    Efeitos da eletroestimulação transcutânea do nervo tibial e região parassacral em mulheres com urgência miccional: estudo randomizado e controlado

    Introduction: Urgency is a strong urge to urinate, which is difficult to postpone and control. Urgency urinary incontinence is the involuntary loss of urine associated with urgency and the overactive bladder is characterized by urgency with or without urinary loss. These are common clinical conditions in women. One of the physiotherapeutic resources that can be used to treat urgency is electrostimulation, such as electrostimulation of the tibial nerve and parasacral electrostimulation. Objective: To investigate the effect of treatment with transcutaneous electrostimulation of the Tibial Nerve or transcutaneous parasacral electrostimulation on urgency. Methods: 99 women, over the age of 18, with a score ≥8 on the Overactive Bladder –Validated 8 - Question Awareness Tool [OAB-V8]), participated in the study, randomized (1:1:1) using a simple draw in 3 groups: 33 in the placebo group, 33 in the tibial group and 33 in the parasacral group. In the tibial and parasacral groups, a frequency of 10Hz was applied and the pulse duration was 200μs. In the placebo group (electrostimulation in the scapular region), a frequency of 100Hz was applied and pulse duration was 100μs. The intensity varied according to the sensitivity of the participant for all groups. Outcome measures: The outcomes were assessed by the International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire - Overactive Bladder (ICIQ-OAB), which assesses overactive bladder and investigates irritative urinary symptoms such as daytime frequency, nocturia, urgency and urgent urinary incontinence; Overactive Bladder –Validated 8 - Question Awareness Tool (OAB-V8), which investigates overactive bladder and measures the degree of discomfort, based on the self-perception of the participant; King Health Questionnaire (KHQ), which investigates quality of life in relation to urinary incontinence; and 24-hour Voiding Diary (VD-24h), which investigates voiding habits. The evaluations occurred in four moments: pre-treatment, after the 6th session, after the 12th session (post-treatment) and follow-up (30 days after the end of the treatment). Statistical analysis: Two-way ANOVA for repeated measures was applied to verify the effect of groups, evaluations, and interactions, in the total scores of the ICIQ-OAB, OAB-V8, in the KHQ domains and in the VD-24h variables. In the case of normality of the residues of the ANOVA model, the parametric approach with post-hoc was used by the Bonferroni test. Otherwise, the post-hoc non-parametric approach was used by the Anova-Type Statistic test with Bonferroni correction. The normality of the residues was assessed by the Shapiro-Wilk test. A significance level of 5% was considered. Results: The parassacral and tibial groups, in the post-treatment, presented fewer episodes of urgency than the placebo group (evaluated by the VD-24h). In the follow-up, the parassacral group presented a superior result than the placebo group in the ICIQ-OAB. In the post-treatment, the parassacral group obtained significantly greater results than the placebo group in the domains of incontinence impact and task limitations of the KHQ. Conclusion: In the present study, the number of urgency episodes evaluated by the VD-24h after treatment, showed that the parassacral and tibial groups had better results than the placebo group. Parasacral electrostimulation was more effective in reducing urgency compared to placebo, which is observed by the significant decrease in the total ICIQ-OAB score, at follow-up.

    Análise da integração dos elementos da paisagem, por meio da conectividade de compartimentos físico-ambientais na Unidade de Gerenciamento de Recursos Hídricos Tietê-Jacaré

    The landscape structure is modified mainly as a result between nature and society, which produce a configuration characterized by the fragmentation or connection between its elements. This structure reflects the influence of physical, biological, political, economic, and social forces. One of the most effective forms of regional planning in Brazil is through the Water Resources Management Units, which with the river basin committees, provide legal support for such units. The network community model is the area of scientific research that seeks to understand the complexity of the various systems, being an essential tool in local and regional planning and management, applied in different systems, such as road, hydrological and ecological. The objective of this study was to evaluate the urbans and natural landscapes performances indicators based on the integration of connectivity between road, hydrological, and landscape structural networks in the Tietê-Jacaré Hydrographic Basin - SP. This objective involved the environmental characterization of the landscape and the diagnosis of land use and land cover in 2007 and 2017, with an emphasis on the layout and connectivity of existing elements through the indices application of Integration, Spatial Syntax, Hydrological Connectivity, Ecological Connectivity, and metric indexes of Connectivity and Landscape Fragmentation. The Tietê-Jacaré Hydrographic Basin has a high potential for the development of agricultural activities, mainly due to the evidence of low slopes and the characteristics of the present soils, which were confirmed by the classification of land use and land cover, which demonstrated the predominance of such activities in all regions of the basin, also culminating in the expansion of the road network over the years, which is an essential factor for the flow of this production. The region had a 38.43% growth in the road network and a 22% increase in connectivity, with a 2.34% decrease in the drainage network and a 25.53% decrease in connectivity. The vegetation areas were reduced by 2.72%, with a reduction in the connectivity of 18.50%. Thus, considering the three factors analyzed, the average change in connectivity and fragmentation of the Tietê-Jacaré Watershed between 2007 and 2017 was 22.01%. The fragmentation and integration indexes, when expressing the state of configuration of the landscapes, were presented as crucial tools in the diagnosis aimed at the conservation of ecosystems, allowing precise analysis of the elements that compose them. These indices also allowed the comparison not only of the natural fragments but of all classes of land use, which is essential in regional planning, such as in the case of hydrographic basins. These evidenced the loss of environmental quality, along with the growth of negative impacts, with the reduction of vegetation areas and drainage network and increased the roads concentration. This resulted in reduced drainage and vegetation connections and increased road connections that eventually culminated in changes in connectivity patterns, having the classes of urban and as predominant. The concern is not only about the current situation of the region, but also with the trends that have solidified over the years, such as the loss of natural areas and changes in the pattern and organization of the landscape as a result of the expansion of human activities. The ecosystems, with their environmental goods and services, subsidize various anthropic and socioeconomic activities, and when overloaded beyond their carrying capacity, can compromise the fulfillment of human needs. In this way, the strengthening of participation spaces, through the mobilization of the population and their representativeness, should be a premise of the municipal, state and federal administration, for the formulation, execution, and monitoring of urban development plans, programs, and projects.

    Perfis colaborativos em grupos para o desenvolvimento profissional de professores

    This paper was developed among a group of teachers from the early years of municipal schools in Sorocaba / SP, in the years of 2018 to 2019. This study aims to present two devices to locate and analyze how a collaborative group is formed and constituted, that is, which profiles those teachers had, based on their interactions, which have as a background to discuss the implementation of scientific literacy (CA) in the classroom in the early years. Respectively, the second device presented in this paper aims to present evidence of professional development from the teachers within the collaborative group and the dimensions covered by teachers. The methodological approach was qualitative, with a collaborative participation, taking place in about a year and a half, which was distributed in 20 face-to-face meetings. These meetings were all recorded, transcribed, and then organized based on categories of analysis. The results from those devices application brought us indicatives about the collaborative profiles from the teachers and their engagement within the group formed, providing positive ideas of teacher training. Concomitantly, we also managed to analyze signs of professional development of teachers according to the dimensions that teachers got involved during the research. The research and the use of devices assures us that the tools presented in this study can be used by professionals in teacher training and in discussions of collaborative study groups, as it corroborates and answers our research questions, being an alternative to compose the policies of teacher training, contributing to the construction of teaching knowledge.

    Análise da correlação entre índices de controle vetorial, variavéis climáticas e coeficientes de incidência de dengue, zika e chikungunya no município de Ribeirão Preto, SP

    Arboviruses have become a major public health problem due to emergence and reemergence worldwide. Climatic, socio-environmental and mobility factors favored the spread of both hosts, as well as vectors and etiologic agents of these diseases. The reduction of cases of these diseases consists of vector control, requiring an articulation between health services, especially Epidemiological Surveillance (VE) and Environmental Health Surveillance (VSA). This study aimed to analyze the correlation between vector control indexes, climatic variables and coefficients of incidence of dengue, zika and chikungunya in the city of Ribeirão Preto, SP. It is an ecological study, carried out in VE and VSA in Ribeirão Preto -SP. The data were collected through the analysis of the investigation forms referring to dengue, zika and chikungunya of the Information System on Notifiable Diseases (SINAN) in the years 2013 to 2019. The data related to entomological surveillance were obtained in the vector control reports of the Environmental Health Surveillance sector of the Municipal Health Secretariat. Data on temperature and precipitation were obtained from the online page of the Integrated Center for Agrometeorological Information (CIIAGRO). This research was approved by the UFSCar Research Ethics Committee (CEP). The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The relationship of the indices to the incidence of diseases was analyzed using Spearman's correlation coefficient (ρ). To analyze the relationship between the average monthly temperature and monthly precipitation with the incidence of diseases, a generalized linear model with negative Binomial distribution and identity link function was proposed. The results showed that in 2016, the IC for dengue was 5257.08 cases / 100,000 inhabitants, the IC for Zika was 153.62 cases / 100,000 inhabitants; and, in 2017, the IC for chikungunya was 6.45 cases / 100,000 inhabitants. No relationship was found between the IB, IP and IR and the CI of these arboviruses, with p> 0.05. The study also found no relationship between precipitation and IC for these arboviruses, p = 0.05. However, the relationship between temperature and dengue IC was confirmed, p <0.01, and it is possible to state that with each one-degree increase in temperature, it can increase 19.2 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. It is concluded that the results of this study can support the process of developing control strategies for Aedes aegypti based on the knowledge of the factors that influence its proliferation and educational strategies to enhance vector control and disease prevention.
