listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Avaliação da acessibilidade ao emprego de individuos em condição de exclusão social(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-12-07) Segadilha dos Santos, Ana Beatriz Pereira; Sanches, Suely da Penha; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3857424839674606; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1519870967702558Every day people need to travel to participate in different activities spread around the city. If for any reason an individual is prevented from participating in their activities, in the intended and predetermined location, they may be considered socially excluded. The concept of accessibility can be used as a tool to measure social exclusion and identify the differences between the travel patterns of different groups. It is important to understand differences in accessibility levels to define urban planning processes and evaluate existing public policies, so that interventions in transport and land use measures can be elaborated considering social differences, mitigating inequalities in access to work. This paper evaluates the accessibility of job opportunities of three different groups, considering the level of social exclusion of workers in Recife, with feel transport and employment data. Six modes of transport and a combination of modes were considered for the analysis. The results showed that accessibility levels vary between social exclusion and the groups with low level of exclusion have 70% higher accessibility than groups with more excluded. The GIS analysis also identify the city areas and transport modes that have lower accessibility levels, this information can be used to elaborate land use and transport policies directed for require areas, to improve sustainable modes.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Hoje tirei uma foto minha(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-12-07) Camargo, Bruna; Lôbo, Maria Fernanda; Pedroza, Cecília; Gonsales, Bruno; Araújo, Gabrielle; Coster, Eliane; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5024531483544767The movie traces the journey of the director/screenwriter as they craft their self-portrait and engage in a conversation with their identity as a woman with a disability. Using archival footage, performances, and off-screen narration, Bruna shares her life experiences, spanning from her childhood to the film's production. The film is driven by the absence of representation for people with disabilities in the media and the scarcity of images of the director during her adolescence and adult life. It serves as an exploration of subjectivity and the longing to create a visual representation of oneself. The movie bridges the concept of existence with the physical embodiment of the creator, especially when her perception of her body's presence in various spaces, both tangible and artistic, had been denied.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Dia de visita: processos educativos emergentes na perspectiva de educadoras de um centro socioeducativo do estado de São Paulo - Brasil(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-12-07) Santos, André Luiz Pereira Alves dos; Onofre, Elenice Maria Cammarosano; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9391211432183878; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4989137712351420This study aimed to analyze the educational processes emerging from the social practice of Visitation Day from the perspective of educators of a Socio-Educational Center in the state of São Paulo. The involvement with the theme arose through my work as an educator in a Center for Socio-Educational Measures of Detention. Driven by the experience in this space and by the contributions of the theme to socioeducation, we established as a research question: what educational processes emerge from the social practice of the Visitation Day, from the perspective of the technical team? We understand that the Visiting Day is one of the pedagogical moments in these institutions and that educational processes emerge that can establish relationships and social bonds that enhance socialization and education. As a starting point, we studied some concepts that permeate the lives and experiences of young people serving detention, the function of the institution as an educational and pedagogical space, and the legal documents regarding Visitation Day. To weave these concepts, we used authors from the research line Social Practices and Educational Processes who discuss concepts of education, dialogicity, humanization, and conscientization such as Paulo Freire, Ernani Maria Fiori, and Enrique Dussel, in dialogue with the socioeducational scholar, Antônio Carlos Gomes da Costa. This is qualitative research and we conducted interviews through videoconferences with three educators from the technical team of a Socio-Educational Center. The material collected in the interviews was transcribed and organized, emerging four focuses of analysis: A) Visiting Day, a unique day: for some, it is eagerly awaited, for others, the worst day of the week; B) The meaning of Visiting Day after meeting with the family; C) So it's the mother who holds the gun; D) The boys were in a great uproar - in times of pandemic COVID-19 communication of young people with their families. The educators emphasize that the Visiting Day generates feelings and sensations in young people and that they are educated in these encounters. In the trajectory of this study, the pandemic of COVID-19 made us rethink the way we do research and the institutions of deprivation and restriction of liberty also had to seek other forms of communication. The meetings held remotely provided moments of learning, reflection, and understanding between the researcher and the educators, contributing to the formation process of both. Therefore, the study makes it possible that the dialog initiated here may contribute to reflections and understandings about the Visiting Day and the field of social-education.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Uso de técnicas de aprendizado de máquina para a elaboração de modelos de suscetibilidade à ocorrência de incêndios florestais nas áreas de proteção ambiental do Mosaico de Áreas Protegidas Sertão Veredas-Peruaçu, MG(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-12-07) Dias, Lívia Caroline César; Shimabukuro, Yosio Edemir; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1913003589198061; Moschini, Luiz Eduardo; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2728357583462262; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3339789330947215The Cerrado has been under strong pressure from the agricultural frontier in recent decades, with protected areas being almost the only remaining areas with some degree of conservation of this biome in Brazil. However, the imaginary lines that separate these conserved areas from anthropized areas have not been sufficient and as a consequence, wildfires have increasingly devastated these once protected environments. Geoprocessing tools have played an important role in enabling the mapping of these areas and in identifying more vulnerable areas, while machine learning techniques have made it possible to create models to predict the occurrence of wildfires in the near future in certain regions. In this work we seek to associate the geoprocessing tools with the machine learning techniques to be able to create for the Environmental Protection Areas of the Sertão Veredas Peruaçu Mosaic a forest fire predictive models. For this, we consider climatic variables (temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and precipitation), environmental (altitude, slope, NDVI, Hydrographic Distance), anthropogenic (Distance from Roads, Population Density, Distance of Ocupations and Land Use and Land Cover) and soil fuel moisture index (fine fuel moisture code, Duff moisture code and drought index) in order to explain when, where and why fire occurs in the region. In addition, these areas are composed of veredas environments of great relevance to the Cerrado and with an important role in the carbon stock, and for this reason we evaluate the quantification of organic carbon in these veredas. The choice of the best forest fire occurrence model by the logistic regression method was based on the Akaike Information Criterion. For each Environmental Protection Area (EPA), a final model was generated with a set of different variables, but all models showed high performance in predicting forest fires. The results of the final models showed that the Area Under the Curve (AUC), which is the model's hit rate, was greater than 95% for each of the three APA's. Another parameter used to assess the effectiveness of the models was the R² value, which presented values close to 1 in the final models, confirming that these models were adjusted. As for the concentration of organic carbon in the vereda soil, the results showed that this peat soil demonstrates the capacity to store carbon. The concentration of organic carbon in the arboreal area of the vereda is up to 20 times higher than in the cerrado strictu senso area.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, O que diz um nome?: reflexões sobre o colonialismo e o Estado-nação em Luanda(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-12-07) Sampaio, Luisa Tui Rodrigues; Dulley, Iracema Hilário; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3004789177515766; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6538471248311973Names, an important theme for anthropology, present themselves as an interesting starting point for analysis. Following this assertion, this master thesis has as its main focus to show and mobilize names as enunciated from the context of Luanda. In order to understand the possibilities of connections opened by them, as well as what they show, the focus is on the associations made by people, but also present in streets and papers, between names and the context where they are present in a historical perspective, this context being Luanda or Angola as a whole. Thus, names are a way of elaborating colonial relations and the political context in which they are situated. They are also a way in which denunciations of the violence engendered by colonialism are expressed. By producing fixations, displacements, and connections, names show the layers of discourses that mark the colonial and postcolonial context. In this understanding, enunciations about colonialism and the nation-state are evident in the figure of the Popular Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA) - the party that has been in government since independence in 1975. Thus, the argument presented is organized from a deepening debate about the names themselves and, later, in the description of what they show about the colonial presence in the Luanda region as well as about the MPLA's discourse and the idea of national history claimed by it. This master thesis is the result of the connections that the names allow us to make.
