listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Detecção de alteração no regime pluviométrico da Serra da Cantareira via modelo de espaço de Estados(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-01-20) Souza, Robert Luís Alves de; Moura, Maria Sílvia de Assis; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9410151859448447; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7052779467866802In the period between 2014 and 2016, the Southeast region suffered from a severe drought process. According to the 2014 special insert, prepared by the National Water Agency (2014) of the Ministry of the Environment, the rainfall regime in the region presented a intense and gradual reduction of rainfall levels, which caused the water crisis, affecting the water supply in the region. Therefore, the main thesis of this report is that the rainfall regime changed, based on the fact that the rainfall behavior was far below average in different regions of the country. Thus, this work was intended to verify if this change really occurred, or was it just an extreme event. To carry out this study, data were used rainfall available on the SABESP website (http://mananciais.sabesp.com. br/Home) and adopted the state space model, as it has a large flexibility and a small prediction error. From this, we realize that, despite the variability and presence of long-term structure duration, the model was able to identify a possible change in the rainfall regime in the Cantareira System right at the beginning of the forecast, but we see that for the next steps the model was not able to identify out-of-control points.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Experiências formativas: caminhos percorridos na interface entre a terapia ocupacional e a comunicação alternativa e ampliada em contexto escolar(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-01-20) Borges, Bianca Costa; Lourenço, Gerusa Ferreira; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1474728505225459; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8581418109873627The literature indicates that people with complex communication needs due to distinct health conditions, congenital or acquired, can benefit from Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). Emphasizing the implementation of AAC resources in the school context, the figure of the teacher appears as a communication partner, essential in the process of systems use. Besides that, AAC at the school enable the creation of a bridge that connects education and health professionals, taking in consideration the person multiple life contexts, and the need to integrate knowledges so that the process of communication trough ACC be successful. The Federal Council of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy (COFFITO) recognizes occupational therapy in the school context as one of the profession specialties, highlighting Assistive Technology and AAC as one of the areas of expertise occupational therapists must know to act in this context. Therefore, occupational therapists are set as professionals capable of implementing AAC resources in the school context. Starting from these notes, this work has the objective to describe my undergraduate tracked route in Assistive Technology and AAC fields, through three products presentation: an experience and participation report in the extension project of alternative communication on the assistance to the disable child, developed at an special education institution of São Carlos-SP; as a second product, a scientific initiation research literature review about partner communication training in the school context, and the third product, an abstract submission of this research with an specific cutout focusing on the interface between health professionals and teachers at school setting. This route inside occupational therapy emphasizing AAC was essential to my occupational therapy training, considering people uniqueness and autonomy, as well the need to work an occupation so essential in human life as communication is.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Monitoria Ambiental e suas contribuições na manutenção e gestão dos parques estaduais Caverna do Diabo, Ilha do Cardoso, Intervales e Turístico do Alto Ribeira - Vale do Ribeira - SP(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-01-20) Mira, Luciano Festa; Marinho, Maurício de Alcântara; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2710377857519929; Lobo, Heros Augusto Santos; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9405961078398915; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7494234531879413This research aims to analyze the performance of the activity of environmental monitoring, including positive aspects and weaknesses, professional relationships and dimensions of the performance in the participative management of natural protected areas (UCs) and local societies, It was set in the Vale do Ribeira region, to the south of the state of São Paulo, which houses extensive areas of Atlantic Forest, largely protected by UCs, in addition to the cultural diversity present in these territories. The activities of environmental monitoring are strongly highlighted in the region, mainly in the visitation centers in UCs. For this study, the state parks Caverna do Diabo, Ilha do Cardoso, Intervales and Turístico do Alto Ribeira were selected, which concentrate the largest number of active and trained environmental monitors in the region, and can be considered as territories that induce ecotourism. It is an exploratory research, involving bibliographic surveys and data collection, through the application of questionnaires directed to environmental monitors, managers and former UC managers. Through the crossing and analysis of data, the research brought unprecedented results, demonstrating different levels of performance of environmental monitors in the collaboration and participatory management of the investigated state parks. This performance goes beyond the activity of conducting groups, highlighting their role as multiplying agents and disseminators of environmental education and the representation of the Conservation Unit's identity with the public, since they constitute the link between visitors, parks and the community. Also highlighted is the collaboration and participation of the monitors in studies and research projects and active participation in the day-to-day management of the UCs, by working with the advisory councils and participating in debates related to public policies related to the parks and municipalities involved.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Inovação e Pesquisa Responsável e engajamento público da ciência: o caso das Incubadoras Tecnológicas de Cooperativas Populares de universidades públicas brasileiras(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-01-20) Arruda, Adriana Gonçalves; Rothberg, Danilo; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1764187818137062; Zanin, Maria; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9685965969782429; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3774915276321508The main objective of this thesis was to investigate the presence of the public engagement of science in the participatory management of the Technological Incubators of Popular Cooperatives in Brazilian public universities, allied with the precepts of Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI). The study had as a paradigmatic example the education, research and extension initiatives offered by the Integrated Multidisciplinary Nucleus of Studies, Training and Intervention in Solidarity Economy (NuMI-EcoSol) of the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), extending the analysis to Technological Incubators of Popular Cooperatives of other three public universities in the State of São Paulo: University of São Paulo (USP), State University of Campinas (Unicamp) and São Paulo State University (Unesp). The study mainly questioned: (i) if the public engagement of science is inserted – and how this insertion occurs – in the participatory management process of the incubators; (ii) whether the RRI precepts are present in the official documents and in the institutional communication vehicles of these incubators; and (iii) in what ways the public engagement of science can act as a facilitator in action policies within the scope of education, research and extension activities in incubators, optimizing participatory management among the agents involved. This qualitative exploratory research used, as methodologies, (i) bibliographic analysis about Public Communication of Science, RRI, solidary economy and Technological Incubators of Popular Cooperatives; (ii) documentary analysis, with analysis of online files; (iii) application of a questionnaire with agents who work at incubators; and (iv) content analysis of the interviews granted by researchers from incubators and specific indicators and criteria for institutional online tools (website and social networks), to reflect if the precept of public engagement by RRI agrees with the dissemination of the incubators' actions and in what ways this precept can act as a facilitator in promoting public participation. The development of the research was guided by the hypothesis that some aspects of the incubators of Brazilian public universities – the fact that they are self-managed, make collective decisions and aim to involve the target audiences in decision-making, which include several agents of the society – favor the promotion of public engagement of science, within the scope of the RRI, in initiatives that involve the inseparability between education, research and extension. Based on the research, it was observed that incubators have participatory movements in their daily actions, whether online or offline, but this is still a challenge. The main obstacles to strengthening this public engagement are: (i) lack of government support and, consequently, lack of funds and human resources; (ii) difficulty in accessing the external public and consequent engagement; and (iii) difficulty in encouraging the participation of the external public in forums and events with a certain frequency. The research suggested ways for these incubators to advance the awareness – and active participation - of the target audiences and possible actions that can be put into practice, with the proposition of recommendations that assist in promoting public engagement and in the construction of a bidirectional communication, participatory and aligned with the missions of the incubators’ activities.
