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3590676003159251; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7897614208891703Introduction: The meditation practice has been used as an intervention strategy to deal with different current problems in the modern world such as violence, difficulty in interpersonal relationships, anxiety, stress, psychic disorders. These themes are currently relevant in the university context. Objectives: This study aims to analyze the subjective perception of changes in the lives of college students from the practice of meditation; to analyze the literature on the topic; to offer meditation practice, adapted to the university context. Methodology: Qualitative research, in two phases: literature review and intervention, with content analysis, through thematic categories and data triangulation. 38 complete articles were selected (BVS and Scielo), in Portuguese and English, published between 2013 and 2018, with the keywords meditation OR mindfulness AND students. The intervention took place in 2019 with two classes, in 10 meetings of 30 minutes each and followed a script of mindfulness and cultivation of virtues elaborated in this research. Inclusion criteria: students at the Federal University of São Carlos enrolled for at least one semester, either undergraduate or graduate. All participants answered the initial question "What motivates you to be in a meditation group?" and the final question “What did the meditation group reflect on your life?”. Review data were compared with the results of the intervention, through the thematic categories. Results and discussion: Of the articles analyzed, only two were Brazilian and seven, qualitative research. There was a predominance of research using the mindfulness technique. Inclusion and exclusion criteria, benefits, methods of intervention and evaluation of results, presence of psychiatric symptoms, difficulties and singularities were observed. Sixteen studies adopted case-control research and the majority worked with short meditations. 32 people participated in the intervention, including 16 in the research. The participation of undergraduate students predominated. The benefits were categorized into: mental health, knowing meditation / creating routine, quality of life, self-care / self-knowledge, breathing, focus / attention / concentration, relationship with people and helping the project. The benefits such as improved quality of life, mental health and self-care were more emphasized and the limitations were related to giving up participation throughout the research, both in the review studies and in the intervention. Conclusions: The study pointed out benefits of meditative practice for university life and systematized the scientific publications on this theme. The scarcity of Brazilian studies and research using qualitative methodologies stands out. Points out the relevance of the practices at this time of life to support health and quality of life for college.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Logística reversa e sustentabilidade: uma análise baseada em indicadores de desempenho sustentável(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-01-07) Pedro, Mariana Chieregato; Mendes, Juliana Veiga; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5692633697407656; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9378608804172759Concerns about sustainable issues have increased business awareness of the importance of reverse logistics (RL) for developing environmentally conscious businesses and obtaining competitive advantages. The complexity of management and the specifics of RL's activities demand that companies set significant goals and use appropriate indicators to monitor their performance. However, despite the evolution of recent years, research on performance evaluation and its sustainability indicator in RL is still a recent, dispersed, fragmented and incomplete theme. In this scenario and aiming to contribute to the dissemination of sustainable parameters in the management of RL environments, this research sought to understand how sustainability has been incorporated in the scientific literature and in the performance evaluation of RL companies through performance indicators. Thus, it was carried out a bibliographic research on the evolution of performance in RL and a systematic review of the literature in search of indicators of sustainable performance in RL and Closed Loop Supply Chains (CLSC). The indicators found were compared with the indicators of a Brazilian company with RL activities and with the indicators proposed by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). In conclusion, the RL performance theme has been on the rise in the scientific literature for more than twenty years, with sustainability being one of the main topics of research. Furthermore, 329 environmental, 371 social and 251 economic indicators have been identified, but it was observed that there is still a lack of standardization of indicators. The analysis of the company’s indicators revealed greater interest in the dissemination of indicators on environmental aspects, not addressing many social aspects indicated by the GRI.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Um estudo exploratório envolvendo criptografia e noções de computação quântica(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-01-07) Luiz, Bruna Schwarz Nunes; Carvalho, Silvia Maria Simões de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8244087426759161; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2425578943642629In this paper, a proposal for a exploratory study of cryptography and the influence of the quantum computer on data security will be presented. The goal is to demonstrate a way of how factorization and quantum computing can be applied in regular education in the final years of elementary school. Students, despite having a lot of contact with computers on a daily basis, do not understand what a computer is, how safe they are on the social networks and platforms they use, let alone know the development of quantum computing, which is such a current and relevant topic, with a lot of transforming power in everyone's daily life. With the presentation of the classes, students are expected to have an overview of cryptography and quantum computing so that they are thus in contact with mathematics in a more applied and interesting way.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Rede de interações de aves-plantas: frugivoria em áreas urbanas da Mata Atlântica(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-01-07) Silva, Thays Almeida; Piratelli, Augusto João; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4747322084219058; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9174171581779931Urbanization poses countless disturbances to biodiversity, reducing environmental heterogeneity, causing the process of community simplification and favoring species with greater tolerance to anthropogenic actions, mostly generalists in habitats, and eating habits. The interactions between plants and frugivores establish an important structure for a community, and its loss can compromise the species involved and the ecological functions they perform. Thus, interaction networks are important tools to understand ecological processes and patterns responsible for the structural complexity of communities. Although many large urban centers are within the domain of the Atlantic Forest, there are few studies on interaction networks in this environment. Therefore, the study objectives are (1) to characterize this knowledge about frugivory by birds in urban areas of the Atlantic Forest biome; (2) to analyze an interaction between urban birdlife and plants through an interaction network; (3) to verify the behavior of the network and (4) evaluate the influence of exotic species on the network. For this, a bibliographic review on frugivory by birds in urban environments of the Atlantic Forest in Brazil was carried out, articles that included these interactions were surveyed. After the data collection, a list of bird species that consumed fruits is generated, thus creating a binary matrix of plant and bird interactions, which was used for plotting the network, analyzing its structure and organization. For the network, the species connectivity was observed, and the network nesting, estimated with the Nestedness Metric Based on Overlap and Decreasing Fill (NODF). A total of 19 studies in 9 states within the Atlantic Forest were included in the analysis, having generated 78 bird species consuming fruits of 103 plant species. The interaction network has a nested pattern (NODF = 26, p = 0) and 541 interactions were observed, presenting low connectivity (6.65%) which estimates the proportion of the interactions performed in relation to the total of possible interactions. Birds and plant assemblages proved to be stable and resistant in the interaction functioning since the nested structure is a property that demonstration groupings not at random. The number of interactions seems to justify the connectivity, since it decreases due to the network size, reducing the transmission of disturbances. Thus, fruit consumption in urban areas occurs opportunistically, especially by generalist species.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Uma análise sobre centros culturais na cidade de Sorocaba (SP): SESC, FUNDEC e Quilombinho(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-01-07) Silva, Beatriz Davida; Mariano, Neusa de Fátima; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5003743301847104; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7029895094835041The present search, based on the question of the cultural importance in the urban space, sought to comprehend through a geographic look how to verify the access to the institutionalized culture in the city of Sorocaba when focusing on three cultural centers, the “Serviço Social do Comércio” (SESC), the “Fundação de Desenvolvimento Cultural de Sorocaba” (FUNDEC), and the “Centro Cultural Quilombinho”. The methodology used for it’s realization happened through research and bibliographic reading, survey of the institution’s schedule through the online collection of the newspaper “Cruzeiro do Sul”, the execution of online questionaries and the realization of interviews. From these materials, it was verified that even with different focuses of actuation, the three cultural centers are important places of offers of cultural activities in Sorocaba. However, there are still deficiencies to guarantee the right to the city to all the community in your diversity of socio-spatial point of view. It was reflected too about the historical of the Brazilian cultural politics, which not always recognized the cultural diversities existing in our country, fact that disconsidered the territory and a truly “cultural democracy”. Thus, it was considered that there is a necessity of an effort of the public power to guarantee the access to these cultural spaces, once is the government responsibility to secure the culture in cities.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Problema de dois corpos na mecânica celeste(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-01-07) Antunes, Lucas Vinicius; Rodrigues, Savio Brochini; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1302085627916721; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9327233750920442The objective of this work is to study celestial mechanics by retracing the mathematical foundations of Kepler's three laws, in connection with Newton's law of gravity, as to describe the planetary orbits as conic sections, ellipses, parabolas, hyperbolas. After describing the orbits in the plane. we address the two-body problem in the three dimensional space using as starting point the differential equations that describe such motion. In order to do this, we consider a suitable change of coordinates in which one of the bodies is at the origin.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Uma proposta de análise de desempenho de estudantes do ENEM(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-01-07) Novaes, Adenilson Almeida de; Piton-Gonçalves, Jean; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6280496667549925; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9460678073731551In the international education field, it is relevant to predict the students' performance for future courses and/or disciplines. In that matter, Rajalaxmi et al. (2019), Abledu (2012) and Gadhavi, Patel (2017) works show a statistic-mathematical approach by multiple regression which generates predictives models that may help educational politics, professors and managers in decision making. Starting from Educational Data Science, this Undergraduate Thesis uses real data from the Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio (ENEM). Starting from a sample of 26,731 participants, it shows that it is possible to model the student performance, to then correlate multidimensionally the four knowledge pillars of the ENEM, and, on top of that, provide a discussion about the students' performance from public and private schools. Results show that Educational Data Science is a fundamental field to Mathematics professors' formation, elucidating, from the quantitative point of view, the educational variables.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Educação Ambiental: propostas de caminhos para a conservação da biodiversidade(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-01-07) Ferreira, Larissa; Hanai, Frederico Yuri; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7651828454575175; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5048711015207265The objectives of the internship were to provide greater learning about the works and actions aimed at the Environmental Education (EA) and enable a more in-depth training in the planning, execution and evaluation of activities, contents and materials to bring the EA theory and its practice closer.
