The distributed slack bus modeling was used in the tested electrical systems. The problem is formulated as a nonlinear programming problem with continuous and discrete variables so that its resolution is obtained fundamentally from mathematical modifications by the algorithm proposed in this work, in which discrete variables are treated as continuous by sinusoidal functions added to the original objective function. This work also proposes an effectiveness analysis of the results provided by different commercial solvers for the discretized reactive optimal power flow problem. The proposed modeling was applied on the IEEE 14, 30, 57, 118 and 300-bus test systems. The results presented reveal that the proposed model was effective in the optimization of the objective function and discretization of control variables of the systems.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Análises de caracterização: FTIR, DRX e medições de ângulo de contato de filmes poliméricos de amido de milho com incorporação de fibras de bagaço de cevada(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-05-03) Castanho, Maria Natalia; Paiva, Jane Maria Faulstich de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2807864150195202; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7926832511513537listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Datasets: análises térmicas de filmes poliméricos de amido de milho com incorporação de fibras de bagaço de cevada(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-05-03) Castanho, Maria Natalia; Paiva, Jane Maria Faulstich de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2807864150195202; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7926832511513537listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Ensaios mecânicos de tração de filmes poliméricos de amido de milho com incorporação de fibras de bagaço de cevada(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-05-03) Castanho, Maria Natalia; Paiva, Jane Maria Faulstich de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2807864150195202; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7926832511513537listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, A formação inicial de professores na perspectiva do estágio remunerado(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-05-04) Almeida, Nice Ribeiro de; Pinheiro, Rosa Aparecida; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6292207464385037; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1542185480817206This research presents the theme "Initial teacher training from the perspective of paid internship: an analysis of the Citizen Training project", whose purpose is to analyze the relevance of initial university training and to investigate how the managers and educators of an Early Childhood Education Center Sorocaba conceives paid internships in early childhood education (day care). Given this theme, try to collect information on field research and bibliographic research on the respect of the internship's contributions in the school environment, and how this can contribute to the academic education of the university student. Before the questions analyzed, research about the quality of university education in teacher training and check if the paid internship, in the scenario of the “Citizen Training” Project, can be understood as a pedagogical training space, in the midst of the meaning strategies built by paid interns, by the teachers and the management team of the Child Education Center located in the North Zone of Sorocaba. In this context, it is opportune to analyze public policies for teacher training for early childhood education. In view of the theme, this paper presents a brief history of the Pedagogy Course in Brazil, clarifying issues that involve the education of childhood teachers and what are the main skills needed to improve teaching practice in Early Childhood Education. Finally, the results of the field research on the Citizen Training Project, its educational objectives, its guidelines and how the paid internship takes place at the Early Childhood Education Center Sorocaba will be presented, from the perspective of contributing to the field of initial teacher education.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Requisitos gerais para a produção de materiais de referência(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-05-04) Zamarco, Jonathan Gabriel; Nogueira, Ana Rita de Araújo; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7034773971317045; Pereira Filho, Edenir Rodrigues; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3394181280355442; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9443563719861187The present work had as objective to raise the main requirements for the production of Reference Materials. These requirements can be classified into Structural, defined by ABNT NBR ISO 17034, in Instrumental, defined by ABNT NBR ISO/IEC 17025 and Production, representing the stages in which the material property values are determined and tested, being guided by ISO Guides 31, 33, 34 and 35. From the various studies involved, such as homogeneity, stability and chemical characterization, it will be possible to estimate the degree of residual heterogeneity and check whether the material has sufficient stability for the intended use, considering the contribution of each study in the final expanded uncertainty. Understanding that many decisions made in different productive sectors are based on analytical results, and the reliability of these results is based on the comparison with metrologically valid standards, it is perceived the importance of expanding the knowledge regarding the production of these materials, satisfying the research and the international trade simultaneously.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Efeito do aspartato sobre o crescimento e formação de biofilmes por Staphylococcus aureus(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-05-04) Tanabe, Juliana Miho; Pimentel Filho, Natan de Jesus; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9157232954010211; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2932017562454855Staphylococcus aureus is an opportunistic pathogen of great relevance, since it is often associated with outbreaks of food poisoning. When submitter to some type of cell stress, certain microorganisms tend to cluster in the form of a biofilm, becoming more resistant to external agents, including antimicrobial treatments such as the use of the bacteriocin nisin. Aspartate is an important molecule for cellular metabolism, as there is evidence of its role in maintaining cellular homeostasis and also in the expression of virulence factors. This study aimed to evaluate the possible influences of the amino acid aspartate on growth, adhesion, and biofilm formation by S. aureus. The influence of the bacteriocin nisin, in subinhibitory concentrations, on the formation of biofilm on a polystyrene surface in the presence and absence of aspartate was also evaluated. Cell growth was conducted in a synthetic medium supplemented or not with the amino acid in two conditions, aerophilic and microaerophilic, in conical flasks under orbital assembly and into 96-well microplates, respectively. Cell adhesion and biofilm formation were studied on two surfaces commonly used in the food industries, stainless steel and polystyrene, and the biofilm formation on this last surface was also evaluated in the presence of subinhibitory dosages of nisin. S. aureus grew reaching maximum absorbance, both in aerobic and microaerobic conditions in synthetic medium with aspartate. Cell adhesion on a polystyrene surface did not show a significant difference (p> 0.05) in the presence or absence of aspartate. On the other hand, in stainless steel surface, the initial adhesion was higher in medium supplemented with aspartate (p <0.05), but there was no difference in the biofilm formed after 24 and 48 h in the presence or absence of the amino acid. Subinhibitory concentrations of nisin did not influence cell adhesion on a polystyrene surface. The results highlight the effect of aspartate on the microbial growth and initial adhesion of the microorganism on stainless steel. Further studies, evaluating different strains of S. aureus, need to be carried out to obtain more conclusive responses to the role of the amino acid for this species.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, As escolas modernas de Sorocaba: experiências de educação anarquista no início do século XX(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-05-05) Alencar, Naara Gonçalves de; Martins, Marcos Francisco; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4515924584428591; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4754025472701691This work is a research on anarchist educational experiences and intended to recover the memory of four Modern Schools located in the city of Sorocaba, located in the interior of the state of São Paulo/Brazil, in the beginning of the 20th century: the Escola da Liga Operária de Sorocaba, the Modern School of St. Rosália, the Modern School of Votorantim and the School located in the Chácara de Vicente de Cária, and thus understand their relevance or not in the historical, political and educational context of the city. From these general objectives, three specific objectives are articulated: to analyze what was the historical context that led to the foundation of anarchist schools in Sorocaba/SP; identify how, when and why the Modern Schools of Sorocaba were founded; understand what were the reasons that led to the closing of these schools. In order to achieve these goals and due to the need demonstrated by exploratory research, in principle, the methodology provided for documentary and field research, through which it was intended to have access to some historical documents relevant to the subject in the places where they are dedicated to their preservation. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic caused by the new coronavirus, the researcher's visit to the planned sites became unfeasible and this was the only stage of the project that underwent changes, as it was included in the initial research proposal, but it was not carried out . That said, as an alternative to overcome this setback and as also foreseen, in relation to the project methodology, a bibliographical research was carried out, which accessed classic authors in the discussion between anarchism and education (MALATESTA, 2018; KROPOTKIN, 2013; FERRER Y GUARDIA , 2014; BAKUNIN, 1975, 2001, 2015 and 2016; GALLO, 1992 and 2007; MORIYÓN, 1989), the production of consolidated historians of the city of Sorocaba (CAVALHEIRO, 2009; CARVALHO, 2007) and some academic works dealing with the same theme (ROMANI, 1998, SOUZA, 2016; SILVA, 2013). As a result, from the analysis of selected bibliographies that dealt with anarchism, the State, freedom and education, it was possible to understand fundamental concepts to the research theme and introduce the existing connection between these concepts and the anarchist educational experiences carried out in schools sorocabanas, known only from the bibliographic records to which it was possible to have access. It was also possible to socially and historically contextualize the anarchist influence on the labor movement and education in the city of Sorocaba and describe, within the limits of the research, the anarchist schools in Sorocaba and Votorantim, without the intention, however, of ending the theme , but to foster future research.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, “Desejáveis” e “indesejáveis”: diferencialidades e paradoxos no acolhimento de venezuelanos/as em Roraima e no Amazonas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-05-05) Vasconcelos, Iana dos Santos; Machado, Igor José de Renó; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4705450652848752; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3418264527771362This thesis analyzes multiple relationships and institutions involved in the reception processes for Venezuelan migrants in the cities of Boa Vista and Manaus, based on intermittent field research from 2016 to 2020. Migrant reception is marked by a complexity of perspectives, interests, disputes and power games. The measures range between repressive mechanisms and so-called humanitarian actions, sometimes occurring simultaneously. A perceived humanitarian crisis mobilizes secular and mostly religious non-governmental institutions, international organizations and Brazilian Armed Forces that strive daily to make Venezuelans desirable to Manauara and Boa Vista public opinion. But these institutions activities depend directly on the Venezuelans` condition of victims and vulnerable, being perceived as a problem by the locals and becoming undesirable. Being a desirable or undesirable migrant does not imply a fixed position, but corresponds to negotiations that may show differentialities. The agency of the migrant stands out in showing itself to be pendejo (fool) or arrecho (angry). Brazilian hospitality to Venezuelans reveals the paradoxes of a double commitment between welcoming and keeping order. It is concluded that Brazil follows a trend in the global governance of vulnerabilities, sustained in two axes: on the one hand, a transnational ideology of humanitarianism; on the other, concerns about the national security agenda and the alignment with an increasing militarization of international cooperation initiatives.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Efeito da administração de esteroides anabólico-androgênicos sobre vias metabólicas e alterações morfológicas no tecido muscular esquelético exercitado(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-05-05) Croco Filho, Alam Cleber Ferreira; Beck, Wladimir Rafael; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3124811889307056; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6456809898036453The present study, as a descriptive review, aimed to comprehend the effects of the exogenous anabolic-androgenic administration on metabolic pathways, as well as the physiological modulation of the exercised skeletal muscle tissue by these drugs, elucidating biochemical pathways and the details of the endocrine and muscular morphophysiology, given the action of androgenic hormones (AAS), such as testosterone and its derivatives. First used exclusively for medicinal purposes, the anabolic-androgenic steroids have gone through an accentuated increase in their use from the 1950s on, mainly by athletes, and years later for aesthetical purposes. Still considered a sensitive issue in many countries, there is a lack of information counting on a wide statistical range over the effects these drugs may cause in the metabolism and the key points that connect the hypertrophy mechanisms. Given this scenario, this study pursued to explore the many aspects involved in the exogenous androgens administration for athletic performance or aesthetics, aside from quoting different perspectives of how researches involving AAS help to build a better comprehension of health issues beyond muscular hypertrophy, such as metabolic syndromes and obesity, for instance.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Biofortificação agronômica de alface com zinco em cultivo hidropônico(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-05-05) Lima, Bianca Machado de; Purquerio, Luis Felipe Villani; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5391975384650292; Sala, Fernando César; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6771975466075202; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6005127635625471Lettuce is the most cultivated leafy vegetable in a hydroponic system. The biofortification of lettuce with Zn can contribute to supply nutritional deficiencies of populations in social vulnerability, for having an affordable price and being easy and fast to produce, even in urban areas. The objective was to evaluate the effect of different concentrations of Zn in hydroponic solution, in the production and biofortification of two lettuce cultivars. The experimental design was completely randomized, in a split-plot scheme, with four replications. The plot was formed by the concentrations of zinc 0,3, 1,0, 1,7, and 2,4 g L-1 in the hydroponic solution, added in the form of zinc sulfate (ZnSO4.7H2O) and the subplots by the cultivars of lettuces Vanda and Saladela. The characteristics evaluated were: plant diameter, root length, number of leaves, fresh and dry mass of the aerial part and root, leaf color (Colorimetry) and chlorophyll index, leaf and root zinc content and accumulation. The concentration of Zn influenced the number of leaves and root length, with the concentration of 2,4 g L-1 of Zn providing the largest number of leaves and root length. For colorimetry a * there was an interaction effect, for Saladela and Vanda the concentrations 0,3 and 2,4 g L-1 showed better results, respectively. For fresh mass of the aerial part Vanda presented higher biomass. For the content and accumulation of Zn in the leaf and root, the concentration of 2,4 g L-1 of Zn showed the best result. It was observed that the highest concentration of Zn did not affect most of the productive characteristics of the culture, mainly in mass of aerial part. It was possible to biofortify the lettuces agronomically and there was no phytotoxic effect on the plants.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Produção de etanol 2g em reator de leito fixo e por bioprocessamento consolidado utilizando leveduras de alta performance(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-05-06) Perez, Caroline Lopes; Esteves, Thais Suzane Milessi; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7000002745065879; Zangirolami, Teresa Cristina; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4546701843297248; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4188788274676361In order to enable the industrial production of second generation (2G) ethanol, the development of processes with high productivity using hydrolysates of lignocellulosic material containing high concentration of inhibitors, with minimum enzymes concentration due to its impact on the total cost of the process, are some of the main challenges to be overcome. In this sense, researches in genetic engineering have been working towards obtaining yeast strains that are more tolerant to inhibitors present in hydrolysates and to the ethanol produced, as well as strains presenting capacity to produce and secrete enzymes, in addition to ferment pentoses and hexoses. The immobilization of cells in calcium alginate contributes to protect cells from the harmful effects of inhibitors, besides allowing the use of high cell densities, facilitating the recovery of products and the reuse of iocatalysts. Thus, the present work aimed to contribute to the development of a high productivity 2G ethanol production process using hemicellulose hydrolysates and superior recombinant yeast cells. At the first step of the research, after toxic and irreversible effects to the immobilized cells caused by the use of fermentative medium composed by concentrated hemicellulose hydrolysate during continuous fermentation were evidenced, experiments in mini-reactors unveiled the strong and synergistic effects between the high inhibitors load in fermentative medium and ethanol produced during ermentation, associated to the exposure time and the yeast strain characteristics. The results led the study to searching more robust and promising yeast strains, along with fermentative media presenting reduced inhibitors’ load. Three superior recombinant yeasts (S. cerevisae T18, HAA1 and MDS130) modified for xylose consumption, kindly donated by Prof. Johan Thevelein (KU Leuven and NovelYeast®, Belgium), were evaluated in different fermentative media formulated with concentrated crude hydrolysate (HC), detoxified hydrolysate (HD) and crude hydrolysate supplemented with molasses (MHB). The most encouraging results were achieved by the use of MDS130 strain and MHB medium, being this combination selected for further scale up in fixed bed bioreactors (BLF). Promising data regarding ethanol productivity (up to 20 g/L/h) and yield (up to 100% of the theoretical), besides high sugar conversion during the 20 recycles performed were reached with BLF. These results confirm the feasibility of the industrial application of the 2G ethanol production process from hemicellulose hydrolysate and molasses using recombinant yeast. In the second step of the present study, the superior recombinant yeast strain S. cerevisiae AC14, with capacity to secrete 7 hydrolytic enzymes, was evaluated for 2G ethanol production in a Consolidated Bioprocessing (BPC) system. Preliminary studies showed that free cells in high load enabled the hydrolysis and sequential fermentation of substrates such as cellobiose, corncob xylan and hydrothermal liquor (LH). Complementary experiments revealed that hydrolysis and fermentation steps from synthetic medium and solid (BTH) and liquid (LH) fractions obtained after hydrothermal pretreatment of sugarcane bagasse occurred in less than 10 hours in the presence of high cell load (optical density of 100), surpassing productivities from industrial enzymatic cocktails. Although the hydrolysis of the oligomers present in LH was not complete, the results here obtained are promising, indicating that the AC14 strain has potential of being used in BPC, enabling the 2G ethanol production from pretreated biomass.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Oxidação direta de metano a metanol sobre espécies [CuxOy] incorporadas em zeólitas ferrierita(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-05-06) Passini, Ricardo José; Urquieta-González, Ernesto Antonio; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2389975677904655; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0176904791584331The development of technologies to minimize the CO2 emissions, which are generated by the indiscriminate burning of fossil fuels, remains a relevant research topic in the context of the planet's sustainability. Thus, it is strategic to avoid the methane’s burning and even its proper emission, therefore being interesting valorize it as raw material to produce chemical and intermediates. In this scenario, the conversion of methane to methanol has gained strong relevance due to its wide application possibilities. However, the strong carbon and hydrogen bond in the methane molecule becomes a challenge in the search for routes to promote its reactivity. Another drawback to overcome is the methanol overoxidation because it is more reactive than methane itself. Considering the promising results of conversion and selectivity of methane to methanol over cationic clusters [CuxOy] incorporated in zeolites, this work evaluated ferrierite zeolites containing those species. The Cu-ferrierites were characterized by X-ray diffraction, nitrogen physisorption, scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, and temperature-programmed reduction with hydrogen. The catalytic evaluation involved three steps: (i) activation of the Cu-ferrierites under air flow at 550 ºC; (ii) reaction of methane to methanol at 210 ºC, and (iii) extraction of the adsorbed methanol. The results confirmed that cationic [CuxOy] complexes were the active species in the conversion of methane to methanol, since physical mixtures of copper oxide with the precursor ferrierites did not show methanol yield. With the aim to identify the active species, the Cu-ferrierites were analyzed in situ by FTIR and DRS UV-Vis in the same conditions used during the activation and reaction steps. The results showed bands attributed to dimeric copper species in the FTIR spectra and, in the DRS-UV-Vis spectra, bands corresponding to cationic complexes bis(μ-oxo) dicopper and μ-(η2:η2)peroxo dicopper, with the last being the precursor of the active species mono(μ-oxo) dicopper.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Caracterização e monitoramento de voçoroca associada a técnicas de controle através do método de estaqueamento(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-05-06) Silva, Tayne Samara Machado da; Rotta, Cláudia Marisse dos Santos; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8142167187580488; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5831470828031789Erosion consists in a natural geological process that is part of the terrestrial surface dynamics. However, human actions such as deforestation, agricultural activities without the adoption of conservationist techniques and excessive grazing, are the main responsible for the appearance of erosive features in rural areas. Such actions, associated with certain geological-geotechnical and environmental characteristics, can develop small and large erosive processes. Gullies are the most evolved and complex stage of linear erosion. For this reason, the recovery of areas degraded by these erosive features is, in general, difficult and expensive. Currently, there are several erosion control techniques, which can be adopted in different contexts, however, it is common, in rural areas such as the study sub-basin, to find these techniques associated with erosive processes, indicating misapplication. In this scenario, this work aimed to characterize and monitor by the staking method the evolution of the erosive processes of a sub-basin, where there are erosion control techniques. It was expected to identify if the erosive features are active, the conditions for their development and the reason for the failure of erosion control techniques. To develop this study, several materials were gathered, such as topographic map, satellite images, geological, pedological and geomorphological maps, as well as bibliographic materials. In addition, fieldworks were carried out to characterize and monitor erosive features, identify and evaluate erosion control techniques, and to verify and identify environmental aspects previously evaluated in office works. It was found in the study area an active gully erosion, continuous to the drainage channel. Analyzing the satellite images of the different years, it was verified a significant increase in the gully dimensions, while the staking method identified that the evolution of the gully is due to the destabilization of its walls. The geological-geotechnical and environmental characteristics of the study area, mainly the land use, explain the development of the gully erosion, at the same time the erosion control techniques proved to be inefficient, either by arbitrary use, as is the case of the brush barrier technique, or due to execution failures, as it was verified in the case of terracing.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Padronização do teste de toxicidade com lentilhas d’água (Lemna minor) em solução hidropônica e sua aplicação na avaliação de um córrego urbano.(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-05-07) Souza, Giulia Cristina Andreoli de; David, José Augusto de Oliveira; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1395716206085674; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4893110439548933Ecotoxicological tests require, for validation, both the use of a reference substance as a positive and an inert substance as a negative control. Standardized substances are those that have previously completed studies on their toxicity and reactions to a given test organism. The present work was subdivided into two studies: the first aiming to standardize the use of the commercial hydroponic solution as a culture medium for tests with Lemna minor and later the solution was applied as a control group in the evaluation of an urban stream. The duckweeds were repeatedly exposed to the hydroponic solution, along with four dilutions of NaCl, and water from five different collection points of the Barnabé Stream, located in Indaiatuba, SP. The exposure of about 12 fronds per repetition occurred over a period of seven days in an incubator, with controlled temperature and a photoperiod of 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness. The evaluated parameters were the calculation of the growth rate of the number of fronds and the leaf area. After statistical analysis, it was obtained as a result that the growth in hydroponic solution was much higher than that of sodium chloride, demonstrating that the solution presents itself as a viable and suitable culture medium for studies with L. minor, as well as, the parameters of number of fronds and leaf area showed sensitivity similar to the solution. After application as a control in the stream toxicity test, it could be considered that the stream water showed signs of toxicity to the macrophyte, seen both in the mean values and in the presence of the phenomenon of chlorosis in the fronds. Statistically, one collection point was not significantly different from the other, but all had low growth rates compared to the control group of the solution. In addition, for the collection points, the leaf area parameter was the most sensitive compared to the number of fronds, showing lower values.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, O tempo dos benefícios sociais: a experiência urbana dos Yuhupdeh em São Gabriel da Cachoeira (AM)(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-05-07) Barbará, Michel Paes; Lolli, Pedro Augusto; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6114043331557199; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7077464105370061This dissertation is an ethnography of the experiences of cash transfer programmes, social security and employment policies, among the Yuhupdeh, indigenous people from the Upper Rio Negro. The work analyses the demand of these groups for social benefits and job exploring the links with the contexts of socio-political relations – indigenous and non-indigenous – in the region. The first chapter deals with the presence of the Yuhupdeh in the urban context: installation in camps, strategies for maintaining families during the period, relations between groups, etc. The second chapter presents a retrospective of indigenous politics throughout the historical process up to its contemporary form, characterized by the promotion of indigenous citizenship. The third chapter discusses how money and commodities circulate in the internal logic of exchange and sharing among the Yuhupdeh people from the notion of “aid”, describing the moral and affective components of exchange relations. The fourth chapter describes and analyses the impact of social benefits and jobs on the debt economy of the regional “aviamento” system. Finally, the conclusion outlines a reflection on “civilization” from the differentiation between “time of the ancients” and “current time” in the contemporary experience of the Yuhupdeh with social benefits and jobs.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Ensino informatizado de leitura e escrita para alunos dos anos iniciais do ensino fundamental na abordagem da resposta à intervenção no contexto da pandemia do Covid-19(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-05-07) Muto, Jéssica Harume Dias; Postalli, Lidia Maria Marson; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2748282330028870; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3822821764707104The Multi-tier Intervention Response (RTI) model aims to intervene early with children who are at risk (or difficulty) in acquiring academic skills. Thus, the model presents a direction in relation to the service proposal to work on the students' needs, demonstrating a preventive model to reduce academic difficulties, specifically for reading and writing in this study. Considering the promising results found with the use of an individualized and computerized reading and writing program (Learning to Read and Write in Small Steps - ALEPP), the present study aimed to evaluate the effects of this program, combined with the RTI model, on students entering elementary school at a public regular education institution. Due to the circumstances of the suspension of classes due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this research was divided into two studies. Study 1 partially used ALEPP's Module 1, combined with the multi-tier model of Response to Intervention, as a preventive measure against difficulties related to reading and writing learning by students entering elementary school with face-to-face application. In this study, we sought to monitor the performance of students from two classes of the 1st school year in large-scale assessments of reading skills. A quasi-experimental design with non-random distribution of participants was used, involving direct manipulation and control of variables of interest. Initially, pre-test data were collected through government assessment (PMAlfa) and a functional assessment measure instrument (FAM) of academic areas answered by the professor. Based on the multi-tier service, participants from each of the two classes were selected to carry out the reading and writing teaching program (tier 2 and 3 of the RTI). At the end of the school year, the same assessments (PMAlfa and FAM) were applied in order to verify possible effects of the proposed intervention with students with difficulties in reading and writing. The results showed that nine out of twelve students showed an increase in performance in reading and writing, one participant showed an increase in reading performance, one participant showed no increase in performance in the skills assessed, and one participant did not perform a monitoring assessment of their learning. In general, the assessments used to evaluate and direct participants to the tieres showed that the screening of students with signs of difficulties in traditional classroom teaching processes corresponds to an alarm of the need for intervention beyond the usual procedures of classroom. The data suggest that the RTI model is favorable for referring students to group and/or individual interventions. Study 2 used ALEPP Modules 1 and 2 with online application, with four students selected through the multi-tier model in Study 1, in the face-to-face context before the Covid-19 pandemic. Data collection with one of the participants, diagnosed with ASD, had the participation of the mother. The results showed that children benefited from exposure to the teaching program during the suspension of in-person classes, proving to be a promising resource for individualized online care.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Os outros somos nós: cordel e elaboração de livro paradidático de química para pessoas com deficiência visual(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-05-07) Santos, Michele Batista dos; Veraszto, Estéfano Vizconde; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6253673132956358; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5321390366616232The increase in enrollment of people with disabilities in regular public schools has increased the demand for research in the area. In this context, this research used the three axes proposed by Gabriel Kaplún to elaborate a informational books for students with visual impairments. The conceptual, pedagogical and communicational axis. Finally, it should be noted that the objectives of this research were carried out. The general objective was to understand the teaching of chemistry for students with visual impairments and from that point on, a informational books was developed that brought something new and differentiated to the area, a sensory and first-person narrative that addresses radioactivity, content little explored by research with educational materials, and so it was possible to explore the potential of this material. Also carrying out the specific objectives, as an inclusive and easily informational book was created, which also leverages resources to help improve language and orality, using cordel literature in the pedagogical itinerary, and this same itinerary proposes methodologies for applying informational books. from the theoretical assumptions of the area. Thus, like referrals for new research, the actual application of this material remains to broaden the objectives and contribute even more to inclusive education.
